Has drag my family around since Feb. and we have a ripped out bath with mold, a husband on oxygen ,just since this mess started. Was told by Carmisha that she would look it all over and have take care of it today! But i now have a new adjuster and a possible wait of another 14 days. no way ,I have called corp. But no help .lies.for months. Today the contractor that found the mold and fell through the floor is working on it . ,Because we are seniors and he said your going to drag your feet until this mess kills one of us. He said not worry because he will file against you for the fall and the work if not paid by the time he is done, But i am going to call the state today if someone does not come trough with the payment. Unauthorized credit inquiry
After requesting my credit report May 2022, I noticed that Liberty Mutual made an illegal unauthorized hard inquiry request on my credit without my consent or knowledge on April 16, 2022. Not only did Liberty Mutual make an illegal request they neglected to submit a letter to notify me saying they made a hard inquiry on my credit. Liberty mural is acting out of conduct with state and federal guidelines and performing illegal fraudulent deceptive business practices against consumers identities without their knowledge or consent. I’m NOT NOR HAVE I EVER BEEN a customer/patron of Liberty Mutual in my entire life.
Desired outcome: Removed from all my credit reports/history detailed thorough investigation conducted and sent to me all parties involved held to height form of punishment
Level of professionalism from Estimator
The initial reason for calling Christine Bate was go get a timeline as to when it could be expected to hear a determination. Her answer was she has time to get to it. I asked for her supervisor, and she directed me to Mr. Scott
When Mr. Scott returned my call he was blunt and accusatory. He refused to listen and demonstrated no empathy. When I told him that I felt he was being unprofessional by continuing to interrupt me, he hung up on me.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology
Service claim # [protected]-01
On April 16th a claim was filed . A water line had burst ABOVE the water heater causing the basement to flood. Paul Davis was dispatched to assess. The assessment was made , and a conclusion drawn to remove belongings from the flooded area. This process took over 1 week before only 70% of the dammaged items were removed leaving 25% in the flooded area. Mold began to set into the basement. Mold growth sets within the first 48 hrs. The basement sat flooded for close to one week. We are being told that the remediation is not covered , and that the mold was pre existing which is not the case. Why are we not covered?
I have contacted a mold specialist to draw cultures, so that I can obtain a toxic report, and have contacted the EPA. Also now that Liberty has denied the clean up I have hired a private insurance estimator as well. If Liberty would have expidited the clean up, and not of waited for two weeks to do so, and would have done a professional job in removing 100% of the dammaged items, we would not have mold growth. Instead, Liberty took over a week to partially clear the basesment.
Desired outcome: Not to get attorneys involved. Not to make this a public scene, and for Liberty to rectify this issue.
Auto Insurance

