over charged/error taxes
Had taxes filled at their office. Was to receive refund for $3, 029 upon receiving my refund -862. Was told that was for preparation. Then found out through another tax service that my taxes had a couple of errors. Tried to see if I could get them to correct it to no avail. If feel that the public should not
Have to endure this false advertisement of standing behind their work.

wasnt informed of other charges
I being a college student went to a profeesional tax company liberty tax in staten islan on victory blvd they neglected to inform me of the charge from the bank that issued my refund and when I saw a deposit in my account had no idea where it came from. When I finally figured it out I spoke to a manager at liberty and said his employees are well trained and they absolutly did inform me of this added charge. Which by the way I was not informed because if I was I would have opted to get it threw a bank that didnt take out this fee. I was appalled and out right called a liar no way to do bussiness so anyone reading this I would not recommend this tax service unless you would like to get ripped off threw a bank which liberty most likly makes money threw by feeding them your tax returns check it out yourself at jtc financial llc

false adverstisement
I am extremely disappointment with the services provided by Liberty Tax, located on Main Street, Santa Ana Office, CA. This office is less than half a mile from my office, so the location is very desirable. Like most people, I was drawn in by the promise of 30% off the fees. I would imagine that the fees would be inflated, but had no idea how much it would...
Read full review of Liberty Tax Serviceunfair treatment of employees
I have ongoing issues of harassment, violations of employee’s labors laws, discrimination, unfair treatment, and that I have been lied to and reverted to a new contract without my approval or knowledge, and without my consent or signature so it's hard to know where to start.
The above issues I believe may be legal and I understand this more involves the reduction of hours and an unjustified demotion. I stated unjustified because for a week I have been asking why and have received two different answers, and still no legitimate reason for the demotion.
I have been having problems with a new supervisor for a while. She has been sending me e-mails threatening to write me up for things not across the board company wise. It was stated by her that she could make anything a policy.
On January 14, my Area Director intended to send an email to my District Manager but e-mailed it to me in error. The e-mail stated “Name, do you see what I see, no returns for this office so far, ” when in fact I had two completed to date. She also stated, “If something is not done she will be gone next week.” The official opening tax date per the IRS this year was January 17, and then moved to January 30. I spoke to my District Manager about my concern with this but he did nothing to help me but say “you have all the emails to show what she is doing and if anything comes down you have the emails to prove it.” This has continued on and on since then.
On Wednesday February 13, AD sent an e-mail out to office supervisors about business hours when just a few days before, her supervisor sent out an email that brought up a question regarding Karyn's email. To clarify any misconceptions I replied with only a question to my AD and she replied back as an entire group e-mail with a reply that appears to make me look dumb, stating not to ask questions like that on a group reply as I may confuse the people who do understand.
My problem was not in understanding. Employee and store hours were being changed frequently, sometimes daily for a while. With the hours changing and two different people sending out instructions, all I want to do was clarify our hours of operation. The way she spoke to me in a group e-mail, I felt that she made me look stupid in front of several people. I was at that point that I finally had to stand up for myself and I replied to her that I didn’t appreciate her making me feel and look stupid in front of all those people when in fact I did understand but just wanted to clarify as things kept changing as far as store hours, employee hours…etc.
Two days later, Friday February 15, the district manager came in, sat there dong work of his own for about two hours, he then called me into the back room and advised that I was being demoted and that he had known since Wednesday, the same day as the e-mail with my Supervisor, but waited two days to tell me. When I asked why he stated that it had nothing to do with my AD but the numbers were down from last year, something that I had no control over. I stated to him that the numbers were down across the board company-wide as he had showed me in a report a few days before.
He then stated, "I know but Corporate has no clue what they are doing, ” he then advised me to take the weekend off, think about what I wanted to do so he could figure out how to write it up. I then asked what my options really were, was I supposed to sit back and take a forced demotion or do I not have a job anymore? He knew that she was putting restrictions on me and not allowing any attempts that I wanted to try to for marketing purposes. Any suggestions I made in attempts to make to bring in more business were shot down, and I was told “no” and “that everything had to be approved by the marketing department.”
