Avoid the Pitfalls: A Personal Warning About PrepaidGift Balance
Dear Reader, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with PrepaidGift Balance to protect you from potential harm. This company, unfortunately, embodies the epitome of a scam. The issues I encountered, from the inability to activate the card to the lack of customer support, were just the tip of the iceberg. The website is a maze of errors, the phone support is a dead end, and the whole process reeks of fraudulent activities. My hard-earned money was at stake, and I found myself entangled in a web of deceit and inefficiency. Please, learn from my ordeal and steer clear of PrepaidGift Balance. Your financial safety is paramount. Stay vigilant, stay safe. Warm regards.

Works perfectly sometimes, total garbage sometimes
I've been using cards from this company for a couple years now. Since then, I've had times where it works just fine, but other times, it messes up. Today, I tried using the website to check the balances of several cards I have, but it kept telling me the numbers were wrong. I tried calling, and I think they have my number blocked, because calls to them won't even connect. Yet, I used one of the cards today and it worked just fine.
Website Broken; Call Instead
I came to these reviews because when I tried to access the website to register my card, my computer said it was not protected. However, there still is a way to register it. If you call the number on the back of the paper (***536) then you're taken to an automated program that can help you set up your card. It is annoying that you can't just use the instructions they give you, but if you have purchased this card, you can still use your money.
Bought my first item online and the card was not immediately rejected, so I believe the registering worked. HOWEVER, if you are considering buying this card, don't. There are other card services that are so much easier to use and could save you some troubles.
Prepaid giftcards
Well the card seems to differ from vanilla or other types of prepaid mastercards that I've purchased in the past which were ready to use upon purchase. I purchase the giftcards because as a rule they can usually forgo the hassle of registration and activation which requires personal info. Name, address, phone, as do the regular prepaid debit cards. However this type of giftcard which is offered by US Bank indicates that if you desire to use the card for online purchases you should register the card in your name at www.prepaidgiftbalance.com. Which I did promptly and still the two attempts I made to use the card online were declined. Personally I will pay more attention on my next giftcard purchase and attempt to purchase the vanilla or other providers cards.
Thought it was a scam. but was WRONG
Wanting to use your gift card for large, online purchases? Do this FIRST ti avoid it being declined ( or, after it has been declined): call the customer service number and register the card in your name AND address or it WILL be declined every time!
Trust me, I was at the end of my rope and was ready to call it a scam ( 500 bucks later) but decided to call their supposedly "non-existent" customer service number. I was told it was a "really high call volume" but waited only a few seconds before being helped. A really nice lady assisted me and registered my address and told me to let the card " rest" for24 hours before attempting to use it ( I immediately had to go into my Amazon account and remove the card as the payment option I had on file otherwise it would cause the card to lock up again if Amazon tried running it overnight ( I will add it back after 24 hours). Very frustrating, as I had many items in my basket... hopefully when the gift card is unlocked I can go back and my stuff is still there to checkout... they say it's for our own protection, which I appreciate, but NOWHERE did I see any mention of this on their ' site'... sigh.
Trouble at first but a call fixed everything
Tried to use website to register the card so I could use to pay bills online but gift card site was down. Tried several times, so decided to call instead. I was leery based on reviews, but the associate I spoke with was very nice and helped me register the card quickly and easily. Card was already activated and funds loaded. She said to allow 1 hour before using online, so I'll see how it goes.
Review: PrepaidnGift Balance from prepaidgiftbalance.com - Serious Limitations and Frustrations
As a loyal customer of US Bank for 15 years, I recently found myself in a bind when I overdrafted my account and couldn't use my checking account to pay my car note. A friend lent me $200.00 and I headed to Kroger to purchase a prepaid card. I assumed it would be like any other prepaid card, but I was mistaken. This particular card, PrepaidnGift Balance from prepaidgiftbalance.com, had some serious limitations.
First of all, I discovered that you can't get cash back or use an ATM with this card. This was frustrating, but the real trouble came when I tried to use the card to pay my note to Capital One. I attempted to make the payment three times, but each time it was rejected as an "invalid merchant". I contacted PrepaidnGift Balance's customer service line and was told that registration could take a couple of hours. I waited and tried again the next day with the same results. I called the company over 20 times the next day, but was unable to connect with a representative due to high traffic.
