From quote to completion of the project and after Mizell's was and has been excellent. They promptly answer questions, were on time, courteous and professional on site during the project (even cleaned up after work each day), and followed up after ensuring that we were satisfied!
Most of all I got what I asked for and it looks great
Most of all I got what I asked for and it looks great. The workers was very polite, hard working, and arrived when they told me they was. Everything was left perfect. I would highly recommend them .
They screened in my back porch. The work was great and the workers were very professional.
This is my second time using Mizell Renovations, and once again, they did not disappoint. I showed Mr. Mizell several photos of fence ideas, and he got right on the materials list, and scheduling. I loved the fact that I was always kept informed of the progress of the project; from procuring the materials, the start date, to daily status checks with the install team as to completion. They are a very professional organization! They arrived promptly each morning, let me know the plan for the day, got to work, and, at the end of the day, left the job site clean and tidy. I was always asked if the install was going as planned, and it was nice not to be stressed about it. I have the fence I wanted, and it looks amazing! People have even begun asking me who installed it, and I have no problem recommending Mizell's Renovations! I will definitely use them again!

Mizells is a wonderful company to work with
Mizells is a wonderful company to work with. Timely, reasonable, helpful and informative. The owner gives you all the information you need to make a decision, without feeling pressured to decide on the spot. The guys that did the work were very professional and answered all my questions when they completed. Definitely will be using them again for future work.

We had our back porch screened in
We had our back porch screened in. It was only one side and so a small job, about one day. From our initial contact they informed us it would take about three or six weeks to schedule us. Fortunately for us, it turned out to be sooner rather than later. They called us ahead of time, showed up when they said they would and were professional. We are happy with the job they did on the porch. If we ever need any other work done, we would hire them again.

We contracted with Mizell's Renovations to install a pergola on our patio
We contracted with Mizell's Renovations to install a pergola on our patio. Cory said that they would be able to start the job in 6 - 8 weeks but he contacted us early and said they were ready to start. His crew is very professional and did a great job. Cory even upgraded the materials at no extra cost to us. They disassembled our old metal pergola and disposed of it. They cleaned up the site when they were finished. We would recommend Mizell's Renovations to anyone.
We are very happy with Mizell's Renovations, not only with the quality of their work, but the quality of their service
We are very happy with Mizell's Renovations, not only with the quality of their work, but the quality of their service. They were very professional and kept us updated every step if the way. When weather caused delays, they always let us know when they would be back to work. They helped with the design and choice of materials, and installed the pergola to fit our needs, to include electrical. Paul, Cory, Austin, and Chad were all very courteous and professional and answered any questions we had. Despite killer heat, they finished the pergola and electrical in only 3 days. We highly recommend Mizell's Renovations.

