Money Network Refuses to Return Stolen Funds Despite Evidence and Police Report
My family recently had a terrible experience with Money Network. Someone stole our wallet and withdrew $500 from our account using an ATM. We immediately filed a police report and even found out the license plate number of the truck the thief was driving. The police are actively searching for the culprit, but Money Network has the audacity to claim that there isn't enough information to return our stolen funds.
It's absolutely ridiculous that a company like this can get away with treating their customers so poorly. The people who review these cases are nothing but cowards. I've been calling them for six months now, and they keep telling me there's no news. They denied our claim and only told me two months after the fact. How can they call themselves a business when they treat their customers like this?
I have a feeling that Money Network is able to get away with this because they're based in a foreign country. Every single person I've spoken to has had a foreign accent, and I guarantee you that none of them are from America. They're all crooks, and I'm going to make sure that everyone knows it. I'll submit this review until the day I die because they owe me my Goddamn money.
Money Network Investigation: Slow, Ineffective, and Unfair
I recently had a problem with Money Network and I want to share my experience. My EIP card was stolen from my mailbox by my ex and she spent all the money. I reported it to Money Network as soon as I realized it was stolen and they said they would investigate. I told them who took it and what she spent it on (gambling). They told me it would take 45 days to complete the investigation. I told them I was broke and couldn't wait that long, but they didn't seem to care. I had to wait and wait, but my bills didn't wait. I lost my home and had to move into my pickup truck.
On or about the 45th day of the investigation, I received a deposit for $80. I was expecting $600, so I called Money Network again. They told me to wait for another week. After a week, I received a paper CV in the mail stating that the case was closed and I wouldn't get any more money back. I was shocked and frustrated. I told them who did it and what she did with the money, but they still denied me my money.
I feel like I've been ripped off and screwed at the same time. This is not the way to conduct business. I hope that Money Network has a collapse in their bank and loses all their assets. They need to feel what I feel. It's not fair that I lost my home and had to live in my pickup truck because of their slow investigation and lack of care for their customers.
In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend Money Network to anyone. They don't care about their customers and their investigations are slow and ineffective. If you want to keep your money safe, I suggest finding a different company to work with.
Money Network Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Disputes
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Money Network. Like a lot of other folks out there, I've had a pretty rough time with this company. So when I talked to the person on the other end of the line, who spoke in broken English, I had a hard time understanding what they were saying. It was frustrating, to say the least. And then, about a week later, I got a letter in the mail saying that I'd lost the dispute. Apparently, there were "red flags" about what I'd said, even though it was pretty obvious that one transaction had taken all my money.
I tried to dispute it again, but no luck. Money Network said the matter was closed, and that was that. It's crazy to think that I had to fight so hard just to get my own money back. And to top it all off, I felt like they were basically calling me a fraud. Not cool, Money Network. Not cool at all.
I'm definitely thinking about switching to Chime as soon as I can. I mean, why else would Money Network have people disputing transactions who can barely speak English or talk super fast like they're in a car commercial? It seems pretty fishy to me. So, I talked to this lady named Gabby from Money Network's customer service, and she told me that the card they sent me almost a year ago expired. The card was supposed to expire in June 2023, but they switched contracts from BOA to Metabank, and that's why it expired. Gabby and her supervisor, Jess, told me that Metabank doesn't have customer support, which is pretty frustrating.
For the past five months, they've been taking $5 out of my account every month, but they haven't sent me a new card. Instead, they just canceled the old one. I asked them to reimburse me at least $5 and give me access to my money, but they said I had to wait for a new card to access my money, which would then charge me an additional $5 for April.
All I wanted to do was pull my money out of the account and have it transferred, but they made it so difficult. Luckily, I was able to transfer the money today, but they charged me a $3 fee for it.
This was money that I worked hard for and was taxed for back in 2015 when I was with a temp agency. Somehow, I lost over $30 to them in fees from their runaround and new contracts that I never signed. It doesn't seem right that they can just take my money like that.
I asked them to reimburse me for the fees, but they wouldn't even waive the $3 transfer fee. They said they would send in a request, but they wouldn't CC me on the email, and they wouldn't reach out to let me know the status.

I been using the same card from Money Network for a good 5 years now. But recently, I had a really bad experience with them. My stimulus check money got stolen off my card! Can you believe it? I was so upset and angry. The thief used my money overseas to buy pizza from Papa John's, a PlayStation, and even gave tips to their family and friends. I immediately called Money Network to dispute the charges, but they told me I had to wait for paperwork. It's been a while now and I still haven't received the paperwork. But guess what? They denied my claim! I lost over $700 and I was in tears.
