poor customer service
on the Tuesday [19/12/2017], my two nieces which are over 23 years of age visited Liquorland Melbourne Central. The cashier refused to service them because they did not have valid australian PASSPORT even though they showed the cashier their oversea identity. They respected the fact that their PASSPORT was required and left the store.
So, I decided to go into the store to make the purchase but the cashier refused to service me even though I advised her that I am 50 years old and have the right to make the purchase,
We did have a bit of a quarrel in a decent manner after I requested that I want to speak to the manager, she allowed me to make the purchase.
This whole ordeal took place inn front of another worker and the security. When I left the store, I did hear the cashier mumble something which I was told later that she said "50 years old but [censor] acts like a 10 year old}
So, you do please tell me where is the customer service in this
This is really unexceptable
liquorland esperance pathetic customer service
I hate complaining but this is not the first time it has happened. My partner and I there yesterday at 4.40 pm through the drive through. Through the window I could see a service lady stacking shelves. She made eye contact and then looked away and refused to serve. Obviously not her job. A minute later, my partner had to get out the car and serve himself. We were backed up to 4 cars deep by the time we managed to line up and pay. Not once during that time were we approached to see if we needed service. The manager of the store and all staff there are just useless and I cannot believe that Liquorland thinks that this sort of customer service is acceptable.
flawed execution of rules...
I was just in The Corso in Manly NSW. I am a 53 year old woman and I was with my 18 year old daughter. I got 1 bottle wine out of the fridge and as I was getting my wallet out of my bag I asked my daughter to pass me another bottle. When I was about to pay the shop assistant asked my daughter for ID. She didn't have it with her. He said he still needed ID even though I said I was buying the 2 bottles. I asked was it because my daughter touched the bottle and he said yes. I said I would put that bottle back which I did and he then proceeded to charge me for the bottle that my daughter didn't touch. Plus as I was putting the "touched" bottle back he asked my daughter did she drink wine. Her answer was no...Very embarrassing for her as she was just innocently helping her mother.
Very flawed interpretation and execution of rules.
1. It was obvious that we were mother and daughter.
2. If it was my intention to procure alcohol for a minor your shop assistant didn't prevent that as he still sold me one bottle.
As a regular customer I find this heavy handed approach insulting and suggestive of bad parenting.
If Liquorland are going to enforce a policy of demanding ID from people accompanying the person purchasing alcohol maybe they should make their stores a restricted area with only over 18's being able to enter the shop. The current ad hoc and inconsistent policy is insulting, demeaning and unnecessary for the majority of customers. Staff should be better trained in identifying risks and should not indiscriminately enforce this policy on customers who clearly do not pose a risk of procuring alcohol for minors. It seems Liquorland would rather risk insulting their customers in order to reduce their risk of breaking the actual law. They should not be taking the high moral ground and policing the way we buy alcohol from them if we are legally able to buy it, they are the ones making the big profits. Liquorland are using a hard handed discretionary policy to protect themselves.
rude behaviour
My complaint is about an employee named Adele from Liquorland South West Rocks. Someone in her position should treat every customer with respect and courtesy, which I have not seen from her. She is very abrupt and rude at times and makes going into Liquorland uncomfortable. I have also heard from other people saying the same thing. We are locals here and have lived in this area for 26 years and have never been treated with disrespect from any other place of business like she has shown us. I'm at the stage when I see her there I would rather shop elsewhere. This may fall on deaf ears, but I feel I should Tell Liquorland how one of their employees are treating their customers.
customer service
On Friday the 6th of October at approximately 2.57PM at Liquorland in Port Kennedy (WA) I entered the store. Upon entering I was asked for my ID which I was happy to oblige. I handed over my drivers licences to which the male assistant took and stared at before handing back to me. It was his manner in which he took the card and the way he spoke that made me feel uncomfortable it was as if he was trying to prove a point. After receiving my ID back I carried on with my shopping. As I made my way up to the counter I placed the items on the counter and was asked once again for my ID to which I once again gave my ID. I was very confused as to why I had been asked twice as I had already been asked upon entering but did not say anything.
