Disappointed by Lack of Communication and Follow-Through: Honest Review of Viking Steel Structures
I was really excited to give Viking Steel Structures a try. I had heard great things about them, and their prices seemed unbeatable. So, I went ahead and submitted a request for a quote on one of their buildings, confident that I'd hear back from them soon.
But, sadly, that wasn't the case. Days went by, and I never received a response. At first, I thought maybe there was an issue with my request or that their team was just busy. But after a few more attempts at reaching out, I started to feel frustrated.
I explained to them that I was currently deployed overseas and that email was my primary mode of communication. I was really looking forward to doing business with this company, but their lack of response was starting to make me think twice.
Finally, after reaching out via Facebook and waiting even longer, I finally got a response from their team. But, even then, I still didn't get the quote I was hoping for.
As a customer who was eager to spend thousands of dollars with this company, I was disappointed by the lack of attention and follow-through. It's not easy to understand why a company would be hesitant to email a quote to a customer who's ready and willing to purchase from them.
Overall, I have to say that I wouldn't recommend Viking Steel Structures to anyone else. If you're looking for a reliable and responsive company to do business with, you're better off going with someone else.
Impressive Service and Craftsmanship from Viking Steel Structures - A+ Installation Crew!
Okay, lemme tell y'all about Viking Steel Structures. I had the pleasure of working with Diego, who was mad cool but unfortunately bounced before my building was ordered. We talked on the phone and emailed back and forth and Diego always hit me up quick, no lagging. When I finally got my ducks in a row and was ready for my building, Viking was hella patient with my slow self - it took me over a year to get it together. Once I sent 'em some pics of the foundation and permit info, they hit me back with the building in like 3 weeks - that's some speedy service.
Now here's the best part. The installation crew was A+. These dudes were polite as all get out and professional to the max. I'm talkin' next level, ya heard? And the craftmanship was off the hook. This building might not be fancy, but it's sturdy as all get out and I know it's gonna last me a long time. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Viking Steel Structures again, that's for sure. Shoutout to Sarasota, FL - ya'll need to hit these guys up pronto.
Disappointing Experience with Viking Steel Structures: A Cautionary Tale
I recently had an experience with Viking Steel Structures, and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. Despite reading positive reviews on their website, my personal experience left a lot to be desired. After having my garage installed, I noticed that the garage doors were not level and were misaligned by three inches! This was very concerning for me, as I had to pay an additional $850 to a contractor to fix them. It was quite an expense, and I was not pleased with having to incur additional costs for a job that should have been done properly from the get-go.
As if this were not enough, I also found that the siding on the front, side and back of the shed was missing screws to hold it in place. The minimal screws that were present were not even in a straight line and were all over the place, leaving the siding loose and open to the elements. I reached out to the company numerous times in the hopes of getting the issue resolved, and while they did respond, no action was taken to make things right. Suffice to say, this left me feeling very disappointed with Viking Steel Structures.
Additionally, the customer service I received was non-existent. Despite my efforts to get someone to fix the issues with my garage, I was met with indifference and a lack of concern. As a customer, this is not something I was expecting and definitely not something I deserved. I shared photos of the issues I was facing, hoping that they would take action to remedy the situation, but nothing was done.
Finally, I must confess that I was also disappointed to find that the installation team spent the night in their truck in my driveway. Although they did work hard to finish the job, it was not up to standard, and the finished product was of poor quality. The installation team complained about the lack of sleep, and this might be the reason for the shoddy work.
All in all, I would caution future buyers to beware of Viking Steel Structures. It is my opinion that there are better options out there, and I would advise potential customers to look elsewhere. The non-existent customer service and the shoddy installation team leave a lot to be desired, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Avoid Viking Steel Structures: Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Delays
Viking Steel Structures can surely test your patience, especially if you're looking to have your garage delivered and installed soon. It's been a hassle trying to get an actual date from them - phone calls won't be returned and it's all about the money for this company. I had to deposit $2100 for my garage, and now I'm being told that it could take up to 4 to 6 weeks or longer, which is really frustrating! I was never told that this would be the case before ordering the garage.
To make matters worse, I received a message blaming it on the price of fuel and how they need more buildings sold in my area before they'll come here. But, just a week after they received my deposit, I got a call asking if my concrete was ready as the salesperson said the garage was ready to be installed. This is really confusing and not a good sign at all. Now, they're telling me that it'll take 4-6 weeks, which really doesn't make any sense at this point.
It's hard to trust a company when their customer service is this terrible. If it's not convenient for them, they won't make things right with their customers. It makes me wonder what the quality of the actual building will be like. I am truly disappointed in their services, and I wouldn't even give them a single star.
In conclusion, it would be better to avoid Viking Steel Structures and their unprofessional customer service. If you're looking for a dependable and reliable steel structure provider, it's best to seek out other options available in the market.
