I had a really bad experience with Kinetico Incorporated. Their customer service is terrible. They don't seem to care about their customers at all. And if they mess up and don't show up for an appointment, they still charge you. It's really frustrating and unfair.

We had trouble with the electronic head. Now it's the 3rd time in less than a year. And they tell me they can't come to us for 2 days. Unacceptable.

Kinetico Incorporated Just replaced my Kinetco K5 drinking water system

Just replaced my Kinetco K5 drinking water system. Got tired of waiting for their expensive filters that were out of stock. Apparently, they can't get them anymore because they're made in China. I'm really happy with my new ISpring system made in Georgia. Don't recommend buying from Kinetico. They don't seem to care about providing drinking water once they have your money.

Kinetico Incorporated I had to have them come out twice

I had to have them come out twice. The first bill was $500 and the second one was over $400. The first time, the problem wasn't fixed. My well kept turning on and off, and even though the technician said it was fixed, it wasn't. He was supposed to tighten my soft water faucet on my kitchen sink, but he didn't do it. Now it's wobbly and leaking. They want to charge me another $100 to have him come out again, even though I already spoke to him and he said he would do it when he added a water line for my new fridge. I'm really unhappy with their service and I think it's really bad business to not fix the job completely and charge so much.

Kinetico Incorporated I ain't happy with the first contact

I ain't happy with the first contact. I'm building a new crib with a pond as my water source. They wouldn't give me a price for their system without testing the water...but the pond ain't even full yet, gonna take a few months. I need a quote for financing the project, but they couldn't even give me a rough estimate. Ain't no way I'm doing business with a company like that. All their competitors had no problem giving me a quote upfront, with the condition that the final price would depend on the water test...which is fine by me. Kinetico lost my business now and forever.

Kinetico Incorporated Customer service is a joke!

Customer service is a joke! It seems like a scam, especially with the dealer in Lubbock, Texas. I paid a good amount of money, but the statement I got only showed half of what I paid. I've had the system for 6 months, but they still haven't installed the osmosis system correctly. I've called them so many times, but the office help or manager have no clue or don't care. The salesperson is just a typical salesperson, spewing a bunch of nonsense. They always promise to call you back, but they never do. The water softener system works well, but I can't recommend this group to anyone and I'll do my best to tell people to stay away!

Kinetico Incorporated Kinetico and their customer service department have been the worst company I've ever dealt with

Kinetico and their customer service department have been the worst company I've ever dealt with. The system they sold us is not good enough for our well water. We have really hard water at our house and they sold us the K5 system with RO drinking water. In the first year or so, we used a lot of salt because the float in the salt tank broke and our system was over-salting. After they fixed it, we used less salt but our water still leaves salt deposits everywhere, even in our RO water. Our fridge was making shallow ice cubes because of low water pressure, so Kinetico had to install a separate air tank to increase the pressure. Our tap water is acidic and it's damaging our fixtures, leaving salt and calcium deposits on them. We tried contacting the company about our complaints, but they started ignoring us and not returning our calls. It's such a waste of time and money. Please, go somewhere else if you read this. Anywhere else. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with and I'm still dealing with them. I wish I could leave a zero or negative star review, but they only allow one star as the lowest rating. I'll keep complaining and fighting until they fix their system or make it right. I'm a combat veteran and I won't give up.

Kinetico Incorporated I bought a system from this company in 2020

I bought a system from this company in 2020. The system cost a few thousand dollars and was bought during the shutdown caused by the global pandemic. The sales rep didn't mention the shortage of filters to replace the system, which made less than one year of filtered water. The local dealer and the company itself are short, and offer no solutions to the lack of available replacement filters. They offer no timeline and refer you back to the local retailer who supposedly puts you on a wait-list. My attempts for resolution through the company directly were met with referring me back to a local vendor. I have a system I paid a few thousand dollars for that I can't use with two household members with compromised immune systems.

Kinetico Incorporated I bought a multi-stage water system for under the sink in February

I bought a multi-stage water system for under the sink on Feb. 19, 2019. It cost me $157.99 with tax and free shipping. We used the system and were able to buy new filters successfully until about 3 or 4 months ago. Since then, we couldn't find replacement filters anywhere in AZ or online. Finally, my wife found a dealer in Canada who had the filters, but they couldn't sell them to people in the US. I found a dealer on the east coast who had the filters in stock, but he couldn't sell them to me because of sales zones according to his agreement with the manufacturer. However, the manufacturer still sells the system online. They have ignored my emails asking for help in finding replacement filters. I think it's not right to sell products that a company can't or won't service for its customers.

