Liberty Security has been good to work with
Liberty Security has been good to work with. Very friendly and helpful. The service technicians go above and beyond to integrate existing tech you have into their system, even if you supplied it yourself.

My name is Peter, I get a phone call on my cell phone and didn't answer it!
My name is Peter, I get a phone call on my cell phone and didn't answer it!. The number I didn't recognize so I let it ring. The message they left was looking for Pat ***!? My name as I stated is Peter!. I don't give my number to people/companies so how they got my number is certainly odd.
I have been with Liberty Security for almost 5 years. Although the initial contract was for 3 years yet continued with the same plan without realizing the opportunity to get into different terms with enhanced monitoring. Yesterday (9th June ), discussed with the Loyalty department with someone for the first time and got impressed with the level of support and guidance offered. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my appreciations to *** for having given a broader understanding of various options that enabled selection of the most valuable option. The expertise demonstrated with patience and reflection of professional approach to achieve customer satisfaction were excellent, which will certainly add value to further organizational growth.
I've had 3 issues the bast 5 years with faulty equipment. Its been very difficult to cancel this service. They say they will send cancelation request forms but they only send emails with lower rates trying to change my mind. It's been quite the hassle and they're giving me the runaround. Very frustrating!
Great customer service and always helpful- this is why I chose to renew with Liberty!

About 5 years into my contract, I was disappointed with some aspects of my security system
About 5 years into my contract, I was disappointed with some aspects of my security system. Recently, I discussed this with Liberty Rep, ***. He was very helpful, polite & well informed. He took a lot of time with me on our call & he was very understanding of how I felt. Together we worked through the issues & I will now renew my contract with Liberty because of him. Thanks, ***! Great job!
A wonderful gentleman updated our alarm system after our move
We had the pleasure of having a wonderful gentleman update our alarm system after we moved. He was very pleasant during the process. He explained the optimal placement for alarms in the house. We have only positive feedback for this company and highly recommend their services. Thanks to this helpful individual, who is truly an asset to the business.
The salesman indicated to us that we could terminate the service at any time
The salesman indicated to us that we could terminate the service at any time. We are now in a situation where we must sell our house and asked to terminate and were informed by the head office that we have 30 months of coverage remaining under the contract and would be billed accordingly. The salesman was very, very misleading in his sales pitch. He at no time indicated that one must pay the full three years of the contract if he or she terminates prior to the 36 months. We should have had a lawyer look at the contract before signing, but were foolish and took the salesman at his word. He did not lie to us, but neither was he forthcoming about the terms. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Cancelled a policy back in April confirmed it is cancelled
Cancelled a policy back in April confirmed it is cancelled. Had the plan since 2017. Moved it to my parents place. Liberty Had weird charges on Jan 2021 6 x 54.04 Again more charges on August 12. 6x 54.04. Called to see what's up. They confirmed that the policy was cancelled after calling today Sept 8 2021 and yes w reference number and all it has been cancelled. What's going on here guys? We didn't even use or ask to use your stuff since then. At least give instructions when we cancel the policy. Return equipment, etc. I wish to be reimbursed these amounts. Never armed in 3 years. The panel has been off for 2 years. Replaced the fire alarm and such since then. With one's not needing monitoring. I think fair is to Back date to April and reimburse any charges. Since then. When a customer calls to cancel... Usually that Means we WTFO of any service and products you have and wish to stop paying you and end the relationship. Sincerely Robert
After an offer from our insurance provider, we looked into home monitoring with Liberty and dealt with the National Sales Lead out of Edmonton
After an offer from our insurance provider, we looked into home monitoring with Liberty and dealt with the National Sales Lead out of Edmonton. Everything sounded good and we were interested in signing up Upon receipt of the contract, we decided there were too many red flags to proceed with a 4 year commitment so we did not sign anything and I emailed the Sales Lead to tell him we were not interested in proceeding. We did not have installation lines up. The next morning, I received an alert from *** saying a credit inquiry had been logged. One of the terms in the contract that I DID NOT SIGN was that there would be a credit check. I cannot believe they proceeded with a credit inquiry when it had never been discussed with me and I declined to sign the contract authorizing them to do so. It completely validated the gut feel we had that there were too many red flags to get entangled with Liberty Security. I have yet to hear back from the Sales Lead but I have sent him 2 emails and left a voicemail. I have also filed a claim with *** to have the unauthorized credit check removed from my record.
If something seems too good to be true it usual is
If something seems too good to be true it usual is. At the start all was good, signed an agreement with the Rep to have Liberty Come and install. Could have sworn the Rep said it was 36 months, i had told him that i already turned down another company as they wanted 60 months. When Tech guy came he installed the equipment, I Did not realize id signed a 60 month contract on there electronic Tablet. Over past couple of years we have had various issues, Dog Friendly motion detector that picks the dog up constantly (now turned off completely), Smoke Alarm failing when your asleep, door bell camera not working, delays in picking up motion so you miss packages being stolen from your door step, Not being able to open the camera from 3 different devices. Be Very Aware, if your equipment fails after 12 month, you will have to fight to get them to help you. Also do not listen to the Rep when he rights down the cost of the equipment that you are getting, you can buy all of it for a lot less than they charge. I have sent an email through *** to Liberty Explaining my Problems and to see if we can come up with a way to end my contract and have had no reply. I contacted customer support who informed me to cancel my contract i would have to pay $3480 to end it. If only i could go back and read the small print.

