Purchased a hotpoint top loader order ref so125083920230520 end May 23.
After 16 washes, it developed a problem.
Marks makes it really difficult to complain, complaints are directed to a no-reply email address.
As per rights under Consumer Rights Act, I requested a refund because I meet the conditions for one.
Marks refused and kept trying to fob me off with manufacturers warranty, which I'm not interested in because I'm entitled to a refund.
Despite declaring that I have a life threatening medical condition and am not well enough for protracted debates, they tried to draw me into ingoing debates by pestering me with the same arguments I'd already countered.
Am now preparing a claim in small claims court, something I'm having to do on top of crippling brain tumour symptoms. Meanwhile I'm without a machine in UK winter and in fragile health.
Marks Electrical has no humanity and treats its customers with contempt. They also try to censor negative reviews.
Almost bought a fridge from them in Aug, thank god I dodged that bullet.
Avoid this company like the plague.
Desired outcome: County Court Judgement in my favour
Hi there
I am in a very similar scenario at present. What seems like a slam dunk case of a faulty unit which is only a few months in operation ME are fobbing me off to the manufacturer.
Can I ask how you got on with your issue and did it go to Small Claims Court?
Cheers