Warning: Viking Steel Structures' Installation Nightmare - Don't Make the Same Mistake!
I recently decided to order a carport from Viking Steel Structures, which was processed in October of 2020. The salesman who assisted me with my order was exceptionally helpful and accommodating, and I felt confident in proceeding with my purchase.
Unfortunately, once the sale was complete, everything went downhill quickly. The subcontractor responsible for installing the carport should honestly be out of business at this point. I've heard just about every excuse imaginable over the past few months, and it's been nothing but a headache trying to get any kind of real progress or updates.
I've made no less than 100 calls to the company, and it always feels like I'm getting nowhere. They initially provided me with an installation date, to which I called the day before to confirm everything was on track. My son and I both took vacation days from work to make sure we could be present for the installation, which was supposed to take place that day. We waited around all day, even into the evening, and called repeatedly throughout the afternoon to check in. Every time I called, all I was told was that they were attempting to contact the installation crew and would get back to me as soon as possible. However, I never actually received any feedback.
The whole ordeal was quite perplexing and frustrating, and it's now day 2 of the scheduled installation. I've placed five separate calls to the company and not once has anyone been able to provide me with any follow-up information. Apparently, they're still attempting to get in touch with the installation crew.
To put it frankly, it's easier to find Osama Bin Laden than to get assistance from Viking Steel Structures. Not only am I left without a functional carport, but I'm also unable to get my deposit back at this point. After everything I've been through, the least I can do is offer a fair warning to future customers. Don't be like me and fall for their sales pitch - you'll only end up regretting it.
Disappointed with Viking Steel Structures - Be cautious when ordering from them
I wanted to share my experience with Viking Steel Structures and warn other buyers to be cautious. While I acknowledge that the ongoing pandemic has created a difficult situation for many businesses, I was disappointed with the way Viking Steel Structures handled my order.
I placed an order for a building with Viking Steel Structures in April of 2021. Initially, things seemed to be going smoothly. However, once I made the down payment, I began to encounter problems. In particular, I had specified a color roll up door that they were unable to provide, and we spent two to three months going back and forth about potential solutions. I suggested purchasing a door for them to install, but they claimed that they couldn't guarantee the installer would do it. They also insisted that I would need to negotiate with the builder (who was a subcontractor and not part of Viking's crew).
After finally getting the concrete poured in late July, I confirmed with Viking that it had been done and then waited to hear back from the builder about the order and placement of the doors and windows. It wasn't until late September that I received any communication from them, and they informed me that they would need to charge extra to put the man door where I had specified in the design - even though I had already done so through the design program on Viking's website.
At this point, I am frustrated and still without a scheduled build date. I understand that the pandemic has created challenges, but I am disappointed with the way that Viking Steel Structures handled my order. I hope that other buyers will be cautious and do their research before placing an order with this company, as my experience has left me feeling quite unhappy.
Poor Communication and Installation with Viking Steel Structures and Top of the Line
I recently had an experience with Viking Steel Structures that I am not thrilled about. I signed a contract back in April of this year for a 30x45 building in the Myrtle Beach area and paid the required 10% down payment. Initially, everything moved quickly and the team at Viking was highly responsive and communicative.
However, things began to take a turn once the installer they use in my area, Top of the Line around Mt Airy, NC, became involved. Top of the Line has terrible reviews and they were a nightmare to work with. From the start, they struggled to communicate with me and would often give conflicting information.
For example, one of their team members said that my building could not have 4-foot centers. When I asked why, they were unable to provide a proper answer. After a lot of back and forth, I finally said that they could space it at 3 feet 9 inches. Several months later, another Top of the Line representative told me that they would do 4-foot centers, contradicting what I had been told previously.
Top of the Line also waited far too long to order my materials and only contacted me after eighty-five days to schedule the installation. At this point, they informed me that there would be a 15% increase in the cost of the materials, which I questioned. When I reached out to Viking to enquire further, they contacted Top of the Line to request clarification, but Top of the Line ignored them. Unfortunately, Top of the Line is notorious for poor communication and does not respond to emails from clients.
Sadly, since Top of the Line contacted me to schedule the installation within one hundred days, I am not eligible for a refund of my $1,7xx down payment. I was disappointed to hear Viking admit that Top of the Line does not communicate well, yet they still use them for installations.
Top of the Line has a clause in their contract stating that it is the customer's responsibility to verify pricing every thirty days. It is frustrating that I am not entitled to my money back from Viking, but at least I can help others in my area avoid similar issues by cautioning them not to work with Viking if they are going to use Top of the Line for the installation.
