Being an LWM regular customer for more than 10 years, I have never asked for a cancellation of purchase until recently. I have purchase several treatments, costing me a lot of money. But I didn't complain.
Recently when I went for one of my treatments, I was surprised with a free (complementary) trial because it was LWM's anniversary. After the treatment, I was pressured to sign up a RM9000 package for 5 times cold Cryo Treatment (cold).
To entice me to sign up, they offered an additional 5 time of hot Cryo treatment, and a free hot Cryo treatment to complement the trial cold Cryo treatment that I just had.
Later, I decided that I wanted to cancel the order. However, I was met with a lot of resistance. And I was told to pay for the 'free trial' cold Cryo treatment which cost RM1500.00.
To add salt to injury, LWM charged me 6% of interest for interest-free cancellation (RM540), and administration charges (RM50).
According to my credit card bank, they informed me that the interest charged to merchant must be borne by the merchant and not passed down to the purchaser.
As a purchaser, I allowed myself 72 hours to decide, after which I informed LWM of my decision to cancel.
I do not know what the outcome is at present as they want me to sign an agreement to the above mentioned amount totaling RM2090 to be deducted from the RM9000 paid. Otherwise, they 'cannot proceed'.
Isn't this blackmailing or coercion?
Desired outcome: Please refund the total amount paid via credit card entry.
