My heating was working fine inquired about maintenance program on Saturday December 2, 2023 a technician did a preventive maintenance check after he completed the check he stated both my furnace needed to be replaced and was quoted $21,000 + price to replace immediately next day. After researching prices of furnaces I realized they are rip off company I canceled any installation. They must have turned off my heating system my heat hasn’t been working after their visit. I have an 89 years old mother at home and we have no heat.
Recommendation: Not trustworthy
Morris Jenkins provided a quote to replace the HVAC system in my home
Morris Jenkins provided a quote to replace the HVAC system in my home. They would not allow me to keep a copy of my quote because they said they are not allowed to leave anything "in writing". When they asked if I am going to accept, I said I had 4 other contractors coming the next day to provide a quote and I would choose the best from all offers. Well, Morris Jenkins showed me 3 options, they were twice as much as what ALL of their competitors provided, but in addition to this they showed a monthly payment. The monthly payment was suspiciously low so I asked him what the payment was based on, and he said it was different for everyone. I said NO, whenever you get something in terms of a monthly payment there is fine print that says it is an estimate based on a certain APR and a certain amount of months. LET ME WARN YOU: Morris Jenkins actually APPROVED ME FOR FINANCING AGAINST MY EXPLICIT REQUEST THAT I DID NOT WANT TO APPLY AND ONLY WANTED TO KNOW THE TERMS HIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE WAS BASED ON. I was approved for 9.99% and 120 months! I think he believed that if I were approved for credit I would accept his offer and ignore the rest. He was wrong and I have filed several complaints, including this one. Morris Jenkins also employed various scare tactics and other hard sell techniques. I would avoid this scam company at all cost. Every other contractor had no problems leaving me their quotes with me and answering questions regarding the specifics.

Scam artists at their best, tried to get away with charging $45,000. for a hvac system that should have cost $8,000. for a one story 1400 square foot home, not a manufactured home! shop people and get everything in writing! please don't sign your name, do not give these people any personal info, my credit score was reduced by 60 points because of their so called "shopping my loan rate". these are the worst and most evil kind of people = just waiting to take advantage of people - I beleive they are trained to do this
Want to say this experience was equally memorable and pleasant as prior ones. I would certainly love to see close up the hiring process for MJ. How does one company get all the techs, problem solvers and all-around great people. No one could have been more respectful yet friendly than the individual in question. He had that shy little boy appearance trying to mask his brilliance and expertise. I felt totally confident in his findings. Keep up the great work!
Excellent service, on time, professional and knowledgeable! Our service technician explained everything in full clarity and detail and took care of our system issues. He thoroughly went over the entire system top to bottom, identified several items that were improperly installed (making them less effective than if they were in the right places!) and convinced us of the benefits of becoming a Priority Advantage member. We highly recommend the company and when their TV ads say "We'll treat you like Family" they really mean it; and they treat their employees the same way. Kudos to the company for treating staff like people, not just a name or a number.
did great. On time and explained everything. Love Morris Jenkins
We've been Priority Advantage members since we bought our home a few years ago, and for good reason. Every time we've reached out to Morris Jenkins for any issue or for our biannual maintenance checks, they always deliver. We've never felt ripped off or pushed to buy something we didn't need. We're always left with peace of mind that the job was done well and that our home is safe for our family. Today, the technician provided us with all of those things, gave us options, and exceeded our expectation. I would highly recommend Morris Jenkins and we'll definitely be requesting the same technician for our next plumbing service appointment. Thanks!
Morris Jenkins is a reliable company and very timely in addressing our needs and concerns
Morris Jenkins is a reliable company and very timely in addressing our needs and concerns. Jarrett was the first to arrive at our home at exactly the time he said he would. After he spent all the time we needed to diagnose and explain to us what we needed he arranged for an engineer (Martin) to visit our home the same day. Martin first met with me to explain solutions to our ac problems and returned later in the day, at my request, to meet with my husband. After some negotiations we settled on a solution and Martin arranged for technicians (Jody and Scott) to come the next day to replace our unit. Jody and Scott also arrived when they said they would. Both men were respectful of us and helped us feel confident we'd made a right choice. I have to say that all four men we dealt with represented Morris Jenkins well. All spoke highly of their company and seemed to be men of integrity. They looked us in the eye, answered truthfully the hard questions, and instilled in us confidence that we were making right decisions. Although we didn't like the cost of replacing our unit we knew it was the right solution and each man we encountered made us feel confident that we were getting a fair price, and more importantly, Great and attentive service going forward. We are grateful to Morris Jenkins for taking care of us so quickly and professionally. Jarret, Martin, Scott and Jody- you all deserve raises for doing such a fine job and being wonderful ambassadors for MJ. Thank you!

Fantastic service. Diagnosed my problem quickly and efficiently and presented multiple options to solve. Then even helped find an issue we didnt know we had and went above and beyond to help us with that one.
Great experience! Technician was very thorough, and helpful in diagnosing the issue and providing options.
and *** were terrific. They came for standard biannual maintenance and spent 4 hours doing a great job. In addition, they were able to fix a number of other problems we asked them to look into. They were very knowledgeable and I had the expertise to do everything need in the one visit. I would be happy to have them do all our work. Plus they eat all the food and drinks I gave them. AND managed to play with the puppies ?
Technician performed Winter maintenance on my heat pump today and did a great job. Although he was efficient, he did not hurry through the process. He listened carefully to my concerns about a possible growth in the system and talked to me about options. He also texted me pictures of the inside of my system so that I can think about the option. I highly recommend this individual.
Her punctuality and expertise were nothing short of amazing!
Her punctuality and expertise were nothing short of amazing! In today's world, it's tough enough to get someone to show up at all, let alone a minute early! When I saw her pulling in, I had a feeling that she'd be reliable, and that proved right. Always appreciate when people come into my home and put booties on, despite the fact that there was no precipitation and we were walking into a clean area. She was already familiar with the situation as the dispatchers detailed notes had brought her up to speed. After explaining a few more relevant pieces of information, she went on her way, locating the problem. She found one issue where a backstop was missing, but went a step further and put the camera down the drain, to find there was also an object left by the builder impeding that drainage. The best part was that she gave me on the spot pricing. My home should be under warranty, and she said if I decided to proceed, I could simply schedule an appointment and ask for her. To have the reassurance that the person that found the issue would be the one to come back and fix it was incredible! Really gave me a feeling of confidence and not pressured to make an on the spot decision. She also took the time to explain the benefits of their membership program, which made sense for my situation. Highly recommend Morris-Jenkins for your needs. When you feel at the mercy of a company, they provide much needed reassurance, competence, accommodations, and friendly service from everyone.