I put in a company issue on this right away as I have worked there for over a year and there were never any complaints about me and that I received a very good evaluation last summer from the previous Area Director.
This was turned over to Director of Human Services, and when I asked her why I was demoted she said that I was not demoted but it was felt that I was not a good fit as Office Supervisor, and that it was decided that I was a better fit as a Tax Preparer. I then told her that DM clearly stated I was demoted, and then I asked what the reasoning behind it was. She told me she did not know and that she would have Supervisor write up a statement.
To this date she has not been able to answer any of the questions that I have asked regarding why and what she is doing to get my job and hours back. I have sent her many emails as I have many emails clearly showing what Supervisor was doing to me and. I have received nothing at all, and still no answers. The only thing I have received is proof in black and white that HR has lied to me.
I have been given on a new contract as a Tax Preparer without my knowledge or agreement. I mentioned that to HR at least 3 times asking why. I was not given a response until Friday February 22, and at that point I asked my replacement for a printed copy of this contract. Approximately an hour of being clocked in Barbara emailed me about signing this contract. I advised that I cannot sign as this would make me to voluntarily taken this demotion.
I was forced to, and am still fighting for my job and my hours back. Because of this I am going to lose my home over this unjustly nightmare with this company. I would also like to add that they tried to say that I could not handle the job.
In my defense when I was hired I was hired last year as an Office Supervisor only and was told that I did not have to do customers tax returns if I did not want to. This year it was made mandatory that the office supervisor and the lead tax preparer would be combined into one job. Those are 2 separate jobs, and I am just trying to cover as much as I can and I that I was still not provided a factual reason so I myself really do not know why my hours were reduced. My hours were taken from 40 per week down to 8, and now to 4. As office Supervisor I was firmly restricted to 40 hours/week with absolutely no overtime but new the new office supervisor oddly enough was approved by Supervisor, the area director for 48.5 per week.
In the event that it is needed I have much proof in black and white.
Was also placed under a new contract without my knowledge and was clocked in for an hour at work before HR emailed for me to sign it after the fact and before I was provided any type of answer. Legally I cannot sign when I am still fighting for my job and my hours. I am tired of this game with my life. This is all very unfair treatment and it appears that people are just covering others. Am going to lose my home over this BS and I don't think any of this to be funny as it is playing with me life. I have had enough and believe it to be in my best interest to bring legal action into this matter.
I completely feel for you. I recently quit the Fulton, MO office due to the fact that the office is run by a very disorganized and untrustworthy owner. I am now waiting on my final paycheck which was due on 3/2/13. On 3/2 the office manager said he was bringing them that day. I did not get a response later asking if they were there. On 3/5 the office manager said she was going to Jefferson City to pick them up and she would let me know when to pick it up. On 3/6 office manager said the owner had switched banks and his funds were frozen until 3/6 or 3/7 and that no one at any office was going to get a check until at least 3/7. Does any of this sound legitimate to anyone? Are there any legal steps to be taken?
