We talked to someone named Chris who had gave us a $1500 guaranteed estimate for moving some items from one storage unit to another. On the scheduled moving day no one showed up. They ended up coming the following day, and suddenly the price went up to $4000. They claimed that we had more items than expected, however we were VERY VERY explicit and clear with the exact dimensions of our storage unit and EXACTLY how much stuff we had. We then got on the phone with the owner, Adam, who was absolutely no help at all and could give no explanation to why we were given such an inaccurate quote. All he had to say is "I don't know what to tell you. If you want this stuff moved, you will have to pay the $4000." These guys are scam artists who will try to severely up-charge you at the last minute, once they can back you into a corner. We ended up cancelling the delivery altogether because these people are NOT trustworthy. After reading all these other horrible reviews, I'm not surprised. We will take our business elsewhere. What a big fat waste of time and energy dealing with these people. Do not hire them.
Worst service I have ever had. Broken furniture and bad communication. It started out with one quote then ended up being 1,000.00 more once our things were already on the truck. Were told we could pay by credit card prior to delivery and no one answered the phones to be able to pay before the driver came. Delivery driver sat in our street for over an hour to get permission to release our stuff and then as they were taking out our things one thing after another was broken.
If I could give 0 stars I would!
If I could give 0 stars I would! Worst customer service! Had our brand new furniture moved across country and received them damaged, as well as they gave us a quote and raised it after picking up items, and paying deposit and half of the initial quote! It took Mission Transportation 6 months to fulfill claim and they send $100! Scam artists! The delivery people were sketchy as well!
I feel it is Fraud Company!
I feel it is Fraud Company! Do not use! Company did one low quote estimate to get business. On day of move raised the price by $5000. Company stated 3-5 day delivery. It took seven. Charged by cubic foot. I understand that to be illegal. They demand half payment up front. They demand full payment prior to off loading truck. No government agency can help you after you hire this company. The cost to sue is more than you possessions are worth. Again, recommend Do not use.

Chris texted me and said, and I quote, "call me i have a truck going to NC in Sep my price will be half the other movers
Chris texted me and said, and I quote, "call me i have a truck going to NC in Sep my price will be half the other movers". Well, we went with MissionTransportation because of this. My stuff didn't leave San Diego until the November and they charged me twice as much as what was promised (as compared to half the price of another quote I got). I told him what I had and he gave me a quote without offering an in home estimate. Therefore the estimate was WAY off and when they got 90% of our stuff in the truck they told us it would be 400 sq feet more - TWICE the $$$ what we were originally quoted for 750 cubic feet. The movers showed up for pick up 2.25 hours late, 2 days after originally agreed. I told them what day we would be ready for delivery and the mover said nothing abut that date. He did not make it clear that my stuff would be delivered 7-14 days AFTER the first available delivery date. The day I expected delivery- 30 days after pick up- it was still sitting in storage in SanDiego! The whole premise for getting half price ( sharing a truck with someone in September, was a LIE). My stuff showed up 21 days after that date, 54 days after pick up. On delivery day, the delivery driver of *** said that his boss didn't want him driving his $150,000 rig on our gravel driveway ( even though Mission Transportation said that they *** our address and it should be okay) so they threatened to put our stuff in storage unless we paid them $700 extra to rent a $39.95 for a 20 foot "shuttle" *** truck. They took two trips to deliver our stuff down the driveway. One of the movers, bless her heart was probably a 12 year old girl, their daughter. She worked hard but this factor definitely slowed thing down. I get that there is extra labor involved to put it in a shuttle but it was not our problem that we had space for 80 feet of parking in front of our home, for a 53 foot truck, as was in the contract and they show up with a bigger truck and decide they don't do gravel, and make us pay more. Also they would not put one thing in the shuttle until we paid them in full- and this was ridiculous because they could have just driven away with our stuff. I was very concerned about it but he threatened again to put it in storage and deal with the court system- so we accepted his deal to hold onto his drivers license and we give him the money. Adam, the owner of the company thought he was doing a good deal by charging us $4.00 a cubic foot instead of $4.40 ( a $700 "discount" that the delivery movers just ended up charging us for the shuttle, so there was NO discount for being late, lying and fraudulent). So the fact is we still ended up paying $3,423 more per cubic foot than what we were told "half the rate of other movers." Totally out of integrity. Rude. Threatening...that bait and switch is called fraud. I do not recommend Mission Transportation at all. The only reason why I gave them one star is that the mom from *** was very nice and her kids worked hard.

The moving company quoted me the best price compared to all the competitors solely because the military discount
The moving company quoted me the best price compared to all the competitors solely because the military discount. The contract we agreed upon said the items would be delivered on May 10th or before 45 days after that with continuous contact and updates provided if any discrepancies were there. Today is July 5th, 55 days after the first date. I have had no contact from the company and upon reaching out my calls are always pushed back or not answered. Finally reached the company today and was told we are trying to find a driver still and was given no time frame at all. I am extremely displeased and have began pursuing legal actions.

