My daughter started in July of 2023, but due to her summer swimming camp which was everyday, plus tae Kwon do, and piano lessons, she didn’t get enough time to always finish her homework from kumon. Honestly it was way too much homework for a 5 year old who hasn’t even started school yet. So she went the whole month of July, in august I went to the office in Gainesville Virginia, and told them that my daughter is not happy, it’s a lot of work, I don’t think she wants to continue. But Pooja was out of the country, so they emailed her! I waited for her reply back, no email back to me, she only communicated with her front receptionist. By the 16th of august, we decided that we don’t want to continue, I sent her an email clearly stating and explaining the reason why we Don’t or can’t continue. She emailed me back saying hang in there, she will get used to it. I explained to her that she will be going to school everyday, she has swimming on Monday and Wednesday, Tae kwon do on Tuesday and Thursday, and soccer Friday and Saturday. She has no time left to come to kumon in class and do homework. She said ok. We will cancel it. Not once she mentioned that since we have already paid in advance Riyanna must come in September. I emailed her back asking for our refund for the month that we have already paid in advance. She said you needed to read the terms and condition, that it is not refundable or transferable. She said I needed to tell her 30 days in advance, how could I have told her on July 1(first day we joined) , and we don’t want to continue in September, in order for her not yo charge me in august. I requested her to make an exception, but she refused.
