Matrix was a pleasure to work with during our Finished Basement project. From the initial consultation through the completion, we were able to easily communicate and collaborate. Our Project *** was easy to get a hold of, quick to resolve any questions or concerns we had throughout the project. All subcontractors were professional, friendly and easy to work with. We are absolutely thrilled with the final project. Our basement is now the highlight of our home with space for the whole family and guests. We love the specialized features including hidden bookshelves and television/fireplace build out. Thank you for a wonderful experience and amazing finished basement.

We are very pleased with the result of our tub and shower upgrade. The product look and quality of the installed tub and fixtures are as we had hoped and expected they would be. The installation crew did an excellent job for us. The crew kept me informed as they progressed through the job. My questions were answered clearly, and the suggestions provided throughout the installation were spot on. The clutter was kept to a minimum and the finished worked was cleaned as I had hoped. The work timeframe was exactly what Matrix sales had promised. We upgraded to a jacuzzi type of tub for our personal relaxation, the finished tub and shower provides what we had planned to achieve. I would recommend matrix home solutions.

We hired Matrix to finish our basement. Matrix has been one of the best choices we made for upgrading our house. They have been professional, efficient, and reliable. The work they have done and the manner in which the project has been executed has far exceeded our expectations. We referred Matrix to 2 friends who booked with them right away. We were especially impressed by the regular communication, access to the schedule/calendar and photos, as well as the stellar project manager ***. If something was off track, or if a member of the team missed anything, we hardly noticed because *** was there to inspect the entire project from start to completion and would troubleshoot on our behalf. We highly recommend Matrix!

I have to admit things started off a bit rocky. Matrix had to reschedule our initial meeting a few times.. and when we finally had our first meeting, their sales tactic felt a bit aggressive. That said, working with Matrix has been insanely easy. Brian D provided us with great solutions to our layout issues, and our Project Manager Daniel was super responsive and knowledgeable. Even with all the projects he was managing, he always made us feel like we were on top of the list. Our team of subcontractors were all experts in their respective trades. Specifically, our carpenters, Oscar and Romero were amazing! Their attention to detail was impeccable. We are just a few days from completion, and I cannot wait to start furnishing our new living space. Thanks Matrix for making our vision come to life! With Matrix, you get what you pay for... quality work and a seamless process!

We chose Matrix because of the reviews we saw online. My wife did some thorough investigation into the company before chose out contracting company. They were great to work with from the beginning. Our sales rep *** was friendly and delivered what he promised. At each step we worked with good people who delivered information or product. The communication was great and we really appreciated the app that allowed us to see in real time what was being done and when. *** our project manager was exceptional. He was in constant communication with us and met our expectations at every turn. When he promised us a contractor would be there, they were. From start to finish we worked with good trades that delivered a quality product in a reasonable time frame and were professional. There was very little interruption to our lives or our main living area. We would highly recommend this company.

We had a basement stuck in the 70's. After 15 years of talking about getting a face lift, we had several people come by to see what they could do.Most offered options we did not like. Matrix spent a few hours going various options. Options we were not offered or even thought of by the others. The industrial ceiling they mentioned peaked our interest. ***s were great. Professional. Courteous. ON TIME! The Painters were great. Always open to questions, and always asked us for our input *** manager was always available for an update and always communicatd any changes. The Finished product looked exactly like the computer rendered drawing. After an initial hiccup in starting the project, the projected timeline was laid out and only took a week longed then anticipated, due to supply issues. My wife and I are very pleased with the finished project. . With ANY company - DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

Prepare for the hard sell technique. When I contacted *** to get a quote for a basement remodel, everything seemed normal. However, the used-car salesman techniques started coming out almost immediately. I should have picked up on it. They had a scripted pitch that they wouldn't budge from. The provided sketchy and irresponsible financial advice on how to pay for the remodel. They remodel quote was at about triple what others quoted. Then they wouldn't leave. I told them that we had to leave at 4:00, but they wouldn't leave. As I left, he stayed and tried to get my wife to sign off of the ridiculous price. After he left, the phone calls and text messages started coming. I'm not sure about the quality of work they do because we didn't use them to finish the basement. However, if you want to use them, then (1) prepare for the used car salesman techniques and (2) get quotes from other contractors/builders as ***'s price was, in my opinion, outrageous. "

Matrix Basement Finishing Systems created a great area for our family and friends to enjoy. Their quality of work and professionalism is superb, and they completed our basement on time and on budget! We were really impressed with their overall quality of work and attention to detail. Their lead supervisor Victor was attentive and engaged throughout the entire project to ensure each facet of the job was not only finished but completed correctly. Temo, our lead installer was excellent in his approach to everything from framing the walls, installing the doors and cabinetry, and installing the window and drywall. Also, their electricians and plumbers did a great job and were always on time and met their required schedules. Overall, we are incredibly pleased with the entire project as each team member was professional, thorough and courteous. The quality and workmanship typified their dedication in ensuring customer satisfaction. Matrix is a great contractor, provides quality workmanship, and we are very satisfied with our finished basement!