The Morris-Jenkins plumber (***) arrived on the dot this morning to unclog a drain we had been unable to deal with. To be out so early on a frigid holiday week-end, he was a ray of sunshine. He listened to our comments and agreed what the problem was, that we had been unable to clear. An auger handled it quickly. Took him 15 minutes for the entire visit! Such a nice surprise, and we appreciated his professionalism.
We contacted Morris-Jenkins on a Sunday night, they have an immediate personalized response text process. *** arrived on time and help us with our sewer problem, in a very professional way. We are now members, and feeling at peace of mind for their reliable services.
was extremely personable AND knowledgable! He took the time to explain the nature of our issue, and laid out the options in a straightforward and understandable manner.Morris Jenkins rocks!
was amazing and helped me with my leaks even when I couldnt be there physically.
When I realized that our air conditioning was not working at 4:45 p
When I realized that our air conditioning was not working at 4:45 p.m. on a Tuesday, I called Morris Jenkins for help. I am a Priority member and have used their priority service before, so my expectations were high. Morris Jenkins technician, Robert arrived less than 45 minutes later, which impressed me from the start. In my past experiences with Morris Jenkins, their technicians have always been knowledgeable and courteous. Robert not only raised that bar, but he completely blew it away! He seemed to know exactly what he was doing from a technician's point of view, and he thoroughly and patiently explained our options for repairing the problem. I spent 35 years of my life working in the customer service industry, so I recognize and surely appreciate great customer service when I see it. In my opinion, Robert should be a poster child Morris Jenkins in every advertisement and commercial you produce. I cannot say enough good things about him, except to say that he's the sort of person you would love to have as a next door neighbor. I don't know what accolades the company can bestow upon Robert, but he represents the very reason we will continue to work with Morris Jenkins for all of out HVAC needs. My only disappointment that's that I am limited to giving five stars. Robert, and therefore Morris Jenkins, deserve at least 10 Stars. In the future, when I have further need for your service, I would be delighted to see Robert as our technician again to me, he truly represents what Morris Jenkins is all about

Very conscientious. Went above and beyond to do an excellent job.

I was very happy and thoroughly impressed with the team and the work performed at my home by Morris Jenkins
I was very happy and thoroughly impressed with the team and the work performed at my home by Morris Jenkins. On June 3, around 2pm, I had a water line break and was unsure what to do. (My late-husband handled jobs like this but now it was up to me to handle the problem.) I called 2 people before I called Morris Jenkins and while I was on the phone with one of them, who showed little interest in my situation, I got a text that Michael J was on the way. Click! Michael was great and he took the time to put together a 1st -rate team to get my water pipes repaired. He even helped me to locate my whole house shut off valve because I had. no idea where it was. R.J. F. was responsible for putting in my new hot water heater. He knows his stuff and he taught me a couple of things that I never knew about water heaters. Thank you R.J. C.J. S. was careful and methodical while cutting holes in my drywall. I had imagined it being a mess but he did a neat job and cleaned up after himself. Outside,Tyler P. did an awesome job. He is a man of few words but he let his work do the talking. He made my day by sparing my mature hydrangea bush as well as my old finicky rose bush. I had gone out early in the morning to say my goodbyes to my hydrangea bush but it is still here! Thank you, Tyler. Thank you Shawn for performing a final check and seal of approval on the the work performed. I appreciate your attention to detail. I know that Morris Jenkins is a little more expensive but I can personally say that I am glad I chose them and would recommend them to anyone in need of emergency plumbing.

On October 29th I had my annual **** winter checkup
On October 29th I had my annual *** winter checkup. As usual Morris Jenkins sends out professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly technicians. This time I had the privilege of meeting ***. He did an exceptional job. He noticed failing components and made suggestions about the twenty two year old duct work in my crawlspace. He *** up three proposals to address the failing components. My wife and I reviewed the proposals and selected to have a component replaced, a purification installation and requesting an estimate on replacing all the crawlspace duct work. A huge undertaking. On November 1st, Residential Specialist *** came, inspected the duck work and proposed two options for replacing partial duct work or all of it. Feeling confident in his excellent analysis, we decided to have it all replaced. The work was scheduled for the following day, November 2nd Two teams of *** and *** arrived on time at 8am. They're work was phenomenal. I couldn't believe how much duck work was removed and replaced. While *** used our main road as a workshop to manufacture the new housing for the duck work, *** and *** removed the old duck work and started replacing it. Thinking it would take all day to accomplish this revamp, I was surprised when then had completed the entire job by 1pm. I was also very appreciative of the cleanup they did. My crawl space is emasculate. The *** system is running perfectly and was successfully inspected on November 15th. Thank you *** for your wonderful and professional staff.
Sunday afternoon my kitchen sink backed up for the very first time in the 44 years I'd lived in my 51 year-old house
Sunday afternoon my kitchen sink backed up for the very first time in the 44 years I'd lived in my 51 year-old house. I've always been very careful about what went down my drains, but I called Morris-Jenkins because I've been a priority member for the last six years after they replaced my AC/furnace. Earlier this year while doing the Spring/Summer inspection the tech saw that the cast iron pipes under my house were deteriorating. The photos he took didn't lie, but as a senior citizen on a fixed income , I just wasn't prepared for such a massive project. I also wasn't surprised when Chris V, who came to check my drain, did a thorough inspection under my house and said it was time to change out the pipes. He couldn't even snake out the kitchen drain. The very next day at 8:00am a large crew in five trucks(!) showed up. Approximately eight or more hours later, they left. I had all new pipes and drains. Because I chose another priority plan, they also installed brand new toilets! The guys, Chris F., William B., RJ F., Jason C., and Daniel M., worked hard all day. I worried that they didn't seem to be taking a lunch break, but was assured they had been fed. These guys were all very professional and knew what they were doing the entire time. Of course, there was a big mess when they finished, but they cleaned up everything and RJ even mopped my kitchen floor. I tell people every chance I get how wonderful this company is, and I know some of them have become satisfied customers. There will be other projects in the near future, and it's a comfort to know that I will always get the same great service from Morris-Jenkins.

