Would you PLEASE get rid of those stupid Emu commercials! You are on the verge of losing a lot of loyal viewers because of some ridiculously [censored]ic commercials with EVERY break between 7PM and 11PM. Time to spread them out or get rid of them entirely. To be honest, they're the last company from which I would purchase a product. You have a great deal of people who have had enough. Everyone at our office laughs at how stupid these are & many watch MASH, Raymond and Two and a Half Men. What's wrong, you can't find other advertisers. Well I can find other things to watch if you can't.
Auto insurance
Accident caused by a Liberty Mutual insured driver. DON DUNCAN the claims adjuster has gone MIA. I've called and left 4 messages. Emailed. He refuses to answer his phone or return messages. I'm going on a month without my car, because of his negligence.
I don't understand why a company that insures drivers, doesn't follow through when a claim is made? Extremely frustrating!
Short term disability
I submitted a claim for Short Term Disability. All required forms where completed and submitted by both myself, my employer and my doctors. Every two or three days, I would get something in the mail but it wasn't payment - only the same notice advising me my claim had been received or notice that Liberty Life Assurance was now some other company name.
When you are off work, with no income, all you want is to know you can continue to pay your bills. I called (for the 3rd time) to find out when I might be expecting payment only to learn payment was pending because of a discrepancy between myself and my employer. I reported last day of work as Jan. 31, and my employer reported Jan. 30. Really? That's why you're holding my money? Obviously, I misunderstood or got the dates wrong -- just go with the employer! It is now March 8, a 3-day notice and electricity interruption later. All because of a date discrepancy. This is rediculous! Please pay me.

The claim number as stated above refers to a auto accident involving 2 autos in a parking lot. Driver of Vehicle #1 (the other driver) collided into our car (Vehicle #2) causing damage to the rear driver side door and small portion of the rear quarter panel. Was not happy with Liberty Mutual's decision and tried to dispute claim. We were totally ignored and the case was closed. I'm left in the dark with no voice in the matter. Where is the customer service/support team. Been a Liberty Mutual customer for close to 50 years with very few minor claims. The claims department along with a non responsive Ms. J. Chasteen (Claims Manager position?)did a very poor job determining who was at fault and making the right decision. Their decision was truly based on HOW MUCH MONEY CAN WE SAVE. Do not believe the Liberty Mutual TV commercials, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, it's all about monies, GREED.
Auto insurance uim, delayed, lied, and denied payment illegally deny
After being in a serious auto accident, LIBERTY MUTUAL delayed, lied, and denied ALL payments. They denied MY Medical Bills, Denied liability payments after the other driver was guilty of improper lane change making the Other driver 100% liable for causing the accident. After 2 years in court the corrupt Judge and judicial system awarded summary judgement to Liberty mutual Insurance? That is illegal and corrupt. This accident left me with serious spinal injury resulting in major surgery, paralysis, and permanent nerve damage. THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY, Never use Liberty mutual insurance.
Auto insurance
Remember their claim? New car replacement if you're in an accident? If you don't have this then you picked the wrong policy, no they say, you picked the wrong insurance company.
This is a total lie and is in fact not the case with liberty. Liberty will replace your car with a newer model only if you select the right policy.
OK.. so not a big deal.. their rate was way below other insurance companies. That is for the first year. Then Liberty starts that rate creep. WATCH OUT. You are likely to miss this rate increase as they insist you pay using a credit card so they can slip in that increase and hope you don't notice.
I am insuring 2 cars with liberty. I am 63. Have impeccable record and no accidents in over 20 years. I can't remember my last insurance claim... MY FIRST YEAR for 2 cars was 1200. MY SECOND YEAR for those same 2 cars was 1500. THIS YEAR for those same 2 cars it is 1900.
I had to ask why my rate kept increasing while my cars got older. They actually had the nerve to tell me the age of your car does not matter in their calculation. It is the cost of all the other cars on the road today that they are worried about.. HUH? Oh, and also medical costs are increasing.

