I got this lil' 2 bed rental crib in Naples, ya know?
I got this lil' 2 bed rental crib in Naples, ya know? So the real estate agent brought in Aztec Plumbing, Inc. to switch out a basic kitchen faucet. They slapped in a Moen faucet from Home Depot that costs $267, but guess what? They charged me a whopping $812! I gave 'em a ring to complain, and they had the audacity to say it was the right price after they used a $30 coupon. Can you believe that? Absolutely ridiculous.
Don't ever use this company, try any other company instead
Don't ever use this company, try any other company instead. Aztec will make you pay at least twice as much as any other company. I had a quick 15-minute service with no need for parts, the technician only had a bucket and a small wrench, and they charged me $300. I called three other companies and they all quoted me between $100 and $150 for the same service. They can set their prices as they please, but in these difficult times, it's shocking to charge such a high premium as a minimum fee. I contacted their office and they insisted that this was a normal charge. I will make sure to warn everyone I know not to use them.
Around 7:00 PM, water started coming out from under the baseboards in the hall bathroom
Around 7:00 PM, water started coming out from under the baseboards in the hall bathroom. I searched on the internet and found Aztec Plumbing. I called them and a technician named Emmanuel arrived within an hour. He found where the leak was coming from and explained what we could do. He quickly found the exact spot of the leak in the wall and fixed it. By 8:30, we had water again. Emmanuel was polite, fast, and knew what he was doing. I highly recommend him. The cost of the repairs was also reasonable and they didn't charge extra for the late hour. Now, we just need to fix the drywall.
I called Aztec Plumbing, Inc
I called Aztec Plumbing, Inc. to replace the water valve at my house. They ended up charging me $487, with $200 just for digging a hole that was only 8 inches deep and 16 inches long. Apparently, they have a minimum of half an hour for excavation, but it literally took the guy only 3 minutes to dig it out. They calculate their hourly charges based on the GPS of their truck. The plumber was here for 45 minutes, but I got charged for 2 hours. So, if they arrive and just sit in the truck, you're still getting charged. And if they're busy chatting with the neighbors to get more work, you're getting charged too. Heck, even if they go around the corner and take a nap, you're still getting charged! It's really disappointing to see a local business taking advantage of seniors and scamming anyone they can. I definitely don't recommend this company to anyone. Be careful!
I recently had to have my hole house re-piped
I recently had to have my hole house re-piped. Aztec came out within the hour that I called them, on a Friday, and explained my different options. I chose to go the re-pipe route and they were able to start the job the next Monday, get it inspected, and do the drywall work by Wednesday. I had a few things that needed to be taken care of after the job was finished and by Friday, everything was complete. I have never dealt with a company that was more attuned to their customers. They were always polite and friendly from management, office staff, and the technicians that worked in my home. I don't think that anyone could have done a better quality job and am completely satisfied. I can categorically say that I would use them again.
Aztec Plumbing is definitely not recommended
Aztec Plumbing is definitely not recommended. They do some shady stuff and charge way too much for their service. They totally took advantage of my wife, who doesn't know much about plumbing, and quoted a whopping $650 for a job that an honest plumber would only charge $200 for. Can you believe it? All they had to do was replace a Moen cartridge and the anode in our water heater. The technician took a whole 4 hours to do a job that should've taken just 1 hour. And get this, he even disappeared for a good 2 and a half hours to go fetch a tool he forgot at his previous job in Punta Gorda, which is also a small town. These people don't care about making their customers happy or getting repeat business. When I called their office, the so-called "manager" had the nerve to laugh at me and say we couldn't do anything because we signed and accepted their ridiculous quote. She even had the audacity to say that the pricing didn't consider the fact that they did both tasks in one service call. She seemed to get a kick out of my anger and hung up on me when I asked to speak to her boss. I can't believe they have a rating of 4.69 when most of the reviews are negative. It's just hard to believe.

They charged me for a new toilet that I didn't need!
They charged me for a new toilet that I didn't need! I told them my toilet was new, but they insisted I needed a new one. But guess what? It didn't fix the problem! Turns out it was an external issue, and the plumber said he would check if he could give me a discount. He never got back to me. I paid almost $900 when I was first told it would be around $200. They won't even call me back about my unhappiness. I'm gonna let my friends and coworkers know not to use them. They're just taking advantage.
