Easy to use!
I live in an apartment & we are equipped with the system. I find it vary convenient and easy to use. I load the money on my phone & don’t have to worry about getting change. Then the app tells me if the laundry room is crowded and how long until it’s available. Also the app tells me how long & when my laundry is done so I don’t have to walk downstairs or keep my eye on the clock. I have had zero issues & zero complaints. Now if the app could just do my folding we’d be golden.
Easy to use!
The app is convenient & easy to use. I like being able to fill my account balance quickly with my linked checking. It’s nice not having to carry a laundry card anymore to pay for each laundry transaction. Sometimes I find the wash status notification to go off a few minutes early but it works. I keep track of the time myself so it’s not an issue for me. But It’s a nice tool for those users that don’t keep track of when a load is done & leave laundry in machines for hours. So far I’ve had no issues with the app!
Does the job well. Some perks. No complaints
We’ve had this on our building’s machines for several months now. They’re easier and more reliable than another company at another building, where you had to use pay cards. The device that refilled the card often failed on weekends due to connection issues or something. I can’t speak for other tenants, but I have no complaints about LaundryConnect. I like the alerts when cycles are done and real-time status checks on all the machines. Helps to avoid crowding in the laundry room in these times when spacing matters.
Easy and convenient!
I’m enjoying using the app rather than the card. I haven’t had any problems with it. I would suggest two things in the next version:
1) place the Cycle Status on the home page or an easier accessible place. It’s inconvenient to have to click through to see the status.
2) when starting a dryer, do not automatically prompt me to add 5 minutes. I won’t know until the end of the cycle if I need this and I have accidentally added time trying to close the prompt.
So far, it’s a nice app that does what it’s supposed to do!
A sleep-deprived snail runs faster than this app
Imagine finally working up the energy to do your laundry. You haul your laundry to the machine. You load up your stuff. You’re proud of yourself - you’ve made it this far. You scan the machine’s QR code. THE APP MAKES YOU WAIT WHAT FEELS LIKE 20 MIN... PER MACHINE!
This app may have benefits, but they are all heavily outweighed by the extreme, remarkable slowness of every button. Adds at least 10 min to each of my laundry experiences. 10 min x 50 times per year = 500 minutes or over 8 hours per year waster. Thanks, laundry app!
Very Inconvenient for Couples
This app has worked pretty well for me so far... haven't had any major issues yet. The only time I had an issue with a machine not connecting, I simply unplugged and replugged the machine back in and the problem was fixed. A huge inconvenience I've run into is that you can only be logged into an account on one device. My wife and I would like to share the same account but can't be logged in at the same time... VERY INCONVENIENT! Will you please add a feature where my wife and I can use the same account on both of our phones? Only I can do laundry at the moment.
App misleads and scams- STUDENTS AVOID AT ALL COSTS
App is barely functional and manages to find a way to pinch every possible penny. Adds five cent fee to every usage so adding $10 only allows for 4 cycles before reloading, where it used to be 5. Minimum refill amounts means that low income users (ie students, one of the main targets of this app) have to pay for multiple loads of laundry instead of just one at a time like with a card or coin system. After paying for dryer, app brings up an “option” to add 0 minutes of dry time for $0.25. If you don’t hit ok and pay extra for no additional time, machine will not start.
App great, customer service needs improvement
The app is great, works well and simplifies doing laundry but the customer service teams on the back end need improvement. I’ve requested 4 times now, either through the app or by calling the number on the machines, that our washer and dryer be cleaned per the agreements and have been met with attitude and empty promises that a manger will call me back.
I would like for our washing machine and dryers to be deep cleaned. I’m told that our contract allows for one cleaning a year but the last time it’s on record as being cleaned in March - please send someone out asap!
Very slow and time consuming. Disconnects all the time
This app is very slow. Asks me to login evrytime using password which is pain, it should have touch ID login as we are in 21st century. Very slow responsive interface while increasing dryer time on machine. Log me out after evry $ 0.25 time increase function. It should have a slider or a numeric entry box to enter the number of minutes user want to use dryer. I am myself a app developer. And living in this apartment in malden doesn't give me much option than using this app and wasting my time in laundry room. This is my frustration of using this app since last year. I would use coins instead.