We called Monday morning due to a well problem
We called Monday morning due to a well problem. Water was everywhere in the yard and hardly any in the house. *** promptly came out and diagnosed our problem. Broken main water line from pump to house. We agreed on the price and said crew would be at my house Wednesday morning. Thank you ***. We feel like the lucky ones. *** immediately began locating and marking the water line, called 811 for the utilities located and marked. Awesome Specialist you have Morris Jenkins. Wednesday morning *** and *** came and immediately started hand digging due to utilities hadn't been marked. *** came also after finishing up a job he was on.Once utilities were located they began trenching, sleeved installed and water line installed, trench filled in, seeded, and cleaned up. It was a hot day and they worked through the heat and we kept them supplied with cold bottled water. *** made sure all water was running in house, hot water was working, and water pressure was holding. He made sure that trench was perfect before seeding. Through it all they were very pleasant to work with and great communication all through the day. Project was finished around 7pm. *** also found a few issues that should be addressed so we promptly call on Morris-Jenkins. We have an appointment Friday with ***. Once again we feel lucky. We will become Priority Customers as we have had nothing but wonderful, prompt, courteous specialists. Morris-Jenkins the 3 specialists mentioned above are a great asset to your company. We will request these gentlemen again. *** and *** Dancer
Morris Jenkins serviced our a/c and furnace for many years (after they took over from another service)
Morris Jenkins serviced our a/c and furnace for many years (after they took over from another service). They recomended repairs twice and came on a call when our a/c was not working. They recomended work on our furnace to the tune of $3,000. Since we had American Home Shield we called them and they sent out a service. The result was there was nothing wrong. What was supposedly a crack was a streak of silicone used to seal the unit. We called a supervisor out and after a long meeting between him and the repair man they determined that they were wrong and that it was in fact silicone. I wonder what would have happened if we has not gotten a second opinion. $3,000 down the drain? The second incident was when our a/c went out. They recomended $6,000 repair to the upstairs and outside coils. They further mentioned that upon start up the unit could go down and we could use a new compressor. Again second opinions and a call for the supervisor who backed up their first diagnosis. Three different services looked at the unit..all three remarked that the upstairs was in VERY good shape for being 11 years old (the warranty has recently expired). They all agreed that there was a small leak in the outside coil and repairs could be made and freon added. The result was Love Plumbing was able to find the leak and repair it by welding. They then added freon. The a/c worked perfecty. There was no need for a new compressor and the cost was $630. The a/c has been working perfectly for a month now. The only other time they recmended repair we went ahead and spent $3,000. I wonder now what it would have been if we had gotten a second opinion. How do you give a zero review? DO NOT TRUST THEIR DIAGNOSIS...GET A SECOND OPINION. I could put one error down to everyone makes mistakes but TWICE! BEWARE. I do have to note that they very quickly refunded $1,00 that they charged to order parts for the a/c.

Purchased the maintenance plan to have unit checked for summer and winter - twice a year
Purchased the maintenance plan to have unit checked for summer and winter - twice a year. In 2020, was informed by a Morris Jenkins employee that I needed a new system asap due to the holes in my unit which would cause carbon monoxide to enter my home through the vents. The empl wanted to enter my home with his carbon monoxide detector to determine how much carbon monoxide was entering my home. Before he entered, I asked what number will determine that I have carbon monoxide coming through the vents and was told the number would start around 6. The empl entered my home and the detector only detected 2, go to 3 and then back to 2. I was then told that he needed to be near a vent, the empl knelt down in front of the vent and the number pretty much stayed the same - 2/3 - nothing more. The empl proceeded to tell me that I needed a new unit, which cost around $8,000+ or could get the heater coils replaced for several thousand dollars. I had another Morris Jenkins empl come out (at a different time), checked my heating system, stated pretty much the same thing, came into my home and stated he needed to cut off my furnace because of the carbon monoxide...AND DID! After the empl left, I contacted two (2) licensed technicians (different companies). The first stated didn't detect any issues and if concerned, get a 2nd carbon monoxide detector. The second stated that he didn't notice a problem and that the holes in the bottom of the unit was because the system was old. Also, he proceeded to explain to me the safety mechanism with the furnace. I eventually canceled my service with Morris Jenkins and when asked why by the lady who answered the phone, I informed her of my reason and she pretty much said "OK." I waited for winter to come around again before writing this complaint. My carbon monoxide detectors have not gone off but now I leave my bedroom window slightly open because of what I was initially told and now I'm a little anxious.

He arrived on time on Friday and sat outside the house for about 10 minutes
He arrived on time on Friday and sat outside the house for about 10 minutes. When he came in, he inspected the leak for about 30 seconds. He went back to his vehicle for about 15-20 minutes, then came back to show me the quotes. He told me it was going to be $400 to fix the leak. I should replace the entire shower piping for $1200. The plumber (Michael) was pushy and tried to sell me on spending $10,000 to replace all the plumbing in the house. I paid the $400 for him to do the work of replacing about 20" of exposed pipe. He did the work in about 10 minutes. He went back to his vehicle for 15 minutes then came back to get payment. It seemed a little steep to pay $400 for 10 minutes of work and less than $20 in materials. But the leak was fixed. Well, so I thought. The Morris Jenkins plumber pointed out there was flood damage and recommended Flood Medic. Flood Medic has come out and is drying the space now (Monday). When they arrived this morning, they pointed out that there was a leak higher up the wall on the same shower pipe which had been leaking over the weekend. I called Morris Jenkins thinking they would fix the repair. The same Morris Jenkins Plumber (Michael) said I would have to spend another $1200 to replace all the pipe around the showerhead leak. I ask if they would take $400 off since they didn't fix the leak the first time and would be replacing the work they just did. They responded that they would give me 5% off if I spent $3000 to replace all the pipes in the bathroom. I called another plumber, and I am getting the whole bathroom done for less than $1200. I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. The plumber was pushy and made me feel uncomfortable. The experience was stressful. Morris Jenkins sends a misleadingly personal text that says "Mr. Jenkins told me..." at the beginning of every text. They have a higher price (2 to 3 times) than anyone else I called. I was not expecting such a huge price differential between them and other reputable plumbers. I am not impressed and will not be using them again. This has been a terrible experience.

I received plumbing services from Morris-Jenkins on 5/7 and 5/11 and was very pleased with the outcomes
I received plumbing services from Morris-Jenkins on 5/7 and 5/11 and was very pleased with the outcomes. Per my contact on 5/7, I did call Morris Jenkins again to have a new toilet installed which was completed by Brandon and his trainee, Travis on 5/13. Approximately two hours after they left, I realized the tank was so close to wall, I couldn't get the tank cover all the way back on. In other words, I just needed a little more space. When I called about this, the receptionist/scheduler told me that's just the way new toilets are made and can't do anything about it. I called back and ask to speak with a manager; instead, I agreed to allow the receptionist to contact Brandon & have him call me. Again, Brandon told me that's the way the toilet is made and it was installed correctly. I told him I didn't know there was a difference as I had had two other new toilets installed in my other bathrooms and this was not an issue. Because of my continued concern, I contacted and paid another plumber who was able to resolve this issue. On 5/17, I called Morris-Jenkins and asked to speak with a manager. I informed her of my concern and she told me I needed to speak with a plumbing supervisor and the person over him would be a plumbing director. I did receive a call from Troy, plumbing supervisor, and he stated that Brandon should have come back out to see if he could adjust it without causing possible leaking problems in the future. In terms of good customer service and doing the "right thing", I told Troy I completely agreed with him. Additionally, Troy stated that if I submit a receipt, he would see about issuing a refund for the amount paid to the other plumber ($50.00). I asked him several times how he defined a "legitimate receipt". From his response, I believe he was saying it could not be a receipt from "Kinko"? On this same day, shortly after hanging up, I called Troy back and left a message asking him to call me back. It is noteworthy that the following information is noted on Morris-Jenkins' webpage: "Mr. Jenkins told me to treat you like family. Fed up with poor service? So are we. That's why we treat our employees like family so they'll do the same for you." Regrettably, to date, I have not heard back from Troy. Respectfully Submitted, ***.