I had a really bad experience with Aztec Plumbing, Inc
I had a really bad experience with Aztec Plumbing, Inc. They charged me a whopping $500.00 for installing a simple $20.00 pressure switch, along with replacing the pressure tank that I provided. It was a complete rip-off! I'm a snowbird and when I arrived at my house, I realized I had no water. I called Aztec Plumbing and they came over on January 11th. They quickly diagnosed the problem, but the solution was ridiculously overpriced. The plumber was only there for about an hour, and yet I was charged a whopping $554.00 for just a pressure switch. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he just laughed it off. To make matters worse, I didn't even receive a receipt on the spot. He promised to email it to me, but I never received it. This whole experience was a total ripoff.
In May , Aztec Plumbing, Inc
In May , Aztec Plumbing, Inc. repiped my entire home. However, in January , there was a major leak that caused damage to the walls and the new wood flooring. Thankfully, an Aztec technician came and repaired the leak. They mentioned that the damage was due to a faulty elbow installation and assured me that they would take care of the damages.
I reached out to the piping manager and requested a copy of the estimate, which had the reference number FMXXXXXX, from ***. After reviewing the estimate for the flooring, I received authorization from the piping manager to proceed with the repairs. I made several calls to the manager and their assistant, asking them to pay the bill, but unfortunately, I haven't received any response. To make matters worse, they have now started blocking my calls.

On 9/22 Aztec Plumbing gave us a quote to install 4 bathroom faucets and one kitchen faucet
On 9/22 Aztec Plumbing gave us a quote to install 4 bathroom faucets and one kitchen faucet. We didn't know that the amount included taking out and putting in the faucets, 'cause the faucets were already taken out by the new counter top installers and were just sitting on the cabinets where they were supposed to go back. We think we got charged too much. When we talked to the business, they said their price covers removal and installation whether they do the removing or not. We didn't know this when we agreed to it. Like, they charged us 856.00 bucks just to put back the kitchen faucet, the garbage disposal push button, and the soap dispenser. The whole bill came out to be $2,315.00.
On 06/26, I called Aztec Plumbing and Drain 'bout a hot water heater not workin'
On 06/26, I called Aztec Plumbing and Drain 'bout a hot water heater not workin'. They sent a representative, Johnathin, and he and I both agreed that it had to be replaced. He verbally quoted me a price of $500.00 to $600-.00 and I gave him the OK. He did replace the heater with a new one. We had relatives visitin' our house for dinner and were 'bout to sit down to eat when he came in and gave me a form to sign to acknowledge that he did the work, and another to sign acknowledgin' the price. Since we were just 'bout to sit down to eat and he had quoted me $500.00 to $600.00, I signed the form with out lookin' at it. Later in the evenin' when I looked at the form, I found that he had charged $$3,870.00. Since thay did replace the water heater I am willin' to pay an amouint of $995.00, which is an amount quoted be another plumber.
I had my house re-plumbed in October by a crew that wasn't licensed plumbers, even though the job required it!
I had my house re-plumbed in October by a crew that wasn't licensed plumbers, even though the job required it! During the process, they dug up my yard and broke my sprinkler system and the main waterline in several different spots. They attempted to repair it, but each repair has failed. When the company came out the first time, they told me it was my sprinkler line. However, when the sprinkler line came out, they told me it was my waterline. It cost me $125 to fix Aztec Plumbing's repair. But once again, the waterline broke, and when I called for a technician to come out and fix it, they refused and told me to wait until the morning. I ended up fixing it myself. It turned out that the elbow was not properly glued because the pipe was put in crooked. Once again, this mistake was made by an unlicensed plumber hired by Aztec Plumbing. My entire house was done by an unlicensed plumber, and this was a $23,000 job. Aztec's claim that they didn't touch the main waterline is false because they broke it several times when they were at my house.
We've been using Aztec Plumbing, Inc
We've been using Aztec Plumbing, Inc. for our plumbing needs for a few years now. Back in April , we paid $1850 to have our pipes jetted throughout our entire home and to repair a 3-foot section of pipe. They assured us that there was a 5-year warranty on this service. Fast forward to Friday, September 17th, when our pipes backed up again. We called Aztec, and they promptly came out the next morning to fix the problem. They also mentioned that they would return on Monday to do a video scope of the lines. During the inspection, they discovered a blockage near the kitchen sink, which was surprising since they had previously jetted it. The technician called the office and was informed that they would not honor the warranty. They even made a comment suggesting that they expected us to be high maintenance customers. It's worth mentioning that due to their previous service, we also purchased a tankless water heater from them at the end of 2109 for $3,800. It appears that there has been a change in ownership since late 2019, with Steve no longer owning the business. Unfortunately, it seems that the new owners are not interested in honoring the warranties previously offered by Steve.
