We booked a Kensington Tours package to Scotland. It was HORRIBLE. We paid an extra $1500 for a 5-star hotel package, we received 4-star hotels for all but 1. The itineraries wasted so much time with cheesy low-quality sites to visit. There were a couple of day trips that were OK through Rabbies, that they use (16 seat busses). They put us in a hotel where there was literally mold growing from the floor to ceiling. We wasted 1/2 day sorting that out. Then after Inverness, they sent us by train to Glasgow for 2 day, a waste of time. The itinerary they booked, again through Rabbies could have easily originated out of Edinburgh where we had already spent too many days without enough to see and do.
We sent a letter of complaint to Kensington. Their calculated profit, as compared to what we could have booked the exact trip for, was 180%! No KIDDING!
After complaining they offered a mere $2000 (we had paid $1500 extra for an undelivered 5-star hotel package); thus they only compensated us $500.
The company is a scam; if you call the main phone number, you are sent to a voicemail...even if calling the Operator.
We CANNOT recommend Kensington Tours.