Worst app in 2019
-The registration step is not even the first page
-The payment method is CC only
-The fields for card holder names by default create a space after entering the names, and it’s letter and number only, then you need to restart from the beginning
- It’s pain in the b to get connected to the machine, even though I’m sitting right next to the machine
- It requires to turn the Bluetooth on to get connected to the machine, even though there is a machine a number and a QR code ...
- It’s 2 dollars for only small load!

stop collecting quarters!
My condo recently got upgraded machines that support pay with app. I have been using the app ever since, and it generally works well. There are some big annoyances though. First is that I keep needing to log in. With a password. In 2018. Please add either a pin or Touch ID. There’s no reason I should have to constantly log in. Second, when using these machines with quarters, I can add a quarter for more time on both wash and dry. It is not possible to add time with the app. Lastly, it would be nice if the app could tell me when the machine is done (or at least some type a timer with notification).
Lovely
I am impressed. I was wondering if my new building will accept cards instead of coins as I hate dealing with constant quarters, love doing laundry twice per week easily. So when I saw this app being the only way to pay I was actually relieved. I just wonder what alternatives I would have in case I don’t have my phone with me for a b c reasons. Realistically I always do, but I’m wondering if a website is also available. Anyway app
Is great, very easy to use, just a tip in case you have two surnames like I do, don’t leave a gap while you add them, write them as one word or the system will show you an error.
didn’t refund me
I was getting the same error about 10 times when I tried to do laundry and the machine never started, so I ended up taking my laundry out of the machine and going to a laundromat. The app still registered the load as running and started counting down until when it was supposedly “finished”. I submitted a service request asking them to refund me and address the machine issue causing the error (“door lock”). They never responded. The machine since started working again. After maybe a week, I submitted a second service request just asking them to refund me (since that is the only way to contact them) and they still never responded.
Terrible service
Our condo uses laundry connect machines. Frequently, the app will double charge me into the negative and requests for a refund go nowhere. When I reported the washers to be broken, having taken 1.85 each and not run, the machines were fixed two days later, but I was never refunded. In fact, when I used my account again, I had $2.20. My wash cost $1.85. Somehow after that transaction, I was left with -1.44.
Something isn’t right and this company is stealing from people without options. I will be writing to the ComplaintsBoard.com reporting this. The company doesn’t seem to care and thinks it can get away with stealing from low income families. Disgusting.
This App Is An Absolute Game Changer
It’s 2019, and we should have appropriate technology to improve the way we live.
Living in and around the Boston MA area, coin and card laundry machines are ubiquitous. But why carry the burden of potentially losing a prepaid card, having a remaining balance that you can’t use when you move, or risk late-night visits to the bank only to cash-our quarter rolls?
Why not use an app that you can charge directly to your cc, provide an auto-full feature, AND notify users when their laundry’s finished!?
Much like the convenience of Lyft/Uber over the taxi cab industry, this app is a no-brainer and puts the competitors to shame.
We should have been using this years ago.
Evil app
I’m leaving this app 1 star only because I cannot leave 0 star. The refill amount is not flexible clearly because they want you to refill/ pay more money than you actually use.
This app’s developers are clearly the bad developers who are not capable of making functional or decent apps. The user interface is horrible, ugly, not user-friendly and very buggy.
I also heard from other people that this app also deduce your balance even if you are not doing laundry. I only did one load so far so cannot say anything about that. But I won’t be surprised based on how this paying system is designed.
It’s ok to run a business and earn money. But could you at least have some self-respect and make a decent product instead of rippling off other people’s money?
It’s ok
The washer I have was installed by my landlord. It can barely fit a large load. There’s a weird space towards the front of the washer that often “catches” smaller items like socks AND the detergent pods. This leaves a “murky mess” of a pod entangled with whatever gets caught in the small space. The dryer. The dryer can only properly dry HALF the clothes that were fit in the washer in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise you’d have to do minimum 70 mins of drying for a relatively “not large” load of clothes. This could’ve just been bad machine choices from my landlord but the 2 machines are the exact same size but the dryer can only take HALF the clothes of the washer. It’s strange. Pretty much I only use it for small loads or if I have time to do a 70+ min dry.
