Ordered 8.1 update for Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe website which proved incompatible with my operating system. Cost $66.74. Adobe has no record of my purchase. Order confirmation received from mbcontact.com, not Adobe.

Seems that Adobe website has been compromised by mbcontact.com. Incompatible software caused dysfunction of my PC. 30 June 2008.

I fell for this as well. Their advertisement was the top of the page as a sponsored link in Google and I clicked on it. I thought it was really strange that there was no free option. I was offered three years for $12.97 each, was billed in excess of $64. I did not complete the sale through verified by visa but it sure looked like the charge might have gone through. I will dispute this on my CC bill.

I believed I was purchasing Nero 8.2.8 and paid US$68 via MBContact.com. When I looked for serial number at my E-mail address to unlock this software it is not there. I have been scammed and feel really disappointed. I will let everyone I know via ghroup E-mails not to use this service

I also thought that I was purchasing Nero 8.2 and was charged USD 38.91 by MBContact on my credit card. I was provided with a user name and password but no serial number to activate the software. The user name and password word was not for the Nero software or any software, it was for access to a website that provides informational links to software, so does Google FOR FREE. I agree with the others that this site is misleading and falsely advertised.

But, I contacted my credit card company immediately and filed a complaint and I contacted MBContact as well to discontinue my 3 year service. (All within 2 hours of signing up) I have already recieved an email from MBContact stating that I will be refunded my $38.91. But I intend to follow up on it. TO ALL OF YOU THAT ALSO FELL FOR THIS... CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY and CALL MBCONTACT AT [protected] IMMEDIATELY. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!

Yes, I also responded to a Google Earth 4.3 download and, of course, it didn't work and found that one could write to Panama or call the Netherlands with any questions or complaints. It is an obvious scam and I wonder that they are still operating on the internet...who is their provider and what is Google doing about this? In any event, I have contacted Bank of America and contested the business.

MBCONTACT I clicked on their website but I though I was getting an itunes membership. They charged me twice for the same thing. When I tried phoning to get a credit from their customer service but was in some foreign country. I could not hear them properly they did not speak English well at all and they did not understand English very well and couldn't hear me properly they was a delay in my voice as well. I was so frustrated I asked for the manager but had an even worse experience with her. Terrible customer service...the worst I have ever experienced!

What service does this company actually provide to anyone?

Never again!

Beware of anything that says Mbcontact. It's a scam. I tried to buy an Ares membership that was for 12.67, and they charged my card 68.78.

Here's how you know it's fraudulent. I called them and they already knew I wanted a refund without me saying anything. They acted like they refunded my card when they didn't. I called back again and they were like, "yes, your card has been charged". When I asked about my refund, they said, "Oh, let me do that for you now. " They didn't do it the last time and they weren't going to do it the second time. They were pretending.

They aren't going to give your money back. Go to your bank and report it. This all happened to me within an hour and in five days my bank is putting my money back. Besides this, close your card, they have your information you know.

People that do what they do are low. Others in the world have to work hard for their money and most of us are struggling as it is. Don't let those lazy low lifes get away with stealing your money. Get it back.

I filled in part of a form, trying to purchase Antispyware, but on page 1 the amount was $39.99, on clicking to page 2, the amount had been converted, to $49.98. This was too expensive, so I did not complete that page, clicking on cancel. However my Bank paid out $94.99 on a demand from MBcontact some time later, although I did not have any goods to show for this, no disc, no download, Since then, there have been three further claims on my Credit Card, which my Bank is now opposing on the grounds of no goods being sent.

14 Aug 2008 Did Google search about Nero.com software
15 Aug 2008 Received email that just said Nero8.
I opened message and clicked link and Nero.com home page appeared so clicked downloads and was offered 1, 2 or 3 years membership to Nero site with reference to burning, making copies etc of CD and DVD. I made one years purchase for UKP15.24. I was sent user-name and password so clicked on site and wow, I was offered a free download of Nero8 but as I had no serial number I could not even get this.
I have been in touch with www.nero.com and their legal side are dealing with the matter. I also contacted my bank and I have forwarded all correspondence to be investigated. I did however notice whilst printing copies of the bogus Nero homepage there was a tiny disclaimer printed at the bottom of the page.Trouble was that it was printed in a similar grey to the grey back ground that it was printed on and I only noticed it when it was on the white paper. I too was also billed by MBcontacts Netherlands. One thing as a goodwill gesture Nero.co have given me a 30% discount on their Nero 8 software and told me to only deal with them at www.nero.com
Just hope that you all get refunds.

