I gotta say folks, my experience with Mr Porter has been nothing short of a disaster. Don't get me wrong, the website looks slick and their collection of clothes is pretty decent, but if something goes wrong with your order, then it's a whole different ball game.

I placed an order for a pair of shoes, and it took them a few days to ship it out, which I reckon isn't too bad considering it was during the sale period. However, when the package arrived, it was in a terrible state. The shipping box was messed up and torn, and when I opened it, both shoes were damaged at the heel and looked like they'd been used before. I mean, when you're paying top dollar for something, you expect it to be in pristine condition, right?

So, I called their customer service hotline straight away and spoke to a guy called Muhammad, who was polite and helpful. He offered me a discount on my next purchase or a full refund. Obviously, I went for the refund, since I didn't want to give them another chance to mess up the order.

Muhammad told me to send the product back along with the tracking details, and he'd personally oversee the whole process and ensure that the refund was released immediately. But guess what? I haven't heard anything from them since. I've sent them multiple emails, but no response. I mean, how can a company as big as Mr Porter just ignore their customers like that?

I had to call them up several times just to confirm if they'd received the return item, and when they finally did, they told me it would take up to 10 business days to process the refund. And if I didn't get the refund by then, I should contact my credit card provider. What kind of customer service is that?

It's been weeks since I sent the shoes back, and I'm still waiting for my funds to be released. I've lost all faith in this company, and I'm not sure if I'll ever order from them again. There are so many other online shopping websites out there with better customer service and more reliable shipping policies.

If you're thinking of ordering from Mr Porter, my advice is to think twice. Unless you're willing to take a gamble with your money and risk being left in the lurch, I'd recommend steering clear of this lousy company.
