LiquorLand Australia lack of service

I spent a day and a half trying to ring your store at Port Lincoln 25/06/19 and 26/06/19.
In total 9 calls. Many simply ended after a very short time while others rang until they cut out? I rang national switchboard on the morning of the 25th and asked to check the number - it was correct. The woman said if I couldn't get a response to ring back and they would email the store, but they could not give me the address. Later in the day after more frustration trying to get through I rang national again - 18 minutes waiting time before I got another woman who said there was nothing that could be done and she couldn't email them to get them to ring me. In the end I have put my order of $300 worth of wines for I wanted to purchase for a fundraiser for hospital expenses for a local legend. Not impressed with the lack of response or the differing advice offered by the operators at national HQ.

LiquorLand Australia customer service

I went to your Edmonton store next to the Grafton Hotel. They have 2 lanes. One for service and one for stop n browse. I pulled up in the service lane n was greeted by a female. I wound the window down n asked her for a specific bottle of wine. She stood behind the counter n said I can't hear you! I was going to ask again, but instead, turned off my car and got the bottle myself! If this female had have come to my car she would've heard what I was saying. Of course she didn't hear me, standing behind the counter with the music blaring! No attempt was made to approach my vehicle at all! No other cars insight either! This is at liquorland drive thru next to the Grafton hotel in Edmonton Qld. Her name in Shannon! Extremely not at all happy with this service!

LiquorLand Australia power tripping "manager"

Worst experience i've had in a liquor store anywhere in the world. I (age 34) went in to the store with my wife (age 33) to buy a bottle of wine. Upon checking out, the manager (I didn't catch his name, but he was a rather rotund fellow) asked to see my id. Given that the drinking age here in australia is 18, this was a little silly, but whatever. He then asked to see my wife's as well, and she didn't have one with her. He said the law required him to check the id of everyone in the group (which I researched and found is not true) who looks under 25. While my wife and I are both youthful, neither of us looks under 25. I then remembered I had a scan of my wife's passport on my phone and showed him that. He said that he couldn't accept that, because he had no way of verifying the holograms, as if he had any idea what a hologram would look like on a u.S. Driver's license anyway. I said something to the effect of "are you really telling me that it's realistic that I happened to have a doctored scan of my wife's passport on my phone to buy a bottle of wine, when each of us is fifteen years over the legal limit to buy alcohol? He said"i've seen it happen, " which I know is not true. If I was going to go through that trouble, I would have just purchased the alcohol inside the store while my wife waited outside. At this point, it was clear to me that he was not merely doing his job, but flexing his muscle merely to be a jerk. I walked out at that point, and instead of coming back with my wife's id, resolved to buy the bottle of wine elsewhere. Stay away from this place, and spend your money at an establishment that doesn't hire petty men on power trips.

LiquorLand Australia customer service.

On Sunday, 9th June I attempted to go into The Liquorland store at Kings Cross, Sydney NSW 2011 right beside Coles. As I was walking in the entrance, the door was pulled down right in my face. Please check security cameras to verify that. I had been in the store the day before Sat 08/06 but I couldn't carry anything else because I had groceries from Coles in several bags. I am sure the man even REMEMBERED me as I had the SAME clothes on incl a Austn National Maritime Museum cap with "Captain" on the front of it. Anyway he made up his mind that he was going to push his trolley into the Coles store so "tough" about me as a customer. Upon his return when he finally allowed me into the store he told me that they were out of stock of Gordon's Gin 700mls. -Didn't know when the next delivery would be but possibly NOT for a few days. No apology offered. Deep down I think he even ENJOYED seeing how "ticked off" I was. Yes work & life must go on but has no-one ever heard of "service with a smile" ? I have worked in customer service, Human Resources, Customer Relations, sales & marketing so I well know how a staff member should "behave" & he DIDN'T do that. My forte was "lost business recovery" for an AIRLINE. You have most certainly lost me. I went into BWS down near Woolworths at Potts Point NSW & bought the same product. In fact 6 bottles totalling $234.00. I went back on Monday for some more as I well know that this is a good price. Liquorland was in fact $1.00 cheaper per bottle. Never ever, ever again Liquorland, Kings Cross NSW. Thank you but "no thank you".

LiquorLand Australia arrogant store manager at labrador on the gold coast.

Approx 4:45pm on the 5/5/19 we walked into the store at Labrador on the Gold Coast.
Our intention was to walk in purchase a bottle of Moet as a house warming for a friend who just purchased a unit not far from the store in question.