We hired Aztec Plumbing, Inc
We hired Aztec Plumbing, Inc. to change our home's pipes, but they added an expensive service that wasn't needed. When they came to do the job, they didn't have enough workers, so they had to come back another day. They set a date, but then changed it, leaving us without a kitchen sink and dishwasher for ELEVEN days. Finally, when they returned to finish the plumbing, the technicians realized we were overcharged, but the company didn't adjust the bill. When we tried to discuss this, the General Manager charged our credit card without permission, taking over $7,000. Aztec then left the job unfinished, leaving holes in our walls for months. We had to hire a separate contractor to fix the damage. When we offered to resolve the issue, this was Aztec's response: "This is an ongoing investigation with the ***, and we believe it's best to let the investigation process continue due to the seriousness of the allegations."
I called for service on 3 plumbing issues in our master bath on 5-16-22
I called for service on 3 plumbing issues in our master bath on 5-16-22. I called and talked to a customer service manager, and they said they would get back to me. After a month of calling and emailing, no response. I paid $550 for a repair to the shower cartridge. I was willing to pay if all the issues were fixed, especially since they said the rear wall might need to be taken out if the part didn't work. The shower cartridge was installed and it worked, but the other two issues were not fixed. They said I should buy two new faucets because they changed, but I found out at Ferguson Plumbing that the faucets are still available and have a lifetime warranty. They are sending me all the parts for free. They didn't give me a warranty for the shower cartridge and won't tell me the cost of the part or labor. The service manager said "we don't do it like that". I don't think they were honest about the repairs and my faucets. Charging $550 for a shower cartridge installation when it's free from the manufacturer is not reasonable. They could have ordered and installed the parts for the other faucets. Aztec's repair process is not clear and it seems like they're hiding something when they won't give details. I read reviews and saw that others had the same issues with this company. These business practices are not good for customers.
Timeline of services/issues: 12/29 - Toilet backed up, leaking from base
Timeline of services/issues: 12/29 - Toilet backed up, leaking from base. Technician Wilson B. came out, assessed situation, cleared clog from pipes. $450. 1/22 - Toilet backed up, leaking from base. Technician Wilson B. came out again, cleared clog, performed video sewer inspection (Randy). Was told there was a wye at 41 feet in that was holding water. Recommended that the 4" wye be replaced. To solve the recurring clog issue. $450. 1/29 - Jacob G. and Scott H. removed concrete floor, dug up 4-inch wye, cut it out, replaced with new wye, filled hole, and poured concrete. $1860. 4/14 - Toilet backed up, leaking from base. Roderick H. cleared the clog, recommended another camera inspection. $450. Camera inspection by Randy was performed and he supposed that the pitch was not proper. We were given a proposal to replace more piping that would cost $15,177. It should be noted that this was his best guess and not guaranteed that this would solve the problem. 7/31 - Toilet backed up, leaking from base. Aztec was unable to come to our office. Avis came out, cleared clog that was at same spot where Aztec repaired piping on 1/29. 12/21 - Toilet backed up, leaking from base. Avis came out, removed clog at the same repaired spot again. Recommended camera inspection. 12/22 - Hydro jet cleanout was performed. Camera inspection showed incorrect fitting at the spot Aztec repaired on 1/29. Video showed black band from inside sewer. Avis sent us the video via email. Called Aztec, Aztec sent Randy out for another camera inspection. Randy said he would show his manager the video and would contact us with a plan to fix the broken repair. Randy never called or emailed us. Since Jan 2022, we have called Aztec 5 times, emailed once and sent a certified letter via USPS (containing the info above) that was delivered 4/4/22. Aztec as not returned any calls or emails. We have given them more than enough time to respond.