Look at my claim and return my calls and able to e-mail them.
Their representative never returns your calls. You can't send an email because it is alway rejected. I am sure it is a very profitable company as it does not pay claims, never returns your calls and you can't email them.
I submitted a home owners claim and was told that only damage to the home was acceptable. I tired to submit proof of damage to the home with repairs and cost of the repairs. The representive would not call me back in spite of many many calls and messages. In addition, I sent e-mails to Liberty Mutual but they were rejected as invalid addresses.
Home owners and auto insurance
Water damage from bathroom sink while we were out of town. Neighbor checking on property discovered it. We immediately called Serve pro and liberty mutual. Water ran under all the hardwood floors. Liberty mutual denied claim because tit was surmised the water leak started more than 14 days prior to discovery. We told them we were away so that is the excuse used to deny. Had we not mentioned being away that reason could not exist. We are allowed to take vacations and business trips and still have coverage when not physically in the home.
This home is owned by myself (Terry Baumann) my husband (George) and my mother (Natalie Martelle). This is Natalie's primary residence. Natalie is almost 90 so spends time with family and at her home. We were all in Massachusetts when the damage happened. Natalie purchased the policy on her own in 2012 (I believe). We pay the mortgage. Now that we have seen the policy we are very suspicious of this company possibly taking advantage of a senior citizen, The policy is $3125 per year! This is not a big home. One level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, open dining, living room, eat in kitchen, one car garage. I now have POA so am looking over my mothers contracts and finances. This policy is extremely over priced and does not pay for water damage. We own other real estate and the policies are a quarter of this policy for similar size homes. Our commercial property is not this high.
When we received the denial we were shocked. I called asked how to appeal the denial and was told there is no way to appeal! This is such a fraudulent company, I cannot believe this well known company gets away with this theft.
What do you consider to be a fair resolution?: Liberty Mutual needs to pay for the water mitigation done by Serve Pro and the replacement floor. We have an estimate for replacement. The policy it self needs to be reviewed for fraud and elder financial abuse.
Desired outcome: denial repealed, all repairs paid by Liberty Mutual. Partial refund of both policies as both are overcharged.
Car Insurance Refund
On March 24, 2022, I contacted Liberty about a quote for homeowner's insurance. After to speaking with the agent, she transferred me over to a car insurance agent. The agent fast talked and asked about $98.16 immediately, she talked over me as I was asking questions about paying then, and I had not been approved for homeowner's coverage. She strong armed me, and I take responsibility for giving her my routing number to my account. I called back about a refund, because I did not follow through with the purchase of homeowner's insurance and requested that my money be put back in my account. To this date, I do not have my money. I am giving Liberty Mutual an opportunity to do the right thing, because I respect the company. My next move is to contact the news media, the insurance board, and my state representative. What the agent did was ethically wrong on so many levels, but I still have faith in Liberty Mutual.
Desired outcome: I would like my money back in my account as quickly as she took it out. I would the agent to have training in ethics.
Lack of just about anything
I have had several issues over the past year with Liberty Mutual's poor customer service. Most recently, I have been waiting on a reimbursement of $500, and my file stated closed online. I reached out via email and phone several times with no response. I finally called customer service, and they informed me the person working with me no longer works there with zero concern and I could not speak to a supervisor. I just don't understand the lack of concern for cases like this. Had I not called, would I just be waiting for the money, which I still don't have.
Desired outcome: refund of my money
Roadside Assistance
On March 1, 2022 I called Roadside Assistance to request a tow truck. If took over 4 HOURS for the truck to arrive. I live in Phoenix, not a rural area.
First trying to text or do an online chat to request a tow truck while standing next to a busy freeway is extremely difficult.
Second the tow truck's contact phone information did not work. The company was O&A Towing. I saw the truck twice. He was lost and he never called to ask for help in finding us. We tried to call but his voice mail was full and we could not leave a message.
Third after waiting for two hours I did an online chat. I was told that another tow company was being sent and that it would take at least an hour and a half. Then the online chat ended before I had time to ask why.
Fourth I called and finally spoke to a real person. She was very nice and tried to help but she could not get through to the towing company. She gave a contact number for the towing company.
Fifth after waiting an hour I tried to call the tow company only to find that there contact number did not work. I called Roadside Assistance and was told that they tow truck should have been there 10 minutes earlier. She could not get through to the tow truck driver.
At this point I gave up, I parked the car in a parking lot and my son took me home. At 9:15 p.m., four hours after I had requested the tow truck, the driver called and said he was with the car. I drove back to where the car was park and the driver was able to load the truck and take it to my home.
Your company should be able to provide better Roadside Assistance. To have to try and chat or text while standing next to a freeway is a total joke. Not being able to talk to the towing company is another joke. The towing company not calling to ask for directions is another joke. The driver that picked up the car said that he got his first call at 9:00 p.m., FOUR HOURS after I requested help. Then it only took him 15 minutes to drive to my car.
Again it took four hours, many text messages, phone calls and online chats to get the car home.
Desired outcome: Fix your Roadside Assistance program. Make it more user friendly. Let us talk to a human, not a text or chat. Find better towing companies that will talk to your customers and have a much quicker response time.

property insurance claim
I turned in a claim for wind damage to the insulation in my shop. We had 107 mph winds that got under the eaves and tore up the insulation around the whole perimeter of my 40'x60' metal building. Liberty Mutual denied the claim because they "determined" that the wind did not cause the damage and it was due to the design of the building. The 107 mph winds did cause the damage and Liberty Mutual has found an excuse not to pay. The date of loss was 12/15/2021 and today, 2/14/2022, I had to send an email to find out any information. Andrew Johns, Commercial Property Adjuster informed me that the claim had not been processed and he wasn't sure why there was such a delay. I am not happy at all with the customer service that I have received from Liberty Mutual. We pay our premium every year and get very bad service/coverage in return.
Desired outcome: Review the claim and pay for damages caused by the 107 mph winds.
Claims never processes
I made two claims with Liberty Mutual for damage caused by their clients repeatedly crashing into our fence.
Vivian Adams and Kimberly Brown were the "Claims Specialists" who have done nothing to process our claim even though we submitted police reports, photos, and videos as evidence which support the claims.
Kimberly Brown stated that she was passing the claim to another "Claim Specialist" and that we would hear from someone else "in a few days," but it has been 3 weeks and she has not responded.
Vivian Adams refuses to acknowledge the indisputable evidence and has gone so far as to say she cannot view the videos or photos, which is a blatant lie.
A photographer sent by Liberty Mutual witnessed and acknowledged the obvious damage in person.
The claims were made 3 months ago and we still have received no response from Liberty Mutual. Their customer service is nonexistent and unacceptable.
Desired outcome: We would like compensation for the repairs to correct the damage to our fence.
Cancel auto insurance refund
On December 20, 2021, I paid Liberty Mutual Insurance $235.32 per month. On January 06, 2022, I cancelled the auto insurance. there was 14 days remaining until 1/20/22. I was refunded $12.15. I am filing this complaint to get my full refund for the days I was not a customer. Policy number: AOV-[protected]. Please see attach file that show my payment. Thank you Leeroy Green
Desired outcome: To be refunded $109.76 vs the $12.15. I paid $235.32 per month for 12/20/21- 1/20/22 on 12/20/21. That is $7.84 per day for 30 days. I cancel on 1/6/22. Therefore I am due 109.76 for the remaining 14 days (from 1/6 - 1/20).