Finally, I was able to speak with someone who informed me that they were in the middle of site maintenance and couldn't provide any information. I was advised to call back in the morning. This left me feeling incredibly frustrated and at a loss for what to do. On top of everything else, when I reached out to US Bank's fraud division for assistance, I was directed to their card services department, who denied any involvement with the card. This was especially confusing as the card clearly indicates that it is "ISSUED BY US BANK NATIONAL ASSOCIATION."
In light of these issues, I urge you to be cautious when considering purchasing a PrepaidnGift Balance card. Not all prepaid debit cards are created equal, and this one is clearly fraught with complications. I have used other prepaid cards in the past without incident, so I feel it is important that others be aware of the issues I have faced with this particular card.
US Bank Prepaid Gift Card Nightmare: A Frustrating and Disheartening Customer Service Experience
I recently had a parenting nightmare when my daughter was stuck 3000 miles away from home on a trip with friends, with only a gift card needed to get her through the vacation. Unfortunately, the gift card she received failed to activate on the prepaidgiftbalance.com website. My daughter reached out to me for help, and as any concerned parent would do, I immediately called the number on the back of the card for assistance.
To my dismay, I called not once, not twice, but three times, and was met with the same frustrating answer each time. Instead of being transferred to the IVR for activation, I was put back in the queue for the same group I had been calling. Each call left me more frustrated and more determined to get to the bottom of the issue.
However, my frustration reached its peak when I spoke with a sarcastic representative who kept repeating the same customer service script over and over again. She even had the nerve to tell me that in order to activate the card, I would need to send in personal identification information. The absurdity of this had me reeling. I told her that such a demand was ridiculous, and that my daughter needed the money immediately for her trip. I explained that she was in a dire situation, and I was met with no compassion.
After arguing with this representative, she finally hung up on me. As someone who has worked in the banking industry for years, I was shocked at my experience with customer service. Such a lack of compassion and basic human decency when dealing with people's money is inexcusable. These gift cards are issued by US Bank, and I can't help but wonder if this negative experience is indicative of the low standards and best practices that large financial organizations such as US Bank thrust upon their consumers.
Because of this experience, I am hesitant to give a US Bank prepaid card to anyone I know. It was an unnecessary debacle that caused a lot of additional stress for me and my daughter. I hope that US Bank, and other financial institutions, will take a closer look at their approach to customer service to ensure that their consumers are treated with respect, compassion, and understanding. In my opinion, I would avoid this company in the future.
Beware of PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com): My Unfortunate Experience Review
I recently had an unfortunate experience with PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) and I want to share my thoughts to warn others from falling into the same situation. I purchased two Visa gift/debit cards for a total of $350 from a local grocer on June 23, 2019. Right from the moment I tried to use the cards, I encountered several issues that made my shopping experience quite frustrating.
To resolve these issues, I called PrepaidnGift Balance's customer service hotline, which was printed on the cards, right away. Despite the funds being loaded onto the cards, I was repeatedly having the following issues: 1) failed airline ticket purchase of $250, 2) unsuccessful UBER transportation purchase, 3) unauthorized restaurant charge for $8.00, and 4) disapproved gas station transaction upfront.
I was given various reasons for these issues, which I found to be unacceptable. For instance, I was told that it would take an hour for my card to become active after registration when I had already done so. Additionally, some airlines charged a hold fee of 20% in addition to the purchase price, and their system displayed that I had entered an incorrect pin code multiple times (even though I had not).
Sadly, the customer service representatives refused to take any action regarding my cards. Initially, I was advised that they could send me a refund check via mail, which four other representatives later denied. The card was only useful for me once, and I used it to purchase an $18.00 meal online. I have a balance on the card that I can't use because it won't work.
My experience with PrepaidnGift Balance was a complete waste of time and resources. The company inconvenienced and embarrassed me, to say the least. What made it worse was that after undergoing this ordeal, I searched online and found that there were dozens of similar complaints from customers who have dealt with the same problems that I experienced. In fact, their rating is amongst the worst I've ever seen in online ratings.
Considering the issues I had with this company, I'd like to warn others not to patronize them. It's not worth it, and it may turn out to be one of your greatest mistakes.
