On Tuesday, April 14, 2009, the Lukoil service station on Stelton RD in South Plainfield, NJ pumped 5 gallons of water into my fuel tank instead of 5 gallons of fuel. My car suffered extensive damage and the total menetary costs were over $1, 200.00. I am searching for people who also had the same problem.
I filled up with regular gas.I could not see the amount of gallons purchased. The gas attendant said I owed $25.76 .I gave him cash of a twenty dollar bill and a five.I received 20 some cents back.I told him that $25.00 cash is way too much for 8.8 gallons at $244.9 a gallon.I saw the gas price and it was $21.76.I told him that he over charged me by $3.00.He insisted he gave me $3.00 back.I said you didn't.I told him the point is I would have given him$ 21.76 because I had ones.I told him he lied about the price. He changed the subject over and over.It was about 600 PM on a Friday night. There were no other customers at the time.He stood by my car and was close to me and my purse.I continued to say he owed me money.I got no where.I said I would not buy gas there again. He kept insisting I had the $3.00.I said why did you lie about the price? I felt invaded and I was scammed. As I pulled away I recalled that this happened at the same station before.I was told more than the amount due because I could not see the price due to sun glare. I did at that time make an effort to see the price. He laughed that he was joking.
I have been taken. He was close to my door with the window down..there was nothing I could do.I want my money back.
My wife purchased gas at a Luk Oil gas station in Park Ridge 2 Sundays ago and the it almost immediately caused the car to stall, not run properly and stall. We had the car towed to our East Coast Toyota dealer in Carlsdadt NJ and they provided us a report stating contaminated gas and a $900 bill. The Bergen Count Weights & Measures were notified and after being informed on the following Wednesday, decided not to inspect the station until the following Thursday (one week, one day leter) and claim that everything at the station was fine. My dealer insists that the invoice provided to me along with a fule sample is our legal proof.
Hello! I have the same problem! :( Don't remember exact station but it was one of the first Lukoil station in NJ after you pass Washington Bridge. I tank full my car there, I was able to start but after 2 sec car suddenly went off! Somehow after 5 min of trying i was able to start and come back on my route. I went to Hunter - to ski that day. Late afternoon when I was getting ready to go back to NY I wasn't able to start my car. I had to be towed to the nearest auto shop for the repair! I had my fuel pump changed which cost me over $450 with the labor and what more... Omg
Two days after (Thru - today) I can't start my car again ! I fell very bad, pissed off and angry, I am taking my car to another mechanic tomorrow - and will see what he is going to tell me :(
People is there any way to sue Lukoil? To get at least something from them? This is horrible experience I have had over the past few days - and so much money, and the story it's not finished yet :( Unfortunately I have no proof that I was fueling my car over there :( And that was my last time I was fueling my car at LUKOIL - LAST TIME !
I would like to add that the bad fuel wasn't removed from the tank, and it might be the cause that my can't start again now. But the thing is that I told my story to the car mechanic and he suppose to do everything to fully repair my car. He changed the fuel pump, it helped - I was able to came back to the NY, but as I said - after two days (with the same fuel in tank- didn't add anything - since this fatal NJ's fueling) I am unable to start my car again :(