I've been chasing these people since 26/10/08 when my credit card was debited for $87.60 from MB Contact. I was happy to pay $11 for something and they billed me $88.! Since then I tried phones, emails, different addresses etc. and now I can't even SEND the emails or make it through to their links. They've done something to my computer . . like stolen all my info perhaps, who knows? I want to get my money back for a start. Any help at all I can be, any help you can give me - let's do it. Appreciate any assistance whatsoever.

On the AVG website I was ordering an anti-virus package and at the payment stage I gave card details for the sum of 26 GBP but a firm called MBCONTACT.COM interceded and took the payment. AGV did not do a download so I have nothing to show for my money. The e-mail contact given for MBCONTACT is spurious.

Got done for just under £20 by MBContact.com for the same AVG scam.
Maybe banks can do more by checking any payment to those already identified as fraudulent such as MBContact and whenever any credit card payment is sent it will be immediately refused.
It shouldn't be so hard to do to carry out a verification check as to the background of the person or company to whom any payment is to be made and act accordingly.
For what it's worth I'm certainly going to bring this matter up with my own bank to see what additional checks might be put in place.

This company will infect your computer with a virus and then send pop ups possing a well know virus protection suppliers like AVG and Norton.
If you do manage to get onto a real web site for a virus protection supplier when you go to the check out MBcontacts jumps inbetween and your money goes to them.

The also charge you for support on popular shareware products by getting between you and the down load access.

I have had to change my credit card because of these guys.

Tried to download music match and found myself on mbcontact which charged my credit card $34.00 u.s. I haven't even an idea of what this is, if anything, but it is certainly not the service to which I believed I was subscribing.

Even more annoying, I am caller number 38 on their waitlist to speak to customer service to undo this charge!

In many ways, this is your fault. Why would you enter your credit card number and open yourself up to this fraudulent charge?

I called the phone number multiple times at different times of the day and the message was always the same with now answer.

I was directed to this site in error and placed an order for what I thought was a legitimate software service subscription. I was contacted by my credit card company stating that a suspsect charge had been placed by an organization based in The Netherlands. The charge was denied. Beware of this fraud!

Has anybody gotten their money back from this place? I just talked to them and they assured me my money would be back in my account within 24 hours. I told them I thought I was having to sign up for Itunes (I am a senior citz. and didn't know I didn't have to pay a fee) and just before it went through I realized that it was not Itunes so I hit cancel and it went through anyway. I wrote two emails to them right away and both came back as if I had asked for downloading instructions, canned response I guess. So I called the number the poster listed above and was told that they cancelled it and would send me a confirmation and put my money back in my account. I do not understand how they get away with this stuff. If I don't get it back within 24 hours I am going to close my bank account (this particular account hardly ever has much money in it anyway) and file a dispute. What a bunch of hooie... anybody get their money back at all?

I thought I was on the website for spybot, but found out I was on MBCONTACT.COM after trying to download security software. Well, unfortunately, I realized was wrong after paying with my credit card. Lucky for me, I printed a receipt, googled MBCONTACT, got an 866 number and called. After questioning the operator (Sophia Anderson) I found out I hadn'let t paid for Spybot and still don't know what I purchased. Sophia was tough and didn't want to give any info - but I was able to learn I would get a refund in 4 to 10 days, MBCONTACT works for themselves, and asked me if I wanted to buy spybot. What was going on, I don't know, but hope it wasn't some scam!

I recived my bank statement on 20th march 2009 and found that a company called mbcontacts had took £33.65p out of my account. I had no idea of who they were or why they took the money. So futher to some investigation i found out they got my details when I signed up for itunes 8 on there website. The charge they was offering was total acsess for 3 years for £7.95. I was half way through filling in the details and decided to abort. i didnt even finish the forms. I am now worried that they can take money out of my account whenever they want, so I phoned the bank and they were able to confirm this.

I was going to buy AVG anti virus software. I provided my card details but changed my mind and stopped the transaction before when it got to the visa verification part ie the payment shouldn't have gone through. I got an email from MBcontact.com saying the transaction had gone through and payment would be taken. Numerous emails later - I got nowhere. I rang AVG themselves and they confirmed that MBcontact are a rogue website. I've reported them to my bank and they are now in the process of investigating the payment! After finding out they were rogues I googled them and found hundreds of complains. Google should ban them.