I walked in and there was one young staff member standing behind one computer and another service a customer. I got 3mtrs into the store with my 19 y/o daughter directly behind me and my wife following her.

The staff member who was serving immediately says "Just so there is no confusion how old is she, i want to see ID"

Taken back by this i turned around and said well actually she is 19 and is my daughter and as she is not purchasing anything you do not have to see her ID. We are here to purchase a bottle of Moet for a friends house warming.

He then replied "I don't care i want to see her ID" My wife proceed to take our daughter outside.

He served the women he was already serving i walked up and placed the bottle of Moet on the Counter and said i will have this thanks and just so you know the i could walk in here with a 5 y/o and it is not against the law as long as she isn't trying to buy anything.

He then replied "i don't care i have RSA and (mumbled another one) and i want to see ID"

In which i replied "sorry then but i don't care either i have RSA, (in fact i know the laws pretty well as we are in the process on getting a liquor license to manufacture) i said the law states basically that a minor can enter a liquor store when with a parent or guardian and doesn't need to show ID unless they are trying to purchase anything."

He then pushed the bottle back towards me and says "I am not ringing this up i now chose the right to not serve you due to disorderly conduct"

I asked on what grounds in which he replied "i will call the police now if you don't leave"

I told him please go ahead and ring them and we will see what the law states in relation to minors in the store.

This staff member could not handle being told he didn't know the laws and that he reacted inappropriately as soon as we walked in the store.

My wife came back in and said Paul can you please go outside and ask the staff member "Can you see how the way you treated us as soon as we walked in the door could get us off side" He said "yes i can and i apologise for that" My wife then said can you please just let us buy this and we will leave" His response was im not serving you either i chose not to serve you under disorderly conduct"

As my wife was talking to him a lady walked in with a id say 10 y/o girl. My wife asked him why didnt he ask her to show ID. his response was "She is obviously under age and wont be buying anything."

What is wrong is the way he pointed us out as we entered instead of waiting for us to do what we wanted to do and come to the counter. If he had of had good customer service he would have let us conduct our business and only ask for ID if my daughter tried to buy something. Which she wasn't going to all three os us where going into the store to see what bottle may have looked nice for our friend.

Instead he targeted us for some reason as soon as we entered. We are business people we have our own business and are in the process of opening another. Our daughter is a physic therapy student at Griffith Uni. We only drink good quality wine and Champagne that's when we do drink. We had not been drinking we just wanted to buy a gift.

I will attach a photo of the staff members name badge below and the store 36 Frank St Labrador, The staff members name was Darien.

Our son came past as he was going to the same house warming and purchased the bottle for us. Once he had done that i went into to show the law as written to the staff member who i found in the store room behind the counters on the phone with someone trying to cover his backside. I said can i please show you the law as written, "He said piss off im not interested"

The resolution of this would be a reprimand and a formal apology in person from this staff member and some education on how to treat customers. To be honest if he was my staff member i would be issuing a written warning and or dismissal from his employment.

I will never step foot in another Liquorland store. I will go to BWS or Dan Murphies where you are treated with a friendly nature and nothing but help.

My number is [protected] not that i expect a call from you.

LiquorLand Australia coles shopper docket

I shopped at Coles today and proceeded to Liquorland to use the shopper docket as attached to purchase a 6 pack of corona to be told that the corona product I wanted was not available on the docket. I do believe that the docket needs to be honoured or it is grossly incorrect in what it is stating.
I was after corona lifers not corona extra and the shopper docket just states 6x355ml corona bottles, it does not distinguish between variety of corona.
I am very disappointed in the outcome I had at the Liquorland store involved and would expect that the docket would of been accepted as corona is corona isn't it?

LiquorLand Australia non service

On the 20/03/19 I (a 51 year old woman) went into my local liquorland store with my 25 year old son. I asked my son to grab a bottle of spirits as he was closer and not holding any groceries. He placed it on the counter and I opened my wallet to pay only for my son to be asked for id. As I was the one purchasing he didnt have id. I explained it was my purchase but was refused the purchase. I need someone to explain the difference as of up to 6 months earlier any family could purchase this in the coles supermarket with clearly underaged children as this stores liquor was in the supermarket. Would love a response!