I want to get out of my 60 month contract as the hardware is failing
I want to get out of my 60 month contract as the hardware is failing. I first reported the problem 13 months after install and charged me $75 to repair. It is still not working properly and I do not want to use them. They never told me the warranty on equipment was only 12 months and the contract was 60 months.

I purchased in home security from Liberty Security
I purchased in home security from Liberty Security. When my door and water sensors stopped working I made several attempts to speak to someone at Liberty. Every time I was told someone will call me back. I never received a return call. After 3 months of bypassing the system my fees become due, then they were calling and replacing my faulty sensors. And charging my credit card without my authorization for the past 3 months that I had been bypassing my Security. This is not right

Date of Transaction - Jul10 2018 Liberty promised components that were never delivered
Date of Transaction - Jul10 2018 Liberty promised components that were never delivered. Buyer's remorse set in and I phoned to cancel service at beginning of contract. Service provider Admitted to non-delivery and eventually we came to terms over several phone calls that the service contract is no longer valid. The service provider failed to live up to their promise and therefore the contract is null and void. I just recently checked my credit report and found this collection for $3703. I thought this matter was settled several years ago; I want this removed from my credit report asap. thank you very much

Initial Rep said 36-month contract, I agreed
Initial Rep said 36-month contract, I agreed. On the tablet, the contract's full pages aren't visible; scrolling is required, and I overlooked the change to a 60-month term. Some equipment failed, some repaired, some not. Removed dog-friendly motion sensor due to pet-triggered false alarms. Doorbell camera remains ineffective despite replacement. Smoke alarm failed but was replaced. I'm stuck paying for a contract not fully honored by Liberty. I have fewer features than desired, paid for video but got limited access, and am prompted to 'upgrade' beyond the $90 monthly fee. Motion detection was disabled. I've spoken to a representative who was unhelpful and uninformed. Post-12-month equipment failures become my financial responsibility, despite a 60-month service contract. Without the promised service, I believe I'm entitled to terminate the agreement.

Ordered a large residential monitoring system in Dec
Ordered a large residential monitoring system in Dec. 2020. Was partially installed approx feb 2021. They did not have all the products ordered with them. Technician returned approx. April. Did not install all the system partially due to owners electrical supply issues for cameras. I called the technician when it wa resolved in May? He told me to contact the company for an installation. I was reticent in contacting, as the only 2 issues left were a water shut off and a camera (Water is already off) . In early July, i received 300 emails about motion detection in 2 rooms and low battery issues. Turned off system after a police inspection after alarm. They were supposed to send a tech on July 13. No contact and no show. Another ticket was issued for July 27. Unable to contact tech. I asked for them to cancel the contract. Still no answer. The owner purchased some of the equipment. Company is unable to meet contract requirements. Dates are approx but 6 weeks with security!

In Sept 2020 a man named *** from Liberty Security systems came to my door selling a security system and a fall assist wrist bracelet
In Sept 2020 a man named *** from Liberty Security systems came to my door selling a security system and a fall assist wrist bracelet. He saw I was wearing a *** fall assist medallion. He made the claim that Liberty security bought the *** service from ***. He got me to sign a contract with his company for their security system and wrist bracelet. I constantly said I did not need it, or use it. I felt intimidated to sign a contract with their company. The contract stated I would receive a wrist medallion and included was a wall mounted door alarm system which I did not want and told them I did not want. The wrist bracelet for the fall reporting was sent to me 3 months later in December. I sent the bracelet back. I have tried to call the extension number provided by *** to cancel my contact and on Sept 27, 28, 29 of 2020 in which he claimed I had to call him only to cancel. I was told I could only cancel my service through him. I left multiple messages for *** to call me, but I did not receive any call backs. I called different occasions and was left on hold for long periods of time without being able to talk to a representative for over and hour. At one point I was denied talking to someone because they were closing, and I was hung up on.