I tried to dispute and appeal the claim multiple times, but they kept denying me. I did some research and found out that this same thing has happened to other people too. It seems like Money Network is stealing our money! It's a huge scam. They're making money by stealing from us. It's funny because before my money was stolen, I barely had $100 on the card and no one touched it. But as soon as my payment hit, my money was stolen overseas that fast! And when I call them to dispute the charges, some foreign or overseas person answers.
Don't give up, people! The truth will eventually come out that Money Network is stealing our money from America and funneling it into foreign countries for their families and friends. One day they will get caught. They are giving out our card numbers and information. There will eventually be a class action suit against them, mark my words.
Oh, and by the way, I still haven't gotten my money back. And now I only have $6 in my account. I wonder if they're going to steal that too...

Since then, my account balance has been fluctuating by hundreds of dollars every day. For instance, I recently made a purchase of a car vacuum cleaner at Target for $31.97. Before the purchase, my account balance was $797.51, but after the purchase, it dropped to $501.32. This is a huge difference, and it's not the first time it has happened.
I decided to call the MoneyNetwork toll number on 7/11/20 to inquire about these discrepancies. However, their 24/7 customer service statement is false. I was on the phone for 20 minutes, and all I heard was, "We are unable to process your request, we are transferring you to the next available agent." It was like a broken record that never stopped.
I was furious at this point. I felt like I had been taken advantage of, and I wanted my money back. I searched for "corporate money network" on my search engine, but nothing came up except for the MoneyNetwork homepage. Then I searched for "MoneyNetwork reviews," and that's when I realized that I had been scammed.
I am writing this review to warn everyone to stay away from this company. Tell your employers, family, and friends to be aware of MoneyNetwork. They are nothing but American Greed Incarnate.
Money Network: Scam Artists and Poor Customer Service
I've been using Money Network for a long time now as the card that my sub-contracting business deposits our weekly pay onto. I haven't had many issues until recently. I got a call from someone who claimed to be from the fraud department, asking me if I authorized a purchase in Florida at a Walmart for $150. I said no, and he told me that my account was compromised and that I needed a new card mailed out. He asked me for some personal information and said that the new card would be expedited and should arrive in a few days. I waited for two weeks, but nothing arrived. I called Money Network back, and they said that they had no record of me speaking with anyone. They asked for my personal information again and said that a new card was coming.
Fast forward to this week, which is a month later after receiving a new card. Things were going well until I got my weekly pay deposited at 12:30 am. Not an hour later, I went to the ATM to withdraw it, but there was nothing there. I did see a transcheck purchase for $350 on the transactions, which I didn't make. I immediately called customer service and told them that someone made an unauthorized purchase on my account, and I wanted my money back. At first, the woman told me that she was sorry that it happened, and they would refund it back to my account in 24-48 hours. They would also send a new card. I called today to get the tracking number after 24 hours, and this woman told me that I had to fill out a form and wait 10 days to see if they would decide to refund my $350. But my new card with nothing on it was on the way.
I can't believe that this is how they run their business. They let people steal money out of accounts and then tell them that it's okay, they're refunding it back. Then they say, "Oh, sorry, you need to fill out forms and wait until we decide if you get it back." What a joke this place is. They're scam artists. Don't ever believe them when they call you out of the blue and say that they're from the fraud department. Hang up.
Money Network's Unfair Hold on My Card and Terrible Customer Service
I gotta say, if I could give Money Network a rating of zero stars, I totally would. Let me tell you, during this whole COVID-19 mess, I had a real shocker when I tried to pay my bills and my card just wouldn't work. Now, I know for a fact that my card doesn't expire until next year, so I was pretty confused. I called up the company and they told me that my job had put a hold on my card because my address wasn't updated. But hold up, isn't that illegal? I mean, my job shouldn't have any say in whether or not I can access my own money, right? So, I'm thinking that Money Network shouldn't have put that hold on my card in the first place.
But here's the real kicker: this company has been making me jump through hoops just to get my own money back. I've been calling them up, asking them to close my account, but they keep telling me that I need to send them more and more documents just to prove that I am who I say I am. First, they wanted a utility bill, but I live with roommates and the bill isn't in my name, so I couldn't send them that. Instead, I sent them a hospital bill and my Pennsylvania Unemployment, both of which had my name and address on them. But even after sending them everything they asked for, they still wouldn't lift the hold on my account.
So now, my only option is to close the account, but get this: they're making me email them a request to do so. I mean, seriously? I've been going back and forth with them for two whole weeks now, and they still haven't even acknowledged my request to close the account. And to top it all off, they're doing this during a pandemic when people are struggling to pay their bills. I mean, I'm one of those people, and $1873.82 is a lot of money for this company to be playing games with.
Honestly, I am beyond dissatisfied with the service I've received from Money Network. I really hope that someone from their social media department sees this review so I can talk to someone higher up in management. This is just wrong, plain and simple.