Bad service
Bad service. Heater never worked. They charged 2800 for a heater that cost 1000 on Lowe's and Amazon. On Wednesday 2/24, I called Aztec Plumbing because my 80-gallon electric water heater was leaking on the bottom. They came that night and the plumber (Scott) said it needs to be replaced. A quick note: it looked brand new, I bought the house 4 years ago, and it was all digital. He said we don't have the same brand but we will install something similar. He gave me a quote of 2800 for the new heater brand AO Smith plus installation. He said heaters this size are very expensive. I looked on Home Depot and I saw an AO Smith heater for the price of 2100, all digital like my old one. So I agreed to have it changed. They are supposed to be a reputable business. The next day (2/25) they changed it. I was not home but my wife was there. After installation, Scott said let the water run for 30 min to get hot water. That night we ran the water for more than 40 min and no hot water. We called and they said someone will be there tomorrow. In the meantime, my 2 and 4-year-old kids had a cold shower. The next day (2/26) in the morning there was hot water so I called and canceled the service. But at night once again no hot water. All family had a cold shower. Once again they said we will send someone tomorrow. Today 2/27 in the morning there was hot water. Scott came and said there is nothing wrong with the heater, it's an electrical issue. (Recall I changed it because it was leaking) He said you need to call an electrician and we are NOT responsible for any electric problems. So for the 3rd night in a row, we have cold water at night. I have a few problems: first, they did something wrong because now there is an electrical issue, and they claim they are not responsible. Second, the heater that they installed looks very cheap. I actually googled the model AO Smith model number LTE-80D 200, serial number XXXXXXXXXXXXX and it is only 1099.99 on multiple websites. So they are overcharging 1800 dollars for it. Third, my wife never received an invoice. So as of today, I don't have any details of what they charged. Fourth, they are stealing my hard-earned money. Fifth, I consider this a complete rip-off and I will not recommend Aztec Plumbing to anyone.
Aztec Plumbing, Inc
Aztec Plumbing, Inc. installed a tankless hot water unit for me in November . However, they made some mistakes that caused compatibility issues with my electrical panel. They brought in an electrician to wire the unit into my panel, but it turned out that the unit required 160 amps while my panel only had 80 amps available. This was a code violation and could have potentially led to a fire hazard.
In February, I hired another electrician to do some additional work, and he discovered the code violations and informed me about the potential dangers. He recommended removing the Aztec unit and replacing it with a properly sized one. The previous electrician had double-wired a couple of breakers and installed oversized 80 amp breakers to meet the unit's 160 amp requirement.
Upon learning this information, I contacted Aztec and expressed my concerns. They sent a field supervisor to assess the situation. However, after a brief inspection, he simply powered off half of the unit and claimed that everything was fine. I found this unacceptable as I had paid a significant amount of money for a fully functioning unit, not half of one. The electrical issue still remained unresolved.
I tried to get in touch with Aztec for almost two weeks, but it was difficult to reach anyone. Finally, I requested to speak to a manager and was connected with ***. I explained the situation to him, but he insisted that the unit they installed was the only one they sold and that the power requirement could be adjusted using dip switches. I reiterated my desire to have the unit removed due to the fire hazard and the fact that I didn't want to pay for something that didn't meet my needs. However, he refused to offer any solutions and claimed that I was out of luck. He did mention that they would take responsibility for the electrical work, but by that point, I had lost all trust in the company and doubted their integrity.
As a result, I decided to purchase an appropriately sized replacement unit and hired another plumber to remove the Aztec unit and install the new one. I also brought back the electrician to correctly wire the new unit into the panel. During this process, the new plumber discovered that Aztec had violated the plumbing code by not pulling a permit for a multi-level condo building and failing to install an expansion tank as required.
Overall, my experience with Aztec Plumbing, Inc. was disappointing. Their installation of an oversized unit and failure to address the electrical compatibility issue, as well as their violation of plumbing codes, raised serious concerns about their professionalism and integrity. I would not recommend their services based on my personal experience.
