LegalZoom.com review: Registered agent service

I started an LLC through Legal Zoom in 2022, and decided shortly after that starting a business wasn't the right path for me at the time. I dissolved my LLC through Legal Zoom, and verbally requested to cancel ALL services and subscriptions. A year later, last week, I received an auto-payment of $249 for Registered Agent services. After calling Legal Zoom to request a refund and explanation, only then did they complete the cancellation of my Registered Agent services, despite requesting to cancel everything a year ago. When I asked for a full refund, they said they could only refund me 30%. I refused this and requested to speak to a supervisor. The agent said that the supervisor was not available and that they would call me back within 30 minutes to an hour. I never received a call back. Now it's Monday, and I've been sitting on hold for 45 minutes trying to speak with someone again. Decided to search online to see if this has happened to anyone else, and was inundated with reports of the exact same thing happening to thousands of others via Consumer Affairs and the Complaints Board. I'm overwhelmed at the vastness of this scheme. Its a disgusting predatory business practice and I will make every effort to discourage anyone from ever using Legal Zoom's services.