I scheduled a move with this company and they told me my stuff would be delivered to mom new address within 2-7 days. No one ever called to give me an update. When I call they tell me they dont know when I will be getting my stuff. Now they wont answer the phone at all. I still havent received any of my furniture
DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY! I used a third party agent who led me to a contract with Mission Transportation. They packed my stuff on August 25th and I was told my belongings would be delivered between September 3rd and September 10th. It is now October 12th and they have not departed their facility. They called me a couple of weeks ago telling me my items would be leaving in a few days. I never received another call. My belongings never left and they told me 'they didn't know why'. I moved to a region where the seasons are changing. They have my mattress, clothes, school supplies, everything I need. I have already spent over $1,000 buying things I already own. Two weeks ago, I called about a refund so that I could have someone else come and pick my belongings up. They never returned my call. Now, every time I try calling, I only get a busy signal. I'm at a loss and this has been a huge financial and mental burden. It seems they have no intentions of moving my things. This has been the worst company I have ever interacted with.
The Company failed to deliver all items listed in the contract on 4/27
The Company failed to deliver all items listed in the contract on 4/27. I made several attempts by phone requesting missing items. I was told by *** owner to file a claim. I submitted written Claim dated 6/25 requesting compensation for all 19 items that were missing. The Company can also make adjustment to my final charge. *** signed certified receipt and confirmed claim received by telephone on 8/8. I last spoke with *** in Claims on 8/27/2031 who CC me email sent to ***, still no response. I sent email to Company requesting status. I cant get no one to provide me a status of my claim with receipt #*** MC ***.

Please dont book with them. They gave us a date they did not keep. Then they ensured we would have same day delivery. Turns out *** who was working with us has no experience with booking so he was just all talk. They said we would get a refund because they missed a date leaving us at our old home. They never gave us a refund and didnt work with our bank. Now they have a $100 for doing no work at all. Believe the reviews because this is the worst moving company! They will take your deposit and not refund it regardless of not keeping their word.
I contacted them on July 1st for furniture delivery to my new place.
I contacted them on July 1st for furniture delivery to my new place. The representative assured me of delivery, knowing my 30-day free storage ended on July 26th. She mentioned dispatch by early August. Reaching out again in August, I was informed of a mid-August delivery. On August 10th, the operations manager claimed my items were being loaded. When I checked on Friday, I was told my belongings weren't shipped yet. This delay has been frustrating, especially since my son's school clothes are among the items, and the manager said there was no immediate solution. The move has already cost me a substantial amount.

I hired Mission Transportation to move my belongings from one location to another. Initially, they informed me that delivery would take approximately three weeks, but now, after more than two months, I am still waiting without any delivery. I have contacted them on numerous occasions to no avail, and I am concerned about when my items will arrive. My anxiety is compounded by the fact that some of the boxes contain critical supplies for my wife's business, which is losing $20,000 a month due to this delay. The last communication I had with them was an instruction to collect my boxes from their storage facility. I am at a loss about what steps to take next. Please provide assistance. Thank you.

We hired Mission Transportation Inc for a move on 15 May
We hired Mission Transportation Inc for a move on 15 May . They were late, took an extra day, damaged our door, costing us a $3k deposit and $2200 in repairs, which they haven't paid. Two weeks later, we don't know where our belongings are. They're asking for 40% more than the quoted price and holding our items until we pay. We're without our items, get no written communication, and face lies and threats when we call. We demand delivery and damage payment.

I hired a company for relocation services from one state to another, awaiting my new home purchase.
I engaged a firm for relocating my belongings, involving pickup, storage, and delivery challenges. They assessed my items' volume accurately, similar to my neighbor's experience. Post-pickup, they claimed a higher volume, increasing storage costs. Additionally, they lost 14 boxes containing electronics and a barstool, and mistakenly delivered someone else's footboard. Despite multiple contacts, they neither resolved these issues nor initiated further discussion.

Hello, We hired Mission Transportation in late October for a long-distance move
Hello, We hired Mission Transportation in late October for a long-distance move. We were promised a date of arrival November 1st, but our items did not arrive until December. Many items were missing or damaged upon arrival, including boxes marked 'caution, breakable' that were smashed and a piano with a broken leg that was taped without notification. We paid $7,125. On moving day, a worker demanded an additional $3000, claiming our items wouldn't fit in the truck, despite our clear description. When we refused and requested a stop at a storage place, he asked for $400 to his personal Venmo, which was later refunded by the company. Our attempts to communicate with the business for fair compensation have been ignored, and we hope to prevent others from using their service.