Disappointing experience with Viking Steel Structures - Delayed delivery, additional costs, and failed inspection
I recently purchased a steel building from Viking Steel Structures and I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with my experience. I ordered a 20x40 building with a promised delivery time of 4-6 weeks, which meant a December delivery. Unfortunately, the time frame came and went with no response from the company and me leaving multiple messages. It was only in April of 2022 that I finally heard from them, stating that the building was ready for installation. However, installation didn't happen until a month later, in mid-May of 2022.
The installation crew arrived at 7am on the day of installation and asked if they could back their trailer across my yard. Unfortunately, I had over $15k worth of sod in my yard that I was not willing to have damaged. I had already explained this to the rep when I ordered the building, so it was frustrating that the installer was unaware. The installer then called the office and they demanded an additional $700 to carry the materials less than 100 feet. Furthermore, during the installation process, it was brought to my attention that the crew didn't take the trash with them, which was a surprise. Apparently, their interpretation of trash doesn't include all the large and oversized insulation, metal cut-offs, and metal trim sections that were left behind. Some of these sections were larger than 2'x15'! I was taken aback by this but was just eager to have the building up.
However, the problems didn't end there. The building failed inspection the next day! When I called the City Inspector to do a final walk-through, it was found that the anchors were not installed according to the drawings provided by the company to get the permit. The building was short by over 8 anchors. The company left me a voicemail stating that I would need to pay an extra $1,000 to fix the mistake. However, I don't believe that the mistake was on my end, but rather the inspector's mistake. As of late July 2022, I still cannot use my building, and the company is still refusing to fix the issue.
Overall, I have to say that I'm disappointed with the entire experience with Viking Steel Structures. I hope that the company will do better in the future and ensure that their customers have a better experience.
Poor Experience with Viking Steel Structures & Carolina Carports: False Promises and Lies
So, I have to share my experience with this company Viking Steel Structures. I was looking for a shed and decided to pay a deposit in February. They told me that it would be ready in June and I was excited about it. But the time passed and I didn't receive any updates. When I called in August, they told me they were working on it. Later on, they passed the responsibility to Carolina CarPorts and then I had to deal with Amanda Coleson.
Let me tell you something, I have never met someone like her in my life. She lied to me and set a lie detector on fire with all the lies she told me. She promised that I would receive my shed in September, but it didn't happen. I was tired of her lies and I gave up. I ended up buying a smaller shed from mysheds.com website and guess what? They delivered it in just 6 days.
I was so disappointed with Viking Steel Structures and Carolina Carports. They refused to give me my money back even after they held my money for so long. They just gave me false promises, which I believed at first, but it turned out to be a big lie. I regretted choosing this company for my shed because of all the hassle I had to go through. I would never recommend them to anyone and hope potential customers read my review before trusting them. If you want a real shed, go to mysheds.com instead.
Unsatisfactory Experience with Viking Steel Structures: Poor Communication and Refund Policy
My experience with Viking Steel Structures has been less than satisfactory. I requested a quote for a steel garage on 5/17/21 and received an email on 5/27/21 stating that the building price was going up by 30% on 6/1/21, so I needed to place a deposit to lock in my quoted price. TOL Buildings Inc. was assigned the contract, and I made the deposit after visiting their website, which showed that they were BBB Accredited A+ Rated.
The contract stated that delivery would take 1-4 weeks in most areas and was clearly stamped "SAMPLE NOT FINAL." However, after signing the contract, Mr. Aguilar informed me that I would need to provide proof that the foundation was in and allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. I sent a picture of the foundation to Mr. Aguilar on 8/5/2021, which he forwarded to Ms. Gonzalez-Leon of TOL. On 9/8/2021, when I called for an update, someone from TOL informed me that there was a 6-8 week lead time for delivery. I called again after 8 weeks and was told by the Viking manager that they were having a meeting with TOL to confirm delivery schedules for approximately 50 buildings, including mine.
When I called the following Friday, I was informed that TOL needed another week to respond, and when I tried to leave a message on TOL's scheduler's phone number, the voice mailbox was full. I emailed on 10/11/21 and 10/19/21 and was told that Viking was still trying to get an update. At this point, I still do not have a confirmation.
When I requested a refund from the Viking manager, Tania Romero, I was told that the deposit was non-refundable, despite Viking's website stating a simple refunds policy would be applied. I live in NC where the policy applies, but Ms. Romero refused to honor it. Viking Steel Structures seems to be using Covid as an excuse when many deposit payments were taken, despite the company knowing that it would not be able to deliver the ordered buildings within the quoted timeframe. Vikings Steel Structures is adding the non-refundable clause in the contract to circumvent their 100% refund policy posted on their website. Based on my research, this is fraudulent.
Overall, I would not recommend Viking Steel Structures based on my experience. Their poor communication and failure to honor their own refund policy have resulted in frustration and wasted time.

