I dropped my car off about 2:00 on Saturday January 4, 2025, and asked that the tire pressure be checked, brake fluid, power steering fluid, oil, brakes. When I got the call that my car was ready for pick-up, Thomas Blackned told me everything checked out and there was no charge. He went over the findings that he said needed to be addressed soon but for now it was good.
Sunday morning, I had a meeting at the White House in DC and less than a mile from my house the headlights shut off. A few minutes later my battery light came on, then the check engine light, and the entire dashboard lit up and then shut down. The windows wouldn't work. I thought it was the battery, so I called AAA.
When the first AAA representative came out, she thought it could be the battery because the light came on, but it tested ok, so she called a tow truck. The truck came out and found the tire pressure was 8 and all four tires were low when the store document said the pressure was 32. The car couldn't be towed until AAA put air in the tires.
Last month my check engine light came on usually for an oil and filter change, I scheduled an appointment and took it in, and Tom waited on me. I told him that I had a change a few miles ago and after checking the records it had only been 500 miles. He said that the timer had not been reset so he reset it and told me I was fine and didn't need another so soon. Yet on this report he said I needed filters. Also, nothing on the check list was labeled 1-end of use but everything was technician recommended. Also, I had a coolant flush at the same time I had the oil and filter change
Claimed loss: I lost time that I didn't have and now without a car indefinitely. I had the car towed back to the service center where only the assistant manager was on duty with no information as to how to move forward.
Desired outcome: I would like for everything to be restored to working order cost of a rental car until resolved.