***
. In August , a salesman from Liberty Smart Security (Liberty Security Systems) came to our door. He asked if he could put a sign on our lawn. Turns out the sign was a Liberty Security sign that would be put up if we bought their security system. He also also said that we might not be able to get the good deal if we waited until a later date. He was a very good salesman. We bought the system that day and signed up for three years at a cost of about $55.00 per month, including taxes. We had 10 days to cancel the contract. We realized after a few months that we did not need the system. We have never used it. In June I contacted the Liberty Smart Security company and asked for the contract to be cancelled. (I was willing to pay a penalty fee) They said no. I had signed the contract and the 10 days cancellation date was passed. They said my only two options were to pay out the remainder of the contract, (about 27 months) or sell the system to someone else. *** Is there anything I or the ComplaintsBoard.com can do to get this contract cancelled. Thanks

Liberty Security Systems Inc
Liberty Security Systems Inc. was performing a door to door service sale around May . Their main sales pitch was for a "Advertising Home" two year contract deal, where the residence would have to display the signage of the company for two years and would in-turn receive a hundred percent discount on Installation and cost only $99.00 for Activation. After the two year period I had contacted the company to cancel the service and was informed that it was a five year contract and cancellation would require a payout for the remainder of the contract. I have asked two other customers in the area that also signed up and both confirmed they are under the impression that the contract is for two years. The signed contract that is used only states in one location that it is a term of 60 months in which during the sales pitch is not covered. This is done by the sales representative working through what the customer wants for products whether door, window or other sensors and reiterating that you get the above discounts with the two year advertising home contract. The cancellation payout and fees are not stated in the contract given to the customer. After calling the company to cancel and being told that I can either transfer to another party or payout I looked over the fine print on the reverse of the contract and found it does not state that the customer will have to payout the remainder of their contract. Overall the contract does not cover any cancellation directive less the cancellation before receiving the installation or the ten days after receiving the written agreement.

I discussed signing up with Liberty with a door to door salesperson
I discussed signing up with Liberty with a door to door salesperson. The package and placement of items in the security system was agreed upon and an appointment was made for installation. The installation tech showed up late (10pm, 2 hours late) and with out notice. Shortly after installation had begun I saw that the tech was installing equipment in the wrong places as per the agreement with the salesperson. The tech refused to install the equipment where it was agreed upon with salesperson. I was clear that I wasn't interested in having him install anything other than what was explicitly agreed upon with the salesperson. At this point the tech left my house (1am) leaving the system 1/2 installed and I did not hear anything from Liberty Security. At the end of my work shift the next day (5pm) I called the salesperson to find out what was going on. He refused to address my issue with the installation and proceeded to try and pressure me into buying more services. I told him several times that I was only interested in what was discussed and otherwise I would like the portion of the system that was left uninstalled at my house removed and we could both go our separate ways. He refused to accept this and would only suggest that the same tech come back late that night and finish installing the system that was clearly not what I wanted or discussed with him. At this point I gave up on resolving things with the salesperson and called Liberty's 1-800 number. I spoke with a reresentative whom told me I could uninstall the equipment myself and mail it back to them and that I would not be charged any money and the relationship would be terminated. When I removed the equipment I was dismayed to find that the installation tech had put a rather large and unsightly hole in the wall of my hallway where he attempted to install the control panel. The next day my doorbell rang and it was the installation tech again (no appointment made) saying he was there to finish installation. At that point I gave him the equipment he had left, he looked at it and said it was all there, apologized for the bad experience and left my house. Several days later, Liberty withdrew @$300 from my bank account for activation and installation fees. I have called several times to attempt to get my money back to no avail. On one of these conversations I was told that the paperwork I had signed with the tech stated that i agreed the panel would be installed in the hallway. I asked for a copy of this as I absolutely did not sign anything of the sort. When I received the said papers my signature had very clearly been filled in by the salesperson on one form and the installation tech on another. Both papers have different signatures that are clearly forged by the person completing the paperwork and both signatures look nothing even close to resembling my actual signature. At this point I am left with no choice but to attempt to resolve this with either the police, my lawyer and or my bank. I am worried that they will continue to withdraw money from my account for a service that I am not getting and an installation that never took place. The contract clearly stated that I can cancel the contract at any point and without explanation within 10 days of the installation. I still have not been refunded my money or been contacted by anyone from Liberty Security. My phone conversations with their 1-800 number have all been unsuccessful in finding a resolution to this problem. My hope is that the ComplaintsBoard.com can help me in resolution of this disaster. I have all of the paperwork and evidence for all of what I have stated in this report. Thank you for reading and please help me resolve this. All I want is to have my money refunded.