Long Wait Time and No Refund - My Experience with Viking Steel Structures
I recently made a purchase from Viking Steel Structures for an RV cover. I was really excited for it to arrive but unfortunately, after waiting patiently for over 2 months, I still hadn't received my delivery. Feeling frustrated, I decided to reach out to the company and ask for a refund and cancel the order. However, to my surprise, they said no and explained that it would still take another 8 to 10 weeks to deliver it.
I have to say, I was pretty bummed out when I found out I couldn't get a refund, especially considering how long I had waited for the delivery. I feel like I was left in the dark about the whole situation and I wish the company had been more transparent with me.
Overall, the quality of what I ordered seemed good, but the delivery process left a lot to be desired. Being on a tight budget, I was really relying on the refund and was disappointed when I didn't receive it. I hope Viking Steel Structures can improve their customer service in the future and be more understanding of their customers' needs.
Warning: Viking Steel Structures' Outsourcing Leads to Frustration and Refund Issues
Yo, so I gotta say, I'm pretty frustrated with Viking Steel Structures right now. It's been like, 5 whole months since I ordered a shed from them and I haven't heard anything about my refund or the status of my order. Apparently they outsourced some of their business to another company that ended up goin' under. Like, what the heck?! So now I had to go and dispute the charges with my bank cuz I'm not gonna let 'em take my money without giving me what I paid for.
Folks, lemme tell ya, if you're thinkin' of orderin' from Viking Steel Structures, ya better be careful. I'd hate for anyone else to go through what I'm going through right now. So just keep this in mind and don't say I didn't warn ya.
My Frustrating Experience with Viking Steel Structures for Carports and Metal Structures
I had a very frustrating experience with Viking Steel Structures, a company that offers carports and other metal structures. I placed an order for a carport with them and was told that it would take about 6 months to be delivered. However, after waiting for a year and a half, I still had no idea when my carport was going to be delivered. I tried to contact the company multiple times to get an update, but they were not very helpful and seemed to be avoiding my calls and emails.
I was extremely upset about this situation and decided to ask for a refund of my 15% down payment. However, Viking Steel Structures refused to give me a refund, saying that it was my fault for not reading the fine print in the contract. I was very disappointed by their response and felt like they were not taking responsibility for their poor communication and lack of transparency.
Overall, I would not recommend Viking Steel Structures to anyone who is looking for a reliable and trustworthy company to work with. Their customer service is poor, their communication is lacking, and they do not seem to care about their customers' satisfaction. If you decide to do business with them, be prepared for a long wait and potential disappointment.

Disappointing Experience with Viking Steel Structures - Frustration and Concerns
which is frustrating and concerning.
I was excited to order my steel building from Viking Steel Structures, as their website was easy to navigate and their prices were very competitive. I paid the full amount for my building with the expectation that it would be delivered and installed by Viking Steel Structures themselves.
However, to my surprise, I found out that they contracted Carolina Carports, Inc. to perform the installation. This was not made clear to me during the ordering process, and I was disappointed to learn that Carolina Carports, Inc. has a poor rating with numerous complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau.
To make matters worse, I still have not received any communication regarding a delivery date for my steel building. This lack of information is both frustrating and concerning, as I had hoped to have my building installed by now.
Despite these issues, I remain hopeful that Viking Steel Structures will be able to resolve these concerns and deliver my steel building in a timely and professional manner. However, until I receive more information and see evidence of progress, I cannot recommend Viking Steel Structures to others.
Disappointing Lack of Communication with Viking Steel Contractor Juan Leads to Subpar Concrete Slab Results
Me and my contractor wanted to ask Juan about some important questions regarding the concrete slab we were installing. However, we faced some difficulties in getting in contact with him. Although we had his direct line and Viking Steel email, we never received a return call or email. We tried to reach him multiple times but unfortunately he wasn't available to assist us. As a result, our concrete slab ended up looking like a mess and the structure installed by TOL just barely made it onto the slab. I must say, Juan was of absolutely no help to us.
Disappointing Customer Service: My Experience with Viking Steel Structures
So, I filled out a form on Viking Steel Structures' website to get some information about their services and prices. But, unfortunately, I didn't hear anything. I was a bit disappointed, so I decided to send another email a week later. And guess what? I still didn't get any response. I was really frustrated. I mean, how hard is it to let a customer know what's going on? It's a basic customer service rule, right?
Anyway, at this point, I don't know if I should trust them with my project. I don't want to risk giving them my deposit and then finding out later that they are unreliable. It's not worth it. I am feeling dissatisfied and disappointed with the whole experience. I'm actually curious to see if they even post this review or censor it. You never know.
In summary, the lack of communication and poor customer service from Viking Steel Structures has left me with a bad impression. I hope they improve their customer service so that they don't lose potential customers like me.