Kinetico Incorporated I also filed with local TN dealer for this product

I also filed with local TN dealer for this product. We bought a *** from their local dealer here in Mid TN on 7/12 for $4,212. We bought it thinking that our local dealer would service it. But now, the unit needs maintenance and the local dealer isn't responding or showing up for service appointments. We called this place in OH, the manufacturer, to buy parts so we can do the maintenance ourselves. They said they don't sell parts and we have to go through our local dealer. But that's not possible because of the communication breakdown and missed appointments. We think we've been tricked and we want a refund for what we paid.

Kinetico Incorporated I bought a whole house filtration system, water softener, and reverse osmosis drinking system from Kinetico Incorporated

I bought a whole house filtration system, water softener, and reverse osmosis drinking system from Kinetico Incorporated. Everything was fine for about 1.5 months, but then I started noticing a chemical smell in the water. This smell is only present when the system is not in use. I live in an area with high levels of Chloramine, and sometimes it exceeds 4. The level at my house was 3.69 when the salesperson came to install the system. They suggested using two whole house filters due to the high level. I reached out to Kinetico and they informed me that their equipment is tested at a Chloramine level of 3-3.3. The system cannot handle high levels without breaking down and causing a chemical smell in the water. They shouldn't sell this system to customers with high Chloramine levels if they haven't tested it on their own systems. If they had told me this from the beginning, I could have saved $7,000. Now they refuse to give me a refund even though I can't use the system.

Kinetico Incorporated I contacted the Local Venice Florida Office and they told me that they changed the Company and no longer carry the Original Pre Filter

I contacted the Local Venice Florida Office and they told me that they changed the Company and no longer carry the Original Pre Filter Cartridges Company. Then I contacted the Bonita Springs Florida Kinetico Dealer & Service to find out the name of the Original Pre Filter 10" 20 *** Filter Cartridge Manufacturer and the Part Number. At first, a very nice lady *** answered the phone and said that she will forward my request email to the manufacturer to get a response. Days and weeks passed, and no response. I called back and she transferred me to the Service Dept and he told me that the filters they carry are all the same quality. Or if you don't like it, you can get it online. I did not like his answer and contacted the Kinetico Corporate Office. They took all my information and no answer or response. So I'm in limbo - nobody can tell me the specific original company name and its part number. I'm still waiting and trying to file my complaint with ComplaintsBoard.com of Cleveland. Maybe you can help me find out the information I'm looking for.

Kinetico Incorporated In January , I bought a $3,000 water softener and drinking system from Kinetico Incorporated

In January , I bought a $3,000 water softener and drinking system from Kinetico Incorporated. In the 3 years that I've had the system, I've had 6 service calls, each costing $139. Recently, I called for service on Wed., March 3, and left a voice message. My call was returned the same day. I explained that my system was continuously running again and the pistons were stuck open. This has been my complaint 3-4 times. This time, I expressed that I believe I have faulty equipment and questioned if it could be traded in or replaced because I'm having to turn the water on and off several times a month to unstick the pistons. I was informed that the office manager was gone for the day but she will get my message and return my call. Needless to say, 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting for that call.

During previous service calls, the tech informed me that the pistons get stuck open due to our bad city water and pressure surges. The water company, of course, disagrees with this and points their finger back at Kinetico's faulty equipment. One of Kinetico's techs instructed me to turn the water off when this happens, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on, and this would unstick the piston. Although this works (and saves money by not having a service call), I don't feel I should have to do this several times a month.

Additionally, the gauge on the drinking water system does not work. It never has, and I was told not to worry about it, that the system would shut off when the filters needed changing, and just be sure to change the filters every 12-18 months. The bypass is very hard to push. I cannot push it and won't use a hammer for fear of breaking it.

Other notes to consider: I am a 57-year-old clean, neat, tidy person. I live alone and have average (or below) water usage. I have never put my Kinetico water system in jeopardy in any way and only use Kinetico's expensive salt. In January , I emailed Kinetico's customer service, and they simply turned me over to my local store in Indy. Prior to buying this system, I researched other companies and brands. No company received perfect ratings all the time, but in the end, I decided to purchase from what I thought was a reputable company who would stand behind their product. I am sorely disappointed; they are not standing behind their product. Most of my life, I lived in the country with a well that had very hard water. I have never had a water softener that required as many service calls as this one.
