La-Z-Boy recliner

I purchased 2 lazyboy recliner rockers 10 months ago. Within 3 months my chairs were falling aprart To the point where you could not even sit in them!

It took you 3 months to address my issues with both chairs falling apart.

I offered to replace the existing chairs with a credit to upgrade to better chairs.

I was told that there is a life time warranty on the wood products and metals involved. I had no alternative!

This was not a viable answer. I was told that the chairs would be repaired with the same hardware. [censored]!

Why would I want to replace the light gage metal knowing I would only have to have it replaced again in less than three months.

Lazyboy you have not heard the last of me.

Be very warry of Lazy boy warranties.

La-Z-Boy Leather sectional

Back in Aug of 2021, we ordered a leather sectional from the East Colonial store in Orlando Fl. Our sales guy, James Dawson helped us. He told us we were looking at mid Dec, maybe Christmas for delivery. We were told we should get it sooner bc we didn't order any electronic recliners... December came and went and no phone call, no update, I called... I was told we were looking at mid February.. I called in February and was told March 7th by the store manager, Jen Davis... the leather is imported from Argentina and that was the delay.. ? Well, March 2nd, I call the store AGAIN bc I have heard nothing. Now am being told mid April! They have parts of the furniture but not all pieces! I honestly just want our deposit back. They keep refusing bc this is a custom order! All they do is lie and give excuses..very upsetting.

Desired outcome: Would like 100% refund.

La-Z-Boy Recliner Rocker

I filed a complaint on 2/22 but have not heard back on it. I can't find where I would add to the complaint I have filed, so I'm filing a new one.

On Jan 10, I made my first of many phone calls to La-Z-Boy in Anchorage AK.

I have a Recliner/Rocker that broke. I purchased it 18 months ago. I would think a recliner would last longer than that.

After many frustrating phone calls, they finally picked up my chair on 2/23. It took 44 days just to get them to pick up the chair!

I have all my phone calls documented and can list them out for you if you need me to. Dates, Times, who I spoke to or who I left a message with...

I no longer want to work with these people and want a full refund of my purchase.

You need to do the right thing and refund my money. I no longer want the chair.

Desired outcome: Please reply to my complaint.Please refund me $889.97 for the purchase of the recliner chair.La-Z-Boy has my chair for repair. They can keep it and give me a refund.

La-Z-Boy Restocking fee

I ordered 7 pieces a living room in September. I was originally told that the sofa would probably be ready in December. It is now late February and I still do not have any of the furniture. I had decided that I wanted a different fabric on the love seat, so I called to see if it could be changed. I was told that the chair would not be ready until July so the chair and the loveseat would be delivered in July. I have waited for this furniture for a long time.

I got a call back and was told that if I changed the fabric on the love seat that I would have to pay a restocking fee on a loveseat that has not even been built. I think that this is absolutely ridiculous. Isn't the point of a restocking fee to return an existing product to inventory.

I have bought plenty of furniture from Lazy Boy in the past. I do not think this is a very nice way to treat your customers. I realize that the slowness if not good for either the company or your customers, but why should I pay for restocking of a product that does not exist.

La-Z-Boy Two recliners — important and time dependent

Even though this recliner seat it rated for for a big & tall man 300+ (Ex-football player), in less the than a month the seat cushion has caved into a laundry basket like formation with me sitting drooped down into the center. Also the wood slates of the frame are biting into my hip. Both chairs are too low to the floor to get out of the seat comfortably. The second chair is otherwise so far fine other than it too is possible to get out of. The chairs came with one set of legs, wrong color and no one to put them. The shippers just left them behind in a box. I'm redoing my home. Where La-Z-Boy furniture is concerned, I have been always beenvery happy before, A couch is being custom built (from Newington CT store) right this very moment. The good chair I fear will have the same fate as it's twin. I've had L-Boys past purchases in other years, not months. I can't help but wonder if the poor worksmanship is do to a shortage of workers during the pandemic (COVID). Please refund and pick up so I may reorder an older sturdier chair. — Dr. Smith

La-Z-Boy Coating peeling off leather

I purchased a leather La-Z-Boy Astor recliner on 5/3/21, but it wasn't ready to be picked up until 6/26/21. Within 3 months it looked like the chair was starting to wear on the arms and seat. Within 5 months it had gotten much worse and there was what appears to be a thin coating peeling off in the same areas, so on 11/30/21 I customer service and reported the problem. They finally sent a tech out to inspect the chair on 12/30/21. He took some photos and said he had never seen anything like that, so he was sure it would be covered under warranty. When the coating is completely gone, the leather beneath appears to be perfect as you can see in a couple of the photos.