Christmas morning we wake to our downstairs heat not working
Christmas morning we wake to our downstairs heat not working. I didn't want to bother a technician on that day so I waited until the 26th. That morning I called multiple companies, one that I had used for repair before, and Morris Jenkins actually answered the phone. Denise took my call and was so pleasant. She told me how the process works and even told me about the maintenance plan in general conversation. She set up my diagnostic service call. Next I get a call from Peter S advising of his arrival time. He was on time and very professional. My ring doorbell video could be a commercial he was so professional. After a complete-check, check, and check (lol) he sat down with my husband and I and showed pictures and explained everything. The repairs needed were not only expensive he felt our units were not safe. 24 years old my furnaces needed to be replaced. He set up for Daniel O to see us later that evening. With a lot of explanation and even a discussion with my son, who owns a heating and cooling company in Alabama, he set us up to receive 2 new units to be installed the very next day at 0800. Promptly at 0800, after a precall to advise they were on the way, Scott M and CJ showed up to replace my units. My downstairs was 37 degrees and we were bundled up in our own home. The installers were fast and efficient cleaning up after themselves and very friendly. They truly did "come and go gently, gently." That evening and the next day we noticed that the temperature in the house was hotter than we had our thermostat set. I called and made an appointment for someone to come out. Once again, 30 minutes out I received a call from Chris C to say he was on his way. An unrelated issue of a circuit breaker caused my issue. But he checked everything just to make sure. Very professional and again a great experience. I may have been able to find the price a little lower somewhere else. But for the peace of mind I now have with Morris Jenkins and the quality of their employees, from the first person answering the phone to execution and follow up. I feel my money is well spent. Thank you Morris Jenkins. One last thing. Every one of these employees said they love working for Mr. Jenkins. That says a lot in a field that has so much competition. The other companies I reached out to. Still have not called back.

We had been having sewage problems off and on for the six years we have lived in our seventy year old home
We had been having sewage problems off and on for the six years we have lived in our seventy year old home. Turns out that all of the older homes, unless retrofitted, had Orangeburg pipe. You can read the history of this pipe online. Suffice it to say, seventy years is a real stretch for this material. The plumbers we called over the years told us that this pipe would be an ongoing issue. In addition, our line flowed through our neighbor's system, so any problem with us affected him. His Orangeburg was replaced about two years ago, which in turn, gave us a little breathing room...for a while. Then another flow problem and a breech in the yard. It was dug up, patched with pcv and did really well until 12/8. Called numerous plumbers, but they were all so busy we couldn't get anyone to come until the following week on 12/14. In addition to me and my wife, we also have my wife's mother, who is 92. So, a six day wait would have been a real inconvenience. This is also a gray water problem , so no clothes, dish, or body washing. I told my wife that we need to get somebody out here asap. I first thought of Morris-Jenkins, but I knew they would be expensive. But I also knew they had been around forever, and they are huge. For that, you pay more. I called Morris-Jenkins on the night 12/10. Marvin F came out at 8am on 12/11, and assessed the situation. He quickly called to try and get us set up for the next day, 12/12. By 1pm the next day, we had full service. These guys did a wonderful job. More of the trenching was done in the neighbors yard than ours. So, all of the Orangeburg pipe was taken out of commission and replaced with schedule 40 pvc. In addition, the cleanout that we had was installed backwards, so we had a built-in low point from the get-go. They installed two cleanouts and installed them correctly. They removed every bit of cast iron pipe they cut loose from under the house. This cast iron was leaking in several places and some of the gray water pipe had been improperly supported and was bowed. They even replanted a climbing Carolina Jasmine that had fallen over because the trellis had broken several weeks before. I must say that I just do not have any complaints about this company. Sure it was a little more expensive, but I can tell you that I got my money's worth. You cannot get this kind of service and not pay for it. The fleet of service vehicles, salaries, insurance that they are responsible for, makes sure that they can help you right away, if necessary. I just can't thank them enough.

The folks at Morris Jenkins are amazing!
The folks at Morris Jenkins are amazing! We had an extremely bad experience with American Home Shield warranty company concerning this issue with our heating system. AHS sent a tech from United Heating and Air to analyze our problem. We had absolutely no heat. The AHS tech concluded the furnace was fine, that it was a malfunctioning thermostat. Needless to say, AHS does not cover electronics (wireless thermostat). AHS closed the work order as completed. Left us hanging in a cold house. They had no intention of sending a second tech to verify the finding. We have paid for the 3x3 combo package for a few years, and had paid $107 for this service call. We dumped American Home Shield. I had previous experience with Morris Jenkins for heating and air in a home I owned several years ago. Very pleased with their technical expertise and care for the customer. We called them to install our tankless hot water heater at our current home. Love it! So we decided to call the best, Morris Jenkins to address our heating issue on Saturday morning 16 Jan 21. Their technician, Andrew, arrived at our house within the hour. He spent about an hour under the house checking every aspect of our 17 year old furnace. Andrew presented pictures, videos, and full explanation of everything he found. The results were not pretty, even dangerous. Error codes were present on the panel. Cracks in the heat collector and heat exchanger. Three junctions alerted to propane gas leaks, not to mention carbon monoxide in the crawl space. Oh, by the way, the thermostat was fine. Considering the age of the system, the cost for repairs on the existing system, and the scary safety issues, we elected to replace it with a new heating unit. We also elected to replace the cooling unit (also 17 years old) at the same time. Chad arrived at house house to show us our options for replacement systems and the cost for each. We selected the replacements and agreed to the cost which comes with a 10-year warranty. Next morning, Sunday (yes Sunday!) the installation crew, Ryan and Dalton, were at our house around 8:30. They were finished around 1:30. Complete installation of new heating and cooling systems. Everything was done...clean-up, system testing, showing us everything we needed to know, asked if we had questions, even scheduled the county inspector for us! We are vey impressed with the technical knowledge/capability of Ryan and Dalton. They were extremely polite to us during the whole installation. Can't say enough good things about them. Later in the afternoon, the Morris Jenkins electrical expert came. We didn't get his name. He ensured the electrical aspects of the installation were all correct and met code. We were happy, warm and cozy on Sunday evening. Thanks to Andrew, Chad, Ryan and Dalton, and the electrical inspector for everything. Thank you Morris Jenkins. We look forward to many years of great service!