Completely unremarkable, in the best way
When this app prompted me to leave a review, I realized I have literally never thought about this app when I wasn’t using it. This app knows its purpose: paying for laundry machines. That’s it. That’s all the app attempts to do and, in my experience, it does so completely adequately.
In some places it is better to go above and beyond. I do not think laundry payment systems are one of those places. I honestly cannot think of any new features that I would add to the app. This app knows what it’s used for, and that is all it does.
The reason this review is 5 stars is because I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about the app. It’s minimal, sure, but that isn’t a bad thing. It accomplishes everything it sets out to do, even to the point of using push notifications to tell you when your laundry is done. It isn’t much, but it doesn’t need to be much; I couldn’t ask for a better app for laundry payment.
Easy Breezy
LaundryConnect Pay App has changed the way i see laundry as one of those daunting task big part you’ve not have the luxury to have own machines in your living space dreading the chore you force yourself reasonings #1 for me, always having a clean pair of undies Giggle .. And having this App really though it’s changed the timely in convince that come with the struggle like having to locate quarters ( which in its self is a more complicated situation with the lack of coin circulation in the nation even banks holding out on the Good Goods most times ! ) then finally after traveling and occasional being turned away or down no longer motivated from your galavant around but again still need those clean undies :) Welp Times have changed for ME though with a swipe of a finger I’ve added my funds electronically and within secs YESSS seconds my wash is in full motion and a bonus no unsure how long it’s been or run out and check you’ve got time remaining on cycle and a notification that alerts you when it’s done !
Am a LaundryConnect App FAN and I’ll never not be in a situation with dirty undies !
Frankly appalling
When I found out that my school was raising the price of laundry from 1.50 to 1.75, I was not particularly upset; after all, that was a mere .50 difference per wash/dry combination. However, when I found that we could no longer use the funds from our student ID for laundry, instead having to use an app, I felt some trepidation, as I felt that the prior system worked quite well, and there was little reason to replace it. Nevertheless, I went into this year with an open mind on the subject of this laundry app, and looked forward to the innovations it could bring, such as timing out your wash and dry cycles. Then I used the app.
This app is atrocious in almost every conceivable way. To fund your laundry, you must first attach a credit card to the app, as per normal, yet even this is no small feat. After the app rejected my credit card information a few times I began to become quite frustrated, as I was putting in the information as it was on my card, yet it was refusing on the grounds of my name being incorrect, despite it demonstrably being the name on my card. Finally, after some guesswork on what LaundryConnectPay wanted my name to be, I was able to connect my card to the app.
Now, in the past at my university, you could add from your credit card completely customizable amounts of money to your student ID swipe card, so I would often do so in denominations that would be zeroed out within a few laundry cycles, as there was no hassle in re adding funds to the student ID. On LaundryConnectPay, however, one can only choose in intervals of $10 at a time, meaning that with the 3.50 cost of a laundry cycle a person would have to spend $70 to zero out to app balance. This shows a clear lack of respect towards to users, and demonstrates the willingness of this company to nickel and dime their customers (who, by the way, must use the app) down to their bottom dollar. This is to say nothing of the heavy soil setting, which bumps the cost of a laundry cycle up to 3.70, meaning that there is no clean zero point beneath $370.
Finally, come to find out, there is no utility to the app at all, except for taking your money with a smile and a middle finger! There is no laundry timer, no drier timer, nothing. This is an insult of an app, and I am disgusted that my school would partner with them. The only possible explanation for it that I can think of is that some administrator is receiving kickbacks from the company in exchange for foisting this app upon the population of the school. For an institution that prides itself on its commitment to ethics, this is an awfully scummy app company to be doing business with.
The only reasons I am giving this app 2 stars is that it lets you do laundry, however infuriating. That, and the fact that this app is so difficult to find on the App Store that any institution finding this trash fire of an app on their own is unlikely.
If I could pick any punishment for the creators of LaundryConnectPay, it would be the worst one imaginable: to have to use this app for the rest of their lives.