PrepaidnGift Balance Visa Gift Card: Poor Service and Limited Usability
I recently received a $25 Visa gift card from PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com), which is issued by U.S. Bank National Association. However, I have had nothing but trouble with this card since receiving it. Every time I try to use it, the card is declined. I attempted to seek help on the website but found that it only provides a number to call for assistance. Unfortunately, every time I called, I received a recorded message stating that all service representatives were busy. This left me with only two options: check the balance or report the card stolen. I have made numerous attempts to contact customer service over the last three months, but with no luck.
Finally, I started entering random numbers on the keypad during balance check attempts, and after multiple failures, the system finally routed me to a live operator. The operator provided me with several bogus reasons why the card was being declined, including claims that certain businesses were saving my card information. I explained that this was impossible since businesses only send payment requests with user information, and they do not confirm or deny the saving of information. The operator’s naming of specific businesses even hinted at kickbacks, which is illegal.
To summarize, this card company claims that their card is accepted anywhere that Visa debit is accepted, which is a lie. In actuality, it is impossible to use this card anywhere except specific businesses. Moreover, they have no customer service available on their site, and the service line is nearly impossible to use. Even if you do manage to get through to a customer service operator, their explanations for card issues may be bogus. In short, unless you want to deal with these issues, it is best to choose a different gift card company. I find it puzzling that Visa allows this company to keep their license, given their poor reputation.
Horrible Customer Service Experience with PrepaidGiftBalance.com - Avoid this Company at All Costs!
In January, I had a wonderful plan to surprise my husband with a trip booked through VRBO. I decided to finance it using Affirm and made payments using prepaid gift cards so my husband wouldn't know about my big surprise. Two months later, my husband informed me that he had something planned during the timeframe I had booked the trip for. So, I approached Affirm and requested a refund by check, but they refunded back to the prepaid gift cards that I no longer had in my possession. I contacted the prepaidgiftbalance.com customer service seeking help.
To retrieve the refunds, I was told that all I needed was proof of purchase and either the 16 digit card number or the 10 digit code. I supplied all of this information which I retrieved from the merchant eight or nine times. Despite this, I kept getting emails stating that the documentation I had provided to them was insufficient, and they required proof of purchase even though the documents were directly from the merchant. To my surprise, the company only offers fax as a communication medium, which is quite disappointing, especially in 2020. I had to fax it to them, but unfortunately, their fax machine was not reliable at all, which forced me to mail it to them, and this took another 10 days of waiting. I have never witnessed such horrible customer service.
However, the funds we are talking about are a massive amount of money for our single-income family, which is why I'm refusing to give up. Nevertheless, I feel obliged to warn others, so my advice is not to buy these gift cards unless you plan on using them immediately without the slightest chance of refunding. It's disappointing to know that the $5.95 charge on the back of the gift card is meant to provide protection and make it easy for you to register, get a replacement, check balances, and so on. Yet when you actually need a replacement, the procedure is made as difficult as humanly possible. In my experience, it feels like they are testing your patience to see if you give up. Therefore, I would avoid using prepaidgiftbalance.com, and look for other companies with better customer service.
Beware of Issues with PrepaidnGift Balance: A Review and Important Information for Consumers
My wife received a gift card from PrepaidnGift Balance during Christmas, but we encountered some issues when we tried to activate it. Specifically, we noticed that there was no CVV code, so we contacted the company and they issued us a new card. However, when we received the new card, there was no balance on it. We've been waiting for two months for the issue to be resolved, but to no avail.

Prepaidgiftbalance.com: A Dismal Experience with Online Shopping
The experience with PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) has been quite dismaying. The situation started when I received a gift card, and upon opening the package, I found a note that stated, "Your card can be used for in-store purchases only. For online use, go to Prepaidgiftbalance.com." Initially, I shrugged it off, thinking it was normal.
However, when I went shopping and tried using the card, the clerk repeatedly tried to charge the card, but it was declined each time. I hadn't used the card before, so it seemed strange. I ended up paying with cash and didn't think much about it being a mistake.
Later, I decided to activate the card to avoid any future troubles. When I tried to register on the website, I kept getting kicked out to the login screen, which was quite frustrating. Finally, I was able to register, but the process was rather arduous.