illegal operations
Why is it that nobody ever answers the phone or promises to call me back for weeks and they never do at the Louisville Ky office at [protected]? A preparer picked up my taxes, then brought me back $50 cash in a flash and I have no idea how much I was charged or how much I am getting back and nobody can tell me anything! I want my money for my refund, a copy of my taxes if they really even filed… it, I want an invoice, and I want any and all fees refunded to me NOW by overnight mail. There is no excuse for this. I should have known better. This is my first year ever filing and this is not proper procedure. I do not even know who my tax preparer really was because the guy who picked up my w2s does not have a PTIN because a friend told me he could not get one as he is a felon and did not file his own taxes for years, yet he works there!? Now that I know, I also know I have a right to get a full refund because of the 100percent money back guarantee, and that better include the ERC money which is a bank product that requires your company to give me details and signature paperwork before even sending my taxes to the IRS. I did not even get to review anything! I am very very upset about the way this store operates and I want someone to call me back right away. So go ahead and put my complaint in, send me a ticket# and have Corporate call me back within 24-48 hours like their policies promise, and call me with favorable results because I want my service fee money back, plus whatever charges I was charged for a refund transfer fee that another friend said could be as high $49.95!? Why would I pay over a third of my refund with simple forms to get back what he said was around $450 after fees but they cut his hours so now he does not even know anything to tell me except go up there and get their attention? I deserve answers. If the news people went there, they would get answers for me. Give me a managers number and email or some hope of a contact person who is capable of understanding my frustration. I am a new college student and new filer only 18 years old. Not happy at ALL! Please answer! I should not have to call a hundred places. My email is [redacted] and I expect a response on this page soon. Please help! Now this guy Erick Cheatham says he took my info to a store over 30 miles away which is a new store and made them #1 but they just cut his hours and he has no access to my info and to keep calling. I been calling, I don't even know where this place is! Why could he not file it in the close stores of my house where he came pick my taxes up? He can be famous but I want my stuff now and I better not have a stolen identity in the next few years either. Give me my stuff back and refund me everything!

Go online or call your (BBB), Better Business Bureau and let them know what you are going through. These Tax Services are ripp-off's and don't seem to care about the hard work we do to pay their taxes, and the refund we are due! I went over to Instant Tax Services and they stole HALF of my money. I'm filing complaints with everyone to hopefully get them Shut Down! Good Luck
refund
I filed through liberty tax. My DD is 2/13/13 or February 13, 2013 and nothing. I calleD THE IRS they said it went into liberty tax bank yesterday 2/12/13 I called liberty corp. and they reroute me to JHT? They acknowledge the IRS deposit as of 2/12/13 @ 5:23 they stated an additional 4 days to process. They use another bank called River City Bank to take their fees and forward it on to get DD to your account. What boggles my mind is that HR BLOCK DOESN'T DO THIS, I ALWAYS GOT MY MONEY ON TIME... LASTLY, western union turn around time is an hour.. So why would they hold my money for 4 more days? Processing does not take that long.

They charged 3 times more this year when I was getting 1/8 less back then last year and they told when that I will have my check in 8-14 days well its been over a month and nothing every time I call they said nope not in but they don't ask for my name or nothing so I think I need to get all my money now back include what they took out for them selfs cuz I'm gonna file a small claims on them tomorrow if its not all in my hand

unethical
I am just really upset that even these supposedly legitimate major tax offices are getting involved in some
very ugly business practices. We went to this office and we were told we could file, even though we knew
that we could not - (It was only Jan. 15) We were told that they were able to file it. What BS. But that's not
even the bad part. We inquired about the fee, we were told that it would be right around $1000. WHAT?
Well, at least they told us so that we could leave. But no, then the owner, Byron Johnson, practically cornered
us and told us that we could make back our fee by bringing customers to him at $50 per client. We said we
really didn't know many people who need to file. He told us to bring in any girls or guys who don't think they
can file or get a refund and he will get then education credits and get them a refund, we would make $50 per
person. Is this guy for real? There is enough scamming and scheming going on in Tampa without having
the big tax services getting involved in the seamy side of this business. I attempted to phone Liberty Tax Corporate
about this and they seemed to be very unfazed by these actions. I doubt they even took notes about it. I
find this very sad.
I filed a complaint with Liberty Tax and the IRS and guess what? Nothing happened. The IRS is just as guilty, letting agents get away with this unless its hundreds of thousands of dollars.