I am writing about your marketing. Do you know what percentage of the public is afraid of spiders? Between 20 and 70%. Do you know how often I change the channel as soon as your spider commercial comes on? 100%. In fact, now as soon as I hear the theme song come on I change the channel, so I see NO Liberty Mutual commercials. Just saying. . .

Brittney and Johnny delayed my claim from July 29, 2021. Until December 2021, intended to cause financial harm to me! If it takes SIX months to process a claim on a vehicle "Chevy, 2017, LT. Especially, since there's TWO class-Action involving this vehicle that GM has known about for years, and I was almost killed over the defective safety.

I am absolutely terrified of spiders and your Spiderman commercial with Doug getting bitten by a spider has me so terrified that I worry I'd have nightmares! PLEASE PULL IT! I'm not the only one with Arachnaphobia! Your ad could cause severe anxiety in many others and not just me. There has to be a better way to advertise for the Spiderman movie than this!

Car Insurance QUOTE had the police after me
We called to check on Liberty's price for car insurance. WE only got the price and never signed or agreed to anything. Our current insurance lower their rate so we stated with them. We have gotten several letters and calls from the State Police that we didn't have insurance for 2 weeks and they wanted proof that we didn't drive our cars during that time and we had to get certified letters and notified letters to the DMV or the police would come after me. After many calls to our current insurance and the DMV and our state representative. I think it has been resolve. How could they notified the DMV that we drove without any car insurance. Honorable company.
Canceled my homeowners policy even thouth it was paid 3 months ahead
I received my annual renewal notice for my home insurance and decided to change it to quarterly payments. I went to the website and changed my billing frequency to quarterly and then paid for the first quarter.
I started getting notices that I was past due and then received a letter from my mortgage company that I was not insured.
I contacted Libery Mutual and they said that I did not owe them any money and in fact my account was overpaid. He then went on to tell me that someone should have reviewed my account. There is an obnoxious recording that plays over and over while you are on hold, that states that you should go to the website to make your changes. I went to the website and made my changes but there is a disconnect. If you can't change your billing frequency on the website, then remove that feature.
I requested a refund and went with another insurance company. The reason for this complaint is that I am still trying to get my mortage company to recognize my new insurance policy. The failure of Liberty Mutual to get it right has caused me so much time, effort, and pain.
I had another issue is getting a proof of insurance when I purchased my home. The letter they sent me incorrectly stated that I had paid zero for my insurance so I was billed for it again at the closing. I called Liberty Mutual about the letter and they said it was a flaw in the template and they could not do anything about it. I should have found a new company then.
Trying to get to an agent is another nightmare. I am so tired of automated phone systems that dead end of you don't make the right choice. I had to keep pressing the zero on my phone to get to an agent.
There should be government regulations that allow consumers to get to the right department immediately and to a live agent if they choose. At best, let you return to the main menu if you made the wrong selection. If you select billing you get a recordng and not a live person. You have to hang up and call again and try another selection. Very poor design.
The bottom line is that this company has a flawed system and no one seems to be paying attention. I wish I had the money to sue them for all of the headache their carelessness has caused me.

TV advertisement
I am so offended with the new Spiderman TV commercial that is now airing. It's the Christmas season and you show a terrifying black spider on the man's arm and later the results of that bite. In no way is this an appropriate commercial to be airing on tv... it just terrifies children and all those who suffer from arachnofobia. I plead with you to remove this commercial. How can you feel that this encourages anyone to purchase insurance from your company?