Failure provide information about reinstate about reinstated fees of home insurance instead of I'm getting $447 after closing of my house they said I will only get $13 instead because of re instatement which they failed to disclose fees by reinstatement.felt I was deceived, ripped off, II was expecting refund back the first time I talk to them prior reinstatement, but end up No refund at all.I should not decide to reinstate the home insurance if only I was informed about the fees which they failed to do so.It wasn't fair for me, they took advantage of my lack of knowledge about reinstatement policy and fees, Liberty Mutual insurance took advantage of consumers.not providing details and enough informations.
Complaint against my claim adjuster amy clark knighton
My claim adjuster made my life a living hell. I've had to go to the hospitalseveral times because of her devious tactics. I asked Me Knighting for help in hiring a roof contractor she told me it was my responsibility. I later found out this is a service liberty provides. In stead I phonedhome advisor. They sent men screaming for the down-payment some accused me of hiding money in the house I called me knighting she said she got the call from him and was removing him off the claim I didn't even know that man name After the ceiling started growing hair I told Ms knighting I was getting sick and needed plamentshe said prove it get smile test I told her I was asthmatic the smell got me sodizzy l fell hit my headireceived 40 stitched I am permanently scarred ireturnedback home fell out of the bed from the smell I was unconscious for nine hours the she called 6:30 on a Sunday to tell me men are headed to the home to take out a ceiling they needed tarp the roofers were out of town they returned Friday which was not an emergency tarp but several pieces of plastic allowing rain through my windows which Ms knighting screamed at me to pay them 1500 when it was apart of my 7000 gutted for my roof and ceiling I have them on tape Ms knighting has selective memory l had to sleep in my car friends sofas slept in parks because I was sick trim mole I had to meet her contractor Stanley at my home the mole remediation followed me to a doctor spot so he could get a check from her my doctor has it in his notes I had an MRI from the fall from the smell and went deaf for 4 days now she is refusing to replace windows from wind damage and hail she should know she hired Stanley to extract water from my vents where the water from the windows rolledin
Home insurance/water heater damage
We had a water heater burst in our kitchen back in June 2018, I contacted Liberty mutual, the adjuster came out the same day, Stanley Steamer was called as well. I took pictures as did my adjuster. Stanley Steamer did an excellent job cleaning up the water damage. I was given a check that same day. Asbestos was found in my kitchen floor a crew was sent out to remove the floor/asbestos. The sheetrock in the kitchen washer/dryer area was removed left exposed. My kitchen was boxed up placed in the garage, our refrigerator was placed in the dining room, 4 months later is still there!
I got sick, complained to my adjuster, I'm allergic to mold. He clearly didn't care. He dismissed my symptoms.
I submitted a few estimates from reputable companies, one company was referred to me by Liberty Mutual and the estimates were turned down. Stanley Steamer was paid alot more than we were for our loss!
I emailed a complaint to his supervisor, whom to date that said supervisor has failed to respond to my email or my phone call. My claim has been conveniently closed and my kitchen is still in the same way that they left it. I'm so disappointed with this company with how the customers are treated. They sure don't mind taking my monthly premium payments! This clearly is the worst company I have ever dealt with. No compassion whatsoever!
No contractor will touch my kitchen because the money that was given to me is not worth their time.
Car insurance
10/13 I was online searching for new car insurance and came across this company and they set up insurance for me but the price was way too high. I needed insurance right away so I set up policy with them and continued looking for cheaper insurance found cheaper insurance with national general for half the price so I called back 2 hours later canceling the policy with liberty mutual. They said that since I called back and canceled so soon they wouldn't process payment on my account. So monday morning 10/15 I check my account to see a transaction processed by them and it overdrafted my account so I call them right away obviously upset at this point and they tell me they apologize blah blah and said they will issue refund but won't release until 10/29 so now im really pissed because it didn't take them 2 weeks to take my money which was unauthorized at this point so why I gotta wait 2 weeks for a refund. Very unprofeesional and I advise not to do business with this company they are sharks and scam artist just want to hold your money never give them your banking info! Never do business with them or you will regret it!
Homeowner’s insurance policy
I sold my townhouse on 9/14 and closed with all financing on same day.