A year after your complaint, my stepson goes to a different office in Tampa, they pulled the same thing, offered to get him college credit for his taxes. This being his first return, he wasn't sure what was going on, they told him, we're getting you a big refund back, you can pay our fees out of that return, which ended up being just under half. I went in to confront them today, after yelling screaming and being as intimidating as I could be, we signed a refund request form and were told it would be 2-3 weeks for it to go up the corporate ladder, stopping off with Byron first. I am curious as to what resolution you had gotten? We have since filed an amended return and I'm a hair breath away from reporting them to the IRS. They were laughing at us when we left, but once outside, I turned around and went back in, took a picture of the three agents in there and made the comment that this picture "may come in handy at some point in the future." Let them draw their own inference from that remark.
lies
I was told by the manager I would recieve 50 buks for every refferal, I referd 2 people then I call they say no I get my reffural bonus when those 2 people got approved, now they got approved so I call again story changed to oh u get ur bonus when they recieve there money, so I call today story changed to, oh u worked for us b4 so u cant get... I call a diffrnt day the manager would not give me any info on my tax return she hung up.. I called the corprait office I was told I would recieve my prep fees back for the ignorance they said I would get a follow up call in 24 hours but its been 48 I hvnt recieved no call... I gave it a cple days I called today to ask for managers num an she would nott give me her bosses num. continued to b ignorant.773931_7694 stephen alilovich.
I referred someone and was blown off about the $50. Now they are saying they have no proof that I was the one who referred her. I told them this is not right. I probably wont use them again and definitely wont refer anyone. They shoot themselves in the foot - to save $50 bucks but lose customers.
high fees
Liberty Tax put a flyer on my windshield that said they would pay me $50 to do my taxes. Instead I payed them almost $300. I asked them how they came up with that price and they said they do not know but the computer does it. I said is it based upon the refund and they said no, it is based on the paper work. My receipt listed the total cost and itemized the forms they filled out but did not list the cost for each form.
To make sure I had it straight I said, if I walked in that door and asked you how much it is to do my taxes you would not be able to tell me? And they said that was correct.
It sounds like I'm making this up doesn't it? What has the world come to when the customer is promised $50 only to find out that it is going to cost you some amount at the end, though we don't know what the amount will be, or have any idea until the process is finished. No estimate, no basis for the charge, just "the computer is going to do it".
I guess I should be grateful they did not charge me a million dollars.
That will be a million dollars sir? What! How did you come up with that! Computer says.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
send a friend
They always do the thing where you send a friend and get $50. Every year we senf people up there and they call us right away to get the $50. This year when we sent people they never called us so we called them and they said we would get it in a couple of days and they never called us and we never got our money. I will never send anyone to them again and probably will not go back to them and will advise others to do the same!
liberty tax services
First time filing with Liberty Tax Services. On January 24th 2013 I filed my income taxes with Liberty Tax Services on Ave L and 30th street west, Lancaster, CA. I am used to recieving copys of all my paperwork after filing, however they offered me none. The next day I called and left a message and faxed them a message to contact me regarding a copy of all my paperwork as well as their fees that they never disclosed. No one got back to me. It is now February 1st 2013 and I called the office again and spoke to someone and asked her for my paperwork, she said that the paperwork will be given to me once my refund check is available. I told her I was never told of how much the fees will be, she kept avaoiding the question. Then I mentioned I could not get a status report on my refund on line, she then told me thats because the amount your getting back is different from the amount we told you. my actual refund is $2210.00 but I will only be getting $1771.00. This shows they are charging me $439.00. This amount is outrageous! I am very upset. Is There anything I can do about it?
owes me wages & commissions
Ideal Accounting Solutions, Inc is a Liberty Tax Service franchise; Nelson E. Maldonado & Jesse Casanova Maldonado are the owners of 4 franchise locations in Miami-Dade County and the Ft. Myers area.
Despite signing an employment contract, they’ve ripped me off for nearly all of my training hours, some of the regular hours and 10% of my commission total at the end of tax season. Every pay period I was shorted 2 hours, and reported it repeatedly. This company owes me more than $500 since 2012 tax season and I intend to collect it.
