2 weeks prior to signing for our home in Brooksville, Florida, our realtor and us noticed a lot of things not completed or wrong in the brand new home. These were brought attention to Tim(salesman) and Richard (the main boss over that office). We were promised these issues would be resolved before closing. We did our final walk through and none of the issues were resolved. We were told they would be done in a few days. One of the issues was the yard. It was full of holes and sod not laid properly. I have already sprang an ankle and been in urgent care. The baseboards in garage are not placed right and insulation is coming out of attic due to this. We were told that was normal. No it is not. The garage floor is separating from the home. There is a crack in the bathtub that was small and is now huge. They sent someone to look at it 3 weeks ago and said he would get back with us. No word on that and the crack has spread and became larger. The shower in master bedroom smells of sewer due to them not installing a p trap. Not resolved. The countertop has a crack, not resolved. The floating floor in 75% of the home is shifting and creating dips in it and has not been resolved. The stucco was missing in chunks. That was patched up and someone was supposed to come next day to paint it. That was a month ago and still no painter. All of the inside doors were out on incorrectly. You can see straight through sides and top of doors. The AC tech has been here 3 times for same issue and the house is brand new. It took us over a month to get a new fridge and lost all our food while waiting. We had to eat out or order food and with inflation these days that was not easy nor cheap. All of the outlets are loose and paint is flaking off around them where they were never painted in a perfect line or covered up correctly with outlet. Some of the outlets are completely covered in paint. There is paint all over the house. It’s on the tub back and side splash. It’s behind the toilets. It’s on the floors all over the house. The baseboards appear to have been painted by a toddler. These have all been reported and nothing has been done. My dishwasher leaked so bad on Thanksgiving day and that was first time using it. I have so many texts saved where lies are told. I have proof I have turned all these work orders in. It’s not ok to do anyone like this but my husband is a retired 21 year serving disabled veteran! They can thank him for their freedom to hurt people as they have us. I have had to take anxiety medication to deal with the stress of being lied to or ignored. If Amazon, UPS, USPS, or Fed Ex has to make a delivery to my front door and falls in the huge holes we have, their employer will get them the care and come after me for the money and also that carrier could sue me. This is not a laughing matter and we were told on walk through how sorry they were for that and it would be corrected ASAP…almost a month later they sent someone out with this roller machine to try and flatten it and he only made it worse. They are now telling me there is nothing they can do. Yes you can. You out new sod down. You don’t do this to people! I wish I would have never bought from these people LGI will never have any of my friends or families business and every time we see someone looking at one, I will be sure to tell them all the issues we and others have faced, as I have read the complaints and it’s sickening. I am contacting you first to see if you can please help us out with getting all of these things repaired. Our next step is hiring an attorney, going to Governor, reaching out to local news stations and contacting our Senator. LGI will not mess us over.
Claimed loss: Groceries in the amount of 250.00 and cost of eating ordering in is well over 750.00!!!
Desired outcome: I want all of these issues resolved. I want our forever home to be in brand new condition as promised.
This sounds like our house. Same neighborhood (Royal Highlands) same Richard……same excuses. We should meet up and discuss. I am sure there are others lied to by LGI. We closed in April