I am very disappointed in the way I was treated. This is not the first time that this has happened at this store and especially by the first male assistant who served me. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and feel as though I wasn't welcome.
I will not be returning to this store again! This is my local store but if I am not going to be treated like a decent paying customer then I am willing to go somewhere else that will treat me like one! The management should be ashamed of the people that they hire here as they are downright rude!
supply of specials
5/9/17 and 4/9/17 . When trying to purchase an advertised special, only part of the special was available ( 1 bottle of Pepperjack + 2 bottles of Saltrams 1859 shiraz for $40 ) . I was told on the 4/09/17 that the 1859 had run out and were waiting for the order to come in on Tuesday afternoon . Which was also the last day of the special . On my return on the tuesday afternoon of the 5/09/17 a delivery had been made, but, minus any 1859 shiraz apparently . If you cannot supply these specials, don't offer them . Or at least offer something else as replacement . This isn't the first time you have let me down, but I can tell you it will be the last time !

banning the wrong person
Yesterday we went to liquor land in corio and the banned my nephew for something that happened last week when he only just moved here Tuesday night and they were rude and even said they would not apologize for there mistake for blaming someone that was not even in the same town of theft I mean come on so now the person that really stole from u is walking into your shop doing it again instead u ban wrong person
rude behaviour
Today at 1545 Liquor land Kalamunda I walked into the store with my husband.
We had a chat he and I, then I went to the bank next door.
Godfrey went on to purchase 6 bottles of wine as he does frequently.
I came back to find Godfrey had completed his purchase and was probably waiting in the car at the rear of the store.
I went to exit the rear door and a young man by the name of "Brendan" (I think) said to quote "Nice through fare is it?"
I was shocked, this was said in a very rude, disturbing and bullying manner.
I was speechless and just walked out.
I am sure this is not what your store in Kalamunda management expects of its staff, in the treatment of your clients.
I am incredibly disappointed, we have been your clients for over 20 years.
I await your thoughts on this behaviour

toms tavern liquorland staff are filthy power tripping [censor]
My friend who is 19 goes to buy herself some wine, however her license had just expired that week and she hadnt yet received a new one, and because of this, she was turned away. So she comes back and so i decide to buy her wine for her, i am 24 years old with a current ID and thought i had the right to buy a bottle of wine. But because the staff member saw her and i together earlier, I was also refused service because of "suspicions of intent to distrbute". Which in any other case it is perfectly acceptable but this particular incident, i thought this man was on some kind of power trip. It might be fair enough not to sell to my friend whose license had expired but her age was proven with 2 photo ID (a license and a student card) even if the official photo ID had just expired its not like her [censor]ing birthday is going to change. But still acceptable to turn her down. However, as a 24 year old woman, who has an over 18 year old friend who was only turned down because of an expiry date, I should have been allowed to buy the alcohol. She wasnt even in the shop when i tried. Even just in true australian spirit and for customer service sake.. i shouldn't have been turned down. So [censor] you liquorland. You have lost my patronage for life... even if im desperate i refuse to come to you. Funny thing was i drive 100m down the road to dan murphys and they didnt even need to check my ID. Tell your staff to clean themselves up. This clerk had filthy long hair, an untrimmed beard and looked like a bum.
I wish to retract this statement about Toms Tavern Liquorland staff
customer service
Today I went into your Winmalee Liquorland store to purchase a case of XXXX for ANZAC day tomorrow. It was at approximately 1pm when I arrived at the store with my friend.
My friend has been shopping at your Winmalee store regularly for the last 5 years.
On this particular occasion both my friend and I presented out ID to the cashier by the name of Helen. She advised me that my ID card had a split in it from where it sits in my wallet. Helen asked her manager who was at the registers too if the ID could be accepted. The manager of the store told Helen that it was fine to accept it as she had personally served me before, although next time I will need to have a new form of ID. I agreed and advised that I would get a new ID when I get paid next.
Helen then responded by saying "but you have money to waste here now?"
I explained to Helen that I had borrowed the money off the friend who was with me to get the drinks and that the money I was spending wasn't being wasted.