All of my co-workers were also ripped off nearly all of their training hours and shorted regular pay too. Since we had to wait an additional 3 weeks to receive his commission report, I don’t know if my co-workers were also ripped off in this area too, but probably. Considering the commissions to be paid were only 4% of the customer invoices, this company is a total scam, liars and thieves.
I reported this company to the Dept. of Labor, but he simply lied to them in writing and contradicted himself about dates and his clearly worded employment contract. The Dept. of Labor referred me to a locally ran division within Miami-Dade county called the “Wage Theft” program, however they simply sent out a certified, return-receipt requested letter which was unclaimed. Now I have to pay for a process server to serve him the complaint letter. It’s almost been a year and according to the Miami-Dade attorney it could be another year before I see him in court b/c of the backlog of cases. However, when I win based on the proof, I’ll receive 3 times the amount he owes me… so it will be worth it in the end.
Bottom line, don’t work for any Liberty Tax Service franchise company and definitely don’t work for Ideal Accounting Solutions, Inc. unless you enjoy working for free and/or want to chase them to get paid.
Patrick, I am afraid you have been taught a very important, but costly lesson.
Always insist on a copy of the return, not some summary sheet with a bunch of numbers on it, but an actual 1040EZ, 1040A, or a 1040. If the company can not or will not provide it, then gather up your documents and head for the door. If I do not see a return, I do not
sign anything. If they file without me signing, then my attorney has them for fraud.
Good Luck!
Hello, My name is Patrick S. Evans, I'm a single male making $15 dollars an hour. I filed single, no deductions with liberty tax service in Long Beach, Ca. at 729 S. Long Beach Blvd. 90813. The tax officer informed me that my return would be $759 dollars, however after departed that office i realized that my return was $1, 500 dollars. Liberty tax service has a policy to give you a $50 dollar incentive payment just by using there service. also a $50 dollar referral program, I refered a friend at this same location who also had there taxes done. I have not recieved eiether payment. Liberty tax service also charged me $453 dollars to coplete a ten minute form on there computer. I did not recieve any reciept or any documents during this transaction. After recieving my refund from the IRS at the amount of $564 dollars from 1, 500 dollars thats when i realized something was wrong. Liberty tax service stil refuse to give me any reciept or forms for my records of my transaction with them. I truely believe i was wrongfully over charged for this service in question. If theres anyone out there who can help me please contact me at chasdanpse@yahoo.com or callme at [protected] stop the injustice.
4% wow!
Good Luck with your court case.

error when submitting state tax
I filed my taxes with the N. Academy office in Briargate, Owner Tami Westmeyer, and the software for State Filing was supposedly malfunctioning resulting in a letter from the State of Colorado sending me a delinquent notice. I contacted Liberty on 3 seperate occasions and they asked me to fax them the documents. I faxed them and they said they never received them. Then I faxed them a second time and I received a call from Robin who said they had many clients who received the same letter and they were working on the issue. I asked her if they had received the fax that I sent and she said yes and they would contact me as soon as they got it straightened out. I received another letter from Dept. of Revenue threatening to garnish my wages or attach my personal property if I did not pay. When my husband called the owner refused to speak to him and they said they never got the fax and couldn't do anything about it and wanted us to send it again. This is the worst service that I have ever received and should this not be worked out I will be taking Liberty to small claims. The whole purpose of allowing a tax agency to do your taxes is so that they can handle all the issues. I also signed papers that they gave me that stated they would handle any issues that arose.