I thought everything would be fine after that, but when I ordered some items online and used the card, my payment was rejected. Upon checking the site, I found out my order was not what I initially requested. Instead, it was an order for something that cost only $1.00, which was definitely not what I intended.
This error on their part extensively annoyed me, and the fact that the site now had my card information was disconcerting. Moreover, the people who gifted me the card are now out of their money, which is clearly a scam. I used to support this business, but this new website is clearly problematic.
I believe the company should take steps to rectify their mistakes, or they may soon crumble. It is unacceptable that such a thriving business should be so full of errors. I would suggest that individuals avoid purchasing gift cards that direct them to this website.
Avoid PrepaidnGift Balance for Gift Cards - Terrible Customer Service and Security Risks
I had a really bad experience with PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) when trying to sort out an issue with my gift card. I followed all the instructions they gave me to the letter, but it seemed like nobody was taking responsibility for my case. Every time I called, I was told that it would take another 90 days to resolve the issue, despite having sent in all the required paperwork. I finally gave up in August 2018 when they asked me to fax a copy of my Social Security card, something that is explicitly recommended against due to security risks.
I can't believe that a company like this is still in business. It's clear that they don't care about their customers' security or satisfaction, and the employees I dealt with were unprofessional and uneducated. It's especially concerning that they take money from people via third parties, such as Ralph's grocery store, and then make it nearly impossible for people to actually use the gift cards they've purchased.
I strongly recommend that people avoid purchasing gift cards from this company - if you see "www.prepaidgiftbalance.com" on the back, steer clear! It's just not worth the risk of losing your money and dealing with the terrible customer service. I plan on reporting this issue to the complaintsboard.com, and I really hope that PrepaidnGift Balance is held accountable for their fraudulent practices. If anyone from the company is reading this and wants to help resolve my case, my reference number is ***318. It shouldn't have to take so long and be so difficult to get a replacement gift card with the proper funds on it, and requesting people's Social Security information is simply unacceptable.
My Frustrating Experience with PrepaidnGift Balance: Poor Customer Service and Non-Functional Gift Cards
I recently had a frustrating experience with PrepaidnGift Balance which I feel compelled to share in this review. I received a gift card for $100 from my workplace and was excited to use it for Christmas shopping. However, when I tried to use it online, it was declined. I assumed that I needed to register the card online, but the website said that the card was not recognized. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I finally spoke to a customer service representative whose English was difficult to understand. She informed me that the card had already been charged for purchases at a café in a different state, which was confusing as the card was supposed to be brand new and unactivated.
To fix the problem, she spoke to a supervisor who agreed to waive any fees and send me a replacement card. After waiting two weeks for the replacement, I received it only to find that it was deactivated. It took another two weeks to receive a new one, which I tried to activate online, only to be told that the CVV did not match the card. I called customer service again and was put on hold for an hour before speaking to a representative named Gene, who was whispering and laughing to someone else before finally answering my call. She suggested that I try activating the card again the next day, saying that the card was locked because I had entered the wrong CVV too many times. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she refused, which only added to my frustration.
As someone who works in telecommunications, I understand that customer service jobs can be stressful, but I expect professionalism and basic problem-solving skills from the representatives I speak with. In this case, PrepaidnGift Balance's customer service was severely lacking. The representatives were rude, cutting me off and ordering yet another replacement card instead of actually addressing the issue at hand. It's concerning that it took so long for the company to get their act together and send a functional card, and I would advise others not to purchase gift cards from this company.
Beware: PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) - My Terrible Experience with Kroger Gift Cards
Wow, I had a terrible experience with PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) and wanted to share my story. I went to Kroger to purchase a $300 gift card for fuel points, as my coupon for 4x fuel points had just been redeemed. However, even though I should have received 1200 fuel points, my account did not reflect this. That was just the beginning of my frustrations.
I purchased a Visa gift card and asked the cashier if I needed to activate it. She assured me it was ready to go, so I headed to run errands. I used it once at the dollar store without issue, but when I returned to Kroger for my big grocery shopping trip, the card did not work at the register. After calling the credit card company, I learned that a hold had been placed on the card for no apparent reason. They reset it and said it should work within an hour.