I paid Morris Jenkins almost $300 for no value add to the situation
I paid Morris Jenkins almost $300 for no value add to the situation. Using them was a waste of time and money. I called Morris Jenkins on 6/16 because I noticed a patch of mold in my garage and believed there was a plumbing issue. It's a complicated situation because I'm in a condo, my neighbor lives above my garage and then I live above them. I figured a large company like Morris Jenkins would be well equipped to identify where the leak was, maybe their experience, technology, or equipment to make diagnostic easier. The next day they came out and I paid their $95 fee to come out just to have the tech tell me he can't do anything, he then went up to look at the neighbor's bathroom right above the leak and said he couldn't identify where the leak was (this is important). Because of COVID I did not enter my neighbor's property. So I had no idea what he saw in the neighbor's bathroom. I had a company remove the mold and drywall in my garage the next day, and the Morris Jenkins tech came back that afternoon. He looked up and said, yep there's a leak. We then had the neighbor run water to see if it was their pipe, and then I ran water to see if it was my pipe, it turned out to be my drain stack. He then said he wanted to remove my toilet to try and diagnose the issue. He removed the toilet, looked down with a flashlight, put the toilet back and then charged me about $200. I was not told he was going to charge me to remove the toilet, I thought it was part of the diagnostic. I've removed a toilet, it's not difficult and it sure shouldn't cost that much. He then told me it would be about $500 more dollars to do the work to identify the leak and then an additional cost to repair. It's at this point I went onto Nextdoor and found a local plumber. He came in, took a look at the neighbors and my bathroom and told me that the tech never should have removed my toilet, he could tell the leak was in my neighbor's wall and there was clearly water damage in the and his guess was that someone drove a nail or screw right into my pipe when trying to hang something on the wall. He said he would recommend cutting a hole in my neighbor's ceiling and he would be able to look in the wall and generally locate where the leak is coming from, and he said he would have looked up to see if the leak was coming from above before ever removing my toilet. He also showed me pictures and I could clearly see the water damage was on the wall, below the height of where someone would hang something so his diagnosis made sense. He charged me $85 for coming out and locating the leak far less than the $500 more dollars that Morris Jenkins would have wanted to do the same work. I paid $300 and they had not yet even identified the leak, and wanted $500 more before even getting to the repair, which would have been $300+ according to the Morris Jenkins tech. I paid the other guy a bit over $300 to identify and repair the leak.

Morris Jenkins A/C technicians have not fixed my problem going on 9 years
When they installed a new system in our home, the level of humidity immediately went up, creating an ongoing mildew problem in our furnished basement. Each year, technicians come out when I've asked for help diagnosing the issue, as well as the scheduled maintenance visits, and they are puzzled and offer advice such as "you need to run a fan 24/7" or "this system is not what we would put in today - it's the wrong one for your home", or "I'll let my supervisor know to call you about this".
I'm at wits end this summer dealing with this issue again, as usual, and I've never had such a lackadaisical response from a supervisor (Matt) who questions the issue and who's responsible for fixing it. It's unprofessional and aggravating to have them continue to dodge the issue INSTEAD OF FIXING IT.
Desired outcome: Repair or replace the unit to remedy the mildew and humidity that began with the installation of their A/C unit.
We were charged an additional $200 for running and extra line to the tankless hot water heater they installed which ended up to be unnecessary
We were charged an additional $200 for running and extra line to the tankless hot water heater they installed which ended up to be unnecessary. Also, we haven't received any information about the warranty for the unit they installed.

On 10/18, a group from Morris Plumbing visited to address a garage leak
On 10/18, 3 or 4 men from Morris Plumbing arrived to repair a garage leak. They had previously provided a quote. While one worked, the rest observed. After they finished, the leak persisted. They refused further repairs without additional payment from ALLSTATE. A year later, the issue remains, forcing us to frequently shut off the water. Their proposed solution was a complete plumbing overhaul, which is unaffordable for me at 84, especially since the initial problem was never resolved.

Every single time they say something different is wrong We have paid 19.99 a month for 2 years for their maintenance and they always find something wrong. Was not told about potentially harmful rusted coil that is crumbling but was sold an air purifier and electrical work that cost 1800 dollars. Not more than 3 months later during their routine maintenance they show me pictures of a coil that looks like it should have been replaced years ago and when I ask why weren't we told about this BEFORE we spent 1800 dollars on repairs we didn't need if this was the case all the technicians could say is I don't know and now they are saying we need a new unit that costs 10,000 dollars. We tell them no and the first time we turn on the air conditioner it doesn't work now.

We are filing a complaint because we feel that we were overcharged and taken advantage of
We are filing a complaint because we feel that we were overcharged and taken advantage of. System also does not work. Description of the products sold was vague and did not list the specific units installed. After researching, they sold us a unit that is slightly higher than that required by current building code. Paying $16,000 for this is a lot higher than the industry average. We feel we were taken advantage of. Our in-laws called to discuss this with Morris-Jenkins on our behalf. An installation manager called and said a sales representative would call him to discuss this. This has not happened at time of filing. We have been advised by others who have similar systems installed that we were taken advantage of. If it were just a little expensive more than other installers is one thing, but we feel like we are paid way too much.

Had paid over $800 in past year on unnecessary services and service contract. They tried to force me into buying $3000 of repairs not needed Last Summer and most recently on March 7th, we had two service calls. In Summer, technician tried to sell me a $500 compressor fan motor which was not needed. He then told me my Freon was low, which we later found out he overcharged system and had to make a sale. This past March, as part of furnace tune up, technician felt it was necessary to try to sell me a new evaporator cool for $2500. We questioned the company as this was not the first time they tried to up sell something to me. Each time they come, the technician disappears for 10-15 mins to talk to his supervisor after the service call is done but before they talk with customer. I believe this is so they can figure out what pet to get over making me pay for. First time was a $375 repair for a replacement capacitor which I did myself for $19. When they came in March this year, the repair person told me my evaporator coil was leaking Freon. The repair was $3000. What was even more suspicious is he offered to reduce the price if I also did the fan motor he tried to sell me last summer ! We had Carrier corporation ( maker of unit) give us another certified repair company to come out and assess the system fully for us. They found nothing wrong with the compressor fan motor, it was putting out the factory level of amps, and had no signs of leaking oil despite what the Morris tech said. Further, I was with him and he went over entire evaporator coil with high end leak detector. Not a single link. further, he told me it would show oil on the coil if even the smallest leak, not a drop of oil. I spoke to the supervisor at Morris Jenkins, "Travis" who was completely rude and told me he was unwilling to refund my service contract and previous Freon repair at a total refund of $800. The Carrier tech also noted that they had overcharged the system and could have damaged it, meaning the $150 Freon charge was also bogus. This company is fraudulent, dishonest, and should have their license pulled in state of NC. I want a full refund of $800 for my service charges, damages, and refund of service contract ASAP.
Someone did something to our unit We bought a house less than one year ago with a new HVAC unit
Someone did something to our unit We bought a house less than one year ago with a new HVAC unit. We had concerns with the ductwork. We asked for technician to come out. 2 people assess the unit and say it was fine but our ductwork needed replacing. The unit is less than 1 year old and although we didn't agree on day one to replace the ductwork, we did agree to the $12k repair the day after. Then suddenly our less than one year old system quit on is before the ductwork was done. Giving the negative complaints I've heard, Im afraid they either didn't evaluate the system correctly or they did something to it to upcharge us. Spoke with tech today via text and the repairs to the system will have to be covered by another visit as it is not part of the ductwork stuff they are doing this week. Again, system is less than a year old and was diagnosed as being fine just a few days ago.