The driver had to wait for another helper due to highway patrol restrictions.
The driver was frustrated because he had to wait for another helper to accompany him, as the highway patrol wouldn't allow him to drive alone due to his youth. He mentioned this to other movers, leading me to speculate about a possible accident involving the highway patrol, which might explain the extensive damage to our belongings. Everything, even items we packed, was damaged. After a two-month wait and constant communication issues, my husband's patience wore thin, resulting in a heated exchange with the company's representative. This led to a call advising him on proper communication, but it also prompted some action on their part.

1st I want to preface by saying I had an in home estimate, not a zoom call
1st I want to preface by saying I had an in home estimate, not a zoom call. *** spent 2 hours at my home. My move included packing as well. I informed He informed me it would fit in 1 truck and one day to pack and move would be fine. I was paying $20 a box to pack. Llittle did I know they would use small book boxes for the kitchen to double the count and cost to me. My estimate was for a full truck; however, 1/2 way through the move I received a VERY nasty call from ***, telling me my move was going to cost me another couple of thousand dollars for using a full truck and up to another 6k if I went over. When I tried to explain, he stated I was making a big deal over 5%. It was 50%, not 5. He also told me he could leave the job or leave anything over 1 truck at my old house. First truck arrived and severe damage to items they packed, including shattered tv. Now I have to wait over 1 month for balance of items when I was told a few days after 1st shipment. Fraud from day 1!

Company sent three workers to load my belongings for a move on May 15
Company sent three workers to my home on May 15 to load my belongings. Upon delivery, I found two heavy-duty ladders and a soiled queen mattress missing its bubble wrap. I filed a complaint with Mission Transport and discussed the issue with Mr. Adam D, the Operating Manager. Despite being promised a check, it took weeks to receive a mere $100. I called Mr. D to address the low compensation for my ladders and mattress, which he calculated at 60 cents per pound. The mattress weighed 130 pounds, and the ladders 68 and 47 pounds respectively. The total should have been $147, not $100.

On May 7th, I signed a contract for $2,158.70 and paid $833.80 to a moving company to relocate 286 cubic feet of items. Hired a firm for my household goods move on 10 Aug, facing multiple issues with the manager
Hired a firm to move my household goods on 10 Aug, facing multiple issues with the manager. I was charged $1,192 for storage. On Oct 4th, 2021, I set a delivery date for my items. I informed the manager I'd be ready to receive my goods on 21 Oct. On 9 October, I was told delivery couldn't be guaranteed by then, and an additional $1,192 storage fee was demanded for keeping my items until 11/10. I had already paid for storage until 10/9. The manager had assured me no extra fees would apply if I provided a delivery date within the storage timeline. During our conversation, the manager was rude and suggested sending my items without a secure delivery date. Afterward, I contacted the company multiple times, only to receive excuses and delays. On 11/2, I spoke with the manager again, seeking a discount due to the inconvenience. The manager dismissed my request and indicated a further two-week delay. Their lack of professionalism is alarming, and I believe the ComplaintsBoard.com should intervene.

I feel it is Fraud Company! Do not use! Company did one low quote estimate to get business. On day of move raised the price by $5000. Company stated 3-5 day delivery. It took seven. Chris texted me and said, 'call me I have a truck going to NC in Sep my price will be half the other movers'. We chose MissionTransportation because of this offer. However, my belongings didn't leave San Diego until November, and the final cost was double the initial quote, which was already supposed to be half the price of another estimate I had received. Chris provided a quote without suggesting an in-home estimate, leading to a grossly inaccurate estimate. When they had loaded most of our items, they informed us that we would need an additional 400 square feet, resulting in a cost twice as high as the original quote for 750 cubic feet.
The movers were over two hours late and arrived two days later than agreed. When discussing delivery dates, the mover did not mention that my items would arrive 7-14 days after the first available delivery date. Thirty days after pickup, when I expected my belongings, they were still in storage in San Diego. The entire idea of getting a discounted rate by sharing a truck in September turned out to be false. My items arrived 21 days later than expected, 54 days after pickup.
On delivery day, the driver mentioned that his boss was against driving the expensive truck on our gravel driveway, despite Mission Transportation's assurance that our address was suitable. They demanded an additional $700 to rent a smaller truck for delivery, even though we had ample parking space for a large truck as per our contract. They refused to unload anything until we paid in full, which seemed absurd since they could have simply driven away with our belongings. Out of concern, we agreed to their terms after securing the driver's license as collateral.
Adam, the owner, offered a rate of $4.00 per cubic foot instead of $4.40, claiming it was a $700 'discount'. However, this 'discount' was negated by the extra shuttle fee, so there was no compensation for the delay, deceit, and fraudulent behavior. In the end, we paid $3,423 more per cubic foot than the 'half the rate of other movers' we were initially quoted. The experience was marked by rudeness, threats, and a classic bait-and-switch tactic that amounts to fraud. I cannot recommend Mission Transportation. The only positive aspect was the kindness of the driver's family, who worked diligently.