Embarrassed, but hopeful, I waited and checked the card at a gas station, where it worked fine. However, when I returned to Kroger an hour later, the card didn't work again. It turned out there was a 24-hour hold on my card, which ultimately took 3 calls to customer service to resolve.
In the end, I learned that the card could not be used at places like Kroger, Walmart, and Target without first registering it. This was a communication breakdown between the employee at Kroger and the credit card company. I wasted half my day and left with no groceries despite having enough funds on the card.
I am sharing my experience so that others don't have to go through what I did. The lack of employee education on this matter and the promotion of these gift cards to save a few dollars ultimately caused me stress, frustration, and wasted time and money.

Phantom Scam Alert
These cards which are sold in Kroger's and their other stores are scams or some cards are. How and where the scam begins, that I am not sure as there a few theories. But I would not be surprised if the customer service is in on it.
You may buy these and they load fine but they are are subpar at best when it comes to actually using them.
The card I had activated at Krogers at the register. But when it was registered for online use on the website it was immediately flagged.
Hackers/Scammers by have the system that USBANK uses or maybe customer service turns is doing something because they are way too dismissive, rude, and very aggressive at the most simple inquiry. They also will like like it's nothing to get you off the phone. Once they get you off the phone after you have input your card number and the 3 digit code, they will block your card and number. You can't check the balance anywhere not on their online site or on the phone. The customer service number will pick up the phone and hang up on you if you try to call back.
On the website, it directs you to fill out an online form if you card is lost or stolen. That link hasn't worked for weeks but instead directs you to call into their scam-like customer service line. Very shady practices by US Bank is the the issuer of these cards.
One card I got had a holographic film over the bar code where you scan it at a check out or register. Something I have not seen on other gift cards.
I really wish someone would investigate this USBANK and their practices. I don't know how they aren't aware of non-ethical their customer service is which is why they are bold enough to take people's balances, or try not to help people or pretend by telling you something to get off the phone, only to block the number and the card.
1- They may tell you they are fixing the card and give it 30 minutes, only for it to be lie.
2- If you call back, they may read some literature that has nothing to do with your issue and may say that it's blocked for 12 hours.
3-When you call back they may say no it wasn't 12 hours it was actually 24 hours only for it to be a lie
4- They may say, you put in your three-digit security code wrong too many times. But if you have your pin, you can use it in the store if it doesn't need the three-dgiit code. Only for it to be lie
5- They can block your IP address, phone number, gift card number so you can't call and inquire about any issues.
6-The website may or may not work at any time. You use to be able to submit your ID for lost and stolen cards. As of today, they direct you to call their scammy customer service located in a foreign country. Who may sound like they have a disdain for you for having the audacity to ask where the money went that you used to purchase the card for yourself or for others.
Beware, and report to as many agencies and places that you can.
All the cards can't be tampered or depleted because that's too much of a red flag. So some may have issues and some may not. I am leaving this here for the ones who may have issues.
The holidays are coming soon. And these things are in abundance in Krogers so I expect more people being taken advantage of. Witht hem listening to just enough not be be flagged like they should be since this has been an issue starting years ago.
Controversial Review Raises Concerns About Government Tracking and Online Payment Restrictions
I recently stumbled upon PrepaidGiftBalance, a website that offers a convenient way to manage your gift card balance. While checking out the website, I came across a review that expressed concern about government tracking and online payment restrictions. It was a controversial topic that peaked my curiosity.
The reviewer claimed that Obama and the "shadow" government were working towards eliminating anonymous ways to pay for goods and services to track citizens. They went on to explain that gift cards are becoming increasingly difficult to use as Obama passed a secret rule prohibiting their use internationally. Many unsuspecting customers have complained about their cards not working abroad, despite being valid.
The review went on to state that the government wants to eliminate the use of cash entirely, and even went as far as mentioning Hillary Clinton's plan to have TSA on trains and buses for "your safety"- but in reality, it's to keep tabs on who is a part of her league and who isn't. They even suggested that people have died under her, including the person who started the Russian investigation.
Their final point was the possibility of chips in our heads and experimental cashless stores that use sensors installed to withdraw money from our bank accounts simply by walking out of the store without the need for any human interaction.