1 unit replaced over $12K
1 unit replaced over $12K. Quoted under $8K from 2 other AC companies after feeling swindled. 2nd unit only needed $26 capacitor they wanted $1800. I owned my 2 AC units for 12 years. The first unit stopped working the summer of 2019 while I was traveling on business. My wife called Morris Jenkins and they told us we need a new system and new refrigerant due to code. They replaced the 1 unit for over $12K. As luck would have it my 2nd system stopped working shortly after. Tech/rep from MJ came back and quoted us $1K "to get us thru the rest of the summer", and $4K to get us thru the year. Luckily my neighbor used to be in the AC business. He quickly diagnosed I needed a $26.00 capacitor replaced that he ended replacing in about 20 minutes. This unit has been operating fine since the summer of 2019.I am convinced they train their technicians to up sell and would suspect even commissioned to do so. They took advantage of the fact that I was away and was dealing with my wife on the $12K from system. After my experience with my 2nd system I received quotes from 2 other AC companies for under $8K for the same system installed. This is a very dishonest company and prey on customers who are at a disadvantage. Buyer beware!

Morris Jenkins charged me for service they did not provide and will not provide a refund Morris Jenkins gave me a quote for an AC system on July
Morris Jenkins charged me for service they did not provide and will not provide a refund Morris Jenkins gave me a quote for an AC system on July 5th. Initially, I accepted this quote and decided to move forward with the work. I gave them a credit card that goes to my home equity line of credit to pay for the work. After doing some additional research, I felt that the quote was way too high and decided to get other quotes. Sure enough, the quote given by Morris Jenkins was more than double the next highest quote. After discovering that, I decided to cancel the AC replacement project with Morris Jenkins. I called the same day that I accepted the quote to cancel the project. I was assured by the representative on the phone that they would cancel the transaction and I wouldn't receive a charge. If I did receive the charge, she said, they would reverse it. I checked my account a few days later and discovered that Morris Jenkins had charged the entire project, which is over $12,000, on 7/7. I decided to give them a few days to send the refund. I looked back at my account on 7/20. The $12,000+ charge still had not been refunded. I called Morris Jenkins again and the customer service rep promised me that they would get it taken care of and it would be refunded. 3 days later, 7/23, the charge is still showing on the account. I've disputed this charge with my bank, but will continue to reach out to the company to get this refunded. Between the outrageously high quote, sales person who was very aggressive, and not refunding a charge that should not have occurred, I will not do business with this company again.

I called them for a service agreement on 3/30
I called them for a service agreement on 3/30. They said that I had a leak. Part replaced twice but A/C not working right. I called Morris Jenkins for a service agreement in March this year. On 4/6 the first visit, the tech said that I had a leak and that he could do a leak search. On 4/14 a different tech said I had a leak and needed a coil. on 4/27 the coil was put in and I was charged $1404.98. I called again in July because A/C was not cooling properly.( Air was set on 76 degrees, temp in house was 81 degrees). A tech came, said it was the coil again & the 2nd coil was installed on 7/16. This installer left uncovered holes in the furnace closet, did not put items back as he found them and did not clean up his mess. On 7/20, I noticed that he temperture in my home was 80 degrees and I had it set on 76 degrees. I called and asked for a manager and he sent a tech that arrived around 10:30am.He stated that the installer did not put in enough coolent. I was sure that the problem they created had been corrected. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE IN THE HEAT OF THE DAY TO CHECK THE SYSTEM'S OPERATIONS.They are saying that my house is the reason for the difference in the temperature but I had no problems prior to their visits. My house was insulated when I has siding put on my house and Duke Energy sends a report that says I'm among the most efficient homes in my area. My heating and air was installed in December(less than 3 years old). In the afernoon the temperature has varied up to 5 degrees. When I called Morris Jenkins in March all I wanted was a service agreement to meet the terms of the warranty. I HAD NO ISSUES WITH MY AIR PRIOR TO THEIR VISIT. This has been a very stressful situation because 6 different techs were in and out of my home during COVID19. I truly feel that Morris Jenkins took advantage of me. I want my A/C to be restored to proper working order as it was before their visits or a full refund.

Extreme overcharge for garbage disposal
Extreme overcharge for garbage disposal. I have an annual service contract with Morris Jenkins. The call to my home yesterday was initially for a clogged garbage disposal, which is to be covered under the annual contract. While here, the service man said my 3yr old disposal was rusting and I would have ongoing issues with it grinding food. So, he suggested a replacement that he had in the truck. He brought in price sheet for *** Disposals. 3 price options... I chose the middle price ( I thought all extremely expensive) $650/ $750/ $1,000+ I choose the middle range $750... he said with tax it would be $805.45 ... I trusted them! He said the price was so high because of 9 yr warranty they offered. So, in telling friends about it, they suggested that I look around for price of that model. The highest price I found was $269.00! I called the manufacturer only to find that 9 yr. warranty was from them and would be the same at any retail price... which is the retail price of the disposal purchased anywhere! I called Morris Jenkins and the plumbing super returned call ... with ridiculous excuses for the additonal overcharge ...and then he offered me a 10% discount! Beware ... this company is a rip off ...they are salesmen and not service men. ( I called various plumbers today and found that the going rate to replace a like disposal in Charlotte is between $90/ $130. Plus their initial visit was to be no charge because I am under annual contract to have services like a clogged disposal taken care of at no charge! ( also, they left no warranty card for me to fill out... I now ask...were they going to fill it out in their name to honor what they told me was "their" 9 year warranty.?) When I spoke with *** they said for me to register with them on the phone in my name! Morris Jenkins is big at advertising ... bait and find a way to make you buy a contract for inclusive services that they try to make up in other charges! Model *** Evolution Pro 750 price range s from various dealers : $260.00 to $275.00