I went to liberty tax to file my taxes in the bronx they told me to file self employment and thats what i did my check came and liberty tax took too much out for their fee they was suppose to refund me my money that they took out my check i been calling and calling and i keep getting the run around like the system is down or call back in 30 minutes i call back in 30 minutes and then they say please call back in 1 hour i been doing this for a week now and no response im saying to everyone do not deal with liberty tax they will really f*** you around and dont even care about what they are doing to the poor people in this community
go get a copy of your taxes and mail them to the state yourself and mail it certified.
screw that customer care help. they don't help anyone. all they do is send your complaint back to the manager to handle and tell them to take care of it within 48 hours. been there, done that with these folks.
Wendy- We are terribly sorry if you are having issues getting the help you need from one of our offices. We would love to help but will need your name and contact info; can you please email us at customercare@libtax.com so we can help?
over charging
In tax year ending 2008 we went to Liberty Tax inside the Manchester Mall in Fresno to have personal as well as a small corporate taxes prepared. It was e-filed by them, all was done to our satisfaction. (so we thought) The fee was $250.00. That was reasonable, no problem. We mailed in our check to IRS and State Franchise Board. Following year... same work... charged $350.00 by the same person, the owner of the franchise. Here comes the good part! When I complained about the difference in the charge, he said, "Oh yes Corporate said I didn't charge enough for that (2008) work, the fee has gone up." Well, now the work is done, we're up against a deadline, so we pay. Not happy about it but what are you going to do at this point? Fast forward to April 2012, I receive a letter from the state that they have not received payment for tax year ending 2010. I am absolutly positive I paid however, after doing the research through the bank, that check never cleared. So, ok can't prove I mailed it so, w have to pay fines, interests, etc. That part is not on Liberty. However, while on the phone with the State Franchise office, the agent mentions that 2008 filing has not been received. Now, remember, Liberty Tax e-filed that filing. So... I take my documents to the Liberty Tax office to get their copy of the e-filed form. He doesn't even remember doing this work although the documents are right before him. He can't find the document I needed. But during the conversation to hopefully refresh his memory, I mentioned the discrepancy in the fee from one year to the following year. His reply was, "Oh, well I just upped the fee cause I don't like doing corporates and I wanted to discourage you from coming back next year." That was a direct word for word quote! Do you believe that? Well, I began to feel that heat rising from my neck up to my face, heart pounding... I'm on the launch pad ready... countdown...3..2..1..! So I said in my most controlled voice..."You know, that just doesn't work for me. With that kind of attitude... you owe me $100.00." Got on my cell phone, called my husband, gave him a brief synopsis and told this guy to repeat what he just said to me, to my husband and handed him the phone. They had a brief conversation where he admitted overcharging for the reason he stated. I heard my husband say to him..."guy, it would be best if you just gave her the hundred." He knew I was on the launch pad and ready for lift off at any second. He said he never said that he wouldn't give me the refund. So that is over... I WIN! Later, this guy has the nerve to tell me he was an honest guy. My reply was that if you were such an honest guy... we would never have come to this day and you wouldn't be this embarrassed! If your going to be honest... be honest ALL the time. Your problem is that you forgot the lie you told me in the first place. And when you told me the truth... you did not expect I would have the nerve to back you down...! Do you think I should still report him to Corporate? I would be interested in any feedback.
Why not! That way he doesn't keep abusing other people and deceiving them!
ripped off
When doing my taxes, they told me that I would have an $8000 dollar return if I filled out a form as a first-time homebuyer. I said I was interested, so they charged me $200 for filling out the form. I sent it immediately. After tax day, I get a letter from the IRS saying that not only was the form filled out wrong, but that I was not even eligible for the credit. Needless to say, I went to the building and found it closed for the year. I talked to an office manager as she came out the back, and she said to call back to talk to the big manager and gave me a contact number. I have called 5 times with no response. No call back, either.
