This company put in my windows, they're leaking water and they're under warranty and the company won't come to look at it or check the damage or fix this without charging me a service charge to just come to my place.
Please don't do business with this company!
Please don't do business with this company! We bought windows and a door from them for over $16,000. We had a lot of problems with them from start to finish. The salesperson was nice and promised us a warranty, quality, and good service. But then he made a mistake with the window and completely changed. We had to pay extra to replace it. One of the windows broke within 2 years and I was passed around for over 4 months. Nobody in this company takes responsibility or cares about their customers. Finally, after many calls and requests, another company called and said they could fix the problem for a fee. Save your money and avoid the headache, look somewhere else for windows...

On July 27, 2022, a salesperson from Midwest Window and Doors came to my house to give me a quote for new windows. We agreed on a price of $29,250.00 for 40 casement windows, and on July 29, 2022, I signed the contract and gave an initial deposit of $8000.00 by check. I was told that someone from Midwest would contact me for the final measurement of the windows. On August 11, 2022, a person named *** from Midwest came to take the measurements, but it was already late in the evening, around 6 PM.
Then, on August 15, around *** AM, I received a call from a salesperson named Raju, who informed me that Midwest was not honoring the contract because it was a low-margin contract. Midwest does have terms and conditions stating that they have the right to reject a signed contract if there are calculation or estimation errors, but in this case, there were no mistakes in the calculations or estimates. It was simply a low-margin contract that Raju should have consulted Midwest about before signing. I did not pressure him to sign.
They have not cashed my check, and I have not received any written cancellation or my deposit back. According to the pricing terms, they have until August 21, 2022, which is 10 days after the discovery, to provide written confirmation or return my deposit. However, today is August 25, 2022, and I still have not received anything.
Salesperson *** mentioned that Midwest had taken low-margin orders in the past, but now they have more business and are denying them. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this business policy. Additionally, I was never informed about the possibility of cancellation. A signed contract is binding for both the customer and the contractor. In this case, I cannot cancel the signed contract after 3 days of signing, but the contractor can cancel even after 17 days because the contract was signed on 07/29/2022. I don't believe there should be different laws for customers and contractors in this country. All laws should be equal for both parties involved in a contract.