I spoke with customer service 2 days before and they notified me they would send a paper check 2 weeks after I closed on 9/28.
I requested a check be sent to my new address as I had to vacate townhouse after closing. Customer service agreed to send check to new address.
Paper check was mailed (supposedly) on 10/4 to old address.
I called on 10/10 and was told check mailed to old address and liberty mutual admitted error. I was told I would be mailed another check on 10/10.
I followed up on 10/12 and no check had been issued, so billing had me send in blank check so they could direct deposit refund in 1-5 business days.
I followed up on 10/19 and was told no direct deposit was possible and paper check was mailed on 10/17. I was told it would take 5-10 business days to receive check.
I don't know if liberty insurance are liars, crooks or both, but this has been an exercise in avoiding paying me my refund.
I request a response to confirm my check has been mailed.
Not only will I never do business with liberty insurance, I will actively discourage anyone from doing business with them .
(lack of) service
Had sewage back-up on September 8, 2018. Liberty has gone out of their way to denim claims, even though I have documentation, pictures, invoices, etc., and has even hired a "Leak expert" to deny my claim. A LEAK EXPERT! I didn't even know they existed! I paid for sewage back-up insurance, but they said my sewage didn't back up!
This is a scam, and they will deny each and every claim every time, and change their decisions to justify the denials.
Personal auto insurance
I am very disappointed in the service I have received from Liberty Mutual. My husband and I had to make another payment towards our policy or it would cancel for nonpayment. We had spoke to billing and she informed us we had until 5pm to call the payment in or do it online by 12am. It was 5:01om and so we made the payment online. Now we get a notice in the mail saying the policy cancelled for nonpayment. After many calls and 4 supervisors we find out the payment we made went to and inactive closed policy and the payment we made went to the policy due to a name associated to that account and not the active policy. Our policy cannot be reinstated bc there is money's owes to that account even though the active policy should have received it. It's complete [censored] and a scam to get more money and don't care that we are driving around with no insurance bc LM is trying to reason it by wanting more money in the end.To top this off our claim is still on going with the car sat in my yard for 12days still not towed, got sent to 2 experts who turned out not to be experts at all and finally after many calls it went to a 3rd expert through Mercedes which should have happened in the first place. We were told it was totaled now it might not be by $100 and the car is still sitting in the lot going on 30 days!We are paying for a rental out of pocket because our limit ran out and it's due to the slack on LM end. I have never in my years driving and having worked at an agency have had issues with a company like this before. The fact that a name is associated with an old account and a payment that was asked for the active policy was made will not be transferred bc of that really goes to show how customer retention is not a priority with LM. I will make sure LM is not recommended when I am asked what company to choosejust for those reasons alone. There is no priority of customer Retention just finding ways to scam more money. Worst mistake switching over from Safety Insurance.
Auto claim
On Monday October 8th we had an accident with a Liberty Mutual insurance carrier. As of today, October 13, our vehicle remains as is...cannot be driven and we have no vehicle rental to drive. The accident repost clearly places the blame on your carrier and witnesses state the same. Your Ms. Mcdonals (Mutual Agent) claims that nothing can be done until you have had a conversation with your client. Six days later and no word from LM. You ignore us and are pushing us to deal with our insurance agency forcing us to pay a $750 deductible. We find your tactics to be unfair and unethical.
You force a simple auto claim into a legal battle. You advertise yourselves as a caring company and treat people badly.
We hope to hear back from you...we have a car that's not drivable sitting in our driveway for nearly a week now. No claims adjuster, no email back and no phone call.
Auto insurance
Sunday Aug. 5 my friend Gaspard was driving to church when a bicyclist failed to stop at a red light and slammed into his wife's car.
The bicyclist was taken by Trauma Hawk to a nearby hospital and treated for a traumatic brain injury. Sadly he died.
The police quickly cleared Gaspard of any wrong-doing and said the bicyclist was at fault. Being involved in the tragic accident greatly upset Gaspard, and he'd burst into tears at the thought of the man's death.
Liberty Mutual quickly settled with the dead man's estate for the modest limit of the policy without conferring with Gaspard, 61.