Called Morris Jenkins on 3/21 to come out and put freon/refrigerant in my AC unit
Called Morris Jenkins on 3/21 to come out and put freon/refrigerant in my AC unit. Ended up with $1400 bill that ended up being unnecessary. ***! I called Morris Jenkins on 3/21 to come out and put freon/refrigerant in AC unit. This same thing had happened years before and I knew that's all it probably needed. After technician came out and looked at it, we did notice that the fan on unit had fallen off. He also said the motor needed to be replaced. Both of those items he quoted a price of $1330 plus tax, which brought my total bill to $1423.10. He had to order the parts and come back to install on 3/26. On 3/26, he came back to install parts and after installing parts to unit, he then told me that unit needed Freon/refrigerant. I have had Freon/refrigerant put in before and am aware that it costs roughly $80-$85 per lb. He quoted me a price of over $500.00 just for Freon/refrigerant. I thought this quote seemed a little too high just for Freon/refrigerant. Even if the price had gone up, something told me this seemed a little much for it to be a such a drastic price increase from what I had previously paid. I told him to hold off on the Freon/refrigerant for a few days. I called another supplier, told him the situation, they came out and looked at the unit...and proceeded to tell me that I did not even need the motor replaced and although I did indeed need a new fan, that the fans are less than $50. They told me that Morris Jenkins just ripped me off. I am a single mother with only one income in my home. The problem is that they clearly saw a situation that they could easily use to profit for their own benefit because I have no knowledge of knowing what needed to be fixed on my unit until someone experienced looked at it and told me. But when another experienced professional comes out and tell me something totally different and tells me that I just got ripped off, that is upsetting and knowing that this business operates in this manner just to make more money and pocket more commission is beyond kindness, especially in this time that we are going through as a nation with a global pandemic with people being out of work and losing their jobs. I expect this to be looked into, and I am requesting a refund!

My AC unit is not even two years old and they did not check with me to see if I wanted to use my warranty in place, instead they charged me 361
My AC unit is not even two years old and they did not check with me to see if I wanted to use my warranty in place, instead they charged me 361.00. On Saturday June 6 in the evening my spouse and I noticed that the AC was not working. It was 80 degrees upstairs. We changed the filters and turned the heat from auto to on. After about an hour no change, it continued to get hotter to about 84 degrees. We called our contractor and no one was available to come out and they suggested I call a bigger company and to mention that I have parts warranty. I did this and I called Morris-Jenkins. I mentioned I had parts warranty, but all they said was okay. They said someone could come between 10 p.m. to midnight. Meanwhile my home was getting warmer and I have three children. I had no choice but to allow Morris-Jenkins to complete the work, but I was never asked about my parts warranty. I was forced to use their generic part that they had on the truck, instead of getting the option to use my warranty. My AC unit is not even two years old until July 19. I have tried to call Morris-Jenkins back several times to get them to file warranty with the manufacturer and they refuse. They have given me excuses, telling me they only cover five major parts and my pat was not one that they cover. Of course if they would have installed my unit then it would have been covered. All I am asking is to be reimbursed because I have warranty on my AC and I wanted to use my warranty. I was put in a position to pay them out of pocket because I did not want my children to go through the night sweating and not having proper AC. They have not shown any compassion towards they situation. All they continue to tell me is that most major contractors only cover 5 parts, and I have talked to other contractors and I am finding out that it is not true. They need to come and take this part out of my AC, order a part from carrier enterprise which is who my warranty is through and they need to install that part in there. The guy I spoke with over the phone even told me they order some of their parts from carrier enterprise. I have no idea if that part was or was not from carrier. I feel as if I am being taken advantage of because they knew I needed my AC fixed immediately because of my children.

Predatory sales practices and overpriced services
Predatory sales practices and overpriced services. We used Morris Jenkins to repair our HVAC system back in June I had seen their adds and bout into their Priority Advantage system hook line and sinker. The first trip out to clean our AC unit was fine and I will say positive. Then it came time for our furnace inspection. I was late in scheduling and had run our furnace several times already leading up to our check on November XX XXXX with no issues at all. The tech showed up on time for the maintenance check and promptly went to work. After performing all his checks, roughly 30-45 minutes, the tech came down from the attic and said he was going to put his tools up and then come back to go over the report. Upon coming back in the tech begins to explain that my system is old (true is is 16 years old) and that he found rust on the heat exchanger, "biological" growth in the air handler, and leaking oil on the blower motor. He then assumingely hands me a pricing sheet with options on it. The "cheapest" option was to replace the heat exchanger to the tune of $2,935 (that's INCLUDING the priority "discount") the most expensive option came to $5,242 (with the discount) and included a new heat exchanger, blower motor, cleaning, and air purifier. I informed the tech that I would not be doing any of those options at this time. He disbelievingly looked at me and deployed a scare tactic stating, "well, it's a safety issue and when your carbon monoxide detectors go off you need to leave." This statement shook me and we didn't run the heat the remainder of that night until another company came out to look at the system. Turns out that my furnace does has some minor rust forming on the heat exchanger, and does have some dust on the blower motor but is 100% perfectly safe at this point in time and all issues noted are typical of a 16 year old unit. Since we had another company out we asked them to quote a replacement furnace, their pricing for an ENTIRE new Trane furnace was $3,700 installed or $4,700 for an upgraded variable speed unit. It's also worth noting that Morris Jenkins doesn't disclose what brands they use (I suspect because they are low tier brands). Needles to say they deploy dirty sales tactics but they're also SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than other HVAC companies.

Unnecessary work performed We are new to North Carolina
Unnecessary work performed We are new to North Carolina. We just moved into our new house about a week prior. The air conditioner stopped working one night so we called Morris Jenkins. They came out the next day when I was at work, but my wife and 2 4 year olds were home. The technician told my wife that it was a blown fuse and that it was fixed but that he was almost knocked down with the smell of gas coming from our crawl space. At no point did he call the gas company, emergency services or even ask my family to leave until it could properly be ventilated. They turned the gas off until an estimator could come out that night. The estimator stated that the furnace was not operational and that it needed to be replaced and was very forceful in trying to get us to replace the second zone heating and air conditioning also. We could not afford it so we agreed to replace the first zone furnace because they made us fear for ours and our children's lives with the gas leak. Work was performed the next day. While an obviously new person showed my wife how to operate the new thermostat, she asked him about the gas leak. He clearly had no idea what leak she was talking about. When she asked him again, he remembered, "oh yeah, I was almost knocked down with the smell." He used the same exact wording, like it was a script. How could it smell under there if it was turned off and ventilated so it was safe for us to stay in the house? I've worked in emergency services for over 10 years and the answer is that there was no leak. They would have had my family exit the house , called the fire department and gas company until the house was ventilated and deemed safe. I called Piedmont Natural gas and confirmed that if a contractor smells gas, they must call the gas company. The next day, I asked for a very detailed invoice detailing absolutely everything that was done. I received that invoice and no gas line work was done, especially no pressure tests for anything to determine where the leak was. I asked the technician to send me pictures of the old furnace which they stated had a burnt out mother board, blower motor that didn't work because it was covered in dust. I received the pictures and they showed some dust on the blower wheel and no discoloration on the circuit board, whatsoever. Moreover, the previous homeowners were meticulous and had all the units serviced often and kept all of the records. As a side note, we had two plumbers in the crawl space earlier that week to give us estimates on stove work and there was no gas leak. I had the pictures reviewed by hvac techs and they stated that there was no overheating on that circuit board. Morris *** used fear mongering to get us to spend $8400 on a new furnace.