On Monday, 6/1, we found out our Gas State Hot Water heater wasn't working
On Monday, 6/1, we found out our Gas State Hot Water heater wasn't working. There was an error code showing a gas vapor problem. The $3,500 forced air gas hot water heater was installed by Aztec in 2017, so it was about 3 years old. A technician arrived within an hour and said they didn't have the needed part in stock. They would check how long it would take to find it. After about 20 minutes, he gave me good and bad news. The good news was that the control valve was under warranty, so no charge for that. The bad news was that it might take until Thursday to get the part. They also wanted to charge $349 for installation, which seemed high for the time it would take. I told them to order the part and try to get it sooner, even if we had to pay for overnight shipping. A few hours later, they called and said the part wasn't covered by warranty. The total cost would be around $1,000 for the valve and installation. I asked to speak with someone else and argued that they had given me different information before ordering the part. They said their distributor had given them the wrong info about the warranty. I suggested that the distributor should pay for the part since it wasn't our problem. They said they couldn't do that and offered a small discount. They brought the price down to $880 in total. I told them to order the part. Meanwhile, I found the exact part online for about $299, and it could be shipped and arrive the next day. I called the technician again to question the pricing, and he said it would take several days to process the order, but he would try to get it here the next day. I also asked for a manager to call me about the pricing, but that never happened. On Tuesday, I called and they said the part would be delivered on Wednesday morning, and they would come to install it. Around noon on Wednesday, I called again, and they said the part wouldn't arrive until Thursday, and they would install it then. I asked for a tracking number at that point. They never called to explain any delays, and no manager called to discuss the pricing issue. There was no sense of urgency even though we were without hot water and they could have gotten the part the next day if they had acted quickly. We believe we shouldn't have to pay the extra $500 - $600 for the part since we were told it was covered by warranty. If someone made that mistake, someone else should pay for it, not us. The technician said someone else would call me to discuss, but that never happened. It seems like they want you to think they care about doing the job right and treating the customer well, but they don't have time to communicate delays and incorrect information.
I had a cast iron pipe replaced by PVC pipe and the repairman cut irrigation lines
I had a cast iron pipe replaced by PVC pipe and the repairman cut irrigation lines. The warranty was also backdated improperly. At first, I had a clog. Aztec came out and resolved the issue quickly, but recommended a camera inspection because my pipes are mostly cast iron. On 5/29, Scott T. (sales/camera tech) did the camera inspection ($99) and recommended pipe jetting because of scale inside the pipes. On 6/4, Scott H. (tech) came to do high velocity jetting ($1926). He was clean, efficient, professional, and informative. On 6/9, Scott T. returned for a post-jet inspection and told me that a cast iron pipe needed to be replaced before he could issue the 5-year warranty that was part of the initial contract. I asked about my newly installed irrigation system and Scott T. said the technician would be careful, but if he hit the line, "Aztec would take care of it." On 6/16, Aleksandr G. (technician) replaced the cast iron pipe with PVC pipe ($1388). I asked about the warranty and received an invoice backdating the warranty to the jetting date (not the date the pipe was replaced, which prevented the warranty from being issued). Afterward, I noticed that my grass was dying in an area in the backyard. I ran my sprinklers (they usually run in the middle of the night, so I don't see them) and noticed that 2 of the zones weren't working. I contacted my landscaper and their workers came out and repaired the lines. Two of the lines were cut where Aleksandr was digging. On 6/25, I contacted Whitney (customer service) at Aztec and left a message with the issue. Scott T., not Whitney, contacted me later that morning, said he spoke with Aleksandr, and that Aleksandr said he didn't cut the lines and he "didn't know what to tell me." He asked how much the repair was and I told him (at least 3 times) that since the work was done that morning, I didn't yet have an invoice, but wanted to let Aztec know what happened as soon as I knew there was a problem. Scott said they didn't cut the lines. I told him that the lines that were cut were exactly where Aleksandr was digging. Then Scott said "if he cut the lines then I should've called them to repair them." That was NEVER mentioned to me. I reminded Scott T. what he said, that they "would take care of it". And he told me that they wouldn't and that's the company policy. Later that day, I tried to contact Whitney again, was put on hold for almost 5 minutes, and told she was unavailable. I left another message with Matt (receptionist), as well as one on Whitney's voicemail. As of today, 6/30, I never received a call back. I just received my bill from the irrigation company and it's for $73 for the repair to the lines. I'm disgusted that a company, who was happy to take almost $3500 from me and promise to make a repair to my irrigation if something happened, completely turned their backs on me in every way possible over a $73 repair bill and backdated my warranty to the time prior to the final work that they required to validate it. This is unprofessional and not the way anyone should be treated. What started out as a friendly and respectful company (as long as they were taking my money), has quickly turned into a dishonest and not consumer-friendly place the moment I had an issue and brought it to their attention. It worries me greatly about whether or not I'll receive ANY customer service if I need any repairs or work during the warranty period.