Despite his sadness, Gaspard had to get back to work as a 1-man landscaping crew to feed and take care of his new wife Yris and his new teenage step-daughter Christina.
But he couldn't get a clear answer about his wife Yris' slightly damaged 2014 car that's utilized to take Christina to school, for his wife to go to and from English classes in the morning and for her to go to work and home in the afternoon and evening.
Gaspard's yard work takes him from Boca Raton to Jupiter and doesn't leave much time to give his family rides.
Repeated ride-sharing trips daily are not in the family's humble budget.
And, Gaspard faces five more years of payments to PNC Bank on the used vehicle loan.
The insurance company gave him a few days use of a rental but has gone quiet. After about 3 months he was told the insurer didn't have to tell him the location of the car. They hinted that they have to keep it in case there is a lawsuit.
The police report says Gaspard is not at fault.
After Yris missed two weeks work because she couldn't get rides, Gaspard began renting vehicles as cheaply as possible. Then he borrowed $1, 000 from friends to pay for about a month's rentals.
With no end in sight to when and if he will get the car back, he is taking $5, 000 from his meager retirement fund.
And, he got a credit card just so he can pay for rentals until he hits the credit limit.
Gaspard and his new family desperately need their car back or a loaned vehicle.
Does anyone know how to get Liberty Mutual to step up and help my friend?
If they they think they need the vehicle for a possible lawsuit, then they should ensure Gaspard a replacement vehicle.
The customer service the way the interviewer conducted his interview very rudely making presumptions
I'm the way the interview inducted the interview was very rude making presumptions and accusations like I'm being dishonest which decided STEEZ never was a question I might have been mistaken on a few things and trying to talk me in circles of about information pertaining to who lives with me telling me that records indicate that the line doesn't belong to me the register user is somebody else and I'm farming him the line does belong to me and the register user was just a name on the paperwork
The interview Bill Knight very rude making presumptions and accusations that I am frotting because a registered user on my account making presumptions that that was her phone and not my phone that I am going back and forth on my statement which never took place giving me wrong telephone numbers for information I requested and then going back saying he gave me the right numbers where it's been recorded that he gave me the wrong number making inquiries into things have nothing to do with my stolen cell phones making presumptions that people live with me. Do not stay with me telling me to email one person and then going back telling me to email him and then saying email whoever I wish to email a little customer service will be appreciated I pay insurance through you guys for a sense of well-being not to be attacked and criticized and making presumptions that I'm frotting is unacceptable and a a paying customer shouldn't have to put up with such things I've contacted his Superior Michael Sanders and left a detailed voice message and ask him to return my call will see if he returns my call in the timely manner

Disability claim
I had had my short disability claim mishandled through my case manager upon a receipt of a denied claim. I had to hire a lawyer to appeal my claim. I'm very disappointed in the service and feel their needs to be more justification done for such mishandling of my short term disability claim. It has cost me my job almost and lost wages due to mishandling of my case. Also I have been devastated through the process and traumatized due to worrying of Sadly I'm still under treatment which they caused me with more anxiety then enough.

I was quoted a price and charged the agreed amount for 3 months, then the price increased, I was told if I participated in their "Right Track" program I could realize a discount of up to 10% if I proved to be safe driver. I was informed that I was indeed a safe driver and would receive a discount of $68 per year, instead on my bill for the 4th month my premium went up $2. When I called to complain I was treated in a very cavalier way, as though I were stupid for expecting the discount they promised me.

Wawa‘s is a client of liberty Mutal who is taking care of my insurance claim. Wawa‘s gas attendant by accident put regular gas into my diesel tank. Me and my three boys drove cross country pumping our own gas along the way... Got to WAWA and a gas attendant to regular into my diesel. I can not get back home now, me and my kids have been stuck in NJ. Liberty Mutual Insurance adjuster Laura said why do I ask for so much why don't you just drive when it's done, she told me I was begging and that they were not going to fix my engine. Laura is a very nasty southern woman who I will keep in my prayers. I would like my vehicle sent to Austin Texas where we're from to be fixed and plane tickets for family to get home.