Morris Jenkins Inc
Morris Jenkins Inc. failed to properly perform duties that they advertised and stated that where done when they were not. We have been Morris Jenkins Priority Advantage members since Oct. 2017 paying a monthly fee of $38.00. On October 9th Kevin with Morris Jenkins came to our house to perform the fall maintenance. When service was completed Kevin informed me that the heat exchange valve was bad and needed to be replaced right away and quoted a price of $2300.00. He was very persistent about having it paid for and arrangements made to have the work completed right away. We declined due to suspicion of inaccuracy and felt we needed a second opinion. We hired a local company which sent out one of their HVAC technicians on October 19th. He thoroughly checked our entire system and saw no need for any major repair but did inform us of massive amounts of mold growth and accumulation in our duct system. The technician took pictures and gave us an estimate on cleaning and sanitizing the duct system. On October 22,2020 the same local company sent out an expert on mold removal to verify what was found on the visit of the 19th. He stated that the mold had been accumulating for some time and Morris Jenkins should have spotted the mold. Later the same day I contacted Morris Jenkins and spoke with Randy, a service supervisor and told him of the issue, sent him pictures that were taken by the local HVAC company. Randy reviewed the pictures and requested to send out a field supervisor and their contracted mold removal company. On the morning of October 23,2020 Cody from Morris Jenkins and Lyle, the mold removal contractor came to our house and inspected the duct work, took pictures and spoke to me about what they saw. Cody admitted that this was an issue that should have been spotted by any technician from their company over the last three years of maintenance.. Cody then informed me that he was going to take his findings back to the office and review them with Randy the technician supervisor. Later that afternoon I received a call from Randy. He informed me that Morris Jenkins did not want loose me as a customer but I would be required to absorb some of the cost of the necessary work to be done which was quoted to be $2300.00. On Saturday October 24 I contacted Morris Jenkins and demanded that a message be forwarded to Mr. Dewey J, the owner and CEO of Morris Jenkins. The secretary took my name and number and assured me that someone would be in contact with me. Later the same day I received a call from Mark, the service director for Morris Jenkins. He told me that he was familiar with our situation due to the fact that he was in the meeting that he and Randy had with the technician Kevin. Mark informed me that he could not tell me a lot about the meeting but did inform me that Kevin the technician did admit to seeing the mold while he was here on October 9 and choose not to say anything about it to us.. I no longer wish to have any Morris Jenkins employees in my home due to the fact that I feel all of their employees are negligent and have no problem with putting my family's health in jeopardy. I am hiring a different company to take care of the mold removal and any future maintenance or work that needs to be done. Our family physician has recommended we all get chest x-rays due to the time we have spent in our home breathing in the mold particles. We have a disabled child in the home with a suppressed immune system and this whole situation has caused multiple stressors for the family. It is incomprehensive to me how a company can put a family in danger and be so casual about it not to mention they have the audacity to request money from us to help fix a problem they are completely responsible for.

Refused to refund money after spending $1200 on an HVAC repair and the next day my HVAC unit stopped working
Refused to refund money after spending $1200 on an HVAC repair and the next day my HVAC unit stopped working. I contacted this company, because we noticed our HVAC unit was not cooling our home as well as normal. It was running, but our home was not as frigid as usual. The technician arrived and surveyed the unit in the attic and said there weren't any problems. He went outside to survey the unit and reported he "believed" we may need a new battery on the unit and that was the reason the unit was not cooling well. He said the fan was running, but not the compressor. He recommended a battery and flush the line for normal maintenance and quoted $700. We agreed and he installed the battery and nothing happened. Next he said we needed a "hard start" for the unit which was an additional $400. We agreed and he put the "hard start" on. The unit began to run. Next he said there was a noise coming from the unit and he thought maybe oil would help. I asked how much the oil would cost and he said an additional $250. I told him "no thank you" and he said he would call the supervisor to see if he could do it for free. The supervisor agreed and he added the oil. He also promised he would service our other unit while he was here and did not, but said if we signed up for their priority advantage plan they would return to do the work later. We agreed and signed up for the plan. We spent nearly $1250 for the work. Fast forward less than 24 hours later and the air stopped working! I called the company and they sent out a new technician. The new technician arrived and said we needed a new compressor! I asked him why the previous technician didn't just recommend that and he said he was trying to save us money. Well guess what happened next? I asked him would the $1200 we spent the day before be credited towards the new compressor and he said no they could only credit us $600! I asked why wouldn't we get a full credit since it was less than 24 hours and he said that was the best he could do. He called his supervisor and came back to us to say his supervisor said that was the best he could do. He said with the $600 credit we would then pay an additional $2500 for the compressor. I let him know we would not be willing to give them additional money when the work that we paid for the day before was unnecessary. We could have paid $3100 for the compressor the first day and saved $600. At that point I asked him to just refund us the $600 and we would get a quote from another company. He said he would not refund us anything and the best they could do is put the $600 towards a new compressor with their company. I told him I refused to give Morris *** more money. I called his supervisor and he did not want to return any of our money. I told him to take all of the equipment the technician installed the previous day off of our unit and we would get someone else to service the unit. I asked him to refund all of our money except a service fee. He refused to do that and agreed to give us back $600 of the money. I believe this was all a rip off to get the most money they could from us. We could have paid for the compressor the first day instead of handing over $1200 one day and them returning for an additional $2500 the next! Also I reviewed the receipt the first and the first technicians notes and he said our compressor sounded like metal on metal when it was running which is not true at all! He didn't offer us a new compressor either which is what he put in his notes on the receipt that we did not see until after he left and emailed it. He put notes on the receipt that are untrue to help build a case for all of the unnecessary work that was completed. This is horrible business. They have not stood by their word of providing excellent customer service.
