Horrible Customer Service
I was suckered into buying one of these contracts through Service Protection Direct/Mepco/Texan Partners. I canceled within the first 30 days and was charged almost $400 dollars, I will not see that money for another month. They made it very difficult to cancel the contract giving at least 7 different customer service numbers to cancel with, and also making you notify them in writing with a notarized letter of the cancellation. They even said that they never received the notarized letter that I sent via UPS with a tracking number which was delivered about two weeks ago to the front desk of their company, signed for and everything! They have horrible customer service and a lousy contract. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE COMPANIES!
Horrible Just Horrible!

Not Covering Warranty
Smooth talking salesmen from Mepco calls us telling us our warranty was getting ready to expire and if we would like to extend it in which we agreed to do so. We asked him when does it start covering us? He mentioned since we already had warranty that it would be effective as soon as we renew with them. We agreed to purchase the warranty and two month...

I have tried repeatedly to cancell my coverage. No one knows how to help me ; they keep giving me other phone numbers which lead to an answer machine that you leave a message and they don't return the call. phone numbers i have used are as follows [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]
Been paying the for about 6 months. They won't let me login or cancel.
from philip neal SECU from my credit union account at 4:18pm
MEPCO ITS A FRAUD! I WAS READING ALL THE POST THAT PEOPLE WROTE ABOUT AND ME AND MY WIFE BEING THROUGH HELL ... I DID NOT HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.. I'M STILL STRUGGLING TO GET MY MONEY BACK AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF A CANCELATION ...
I agree! They will call me at 8 in the morning to 9 at night, what company calls you that late? When i told them I wanted to cancle my contract, they said they had to send me some papers in the mail for me to sign to discontinue it...I didnt believe them, so i changed my visa card #, guess what! They didnt send me ###! This whole thing is crock and I was stupid to sign on with them! I learned my lesson and with $400 out!
I filed a complaint with the AG's office in Illinois. This whole thing is one big scam. These people should be in prison.
i called mepco yesterday 4/22/09, all i got was the runaround. i spoke with a person who sounds like he was satan on the phone. i never did receive my answers to my questions. and when i tried to cancel my contract, satan terminated my phone call. they are a bunch of rectum lovers.
i'm going to call them again and cancel my extended warranty.if they continue to ignore me, i will get the attorney general of the state of connecticut involved.
Extended Warrantee
I paid $2493.00 for a 84 month 125, 000 mile extended warranty on my 2002 Trailblazer, in June 2005.
I received a contract with the name of National Dealer Warranties and VSC Premier Extended Care Protection on it. I was making payments to a company named MEPCO.
On 28 October 2008 I needed my truck serviced, so I called the 800 number on the contract first and was told that all I needed to do was to take the vehicle to my chosen place of repair and give them my contract, so I took it to the dealer. Later that day, I got a call from the dealer and was told that the warrantee company wanted them to use it's part instead of a more costly GM part and would not pay for the price of the GM part. I decided to go with the cheaper warrantee company part and went to pick-up up my vehicle, because the part had to be mailed out and it could take a week. When I got to the dealer to pick up my truck, the dealer was acting very shady with me. I thought that it was because they could'nt sell me on the GM part.
The following morning I called the 800 # on my contract again and asked if I could take my truck somewhere else ( a national auto repair store ) and they said yes. Then the rep mentioned to me that TPA was in receivership! I would have to pay the repairs upfront and then be reimbusrt'd by the warrantee company.
When I bought this contract, I was told that it offered 100% payment for repairs with a $50.00 deductable. Now I'm finding out that that was a lie, because they are not going to pay the entire bill at all!
I had to get my vehicle repaired, because it needed a new hub assembly and ball joint so I could continue to drive it.
So now I'm sending in my paper work to see if I do get repaid. It isn't certain.
I'm retired and live on a very small fixed income. To say I'm pissed, would be putting it mildly.
Wow, I just traded my car in thinking I would get a refund portion of the $2000 extended warranty the dealer tagged on me last year, which I never used. Now I'm perplexed knowing I'm sure not to see a refund coming... Count me in the group if anyone is willing to move forward with this.

