Misbehavior.
Just happened to visit this store for replacement batteries on 6 different watches. The guy Suhail perhaps the owner, negotiated the cost which I agreed with. He said one hour and I was okay with that. I simply asked his name and he took offense of that. Suggested to start trusting as now I was in America and started behaving in a very offensive manner. I...

My father and I came here because my father's Luminox stopped working. Immediately, they told us it would be $30 for a new battery. My father explained that he just put a new battery in, so there is something else wrong with the watch. He asked the store manager to open it up and just take a look at it- not repair or change anything. The manager ends up taking the watch to the back, repairing it, changing the battery, and came back out saying it would be $43 for the services. After arguing with him saying neither he nor I authorized him to do any repairs on the watch so we shouldn't even be charged, the manager got angry and starting insulting us. He then called in the "district manager", aka his dad (since they only have one store...) who basically came in to insult and verbally attack my father and I. Worst experience I have ever had with a business.
Selling fake jewelry saying it'r real
The "Owner/Manager" Sean, sold my new husband matching "White Gold" wedding bands, with what he stated were "lab created diamonds", at what we thought was a great price, for the time being. I have done business with Sean on several occasions before this purchase so I thought he was a good guy. The wedding bands were purchased on May 2 and I kept noticing my husbands band fading. After cleaning the ring with a jewelry cloth, the shine of the ring faded more and more, until it eventually had a copper look to it. As of May 14, my husband and I decided to take the rings back, because there is no reason white gold should fade (I have silver pieces that I have had for 20 years that still look like new), and one of the other employees tried to say there was something in my husbands body chemical make-up that made the ring fade (BS). Sean was not available at this time so his "Assistant" advised us to leave the rings for 3 days and he we send them off to be cleaned. I felt myself becoming angry and decided to go and get mall security to call the Katy police, because the "Assist" was being an *sshole. Mall security along with the Katy police informed me that they have had to deal with the employees of the particular jewelry store on numerous occasions for the same issue. Trying to hold customers jewelry, and selling fake jewelry as if it were the real deal. I asked for a refund on 2 occasions, Once before the officer(s) arrived and was told "NO" and a second time, in front of one of the officers and was again told "NO" he would only clean it. I plan on going back tomorrow 5/15 when the "Owner/Manager Sean" is available hoping he will decide to make his customer happy and do the right thing by refunding my hard earned money, so that I can go and purchase a set of his and her wedding bands at a more reputable jewelry store. This is a very costly, emotional lesson for my new Hubby and myself. But, I plan to stay prayerful, and if need be, take this to small claims court.
We almost made the mistake of purchasing a bridal set at The Jewelry Box in Katy Mills.
We found a set we were interested in and was quoted a price that was reasonable. The salesman then whispered something (in front of us lol) to his associate. His associate then said I need to compare prices online with competitors..he returned to tell us he raised the price $600 more..then the other salesman says he would make a deal "just for us" and offered $300 off.
If shady behavior like this starts as soon as you walk in the door it's a clear sign to high tail it out of there.
So glad we turned the other way. Thanks for your complaint..hope other engaged couples see this before making a decision to purchase from this store.
I love to go shopping at Katy Mills, but every time I turn that corner and look into The Jewelry Box, I get so upset, same thing happened to me...wedding set of my dreams after 10 years of marriage turned into a night mare! What a coincidence lotion and body oils messed up my ring as well as others who have posted complaints on yahoo. My husband paid $1900 and I'm too embarrassed to even wear them. Every time I pass by I just want to run in warn everyone about the crap that they are doing! This happened back in 2009 I wonder if I can do anything about it still, thinking of taking it to the Houston Gold Exchange maybe I can finally let it be and let God deal with them. That was my first time there and I only enter there to warn others (if i ever work up the courage).
Hi,
I have also done a fair amount of business with the Jewelry Box and have always dealt directly with Sean, I felt he was a straight shooter and an all around good guy. Your story definitely got my attention, how did it turn out ? Did you speak with Sean and get a refund ? Did they offer any kind of explanation ?
Appreciate your feedback as I am considering a ring as an x-mas gift to my wife and am now hesitant.
Regards
Walter
