Patrick was exceptional in every aspect of his service and attention to detail. He listened to my areas of interest, and responded with a thorough explanation covering the key details without glossing over, or covering up important details. I had the option of purchasing my plan with another outside representative, but after conversing with Patrick my mind was made up. I knew that he would provide me with superior service, and he has.

He provided all the information I needed to make my decision and purchase and easy and informed one. At this time of year, it is very exhausting trying to make sure you are covered in a reliable, trustworthy insurance company that gives good service. I found that and more when I contacted Manhattan Life. I was assured the agent was listening; took time to explain the process; answered my questions with poise, understanding, and respect. It was my pleasure to work with a GOD sent representative. I immediately recommended him to a co-worker feeling exhausted too! He didn't let me down, thanks for hiring him.

I contacted Manhattan Life when I was getting close to my 65th birthday looking for information
on a Medicare Health Supplement plan. I received an E-mail almost immediately from an agent
of Manhattan Life. Even though it took a while to finally talk to Patrick on the phone, we completed my sign up right away and was finished within about 20 minutes.
I was very impressed with how easy everything was to get done.
I highly recommend at least talking to someone to get the information you may need to get yourself or a loved one set up for this.

I can only speak to my experience with my agent Patrick, he was informative and generous with the information needed to make an educated decision as to the type of insurance I was interested in. Patrick was one step ahead of my questions with specific and exact information during the information and decision process.

We were glad to get Martin as our customer service
We were glad to get Martin as our customer service agent. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I already have the plan G with Manhattan Life and Western Life and am very pleased with how it works so now it is time to help my wife Bonnie get Medicare and the best Medigap insurance. Martin knew immediately what to help with and the right questions and right away we got Bonnie's application in. Martin also volunteered to help Bonnie when it comes time to find the best Plan D drug coverage even though they don't even sell that kind of policy.
We are glad we were connected to Martin. Before this call we were reading and asking different people and getting nowhere with the Medicare information.Thank you Martin and Manhattan Life.
I really have liked my Manhattan Life
I really have liked my Manhattan Life. Medicare Supplement policy I have had for several years. However every year expenses have gone up and am shopping for a lower price on my Manhattan supplement. After going online and leaving information for someone to contact me, I heard today from Martin Jefferson who was most helpful, very nice, and patient with me and not pushy in providing me with a Manhattan supplement Plan G. It sounds so good and is very much like I have now, and very much more affordable for me. I really liked the way he explained the plan G to me and am hoping I can get this Plan G for this upcoming year 2020 starting January 1st. I pay $244.+ each month now which is too much for me since I have a low Social Security income. I'm looking forward in continuing with Manhattan on this new plan G. Thank you, Tessa G. Edmondson.

They keep making excuses: asking for more paperwork, saying they're understaffed because of COVID. It seems like their goal is to drag out claims so that customers eventually give up. I don't suggest going with this company.
This company is a rip-off
This company is a rip-off. You pay your premium, but they don't want to pay when the time comes. They have more excuses for why they won't pay. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and not helpful. I am going to spread the word about this company on every social media platform I can to stop them from stealing money from hardworking folks. I would give you no stars, but the site requires me to give at least 1.
So, here's the deal
So, here's the deal. I had two policies with Manhattan Life Group, Inc., one for work disability and one for hospital indemnity. I decided to cancel the disability policy because I wasn't working anymore, but little did I know that they canceled both policies. I only found out later that they had been canceled since January 1. So, I asked for a refund of all the premiums I paid for the hospital indemnity policy because they were still taking money from my account. The person I was dealing with left the company before they could send me my last check, and now they're giving me a hard time about it. It's been almost two years, and I still haven't received my last premium. I've made countless phone calls, repeating my personal info to different reps, but it's like they can't do anything to help. I can only imagine what would've happened if I actually needed the hospital indemnity with the kind of service I've gotten. It's just too much of a hassle to get anything resolved, with all these reps asking for my info and still not being able to fix the problem. This whole thing has been so frustrating and tiring. I definitely won't be using them again for life insurance or any other policy they offer.