I say we all get a lawyer and file a class action suit! I had the same thing happen. I was told everything would be covered in my repair 100% and when it came time to get my car fixed they denied my claim and told me that I could take them to court if I wanted. They were very rude and very shady. This company is a total scam!

My son and I both purchased Extended Care Protection from this company. When he took his vehicle in to get repaired, that is when we found out that they were in receivership and that he would have to pay upfront for repairs and then be reimbusrt'd by the warrantee company. We both cancelled our contract acccording to there terms. This was done in March of 08. We have not received any reimburstment as of yet. We both have called a number of time, only to be given the run around. I call today Sept24, 09 and was told that they are now making reimburstments payments and that they do not have any time frame for paying customers that have cancelled. This company(VSC Premier) sure ripped off a lot of people. I myself am retired and live on a fixed income. We purchased this protection for our vehicle so we wouldn't have to worry about paying for repairs only to get screwed. This company should be made to pay back all money owed with interest. There should be a class action suit filed against them
I bought my "extended warranty" from this company in Feb 2005 on a 2002 Trailblazer and then
traded that in on a new car May 2006 and was told I would "refunded" the pro-rated amount for
the contract. Three months went by and I hadn't heard anything so I contacted them again and
was told that they were processing the refund but needed me a copy of the trade-in document along
with a note stated the vehicle was no longer in my possession. Still, no word...I contacted them
numerous times and everyone saw the notation on the account that it was to be cancelled but nothing
had been done. FINALLY on Feb 14th 2008 I contact them again and was told she saw the documentation
to cancel the contract but never received my cancellation notice. UGH! SO, I faxed it to her attention
with a note stating car was traded in. Two weeks later I contacted her again and was told the refund was
scheduled to go out on April and that someone would contact me with information regarding it. But
nothing.
July 18th of 2008 I called that number again and left a message but received no return call...called
again Aug 4th 2008...still no return call. The next time I called the number on my contract it said
the company was in "receivership" with the state and nothing was being processed any longer. Continuing
my quest I called again in Nov 18th 2008 and was told by Amanda that they had no record of my every
requesting my contract be cancelled that she needed me to fax it again. I did that on March 2nd 2009
and tried to call them today to follow up and the # is no longer in service. They owe me about $1300 at
this point. SO, even though it's been a few years since this saga began, I'm not letting them walk just
walk away from this without a fight. I suggest you do the same.
Honestly, I'm surprised there hasn't been a class action suit filed against them.
Terrible customer service
Mepco's Customer service for extended vehicle warranty is the worst I've ever seen. There's never anyone in the office to call to make a payment, so when your payment is 1 day past due and you cant speak to anyone then they cancell it. I've had this problem with them from the very beginning and they also screwed up the mailing address the first couple of bills which ultimately resulted in my policy being cancelled 2x. They need to get better organized so this problem doesnt happen again. I'm not happy with their services. It's not right that I'm going through all this bull crap and I havent even had to use my warranty yet for my vehicle.

