So, I bought an iPad 8th Generation from MajorMobiles and boy was I disappointed! They sent me a US model instead of a UK one. No paperwork, no warranty, nothing. I mean, what kind of service is that? I was so angry that I reported them to trading standards and Pay Pal.
Now, I know that some of you might be thinking, "What's the big deal? It's just a plug." But let me tell you, it's not just a plug. Under the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994, it's actually a criminal offence to place on the market or supply in the UK an appliance that's not fitted with either a UK 3-pin plug or a non-UK plug permanently fitted with a UK safety-approved conversion plug.
And it's not enough to just provide a 3-pin plug adapter or to make the origin of the appliance clear on the product detail page. A loose adapter in the box in which the product is supplied is not sufficient either. You have to have the right plug fitted to the appliance.
I mean, come on MajorMobiles, get your act together! You can't just send out products that don't meet UK safety standards. It's not only illegal, but it's also dangerous. And the possible sanctions for breaching these regulations are fines and/or imprisonment.
So, if you're thinking of buying from MajorMobiles, I'd think twice. They clearly don't care about their customers' safety or satisfaction. Stick to a more reputable retailer and save yourself the hassle.
