The Knights Inn said they had free breakfast, but there wasn't any. They didn't even have a coffeemaker in the room. When I asked at the front desk, she said, "No breakfast." But if you check their website, it says they offer free breakfast as one of the things they provide. That's not right. They should either give breakfast or update their website (or what shows up in a web search) to tell the truth.

On 05/20/2022, I paid $185.50 to stay at Knights Inn Dayton North. However, when I woke up in the morning, I noticed that my arms and legs were extremely itchy, and I had bumps all over my body. I decided to investigate and discovered bedbugs on the beds and headboard. I even have videos and pictures of the live bugs that I found. Unfortunately, when I asked the hotel for a refund, they refused to give me my money back.

We came across this hotel, Knights Inn Dayton North, and unfortunately, it caused some unexpected trouble for us. When the potential landlord contacted the hotel, they informed them that we owed nearly $500 for damages and had been trespassed from the property.
Feeling confused and concerned, we decided to reach out to the attorney general's office for assistance. Surprisingly, the hotel quickly changed their tune and claimed that it was all a mistake. They admitted that someone had accidentally left an invoice open, but despite this, we were still considered trespassed.
What made this situation even more puzzling was the fact that my husband had actually worked at the hotel for a month after we had left. I would often visit him at work, and not once did anyone mention anything about the alleged damages or trespassing. It seemed like a complete surprise to us.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, we requested that the hotel provide us with the supposed invoice. However, since then, they have gone completely silent. I have some serious health problems, including stage 4 cancer, a brain aneurysm, and heart issues. I had informed them about my conditions before checking in. I paid $134.90 for the first two nights and $69.97 for the third night. I asked if they could give me a discount because the room didn't match what was shown on the website, but they refused. I asked for yet another room and had to pay an additional $20 for room number 220. However, when I entered the bathroom, I discovered a brown recluse spider with a bunch of babies underneath it.
Feeling frustrated, I asked for a refund. The staff told me to come back the next morning (August 28th) to receive my $90 refund. I returned as instructed, but they only offered me the $20 refundable deposit, even though I never stayed in the room due to the bug infestation. I am disappointed and would like to either get my money back or receive some form of compensation.

Once I arrived to check into my room, the front desk told me that they required a $100 deposit for a non-smokers room. I told him to switch it to a smoking room instead and then he told me that it would still be a $37 deposit for the smoking room... but when I booked online, it did not mention anything at all about any extra fees and instead said that any extra fees were included (I have provided a screenshot of my booking confirmation, it even said that my booking was guaranteed and there was no need to call the hotel to reconfirm.) This is the second time that I've had this same issue at this hotel with this same employee, nobody else that works there has asked me for a smoking room deposit, and even the response from Knights Inn on the other complains listed says that there is NO DEPOSIT for a smoking room? So now they get to keep all my money and I don't have a place to sleep tonight?