If I could give them a 0... I would. The worst experience I've ever had with any company in my 54 years of living. I've been paying my disability policy for 11 years with this company. I had foot surgery on 7/15/22, today is 8/19/22, and I still haven't received one cent. I've called over 5 times, I've even cried to them because my lights were cut off due to them not sending my payment. There were a few pages that needed to be signed, so there was a delay, which I understand, but if I didn't call, I never would have known that. They didn't call, send an email or anything, saying they mailed out a letter stating what is needed, and still I haven't received the letter, so that was a lie. I called today and I was told that they only sent half of the $1,500, which is $750, because I filed workers' comp, which I absolutely didn't file workers' comp, and if I did, it doesn't show anywhere in my policy that I would only get half of the payment. They said it was the workers in the approval department that made the mistake. Now I have to wait probably another 2 weeks just to get the other half. Now the customer service reps that I spoke with were amazing, if they could have cut the check for me, they probably would have. I truly believe the department that approves the claims are young and really don't care that people need their money, and just sit claims to the side for weeks before they even start on them. I see that the company has an A+ at the ComplaintsBoard.com but it should be an F. I will be sending this same long letter to ComplaintsBoard.com today as well. I would cancel my policy, but I have invested so much money until it will be a loss. I wonder if I could file a lawsuit to get at least half of my 11 years of payments back, because I see now that if I ever need to use them again I would be without for over a month when it's supposed to be 2 weeks for payments to start. So if you want to have your LIGHTS cut off, no Food, your Bills to be behind then, get a DISABILITY Policy from them, and good luck if you ever need to use it.

I am a senior citizen. I did NOT authorize Manhattan Life to enroll me and set up automatic withdrawals from my bank account. I was searching for supplemental medicare that was mandatory in 2018. I did no select Manhattan. My wife is now joint on my bank acct and acquired about the withdrawals of $31 every first week of every month since 2018. They have been stealing my money from me and even causing my account to get overdrawn. We put a stop on any future withdrawals on our account and disputing the past two years worth of monthly charges that were not authorized. You cannot speak to a human at their phone number ***030. The options that they give do no apply to me, so there is no way for me to talk with them. Stay far, far, far away from this company! I cannot even log onto my account because I never opened. If there is one opened in my name, it is without my consent.

In January , I got cancer, like the bad kind called Merkel cell cancer. I had this policy thingy with Manhattan Life that was supposed to protect me from cancer, but guess what? They didn't wanna pay up, even though my doctor wrote a letter saying, "this tumor is like super aggressive melanoma and should totally be covered by insurance." Like, come on, the policy covers melanoma and stuff. My policy number is ***. Can you believe this?

On January 9th, I got the Covid 19. After waiting for 14 days, I started a claim with ML. On 2/26, they paid for the time from 1/19 to 3/1. I hadn't gone back to work yet and still under a Doctors care, I sent in a continued claim, Attending Physicians Statement, office visit, and phone visit notes from doctors to show that I still had problems with Covid 19. After more than a month with no contact, they sent an email on April 5 saying my claim form was incomplete. I contacted them and they told me that the documents the Dr. sent had changes, so they called the doctors office and confirmed that I didn't change the documents and that it was a mistake on the Doctors part. They said everything was fine and to give the claim time to process. Then I got a voicemail saying they need a medical necessity note again. They should have asked the Dr. when they were on the line with him. I'm still very sick and don't have energy to work.

I had a surgery on my left foot on Oct 11, 2019. Manhattan Insurance paid me until January . I retired on 12/31 and I thought I wouldn't qualify for more insurance payments because of that. But in May , someone informed me that I should still be receiving payments until my doctor releases me. So I called Manhattan Insurance on 5/7 or 5/8 to let them know. They told me it would take 30 days for them to make a decision. I called again on June 13th and spoke with Helen ***. She told me to send in my retirement papers and a continuation form from my doctor. They said they would give me my backpay for January to February . Then on July 10, they paid me from February until March. I asked them why they didn't give me my full back payments and they said they needed to get my medical records from my doctor. I called my doctor's office and they haven't sent a request for the records yet. I need help because they are not honoring their word or their contract. I paid into the insurance company for about 4 1/2 years and now I can't get the pay that I originally signed the contract for. Helen ***, who is a supervisor or lead, told me I would get back pay, but now she won't talk to me. She gave me false information and won't explain why they are holding up my backpay.