Although I cannot verify the authenticity of these claims, I found them intriguing and alarming. It's important to stay informed and aware of any potential privacy and security concerns when it comes to financial transactions. I appreciate PrepaidGiftBalance's efforts to provide secure and easy ways to manage gift cards, and I will continue to visit their website for my gift card balance management needs.
Unsatisfactory Experience with PrepaidnGiftBalance: Proceed with Caution
As someone who recently used PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) to make a purchase, I have a mixed experience to share. Initially, I had no issues with my first transaction and even made a second purchase without any hiccups. However, things quickly turned for the worse soon after.
I began to notice that certain websites were declining my card, citing insufficient funds as the reason. Upon further investigation, I realized that I had overspent on my first purchase, leading to a lack of funds on my card. Fair enough, that was my mistake. However, what followed left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.
I attempted to wait for my previous transactions to be redacted, but instead of simply waiting, I found myself unable to access the PrepaidnGift Balance website altogether. I couldn't access my account or even receive any sort of error message. This led me to believe that the site was down, but given the lack of any notification, I couldn't be sure.
After ten days of waiting, I still haven't been able to access my account. I'm left wondering what the issue is and why the company would treat a customer in this manner, especially considering that I had already made purchases with them. I feel as though they've taken my money and left me with an unsatisfactory experience.
In conclusion, while PrepaidnGift Balance may work for some, I cannot recommend it based on my recent experience. If you're in the market for gift cards, I suggest looking elsewhere and sticking to reputable companies like Amazon or GameStop. It's disappointing to see a company treat its customers in such a manner, and I hope that they can improve their attitude towards customers in the future. If you come across prepaidgiftbalance.com on your Visa gift card, I suggest proceeding with caution.

Challenges Disputing a Charge on PrepaidGift Balance Card: Poor Customer Support
I recently had an issue with a PrepaidGift Balance card, which had been used just three days after it was opened. After contacting their Cardholder Services department, I was told that I would receive a notice in the mail to dispute the charge. However, after waiting a month and not receiving any form, I called in to enquire about it. The representative then faxed the form to me, but unfortunately, despite multiple attempts at sending it back, the fax line wasn't working. I even tried different faxes and sent it at different times, but to no avail.
When I contacted the customer service representatives again to explain the situation, they gave me another fax number for a different department and told me to list on the cover sheet to transfer it to the dispute department. However, when I called the next day to ask if it had been received, I was informed that they couldn't transfer the faxes after all. They advised me to try faxing it again to the original number. I explained that the fax line wasn't working, but they told me that it was either that or mailing it in.
This was a frustrating experience as I had already paid multiple times to have the form faxed and mailed. Moreover, the process of trying to resolve the issue was dragged on for an unreasonable amount of time, as I was now required to mail in the form and wait for 90 days for a resolution. As a paying customer, it is disappointing to have had to face such problems and obstacles in trying to dispute a charge.
The PrepaidGift Balance team needs to improve their assistance to their customers in situations such as these. It is unacceptable to expect customers to pay multiple times to have things faxed and mailed to them, especially when their fax line appears to be faulty. They need to evaluate and upgrade their processes to ensure they are providing prompt and effective customer support.
Not Recommended: My Frustrating Experience with PrepaidGift Balance
I recently had an experience with PrepaidGift Balance, and unfortunately it left me feeling quite frustrated. I had loaded $500 onto the card and was initially able to log onto the website twice - once to activate the card, which was a smooth process, and once to check my balance. However, when I attempted to log in a third time, I received an error message and was instructed to contact customer service.
Despite several attempts, I have not been able to log into the website since that day, meaning that I am unable to check my balance or manage my account online. I have spoken to the customer service team on the phone, but have found that I am always met with long hold times which can be frustrating.
I believe that there is still a small balance left on my card, however, the phone system states that there is zero balance and I am unable to log onto the website to check. I have decided to wait a few days to see if a balance settles after my last fuel purchase (though I must say, I wouldn't recommend using this card to purchase gas).
That being said, there are some positive aspects of PrepaidGift Balance. I have been able to use the card to make purchases online, at convenience stores, and restaurants. However, there were a couple of online retailers that did not accept this payment method.