Helen then responded with "yes it is being wasted"
Helen then proceeded to ask me if I was on the dole in front of other customers. I responded by saying yes I was and that after I had paid my bills and my unexpected vet bill this week that I was short on money. (Hence why my friend lent me the money today)
Helen rudely responded announcing still in front of other customers that my dole money should still be spent on more wiser things than alcohol.
I feel as though I was very unfairly treated. I chose to shop in your store expecting to be greeted and treated in a friendly manner not interrogated about me personal financial details from one of your workers.
I wanted to purchase one of your products to enjoy, not be told by one of your employees that my money was being wasted.
I feel as though Helen was out of line by questioning me the way she did about my personal life and my financial situation and I unfortunately will not be shopping at your store again because of this.
It hurt my feelings to know that your employee viewed me as a dole bludger who prioritises alcohol over anything else, and was happy to announce it in front of other customers. I left your store feeling nothing but embarrassed and discriminated against.s
refused to accept my sons id
Today my son (who's 18) decided to purchase some alcohol for a family get together. The occasion being the anniversary of his pops death. He went up to the counter with his purchase (a 6 pack heineken beer), the employee (who's name was Andrew) then asked for ID (a over 18 keypass card WHICH, clearly states his date of birth and also has a very recent legal photo on it), which my son pulled out straight away. This ID was refused by the employee, we informed him that the same ID was used at another Liquorland store which was accepted. My son got quite upset and left. I then tried to purchase the beers for him as well as my own purchase, the employee allowed me to make me own purchase but refused to sell me the beer "as I would be supplying my son". After a big arguement with the employee, he informed me I could make a complaint (hence this message). I left the store feeling extremely angry and humiliated.
During the course of the day I researched exactly what the over 18 keypass card is, and it does permit the holder to purchase alcohol. I for one will not be purchasing anything from that particular store ever again.
As I have explained in my original complaint, the Keypass Id (over 18) card can be used to purchase alcohol. My sister has anonymously contacted Liquorland via their Facebook page and the Keypass card can be used to purchase alcohol. I don't know where in the states you are, but here in Australia it can be used for this purpose except WA. I'm actually in Adelaide.
refused to provide service
I am 42 year old man from Nepal, on 8th of April 2017 around 1pm I attended liquorland Mandura with my two friends who are 32 and 28 years old at LiquorLand Mandurah, 1 3 Dower St, Mandurah 6210 WA.
We are trying to buy a carton of Ashi beer and a bottle of Chivas whisky.
There was two lady working at the store who demanded for my ID which I produced. After that they refused to sell the products in very rude and in unprofessional manner because my friends are not carrying any IDs.
I felt very uncomfortable with their behaviour and sock with they level of unprofessionalism.
They clearly don't have any knowledge about liquor regulation and lack customer service training.
I am very disappointed with Liqourland and the way they provide service and hiring employees who lack baisc understanding of regulations and no customer service.
Additionally to that I observed they are serving other customers without even asking for there Identifications. This is a clearly a discrimination.
service
This evening I attended the Taigum store to purchase some wine, I was accompanied by my child. The wine I was looking for was out of stock so I browsed the store for an alternative and settled on a bottle of wine for my wife and attended the counter where I handed over the bottle and asked if the attendant if they were out of the wine I was after. The attendant asked my child for ID! I said I'm buying the wine not my child to which the attendant said we were obviously shopping together and refused me service. I asked what was the alternative? Leave my child in a car I front of a pub alone? The attendant said it was the law...Rubbish! The child was in the company of an adult in a licences premises. The irony is I could have driven through the drive through with my child in the car and it wouldn't have been an issue. When I said that to the attendant he said well not to toight! Idiot I was illustrating a point!
Treated disgracefully I front of my child and embarrassed in front of customers.
Because of 1 over zealous employee you have lost a loyal customer...BWS is just down the road I will enjoy shopping there and at the local woollies instead of Coles.