i need to cancel this insurance as we no longer have the car. how can i get this done?
didn't order anything still keep charging my card
Failure to answer phones or allow cancellation of service or refund, basically a ripoff / scam.
CDWS IS a FRAUD DO NOT MAKE ANY MORE PAYMENTS MEPCO, VEHICLE ASSURANCE ALL TOGETHER. BEEN OPERATING SINCE 2007 I THINK ILLEGALLY GOOGLE THEM
I am continuing to have trouble logging in to MEPCO to pay my auto coverage bills to ROYAL WESCO. There is no payment by phone
availability with MEPCO. My USER name does not work, Nor does the use of my PASSWORD, over and over, for months, now. I would like to have a way to reach MEPCO by e-mail, even, for help in logging in or making payments by phone, using my credit card. I am very frustrated and
unhappy with this payment company. I wish Royal Wesco would change their payment method choice. This is not a decent billing corp. It is lacking accessibility to its customers. I understand clearly that MEPCO is NOT my extended warranty car insurance company. They are two separate entities. I am amazed how many complaints are made not understanding that Mepco is for bill paying, not auto coverage. It is sad that all these different on-line payment systems are confusing and misunderstood by so many users. Both Mepco and the Extended-car-coverage Insurance Companies should make that easily understood to all buyers and users
of these two systems. I know ROYAL WESCO/ NATIONAL AUTO SERVICES LL is impossible to locate. MEPCO won't help you with that, either. I know, I asked them for help. It was a dead end. So much for using the WEB for everything. Some things are better done face to face. That is still our choice. Maybe the old-fashioned way to do things, isn't all bad. I won't buy auto ins. on line ever again. I hope what I do buy, does not use MEPCO as their payment vehicle. Good luck to everyone on this debacle.
Here it is 2011 and I am also having trouble just contacting Medco. Paid full amount for warrenty, never used it and wanted my refund as promised. Obvioiusly after reading the above comments I have little to no chance of recovering my money.
Mepco Finance Corporation is an affiliate to Independent Bank Corporation. (www.mepco.com/pages/about) They provide payment plans for third party companies, NOT ITS SERVICES.
My suggestion to anybody who believe that they were ripped off by a certain company using Mepco for their payment plans is to write the name of the company, its address, and its phone number on this forum. If many different companies show up (at least 15-20), then I believe Mepco needs to be investigated; this could go as far as Independent Bank Corporation, and thus, another Enron.
I only hope to receive some of the money back and stop the bille because I don't want this no more but after I read all complait I really DOUDT IT for all the people the thinking and buy the warranty please be very careful with this company MEPCO CORPORATION
MEPCO? WHAT A JOKE! I GOT THE ELITE EXTENDED WARRANTY AT THE PURCHASE OF MY CAR, WAITED ON MY FIRST PAYMENT FOR 3 MONTHS, COME TO FIND OUT "SOMEONE" AT MEPCO OR THE DEALERSHIP SCREWED UP MY SERVICE CONTRACT, SO AFTER STARTING A NEW ONE WHICH ADDED EXTRA MILES AND 3 MONTHS (DUE TO THE SCREW UP), I STARTED RECEIVING BILLS, AND FAITHFULLY PAID THEM ALL (IN FULL) FOR 12 MONTHS. NOW 4 MONTHS BEFORE THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE CONTRACT, I NEED REPAIRS DONE FOR THE FIRST TIME UNDER WARRENTY (ALTERNATOR). CALLED MEPCO, AND THEY TELL ME THAT "THE FIRST CONTRACT THAT WAS DENIED WAS ACCEPTED AND THE SECOND CONTRACT WAS DENIED" MEANING... THE FIRST CONTRACT HAD EXPIRED TWO WEEKS AGO, AND THE SECOND CONTRACT WAS DENIED. ON THE 2ND CONTRACT I WOULD HAVE 4 MORE MONTHS... THEY ARE FULL OF IT! I HAVE 1ST CONTRACT DENIED PAPERS, AND THE 2ND CONTRACT ACCEPTANCE PAPERS -W- 1ST TO LAST PAYMENT RECEIPTS, OH! THEY SCREW HONEST HARD WORKING PEOPLE SOOOOOOOOOO BAD!
I SAY TO ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE MEPCO FINANCE OR WARRANTY THEY ARE NOT A GOOD COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE REASON I SAY THIS IS MY HUSBAND HAD TAKEN OUT THE EXYENDED WARRANTY BUT NEVER USED IT. HE SOLD THE TRUCK HE HAD THE WARRANTY ON. WE CALLED THEM 2 TIMES AND WROTE 2 LETTERS TO INFORM THEM WE HAD SOLD THE TRUCK AND WE WERE CANCELLING AND WILL NOT BE MAKING ANY ADDITIONAL PAYMENT. WE PAID ABOUT $1, 700.00. WE SOLD THE TRUCK WE OWED ABOUT 4 MORE PAYMENTS BUT WE NO LONGER HAVE THE TRUCK. THEY CALL MY HOUSE ABOUT 5 TO 6 TIMES A DAY. AND SEND PAST DUE NOTICES THEY ARE THE MOST STUPID COMPANY I KNOW OF.