After numerous calls and emails the local service center manager told me that corporate had rejected the warranty claim, stating that "the chair had been in the sun too long". I live in Oregon, the chair sits in the middle of the room where direct sunshine cannot ever reach it, and I another La-Z-Boy recliner that we purchased a few weeks after the first time that sits right beside it that is not having the problem. I also have leather furniture purchased at Costco 20+ years ago that looks better than the 6-month-old La-Z-Boy. To her credit the service center manager says she agrees with me and will try to get corporate to review the warranty claim again, but I have to say I have never been so disappointed in a furniture purchase, or the service received from La-Z-Boy.

I emailed La-Z-Boy Corporate and received a canned response telling me to contact my local service center. Not helpful at all!

I will never purchase another product from that company and will share my experience and photos of the chair with everyone I can to keep them from making a terrible mistake. I even bought the extended warranty for $100. What a joke!

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund as I have lost all faith in La-Z-Boy, but I would accept a replacement chair, although preferably the Randall model rather than the Aster. The Randall does not seem to have that problem.

La-Z-Boy Repair to a lazy boy rocker recliner

I called this number [protected] What a joke this place is run by [censored]s!

I called this number 2 days in a row could never get through.I finally got through the 3rd day to pay for service repair asked for receipt on e-mail still waiting the guy that took the info was an [censored]. The lazy boy is a piece of scrap it has plastic components that shattered into a million pieces What kind of junk is made lazy boy they should be ashamed to sell a product at all!

La-Z-Boy Lay-Z-Boy 1HR 852 Power Recliner

There is no customer service at Lay-Z-Boy. i have been trying for 4 months to get service on my chair after the foot lifter ceased working.

I have made multiple phone calls to the store, the repair facilities and the world headquarters. It took 2 months for someone to come out and access the repair. He ordered the necessary parts, and told me someone would call to arrange installation. The only call I received was to schedule the first installation appointment.

However, the technician never showed up to do the work. Called again to schedule and was told I had an appointment scheduled for today. Surprise! No one called to tell me. Of course no one showed up, so I called again. Told I had no appointment. "Technician will call you" Well, no call.

Desired outcome: A repaired chair and a "customer service department" that actually does customer service.

La-Z-Boy Service contract and product itself.

We bought two of their chairs about a year ago and one of them has already broke down. It's a design flaw and every time you move the chair footrest up and down, the wire is being rubbed and frayed. The second time it started doing it, it almost caught fire. We bought a service contract for the next 5 years and they will not honor it. The salesman Scott told me they would repair it for any reason any time. I was lied to. Now Lazy boy is telling me they only replace each part one time. I never would have bought the contract if I knew that. I tried to talk to the president of the company but Ashley won't give out her number.

La-Z-Boy Requesting refund

We purchased a MILLER BRONZE LIFT RECLINER
LAZB - [protected]
on June 10, 2021. The purchaser was recently recovering from two hospital admissions and still, by the time we received the chair, on Sept. 22, 2021, he was receiving physical therapy, following his left fractured hip on Sept. 8, 2021. He was required to keep his lower extremities slightly elevated, and he was having difficulty with balance. This chair assisted with his lift!
WE DIDN'T RECEIVE THE CHAIR UNTIL SEPT.22, 2021!
He barely had 50 days sitting in the chair until the remote control stopped working and left the chair fully extended, while he was in the chair!
This occurred on DEC.8, 2021!
This was dangerous, as he had no assistance at that time! It was amazing he wasn't injured!
Service was notified and appt.'s were offered 3 months in advance!
After speaking to 'multiple" persons! a service man arrived here on
JANUARY, 7, 2022!
We were told that he "did not have the part in his car/truck", but he would put a SPEED ON THE DELIVERY! THAT WAS 7 DAYS AGO!
REQUESTING A FULL REFUND.

La-Z-Boy Damaged recliner, non-honored warranty and poor customer service

I would like to bring to your attention a situation that we are currently in and have been experiencing with our La-Z-Boy recliner since July 2021. We have been trying to have the recliner fixed since July 2021 and, after 4 service repair visits, are now left with a completely broken recliner.

We purchased the Jay Power Recliner with power headrest with a 5-year protection plan back in 2019 and paid $2, 060.08 for the purchase plus delivery. This expensive recliner was purchased not just out of comfort but of medical necessity. Up until July 2021, we were very happy with the purchase and pleased with La-Z-Boy and its products. That, unfortunately, has all changed.

Our initial call for service was placed on July 12, 2021. Since then, we have had 4 furniture repair technicians out to look at the recliner and the initial issue of the footrest not extending properly remains unresolved and we now have a broken recliner that cannot be used. The wooden frame was damaged by the "dedicated furniture repair technician" to the point where no one can even sit in the recliner. Ironic because the technician claimed to be one of the best and would be able to fix the issue when instead broke the chair and just made matters worse.