LiquorLand Australia service

When my wife and I went to the store to buy a 4 pack of beers, the bloody indian lady requests ids. I've provided my id, but my wife forgot to bring id. I told her can I come back later by myself after I dropped my wife at home. She said to me I have to bring both id in freaking rude way since she saw my wife and me. I am 33 years old and my wife is 29. That bloody freaking indian was saying about the law. But the law clearly states that I dont have to bring id if you are over 28. The lady doesnt understand law and not working professionally with appropriate attitude. The worst experience ever

LiquorLand Australia warners bay liquorland - customer service

Couple of issues I have with LiquorLand are stocking levels with promoted products offered on special. The second issue is customer service I have experienced.

Product special - Coles offer special promotions as part of their overall offering to attract shopper to their Supermarket. The promotion I refer to is now as the "shopper docket" LiquorLand specials - buy 6 pkt for $X.XX. These are usually and attractive offer but the issue is 90% of the time you go into a LiquorLand they don't have stock of the promoted product...effectively false advertising and trying to just get you in the store...pisses me off so much I am at a point I am thinking of changing my shopping pattern over to Woolworths as they offer same sort of special and their BWS normally has sufficient stock to cover the promotion.
Second issue is - Store Manager at Warners Bay shouldn't be in a customer service roll. Went to Warner Bay after doing the shopping walked past the "manager" around the corner sucking on a rollie cigarette. There was mayself and another guy standing at the counter before he decided to re-enter the store and service us as he was the only staff in store. Totally stunk of cigarette which is not appeal to start with then when I asked if they had the band listed on the shopper docket (twice) the reply was sold out and I should have come in yesterday...I did express they never have the special promotions and the responds was "not thing I can do about that"...!
Coles - what is your smoking in the workplace policy ? The area manager for this region needs to sort this store manager out if this is the example he is setting. I must say I have dealt with the younger guys and girls in this store and they have been good to deal with but from today I shall not be heading back until changes have been implemented as I have experienced the lack of customer service from the store manage prior so will be spending my share at other local liquor stores.

LiquorLand Australia unethical behaviour

Date: 4th or the 11th of June, 2018
Client number is unknown
Location: Mount Sheridan Plaza, 4868.

*please note I am just reporting this incident because my father does not understand the internet.

Full description of the incident:

Between 8am-9am an incident happened involving my dad, unethical behaviour was carried out by a liquorland staff member over where my father had parked (which was in the parent spot closest to the doors). Unprofessionally, this staff member called out from the parking lot questioning my dad about where he had parked. In my opinion, this staff member should not have taken it upon himself to address this 'issue' but more so centre management OR security if he was so concerned where dad had parked. My dad feeling uncomfortable from this staff member, he approached him to ask what his problem was, this staff member begin shouting abusive remarks in dads face such as 'you think you're entitled', calling him a dog and began saying he could fight, when all my dad asked was what his problem was. I must add that this staff member is to be in his early 40's, my father is a 70 year old man who suffers from emphysema, and that this is his morning routine, to park in that spot or else where to make purchases at Coles, staying no longer then 15 minutes.

LiquorLand Australia bianca. west gosford 2250

To whom this may concern,
I am a young bloke who is being bullied and/or harrased by an imployee (Bianca) at a store in west Gosford, NSW, 2250. On the 26th/4/2018. And also one previous date. I'm 19. Always have ID. She refused me service and tells my friend if he comes in with me again he will be barred for life... with no paper work. Because of a family dispute 4 years ago. I think this is very unprofessional. I would like to be able to buy alcohol with my friends for a weekend without being told to leave for absolutely no reason. The male colleague she was with agreed with her and laughed at thismatter. I'd appreciate appropriate action be taken. I don't want this to go any further. I await your response.
Kind reguards,
Matthew

LiquorLand Australia customer service

Hi,
I`m a regular customer of Liquor Land in Middle Park, qld 4074 and I live locally - I have visited middle park liquor land many times and one tall lady with very short hair with a visible tattoo on the right hand always ask me for the ID in a very very rude manner in front of many other customers. I`m dark in skin color and I get this really bad vibe that she is doing this on purpose being racial or some kinda thing. It did not worry or notice at the beginning but then I realize when she smile with other customers and treat them in good manner while treating me this irrespectable way. It came to the point that I don`t want to tolerate this anymore, and either I`ll have to stop going to the liquor land altogether or ? Can you please give me the feed back.