Date of incident:16/03/2017
I live in Kalgoorlie, my local liquorland is across the road from me. i entered in to your premises to buy a bag of ice, i arrived home and my girlfriend asked to get a carton of beer as we have a party the next night and we both work shift work, i entered your store again to buy a carton of beer where a staff member rudely approached me and informed me that i could not buy anything else from your store as i had bought ice 10 mins prior. I questioned him straight away and asked and was abruptly told that is was "new" rules in store, i told him that i did not buy alcohol previously so i had not been served alcohol twice to which he just informed me that, that was it new rules.
I did not catch his name as i was so mad that i had to go to another bottle shop to get what i needed.
There was no signage up on the door or inside stating these "new" rules.
I am disappointed at the customer service i received, and might suggest that maybe customer service training maybe provided to this particular staff member. (Hannans 6430)
In conclusion i will not be buying any thing from this particular again, which is a shame as the rest of the girls there are very nice.
caroline springs liquorland
Shocking treatment at Caroline springs liquorland today. Comfortable to say i will be telling everyone I know not to buy from liquorland ever again. I go in to buy a bottle if white wine. So I get to the counter and my 19 year old son is behind me. Anyway the checkout then asks if we want to buy any of the drinks for ten dollars. Knowing my son enjoys ale i askd him if he wanted one. Then the he asks for his id which he didnt have so i said okay thats fine will just take my wine and he refused because he said my son might drink it. Since when was a parent not allowed to purchase alcohol in front if their child? So embarrassed.
very similar thing happened to me at Liquorland Rosebud.
Very bad management and rude manners
Will never shop there again.
customer service
Daniel from budgewoi liquorland showed no customer service and was extremely discrmative. I have a vail form of ID which was refused. My license had expired in 2016.
I feel as though he made me to feel like a idiot in front of a whole shop telling me I was wrong. He then made a remark saying that i could of been a older sister which was unessery Daniel needs to re do is RSA as he is unware of the correct rules.
north lakes store. disgusting service.
Customer service complaint!
North lakes store
I recently attended your establishment in north lakesand am disgusted in the service provided. The customer before us purchase a $55 dollar bottle of vodka which meriska the staff member was concerned was for the minor outside. The gentleman explained those were his kids and they had just finished shopping and were waiting outside the store. A light hard joke was made that he would not spend this amount money on his kids anyway to light the mood. Meriska appeared to be angered by this and when she served us did not greet us and was hostile. She scanned our item then threw the scanner on the counter. Was not asked for our fly buys. I told I acknowledge that she was annoyed by her customer but she cut me off and said bye as the transaction was completed and paid for. This is not on we were not even the customers that up set her.
liquorland
Me and my friend been to Liquorland this morning after billing and all even I paid money also then the storekeeper asked me for my photos ID even though we go there regularly. Till now no one asked me. I asked him why means he answer is shocking. He didn't asked ID from any other except us. Everything was recorded on the cameras. Storekeeper behaving like racist. Felt very bad after this incident..

Liquorland Liverpool
As an adult, I understand that to purchase alcohol I need to provide evidence of my age. No problem with that.
My complaint is about the fact that COLES LIQUORLAND demands anyone else in attendance to prove their identity also.
I am buying the product, I am responsible for what is being purchased.
My kids, friends, partner or my dog doesn't need to prove anything if they are around or near me as I AM the one that is purchasing the product.
If it is clear and evident that I'm buying for a minor then by all means decline the sale.
I simply walked into the shop, with ID (Im 37). My partner who was walking the dog decided to join me at the shops and didnt bring her ID (she is 29) and they said because she came in with me, she has to prove her ID or they can't sell me the alcohol.
Most stupid nanny drive policy I have seen.
We are on holidays with the family in Victoria staying in kilmore. My son who has been served in the kilmore liquorland couple of day's prior (wasn't asked for ID)was refused service yesterday at about 3pm because he was asked for ID and when he took out his licence was told sorry we don't except QLD licenses... WTF my son is 20 on his P's and had photo ID.
So does that mean Queenslanders cannot use their ID (licence legal photo identification ) in liquorland... How frigging stupid. Ohhhh and when the guy looked at my son's license at first he said we need an Australian License your's isn't... My son had to tell him it was a QLD License. Think this guy needs some training. So anyway we had to go elsewhere to buy our supplies
