misleading and taking out duplicate pmts
I thought Mutual of Omaha was a reputable company. They cashed my check for premium and in 7 days withdrew another pmt. I have spent numerous hours on the phone on hold and never talk to a real person. As of this date, I have not even received a policy or acknowledgement of coverage. How is anyone supposed to contact them if there is a need after some one passes away. I am very dissatisfied and filed a complaint with my bank for the charge debited, and then asked for a refund of the $51 because it had been less than 30 days. I was out $25 to stop any further withdrawals. still nothing. I have written 3 letters. Still nothing. So beware of insurance companies even though you think they are credible. Rather choose some one locally who can advise you when there is a problem. These guys at Mutual could care less!

misleading new agents
The Mutual of Omaha management advertised. Industry Leading Training. Work for yourself but not by yourself. Displayed income earning scenarios for first year agents easily making $70 to $80K per year. With greater possibilities of over $110K. Thus justifying paying $750 per months for a proven lead purchasing program.
Managers stated new policy's should be set up as BSP. (monthly bank service plan). The managers never mentioned a BSP cuts your up-front commission in half making the product management pushed us to sell cost more in gas and lead price then the commission pays. This has me paying Mutual of Omaha out of my personal money to give them new business.
In my interviews I was told I would receive higher commissions if I came under contract with no bonus or trips. Reality has been I receive less then standard agents. My complaints to upper management offered a polite phone call stating new agents are Mutual of Omaha's number ONE customers and things are going to change soon. Next week something is happening that can not be discussed. 2 weeks later, NO CHANGES explanations, phone calls, or replies to many e-mails.
The training and support stated and advertised was miss-stated. The compensation was miss-stated. After several months I am in debt to Mutual of Omaha over $700 dollars on top of my $1100.00 in fuel expenses. 5 policies written BSP for a potential commission of less then $250.00...
The General Manager addressed my complaints and said he could not help me because of the contract they made for me is a HIGHBREED. He also said he would eliminate my debt to Mutual of Omaha because it is the right thing to do and he said he is a nice guy. I responded to his debt offer 1 week later and it is not eliminated. He wanted to know what my plans are. He NEVER made any stipulations when the offer was made.
It appears more false statements made verbally. These verbal miss-statements have happened on all levels of management. From District Hiring managers, General mangers and main office directors. And HR offers no explanation to my Hiring managers statements I would be paid higher commissions. Rather they quote contract paragraphs on pages in the contract I never signed or was shown when I did sign contracts. These were added with out my approval or review.
mid year premium increase
My wife and I have supplemental Medicare insurance (Mediagap)through Mutual of Omaha. We have received notices of a 20+% premium increase for the last quarter of the 2011 fiscal year. I do know that Medigap insurance premiums can change from yera to year, but I didn't think that they could change mid-year. Is this leagl or not?

I am 50years old with 30 years experience as a licensed insurance agent. So I have some experience in claims, but this is a nightmare!
My mother purchased a Cancer Policy underwritten by Mutual of Omaha. The actual policy was called “John Wayne" Cancer policy. I called the claims dept and asked what claim forms were needed to process a claim. The rep informed me" Oh, we don’t use claim forms, they are too confusing, just send us all your mothers medical records and we will pay the benefits’ available” . NOT!
After faxing over 300 documents, pathology reports, HC1500, and every document associated with her cancer. They paid $ 65.00 on over $ 80, 000 in bills.
Now I am told I need Diagnosis codes but no one there can explain exactly what the codes are or where to get them. They give John Wayne a bad name.
The only thing worse is their customer service. Avoid Mutual of Omaha.
cancer insurance
In the past year I have had breast cnacer twice once on the right side and the second time on the left. As far as mutual of omaha is conserned you can only have breast cancer once. They would only pay for 30 radiation treatment and that out of 67 treatment. And only a portion of that. I submitted forms for the second breast cancer and they would not even acknowledge it. No letter no nothing. Since when is breast cancer limited to one side and not both. This company is a total rip off and I will not re-new my policy

I have their cancer policy for a number of years The only claim I made was for skin cancer I could not be more satisfied.

I have had a cancer policy with Mutual of Omaha for 2 years and developed colon cancer on Mar.31 2016, due to a colonoposy, which I sent the result to the Mutual of Omaha, they never call so I contacted them, and not they told me I needed the surgeants, and hospital report, which Dr Russell sent them a Fax of the whole thing, 2 weeks later they said that they did not receive it, which Dr Russel's fax said that it went through. all thet do is hee-hay aeround trying to find a way to disclaim the cancer policy. I contacted them once again, now they said the policy was put on hold after 2 months, now they said they needed a report from my primary Dr. so O am in the process of doing that. It is all a punch of run around. all they want to do is write insurance polices, collect the mothy due then when something happens, you see what happens. And I still haven't collected anything. I will in the future conceal everything associated with this company, and would heavy suggest you look over all of your polices with this company. I am a Baptist Evangelist, and I do not go around to try to hurt any company or people, but enough is enough. I hope all will get a chance to read my complaint. Thank you

Hello I'm recently being appointed as a replacement PR. My sister was removed as PR by the probate judge in court for a couple of reasons. My question is how do i find out if she cashed out the insurances or if they still are active.?
fraud and scam
I was a seasoned insurance agent and relocated so naturally I needed a job. Mutual Of Omaha has a great reputation so I thought it was a great fit. I began to write business and not get payed this is normal in insurance sales things take time to go through under writing and medical records. I worked for 2 months with out a dime just expecting it to all come in at once I delivered the policies (closed cases) pay day rite? Nope they hit me with all kinds of hidden fees that no one ever told me about and guess what I worked just to pay them. Two months just burning gas when it was $3.75 a gallon and running through my savings because it was all coming back to me. HaHa Please don't make the mistake I made all the recruiters tell you you will make 60k-70k by your second year and a lot of people make 100k+. Only the people that lie to their customers make the big bucks guess what thats fraud.

I have received at my home address a "cash out" available $210,868 against the equity in my home and they sent/addressed the letter not to me or my wife or anyone in my family but to a person in a different state who actually is facing financial hardship! What the hell!
Unhappy with high premium. Canceled my policy the first the very day they got monthly payment they said they’d refund the money in 15 days to make sure my payment clears it’s been 21 days still nothing. They lied.
this insurance keep sending me letters and subscription's to enroll, we are not interested nor want their insurance, I would like them to stop sending letters!

My mom has been paying a premium on a life insurance policy since 2005, she has paid in over $9, 000.00 for a $5, 000.00 life insurance policy and now it's only woth $2, 700.00!
How in the world is this allowable?
