My Ledger Experience
I’ve been using the Ledger Nano now for about a year. The app is super easy to use very user friendly. I haven’t had any issues with it at all. My balance is always correct and the price it shows each asset is accurate. I haven’t stored any NFTs yet but will so give it a shot as I just invested in a project bound for the moon. I store anything crypto wise worth real money or utility and it’s always been safe and ready to transfer at a moment’s notice for trading within seconds. I give this company a 100/100 score. Thank you so very much for helping keep the blockchain that much more safe and secure.

Do NOT buy their nano wallet - lost crypto
I have a ledger software wallet paired with a nano hardware wallet, with one recovery phrase for a couple of years
First nano failed early last year, finally received a second, used same recovery phrase to load my accounts and balances
It allowed receipts - for months from an exchange - into my existing accounts
Then when recently I need to send, cannot send. Error on ledger live windows app. Cannot send from ledger mobile app by design
There is nothing ledger can do about it
The crypto balance in the wallet is orphaned / lost
It took 6 weeks to find this out after opening a ticket
Neither of the 3 reasons ledger gave for this situation were applicable in my case. I should have just used a phone based wallet.
Was a decent app until the update
The latest update completely ruined the user interface. Quite frankly I wish I could undo the update. Why can’t I see the chart of how much Bitcoin I own in dollars? All I can see is the chart for the price of Bitcoin and the chart for how many sats or btc I own. Also the first page should just show me the assets I own with the chart like before. Instead they took away the chart and now they’re showing all these other coins I don’t own on the first page. I don’t care about the price of all these scams, just show me Bitcoin, that’s all I own, that’s all I need to see, especially when I first open the app. Instead when I first open the app i’m now bombarded with a bunch of stuff I don’t own or care about, and I have to click through stuff to see my Bitcoin.
True Potential
This application has the potential to be the best. I know the team over at Ledger is constantly working at refining their product. I have no complaints but I must say the application would have garnered 5 stars if it were as intuitive as its desktop counterpart. For instance a mix between the Blockfolio and Binance.US ios and Android apps would not only put this interface ledger has created over the top but it would win the hearts of many many more cryptocurrency driven investors. From beginners to experienced. Please please please make good on these suggestions. Also a dark mode would be great and remember my biggest suggestion is the real time data charts on the app itself. Otherwise this company gets 5 STARS from me. Thank you to the wonderful Team at Ledger!