My wife and I decided it was time to finish our basement to have extra space so that we could have family and friends over to entertain and enjoy it for years to come. After quoting with a number of companies, Matrix Basement Systems clearly was the company to choose. We had a basic idea of what we where looking for but with Matrixs design help really brought it to life, showing how it would look in a 3D image we where able to see and make changes easily, most importantly it gave us peace of mind how our basement was going to look when completed. Their builder trend app shows you very stage of the project work, material deliveries and the flexibility to plan ahead. I wanted to highlight *** our field manager, he was available to us 7 days a week to answer any questions we had and always responded back within minutes. His customer service skills and professionalism is second to none, he listened to our questions/concerns and was able to walk us through solutions or explain things that again gave us peace of mind, more importantly made us feel he was looking out for our best interest. Every contractor group involved where extremely great to have in our home, I work from home so spent some time with them while they worked.The transformation of our basement is jaw dropping. Truly mean it, we have had friends and family over, all where amazed at the top notch high quality job Matrix did for us. Certainly will recommend Matrix to anyone thinking of remodeling their basement

I made a mistake and signed the contract. Then I looked in detail and asked the questions that I asked all of the other bath contractors I had over. This time I did not ask in time. If you go with Matrix, you will pay min 30% more than if you found a local contractor. Also if wait past the three days and want to cancel you will have to pay 30% of the total jobs as the cancellation fee even though nothing was done. I did not even do the confirmation call so they can order the product. There was miss communication about the loan. also, the interest rate is 7-10% for up to 180month but they got the payment to what we wanted. They talked about transparency, but I asked for a ballpark breakdown of labor, materials, and overhead. They could not be provided or they would have to charge me it is package pricing, not even ballpark % a verbal would have been fine. Seems like the more questions I asked the more non-answers I got. Prepare for the 3 hours with them do not take the first crazy amount they will discount and discount and discount at leased my sales rep was quick with them it was only an hour then the call to the boss for the final discounts to the point where you get it at a cost where the sales guy said he made no money HAHA. How about not giving me a free vacation for a week with the purchase and discount the price. They took all of my crazy calls and did not care how up site. They just said I happy I will be.. I hope they are right but I would not recommend anyone to use them unless you do not care and have extra money to spend.

The staff at Matrix is very professional and most people were extremely reliable, particularly the coordinator who oversaw the field activity, coordinated the tradespeople, kept close touch with experts on the Matrix team, addressed various issues, and clarified a lot of things that should've been brought up in earlier planning meetings. I sincerely appreciate the coordinator. He was like the glue that kept it all together. Accessible, understanding, knowledgeable, and very professional. Everyone he interacted with was also very responsive. All team members, Trades and Office alike, were professional, polite, and considerate. The Matrix project tracking tool, Buildertrend, was very helpful and informative. I recommend that earlier planning meetings cover more of what to expect to give customers helpful suggestions and avoid issues like early appliance orders that can't be stored during construction. Despite delays, such as with cabinets, I understand the logistical problems with supplies due to the Covid situation. Planners need to thoroughly explain what to expect and be proactive so customers don't learn the hard way. Thankfully, the coordinator resolved many issues during the project, and now I have a beautiful basement apartment that is a comfortable living space and a good investment. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the Matrix Team and will gladly recommend them for remodeling work.

We requested a wall in a certain place in the basement, *** kept insisting on putting the wall 5 less then where we wanted. We agreed to go with Matrix, *** told us we had 3 days to cancel but if we did he would lose his job. He also told us if we removed our current walls and ceiling before they started any work we would save 5k. *** came with prints weeks later. We told him where we wanted the wall, he said its an additional 15K! He said we needed more flooring, ceiling paint and lights. We contacted *** with concerns for over 2 weeks via phone, texts and e-mails and no response. Day 1 of work, the workers were happily surprised we had done the work of removing walls and ceiling; we realized it was something we did not need to do. Matrix didnt want to pay the workers for hours of heavy labor and they put it on us. Matrix said we needed drywall under the stairs to prevent fire from going upstairs. They put drywall but did not finish, there is a large gap making it non-fire resistant! They left patches over the drywall and did not paint over it nor finish the floor. Clean up was ok until the last couple of weeks. They left large buckets under the stairs and all sorts of garbage. They also left an open gallon of paint thinner with a hole on the side, it spilled all over, this was a hazard. We contacted *** (project manager) and no response. There are missing brackets to hold shelves in the cabinets they installed, and a pillar they installed is off center. For the final walk through, I sent *** text asking him to come after 4pm or on the weekend so both homeowners could be there, he ignored my request and came at noon, he was paid, never heard from him again. I left a message for ***(manager) and he did not respond. Communication was poor, most of the completed work is nice but I would not recommend Matix Home Solutions. Work took 6 months and was not completed to our satisfaction. Pictures available on Yelp.

The salesman came to my house and gave us a quote on a shower/tub area. There was pressure to lock down the price after telling him we were going to get a few more quotes from other companies. We gave him a $100 check on Saturday, July 11 which he promised to hold off on cashing until the following Saturday-July 18th after we received all quotes and could make a decision. The company cashed our check 3 days later. We never signed a contract. They claim they are issuing a refund, but that it will take one week. So if I'm to believe them, I should receive a refund by Tuesday July 21.

On April 5, I met with an employee of Matrix, ***. I needed a new shower installed but was on a tight timeline because we only have one shower in the house. After much back and forth and him calling his boss they agreed they would expedite my order and try to have my shower installed with only a few days down time. They said that within 4-6 weeks I would have a new shower installed. For a week, I called asking when my job would start. Finally I got a call saying they were running behind but if I was patient for a few weeks they could install my shower in 2 days. I agreed to wait, made the appointment for the work to begin on June 8th at 8am. On June 8th, workmen showed up at 9 am,said work would be done in 4 hrs. They took 7 hrs to tear out my old shower, install the base/walls. Told shower doors would be measured the next day and cut. Matrix took over a week to arrange it. No one will answer my call or tell me when they plan to finish my install. 3 mnths/no shower for a month!