Thanks,
Lem

LiquorLand Australia service/unfairness/

Today 3/3/18 around 16:45(4:45 pm)I went to Inglewood liquorland ( liquorland civic hotel drive) got what I wanted and was waiting behind a guy being served... noticed that the sales person was distracted by one lady customer. As soon as the person infront of me was served I assumed I would be next but my existence there was just ignored and he just rushed off to help the lady look for what she wanted (I'm sure he couldn't miss me as I was standing there for a very long time ). Within few seconds they found what she wanted and walked towards counter ( he was still denying my presence) his body language was totally serving her first ( I couldn't believe it) but that girl had to remind him that I should be served first as it was only just ! This experience was really unbelievable and disappointing.

LiquorLand Australia service

Today I went to our local liquorland (Caversham, WA, Australia) with my 13 year old son. As I wasn't wearing my glasses I asked him to look for a particular brand which I asked him in my language (Malayalam). This conversation that had taken place in Malayalam which was interpreted by the staff member (Mel) as me buying alcohol for my son. Without even giving me a chance to explain what our conversation was about she wrongfully accused me of suppling alcohol to a minor. This act by the staff member showed great deal of prejudice as she made a hurtful accusation towards me . As a man of the law I have instilled values to my children, ones that do not tolerate drinking underage, but the act by the staff member was as if she was insulting my parenting skills. This is not the first time my family has undergone mistreatment and accusations done by the same staff member Mel.Last year my wife was accused by the same staff member of providing alcohol to my underage daughter when this clearly was not the case. If this isn't racial discrimination then I do not know what is. My entire family has undergone mistreatment by the same staff member simply due to the pretext of our Indian background.I am a very regular customer of this shop and was quiet happy with the service we used to get from other staff. The staff who was there today refused to serve me, I explained to her that he was only helping me to find my brand, and nothing else, but her opinion had clearly been made. We've gone to other shops such as Dan Murphy to purchase wine and have never been harassed by staff members for simply bringing our children and allowing them to talk. I felt not only offended by the staff's rude gesture today but as well as targeted. We require a personal apology from her.

7th February 2018 - incident occurred around 8:35-8:45 pm

LiquorLand Australia refusal of service

I am utterly disgusted and outraged regarding my stressful experience at Liqourland in Maryborough, Victoria yesterday, 27th January. I was attempting to buy some vodka cruisers. My mistake was to ask my 15 year old daughter if the flavours I chose were ok? This does not necessarily indicate they were for her but the sales person obvoiusly assumed they were for my daughter. I'm not denying that but I can't comprehend how a sales person has the right to take my choices as a customer and parent away from me! In my opinion I should be able to spend my money where and how I like! How dare my parenting be judged and myself made out to be liar! I am highly offended and insulted. My honest and upfront attitude obvoiusly served me no purpose on this occasion. This policy only encourages dishonesty and deceitful actions! After arguing with the sales person whom was steadfast in her poor decision and leaving the store, I asked my adult niece to purchase the cruisers for me. She was refused service by the same salesperson. Her reasoning being that my niece was 'standing' with us. Absolutely disgusted with this! I eventually was successful in purchasing the cruisers from this store as a friend bought them for me. Interestingly though, my friend had 2 children with her and was not questioned regarding who the alcohol was for! Now, where's the consistency in this policy? Given what this policy is attempting to achieve, shouldn't every customer be challenged with whom the alcohol is for? Further to this incident, I called the same store a few hours later curious to ask if the same sales person would allow me to make a purchase. She ( yes, the same sales person) said she would not serve me because she still believed I would be buying for my daughter! Well, my daughter wasn't with me and I just so happen to like cruisers too. How can this possibly be acceptable customer service? Where is the proof or belief that I'm lying! How dare she question my morals? She did however, say if I was to purchase a different product such as a slab of Canadian club then that would be different! Why? How does she know that my daughter doesn't drink this type of drink? What and who gives her the right to treat me like that? It's demoralising and demeaning. I'll also add that this salesperson is a repeat offender for upsetting customers and has complaints lodged about her lack of friendly and helpful customer service! I remain absolutely insulted, disgusted and offended. Not only does this intrusive policy encourage dishonesty and deceitful actions it also is significantly demeaning to customers! My freedom of choice is denied and my parenting is judged! This is not an acceptable way to treat customers. This sales person requires some education on her people skills, her scrutiny of customers and her lack of friendliness! If I ever return to this store I'll ensure to maintain the dishonesty that this ridiculous policy encourages!
