Jim Gauthier Auto GROUP ; sister dealerships
Was introduced to a sales rep at Jim Gauthier Buick GMC. Wonderful sales person working hard to find me a vehicle… Your sister dealership five minutes away on the same street had two vehicles I was very interested in purchasing and when she called about them they told her they were sold as in pending sales. Finding out later on my own inquiring that these vehicles at the time had not being sold they just didn’t want most likely her selling a product from a sister dealership; scooping their sale.
Again over the weekend another vehicle down the street at JIM GAUTHIER CHEV ; upon her inquiry was told that the vehicle was sold. When I phoned half an hour later on my own they told me it was available and to come down and look at the vehicle. Again most likely they didn’t want a sister dealership scooping their sale?! Extremely annoyed with your automotive group.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response to this… I am actually thinking of putting a complaint into the BBB in Winnipeg.
Parts and service, driver side visor
I own a 2012 Chevy cruz, in which the drivers side visor broke again. They replaced it last year and now the same visor broke again. This time the service manager wants me to pay half of it which will amount to 50 bucks, and he said they will pay the labor! The labor? It just snaps in. The plastic little end broke. Since it is the same side of the visor and the same visor as last time, now i, m wondering if they ever fixed it the 1st time. This is not good customer service. I have 35, 000 kilm. On my car, plus i, m the only driver, so I know I never abused it. Plus how many times do you think that I use the mirror? I would like you to look into this, and find out if they ever fixed it and why it keeps breaking, i, ve never owned a car where the visor broke! Ever! My name is Janice Soares. This should of been handled better by the service manager, who didn, t even come out to talk to me. Ya I know he is busy, but so is everyone else.
coupon not honored
Worse experience ever! Don't bother complaining to the manager because he'll just brush you off. No point complaining to BBB, because whats the point. They ran a so called contest on a website, but when you inquire when and where the contest is to be held - they don't know, coz the person that was suppose to run it has quit! Aside from that, you print out a coupon (worth $750.00) that is emailed to you after registering - but they won't honor it coz the person that ran the contest is no longer there. DON'T BOTHER EMAILING THE OWNER TO COMPLAIN...he won't even respond!

I bought a new 2013 Chev Malibu from Jim Gauthier. On October 4, 2016 I took my vehicle in for an oil change and was told by Kerry Adam's, the service advisor that a surge tank had a slow leak. He indicated that this should be replaced. On October 31, 2016 I took my car in because it was low on coolant and Kerry Adam's suggested that I put a new coolant reservoir bottle. We made a reservation to have this done on November 1, 2016 between 12:00 - 1:00 because the part had to be ordered from Edmonton. I question the time for delivering this part from Edmonton (it only took 12-hours to deliver to Jim Gauthier). The part cost $61.39 and the labor was $169.00 for total of $283.23. I went in at 1:00 and was done by 1:55 and they charged me $169.00 labor. I had to go back to Jim Gauthier's 3 additional times because the Reservoir Tank was still leaking. On the 3rd trip they changed the hose clamp and this fixed the problem. I believe I was mischarged for the work done for replacing the reservoir tank and it was not the issue. The tank wasn't needed, all they had to do was replace the hose clamp. I had the cam shaft, water pump, 4 wheel seals, back window defogger along with several recalls Jim Gauthier offered a free oil change for all my trouble.I have filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Office. I have purchased 4 new vehicles from Jim Gauthier and will never purchase another vehicle from them again and I recommend that to everyone not get service from Jim Gauthier.
The service received from Gauthier Chrysler stores in Winnipeg has been a horrifying experience. After buying a vehicle with them your relationship and service provided is not up to any standards of quality. I would not recommend buying any vehicles from the company as you are not going to be treated very well. I have a new dodge purchased through them with the number to number warranty. The warranty has yet covered anything and instead they keep saying things that were done are not covered in the warranty. The issues that I have had with my vehicle have only appeared after getting the car from the shop. The shop will take the car in for a recall then the next thing you know there is a air bag light of Bluetooth not working, or lights coming on and yet when you take the vehicle in to get fixed we are told that it won't be covered. This place just wants your money and has yet made me feel like I made a good decision purchasing my vehicle from them.
I am very upset with my experience at the Waverley Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership. They wasted multiple hours of my time today. I am so pissed off.

I called to confirm this was the actual price. I spoke with salesperson Ronald Hamm who confirmed this was the correct actual price. I told him I would drive there to purchase it right away. I drove with my wife to the dealership and met with Ronald Hamm. I saw the vehicle and he again confirmed the price. I then went to his office to sit down and sign the paper work to purchase it. All of a sudden the price goes up, significantly, over $2000. I tell him that he already confirmed the price and the website confirmed the price too.
He would not honour the advertised price. I complained that they should advertise the real price. He didn't care. I asked to speak with a manager. He didn't care either. They just said it was a good deal anyway. They would not honour the price advertised. Then the manager says to write out an offer for the advertised price and he would consider it. So I sit down and write out an offer equal to the advertised price and wait again. The manager then refuses the offer.
I also asked to take the car for the evening to test drive. The Manager Len Sass would not allow me to.
I am very upset that they wasted my wife's and I's time. If the real price was advertised, I would not have went all the way there to but it.
I was only interested in it at the actual price advertised. I even called to confirm. When I found out the real price was only when I sat down in Ron's office to try and purchase it.
Needless to say, me and my wife left there extremely mad. We were in the dealership from about 4 pm, to 6:15 pm. We drove from Valley Gardens to Waverely and back. We wasted so much time and left without a vehicle and were extremely mad.
I will now be filing a complaint against the dealership for false advertisement with the Better Business Bureau and any other department that I can find. I will also tell everyone that I know about this experience and how this dealership wasted my time and had made me and my wife extremely upset.
All we wanted to do was buy the truck for the advertised price. The dealership couldn't do it. They refused to even put the actual price on the website even after I asked them to do it so that they wouldn't piss any more potential customers off. They could care less.
I am pissed off.

Sorry, I bought 5 cars now from Jim Gauthier and Yap I know them also! If your rude and have a break down in front of a manager in the showroom, You might get brushed off.
And for any ONLINE contest you might register, read the TERMS & CONTITIONS in ANY ONLINE contest. They all use the same protection statement. They can cancel, modify or keep the winner PRIVATE. They don't have to tell you nothing of your not the winner.
And by the way... No DEALER on this planet will turn you away for $750.00 now a days.

Gauthier is a piece of [censor] with terrible practice of decieving and ripping off natives. I was charged 4000 for undercoating and it wasn't even put on the vehicle when it was delivered to the reserve. After I signed for the vehicle the driver said they would send me a copy of the financing contract.Never came and the payment was 250.00 more a month than promised from that child molester they have working there. Jim Knows, the one he paid off the judge to make go away...