Overall, due to my experience with technical issues and difficulties with the customer service team, I am not convinced that I would recommend this option to others. I will be exploring different options when the need arises again, and encourage others to do the same.
PrepaidnGift Balance Cards: Beware of Fraud and Unreliability
If you're considering purchasing PrepaidnGift Balance cards, I urge you to reconsider. My family received two $100 cards from a reputable store for Christmas, only to find out that both had already been used before they were even purchased. To make matters worse, one card had a balance of just $17 left and the other had just $13 left. This seems like an inside job to me, as why else would both cards already be used before we even received them?
I called the PrepaidnGift Balance company to report the missing $82 and was surprised to actually get through to someone. However, their response raised more concerns. They said they were going to send me forms and needed a picture of my driver's license, which felt a little sketchy to me. They also said they needed to investigate before sending me a new card with $100, which they did eventually do. However, they cancelled the remaining $17 and said they would file a claim with Target. This seemed ridiculous to me because why would it be Target's responsibility to redeem the cards? The problem lies with PrepaidnGift Balance cards, not the merchants that redeemed them.
After some time, I finally received some paperwork saying that my claim had been closed and the balance missing $82 was credited back to the account. However, there's still one big problem - the card was cancelled, so I can't even use it or validate it. It's a terrible feeling knowing that my mother-in-law spent $200 on these cards, only to give them to thieves.
Overall, I would not recommend purchasing PrepaidnGift Balance cards. It's simply not worth the risk of losing money or having to go through a lengthy and shady process to get it back. Stick to traditional gift cards or another reliable option.
PrepaidnGift Balance Review: Terrible Customer Service and Mismanaged Accounts Result in Lost Money
!
I recently had a very disappointing experience with PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) that left me quite frustrated. As a gift for my friend's birthday, I purchased a $100 prepaid gift card from Walmart. Unfortunately, my friend wasn't able to use the gift card because the balance showed zero. When I went to check the balance online, I discovered that the owner of the card was listed as "Jennifer," someone neither I nor my friend knew.
I immediately contacted the prepaid card customer service, but getting through to someone wasn't easy. After several attempts, I finally managed to speak to a representative who requested that I fax over my ID and the original receipt twice. Despite multiple follow-up calls explaining what happened, I continued to have trouble getting a response from them.
Months later, I realized that my attempts were futile and that retrieving my lost money was not going to happen. Although it was frustrating to lose $100, what left me truly furious was the lack of support and useless customer service. I'm appalled that they continued to insist I wasn't the owner of the card and blatantly ignored all the evidence to the contrary.
In conclusion, my experience with PrepaidnGift Balance has been extremely disappointing, and I do not recommend anyone buy their prepaid gift cards. I believe every customer should be treated with respect and dignity, and it's clear that this company has failed to provide basic customer service. Hopefully, this review will help others avoid the same mistake.
Beware of PrepaidGiftBalance: A Sketchy Website for Your Gift Card Purchases
Recently I purchased a gift card for my daughter from Kroger, hoping to give her the freedom to shop for herself. Initially, I believed that it was a VISA gift card; however, it came to light that it was an off-brand. The card uses the VISA infrastructure for transactions, which became confusing for my daughter when it didn't work when she tried to use it.
I then navigated to the PrepaidGiftBalance website, which was written on the back of the card. Upon visiting the website, I was disappointed to see it as a very sketchy website. It was incredibly difficult to navigate, and when I checked the activity page, I found that some unauthorized charges were made to the card. Further investigation led me to the discovery that it had happened on the other side of the country at a dollar store. I found this quite troubling since we had not authorized these charges. Plus, neither have we visited California, making it impossible for any family member to make a purchase there.
The only course of action to dispute the charges was to call the 888 number display on the website. I had to wait for over an hour to speak with a person who was on the other end of the line. Despite the long waiting time, the person who handled my query was polite and patient. However, to report the fraudulent charges, I had to answer many questions. Initially, I wasn't sure about providing this sketchy company with any personal identification documents. After going through the whole process, I discovered that I'd have to send back the documents along with a copy of my identification. The investigation about the charges would begin after that. I had no idea how long that would take or even if they will take any action about it.