I've been in contact with ServeCo and after numerous conversations and review of the service report, submitted by the SAW Enterprise repair technician, we have been granted replacement of the purchased recliner. We wanted the same exact recliner but unfortunately, due to today's environment and its effects on products and services, it would be approximately 6 to 8 months at least before delivery. For this reason and due to medical necessity, we settled on a comparable recliner to fit our needs. This recliner was purchased on December 15, 2021. Upon checking status of delivery on Saturday, January 8, 2022, we were told it would be approximately another 1 - 2 weeks and we would receive a call or text upon its delivery to the warehouse. In the meantime, once again, we wait.

As we wait, it would be one thing if we had a recliner that we could actually sit on. The frame was broken to the extent of needing repair just to stabilize it and prevent possible injury. In purchasing the recliner replacement and explaining our recliners condition, we were told that the wooden frame fell under the La-Z-Boy lifetime warranty and we should contact Comfort Care for assistance. If anything, the frame would be repaired and we would at least have a chair to sit in while we waited for delivery of the replacement. After a few calls to Comfort Care, we were informed that the recliner replacement voided the lifetime frame warranty. The wooden frame could be repaired but it would be at our expense and non-refundable. It would cost us approximately $225.00 to have the frame repaired/replaced. Let me remind you that the frame was broken by the SAW Enterprise repair technician. We shouldn't have to pay anything for this repair when it wasn't our fault and there's a lifetime warranty on the frame. This is ridiculous! Why would we pay for a new frame, as a temporary fix, when the recliner will be taken from us upon replacement? What kind of customer service is this? We didn't break the recliner/frame and we have to pay more money to just be able to sit in this chair! We weren't offered any other options and there was no sympathy for our situation. As a matter of fact, the last person I spoke to at Comfort Care from the Support Team was, in my opinion, rude and provided poor customer service.

At this point, we have nothing good to say about La-Z-Boy and Comfort Care. We thought it was a reputable company that stood behind their well- made products. Now, given our recent experience, we know otherwise and have nothing good to report. We will be sure to share our story with everyone. Yes, the recliner is being replaced but we literally have no chair to sit in. We have done nothing wrong. We are being punished and penalized as a result of neglect on the company's part. We should not have to pay for repair, replacement or anything. La-Z-Boy needs to fulfill its warranty and live up to its reputation.

Desired outcome: We want a recliner to sit in while we wait delivery of the replacement. Our recliner has been in need of repair since July of 2021 and we have not been able to sit in it since November of 2021.

As so many others are reporting, a long delay in delivery. The sofa we ordered in March 2021 was supposed to be delivered in October. We're still waiting. The salesman says it's waiting to be shipped. That was the status a month ago. It was a special order so they want 50% to restock if we cancel. Who knows when we'll get the recliner. Going on 10 months and I'm about to contact my lawyer.

La-Z-Boy Delayed order while you continue to have sales

Lazy Boy is showing an extreme lack of ethics. First, we are aware that there are some notable supply chain issues - but this does not explain why Lazy Boy is acting as they are.

Situation: We ordered 2 chairs from Lazy Boy in first week of May 2021 and are now being told that at the earliest we will see them in March -- 10 months and counting. And they have had $2, 500 in deposit money from us during this time.

We could almost accept this long delay but while this production delay keeps being extended - the company is actively marketing sales and promotions trying to obtain more sales. And, from what we see when going into a local store, they have no problem in filling the showroom.

This seems like false advertising and bait-and-switch and, as stated before, this is either a major ethics problem within Lazy Boy or the firm is really disorganized wit the sales and marketing folks not being in communication with production.

La-Z-Boy Recliner

I bought a Lazy Boy recliner from Turner Furniture in Thomasville, Ga. In March 2018. I have always bought Lazy Boy. I am a 74 year old disabled veteran in a wheelchair, live alone, and depend on the comfort of my Lazy Boy, which is the only piece of furniture I could get in that gave me pain relief, except for my bed. I have had problems with my Lazy Boy for the last two years, and the chair has flipped over backward twice with me in it. I have no one to help me, and I cannot use the chair and am going to have to stay in the bed over the holidays until I can get Turner Furniture to send a technician out to look at chair. I have made the adjustments that can be made to the recliner, but still will flip over backward or I cannot get out of it. Something wrong with springs or frame underneath. I need some help with getting my recliner fixed asap, so I can some relief from my ailments and want have to spend the holidays in bed. Arthur Priest cell [protected]