Re-register credit card
What’s going on with this “after Dec. 8” measures? Claiming that it is done for your customer convenience is simply not true. It’s impossible to refill an account, your website is no help at all because apparently my location ID is incorrect. overall, the whole “improvement” seems more like collecting people’s credit cards info.
Barely Functional
I would say 1 out of every 5 times I do laundry the app works correctly. The rest of the time it logs me out and doesn’t let me log back in (making it impossible for me to do laundry), or it makes me pay twice for a load. It also doesn’t allow you to add additional time.I really wish my building had not switched to this horrendous platform.
Pointless Concept
Hate needing to take my phone with me to do laundry now. Silly that you can only reload in multiples of $10. Annoying to have to disconnect my phone from my bluetooth devices every time I start a new load. I just feel that this technology was not needed and am frustrated that I was forced into it due to my apartment building adopting this laundry service.

Please fix the app, I have more dirty clothes than clean ones
Please update the app and fix the bugs in the app. Myself and serval other students I know are completely locked out of our accounts and are unable to use the app at all. Considering the app is the only way for us to do laundry on campus, it’s quiet inconvenient. Although my friend has only started to experience problems today, my app hasn’t worked in over 3 weeks.
Garbage app just like the company that runs it
Have had multiple issues with this company in the past. The only reason I continue to do business with them is because I’m not traveling into town to do laundry, that would just be absurd. This app does not work. I already have an account but I can’t log in because it wants to “find my laundry room” and no links on the page react to any touch of any kind. Absolute garbage.
App does not work!?!?!
I just moved into new building. To do laundry you have to download this app. I download it, and the 1st screen gives 3 options:
1- Scan code
2- Enter manually
3- *is w.e
And this 1st screen with 3 options freezes and doesn’t let you pick any option or do anything. I tried to uninstall reinstall I tried everything. It just doesn’t work… so no on-site laundry for me. ♂️
Doesn’t work
For whatever reason, it never is able to connect to the washer or dryer in my unit. I have an iPhone 14, software up to date, and have been on call with customer service multiple times. They always are nice but suggest the same things that don’t work. Incredibly frustrating that I can’t do laundry in my own apartment. totally garbage app. Please for the love of god bring back quarters!
subpar app, worse business model
the app works for the most part to get your laundry done and it notifies you when complete, which is nice. I would love to not HAVE to use an app to do a load of laundry but what can ya do. they make you register a credit card (which you can’t remove from your account after the fact) and add money ($10 minimum) to your account, instead of just charging you for what you use. no way to get that money back…
Dissatisfied
Let me say that for the most part this application will work accordingly, but when it doesn’t it’s terrible especially when your in desperate need to do laundry. I had a situation where I was on limited time and I needed to wash clothes this app would not allow me to refill my account with funds to do so I was pretty upset. Plus even when I wanted to contact customer care through the app I wasn’t allowed to do that either not good!
Warning! Privacy and data concerns
The newer version of this app requires bluetooth sharing to be enabled. Bluetooth sharing is basically a file transfer protocol…it is what airdrop uses, for example.
With this, the app now has public network access, payment authorization capability (refill your account from your bank) and bluetooth connectivity to an iOT device (washer and dryers) while the iOT device is connected to wifi.
I will be lodging a complaint with both Visa and Mastercard.

This app is trash
App does not work more than half the time, and when it does it is just a horrible set up. Can not reliably use app to do my laundry.

Horrible app!
This app doesn't even working! The scan Never ever find the machine in my condominium. I'm very disappointed. All the neighbors are frustrated with it.

Needs lots of improvement
Some of the machines don’t connect properly, people who don’t have phones can no longer do laundry, if you don’t download the app in the laundry room the room code is incorrect and you have to re-download the app. It’s just a pain in the but to use and the card was easier.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Inconvenient
I strongly believe that when it comes to some things in life, making an app for, or attempting to automate a process truly becomes inconvenient. This is the PERFECT example. App has many many problems, and the last update after all of these complaints was 7 months ago! Either under-staffed, terrible management, no funding, or all of the above! Good luck!