I would give negative stars if I could!
I would give negative stars if I could! I have had the worst experience with this company! I was actually referred to them by someone else, although after telling her of my experience, she told me that she had an even more bogus contract than I did. Why she referred me to them I don't understand! When I called the company I spoke with a man that THOUGHT was the owner, Mr. Mizell. I later found out that it was his "sales person". He came to my home to look over the space and do an assessment of the job I wanted done. We discussed in great detail every aspect of what my vision was. I wanted a custom pergola attached to our home and our patio extended out to the length of the pergola and a knee wall to go around the finished slab and pergola, with a 4ft opening to the yard. He gave me a rough estimate of the price at my home and said he would send me a quote in the next 48 hour or so. He sent me the quote, all good. I asked if he offered a military discount (again, still thinking he was the owner all this time) and he came back and reduced the price slightly (about 2%...which is fine...any discount is appreciated for military!) Once I said "Okay, let's move forward!" he sent over a contract for me to sign. I read it over and it wasn't written up exactly how we had discussed. I part of the work I wanted done was missing from the contract. I let him know it was missing this portion of the work and he acted as though we had never discussed this being done. I reminded him of the whole conversation that took place specifically about this part being done and he suddenly vaguely remembered. He seemed to have issues with remembering things...even my name...even keeping the names of the people he works with straight. I digress. This is also when I found out that he was not the owner, but the sales person for the company. So, at this point, he has realized that he messed up...but his answer is to try to charge me more to add what I wanted to the job...even though the original quote was the same as the contracted quote and it INCLUDED what I wanted done. I explained this to him, and in an effort to save his rear I suppose, he suggested that we split the work, with the pergola being done under Mizell and the concrete work done by Mizell's concrete guy, but hiring him directly to basically cut out the fee Mizell charges for contracting that work. He assured me that this is done all the time and the owner is fine with it. He definitely made it sound on the up and up. He sent over 2 contracts for me to sign at that point. Both of the contracts were Mizell contracts, so this confused me, but he said it was fine, since the concrete job was with his concrete guy. Once I signed the contracts, I had 2 visits from them for further assessment of the job, and of course, for them to pick up their checks for half of the full amount of the job. Cory, the owner, came out first to go over the pergola job. He mentioned being aware of the separation of the two jobs and assured me that it would work out great and that his concrete guy did a great job. This further reassured me that all would be well, since the owner was abreast of the situation. I handed him his check for the pergola. A few days later, Paul (the sales person) and the concrete guy Larry came to do the assessment of the concrete and knee wall project. All seemed fine and I gave them the check for that work...which Paul said to make out to HIM. I thought that was weird, but again, he worked for Cory Mizell, and Cory was fully aware of the process Paul was taking. Paul called me that evening to tell me that they would be breaking ground on the concrete in about a week to a week and a half (this would have been the first week of March). GREAT! He also said that it would probably be a while before the pergola could get done because the guys were working big commercial jobs and they wouldn't be free until probably early to mid April. Cory said this as well, so I was already prepared for that. Also, both Cory and Paul assured me that it did NOT matter which was done first, the concrete or the pergola. I got a call from Cory a week later to tell me that he had good news and they were going to go ahead and get the pergola done the following week. This was a welcome surprise. I asked again, just to be sure, if it was okay if the pergola was done before the concrete, as I hadn't heard back from Paul yet about the concrete. Cory again said that it didn't matter, and he then informed me that there was no way the concrete would be done by the first week of March because he had his concrete guy Larry booked on jobs until the April 7th. This is when I started to feel a bit uneasy about everything. I texted Paul and asked if he had a minute to talk and he called me back. He was very short and rude with me on the phone. This was a very different attitude from what I had dealt with before, and seeing as he had already cashed my check, I began to wonder if I didn't matter any longer. He said he was going to talk to Larry the next morning and he would get back to me that evening. I never got a call or text back! This was on March 9th! After his snippy attitude, I backed off a bit and waited until April 6th before texting him back to get an answer as to what the hell was going on with our job! I waited A MONTH before I texted him to ask if he had any news. Even my husband had to text him to get him to give us an answer with a date! He then comes back with "between April 29th and May 5th...weather permitting." We are now 3 months passed paying our deposit, and 3 date push backs! Had we started on the date he originally gave, weather was not an issue, but OF COURSE weather is an issue NOW! It's spring! I look at the weather and it is supposed to be nice April 29th, 30th and May 1st. I texted him April 28th, having gotten no updates, asking if they would be able to start on the 29th because the weather is supposed to be good for those 3 days. He then tells me that there is a job ahead of us and they have to do that job and he would be able to start on the 5th, which is supposed to rain. My husband and I are fed up! My husband tells him that if he can't break ground by the 5th, we want our money back. He says okay. May 4th rolls around and I still have not heard anything. I text him asking what is going on and he says he's out of town and he just assumed that we weren't moving forward since he didn't see any way Larry would have been able to break ground by the 5th. This is NOT what he said on the 28th when we told him the deadline. At this point, I am TICKED OFF! I called Cory Mizell and told him everything that was going on. He seemed to be completely unaware of what was happening. He also seemed to want to take zero responsibility. Once I told him that BOTH contracts I had were on Mizell agreements, he seemed a little more interested to look into it. I sent him all of the texts, copies of the contracts, and a copy of the cashed check we had given Paul. He did give us money orders for the money we gave Paul, and he said he would have Larry come out and get our job done before any other jobs he had him on. He sent Larry out the next Monday. I did ask Cory if Larry would be able to do the work for the contracted price since Paul did all of this, and he assured me that Larry would be doing the work for the contracted price. Larry came out and we went over all of the work again. Larry had been out those months before with Paul and we had gone over everything then, but that was so long ago, I'm sure he didn't remember, but it was all written on the contract too. Well, after him going out to price out the veneer for the knee wall and the blocks, etc. He came back to me saying that he couldn't do it for the contracted price and asked for an additional $1600! WHAT?! I had not budgeted for that! I understand that it wasn't Larry's fault that they had botched this up so bad, but it also wasn't my fault! I then started to figure out areas we could cut costs, like maybe not doing the knee wall right now and just extending the slab, etc. I was trying to work with Larry and when I asked him to give us the price for just the concrete without the wall, he ghosted me too! He hasn't returned my texts or calls. Stay as far away from this company as possible! They clearly only care about commercial jobs and don't care if they don't complete jobs that don't pay them commercial money! They shouldn't take those jobs then! Our job wasn't cheap either! Now I have a half finished job, which after talking with some others in the business have told me they didn't do that great of a job on the little they did! It's a shame too because I have 3 other neighbors that are looking to have similar jobs done and were wanting to see the work to know who to hire. It definitely won't be Mizell's!