FRAUD!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I'm fairly sure you would know if you are a first time home buyer. Since the IRS decided you did not qualify, I am guessing you are not. Knowing this and turning in the form to get the credit is known as tax fraud. Sure the tax preparer screwed you, but you were trying to pull a fast one and got caught.
refuse to itemize
Mary the Franchise owner refused to list itemized deductions associated with moving expenses. She repeatedly informed us of how professional her business practices are and that she would not deduct moving expenses. Secondly, Mary refused to listen when specifically told her that we were not satisfied with her services. As she excused herself from our visit, she efiled our taxes without our permission and indicated that by law, she had to efile once our taxes were completed. It is estimated through a Certified Public Accountant, that Mary and her business cost our family over 1800 dollars by missing numerous other legal deductions.

lied to repeatedly
Went and made the mistake of having my taxes done by Libert tax service in Knoxville, Tennessee. My wife and I have to file an injured spouce allocation form 8739 due to a debt on my end. We both went in asking questions, and taking the neccesary precautions to make sure we: 1 wanted to know if we qualified for a RAL, and if so how long would the bank wait for our check to come to avoid Republic bank and it's collections department to need thier money back? Note: lie number 1. He states that being we are filing that form they would "understand the circumstances". I recieved my first "Demand to pay immediately to avoid further action" today. 2: We asked "How long in your experience do the 8739 form applicants have to wait comparitively?" Note: lie number 2 "In my experience 3 weeks to a month." To make a long story short, we filed on Jan. 25th, by feb. 6th, still no word on the RAL, or acceptance of the return. I did recieve 1 phone call from him Jan 28th stating: "The irs is having issues and we are not sure what is going on. We will call you and keep you updated". Fair enough, I didn't think too much of it. A week went by and still none of the above, so I called the IRS myself and according to them his EFIN number was expired/suspended/never issued. I did recieve confirmation on feb 7th that the RAL went through, do the math, 2 weeks for a 24-48 hr window to get that loan is how he explained it. I found out it went through by calling the bank and IRS wheres my refund site that they had been recieved after it had been rejected 6 times due to the EFIN number issue. I had to call this man myself and ask when i could come pick up the loan check, his receptionist stated they had a problem with the printer and it would be an hour and a half, and she would call me. Two and a half hrs went by, no call. My wife called again because i was all ready quite agitated all ready. she not only recieved a bad attitude but was also told "I told him to come get it"! Rediculous! Basically calling me a liar, after all the garbage i was being fed all ready. I know the 8739 form can take up to 8-12 weeks to process, granted. But here we sit 8 weekslater with an estimated 6 more weeks to wait. The only reason I am mad at this point is the lies from not just Liberty Tax, but the unproffesional demeaner of Republic banks collections agents. I have a friend in a similar spot having to file that 8739 form that did hers on Turbotax feb. 2nd, and has confirmation her refund is being direct depoisited Mar. 14th. So people i guess the moral of my story here is this. Don't pay other people to do your taxes, the loans are not worth having smoke blown at you, and to have these prepares point fingers at everyone else. I paid this man 400 dollars to do just that to me? If i was an idiot, all of this may have been acceptable. Unfortunately I am not, I have been in contact with the IRS, Republic bank, and liberty tax all along. Besides the man I spoke with today at Libertys corporate office, the IRS is the only information I have recieved that wasn't bogus. Please learn from my mistake people and don't waste your time or money trusting people who overcharge and lie constantly.

oved-charged me
I'm a single mom with 2 kids I claim 1 their father claims the other, my return took the lady 5 minutes to prepare she said the most id get charged would be $260.00 so I signed the papers without reading them because she "seemed" so nice, my fault I know. When I got home & actually read them she charged me $453.00 alone just for preparing my taxes & the total amount I was charged was $502.95! I spoke with a manager named Kelly & she was rude & said we'll sorry there's nothing I can do you signed so maybe you should start reading what you sign.

poor customer service and unlawful firing
I am writing because I was unlawfully fired from a liberty tax franchize owned by Chris Haynes. He owns several locations in South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. He is a poor person to work for and does not look after his employees. Once tax season is nearing to be up he fires most of his employees and holds their wages. I am very upset about thi...
