Bought this 'frig at home dept and it's terrible. Had two service men out to resolve this really loud, regularly paced knocking noise from the back of the 'frig. I called lg and they said, it's just the ice cubes filling - - ridiculous. I know what that sound is and it's completely different. I can't seem to get this repaired. It wakes us up in the middle of the night. It's like a very loud metronome, and disruptive and obnoxious. There doesn't seem to be any recourse. The lg company won't acknowledge the problem and yet there is a ton of internet activity from people with identical complaints. Never buy another lg appliance!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
i have complained regarding my LG refrigerator 10 days back. i bought it on 28 /08/2009. within a week after installation, it became faulty. after repeated complaints, nobody bothered to turn up and solve the problem. if this the service you are providing, i have to think twice before buying any LG product hereafter.

LG Refrigerator with bottom freezer. We bought this the first year that they came out. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned. The first year we owned our LG Refrigerator the handles on the freezer showed signs of cracking and now are cracked all the way through. We literally have to use a spatula to remove (chip) the ice that accumulates on the bottom of the freezer under the freezer drawer. I will go so far as to say that I will never own another LG PRODUCT, that includes phones.
Exactly the same problem with out LG Refrigerator. Not sure what your model # and year are though?
LG refrigerator bougt in june 2010 has had a faulty door since it was delivered. complaints registered with LG service centre more than 6 times till date. complaint responded to about 4 times, temporararily fixed. was advised by the the service engineer 4th time that next time the problem occurs, the part will be replaced free of cost or we will be given a new replacement. Have not had a response since the last time the complaint was registered on 24/3/2011 . complaint number-RNA [protected].

LG, Life is Good, does not apply to LG Refrigerators. 39% greater rate of service calls than other major brands. Broke down after 1 year and LG wouldn't extend the warranty though it was 2 days expired. Complicated junk with multiple sensors and computers.

refrigerator out of order since 25days despite complain lodged with customer service for over 20 times, every time being assured that it will be serviced within 24 hours .ultimately we are fed up and thinking of changing it and making sure that we shall never buy any LG product and also discourage our known people intending to do so.SHAMEFUL for a company of such stature. 4 year young LG refrig compressor failed, shame on LG but the kicker is after almost 1 week we were told by LG that the comp is on BACKORDER and MAYBE be in by September 1 BUT NOT SURE...
Tells me that this model and others who use same compressor's were bad from the get go...who can go without refrig for that long? My mother who is 90 and still able to live on her own is going through this as we speak... $1900.00 + and only 4 years of use...Had to go out and buy her a small refrig just trying to get her by until and unknown time of repair...food lost and labor should be included in the fix but it won't happen... class action anyone?