This whole ordeal was rather confusing and frustrating. If the charges were deemed to be fraudulent, which I hope they will, I would then need to go through a lengthy and convoluted process to get a refund. I realized then and there that I had learned an expensive lesson- When buying a gift card, always make sure it comes from a reputable company. Unfortunately, PrepaidnGift Balance(prepaidgiftbalance.com) proved not to be trustworthy.
Prepaidgiftbalance.com is a Terrible Scam - Do Not Waste Your Money or Time!
I recently purchased a $50 Visa gift card from my local grocery store and decided to register it online at prepaidgiftbalance.com. Unfortunately, I have been unable to make any online purchases despite having a balance of $50 on the card. This has been a frustrating experience, to say the least. It seems that the prepaidgiftbalance website is not very user-friendly and has not provided me with any useful information for fixing this issue. The customer service is also lacking, as I have been unable to get through to a real person using the phone number on the back of the card. There are just automated messages informing me that there are long wait times. I'm baffled that a reputed company has such bad customer service.
To make matters worse, I can't even log in to my account anymore. When I tried to contact the customer service again, I think they locked me out of the website, and stole my money. Every time I try to sign in, the website just refreshes back to the home screen. This is outrageous! Prepaidgiftbalance.com is nothing but a criminal enterprise that engages in fraud.
Overall, my experience with PrepaidnGift Balance has been terrible, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My advice to all those who are considering using this website is not to waste your money and go for some other website that cares about their customers.
PrepaidnGift Balance Review: Unethical and Disappointing - Avoid at All Costs!
The experience with PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) was highly disappointing as the company turned out to be unethical in their dealings. The entire process of purchasing and using their cards was a nightmare. As a customer, I bought their worthless cards from Fry's Grocery Store, which were supposed to be activated using an authorization code. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, and it turned out to be a complete scam.
What was most frustrating was the fact that PrepaidnGift Balance people used my money to load their own personal cards. This left me with a valueless card and a worthless authorization code. When I contacted PrepaidnGift Balance for assistance, the customer service was terrible. I was put on hold for long periods, and when I finally got through, I was given a difficult time.
Their customer support asked me to fax copies of the card and other documents like my driver's license. The process was extremely tedious, and they demanded that I enlarge the card to 150% and even increase the ink level. However, even after complying with these demands, they claimed they did not receive the fax. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience since my confirmation of the fax was not taken into consideration.
Fry's Grocery Store also proved to be unreliable as they had no responsibility once the authorization code was issued. They claimed that their responsibility was complete and asked me to contact PrepaidnGift Balance. Even when I went back to the store with the card and receipt, the manager gave me a rude response and refused to facilitate any form of refund.
The PrepaidnGift Balance scam cost me $300, and I have learned a hard lesson. I urge everyone to avoid purchasing these cards to avoid the disappointment and loss of funds. Despite all the proof I have, it seems that no one is willing to help make things right. It's a terrible experience that I would not wish on anyone.
Beware of PrepaidnGift Balance: Restrictions Not Clearly Explained
I recently had a frustrating experience with PrepaidnGift Balance (prepaidgiftbalance.com) that I felt compelled to warn others about. After attempting to use my card on a gaming website for two days, I received multiple "locked" transactions and couldn't figure out why. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the card couldn't be used on gaming or gambling websites, which was not listed in the terms and agreements either inside the package or on the website.
It's understandable that most people do not read through the terms and agreements before making a purchase. It's also worth noting that the restrictions on where the card can be used were not clearly communicated during the purchase process. Unfortunately, this left me in a situation where I had a $50 balance on a card that I could not use as intended.
What's particularly frustrating is that PrepaidnGift Balance operates similarly to carrying a $50 bill—there is no additional credit or line of credit. I needed to use 16 digits of a credit card to make my purchase, and yet the card itself is not reloadable.
I spoke with three different customer service representatives, each providing a different solution or piece of information. While it was frustrating to not receive consistent information, I'm grateful that I was not on hold for long periods of time.
In the end, I was left with a balance on a card that I could not use as intended, and I needed to purchase another card for my son to play his game online. If you're considering purchasing a prepaid gift card this holiday season, I would caution against choosing PrepaidnGift Balance. Be sure to read the terms and conditions carefully and consider looking for a more reliable option. I was also given a PO Box to escalate my complaint, which I plan to do.
