I recently attended the National Hot Tub Expo, LLC and boy, was it a blast!
I recently attended the National Hot Tub Expo, LLC and boy, was it a blast! I gotta say, their website (https://www.nationalhottubexpo.com/) is pretty neat. I was on the hunt for a new swim spa and this expo did not disappoint.
First off, let me tell you about the variety they had. It was mind-boggling! They had all sorts of swim spas to choose from, and I was like a kid in a candy store. The staff was super friendly and helpful too. They answered all my questions with a smile and made the whole experience enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about the quality of the swim spas. Oh boy, they were top-notch! I mean, I couldn't believe my eyes. The craftsmanship was impeccable, and you could tell that they really put a lot of effort into making these swim spas. I was blown away by the attention to detail and the overall design.
And let's not forget about the prices. They were surprisingly affordable! I was expecting to break the bank, but I was pleasantly surprised. The National Hot Tub Expo, LLC really knows how to give you bang for your buck.
I've had my new swim spa for a while now, and I gotta say, it's been a game-changer. I use it every day and it's been so rewarding. The relaxation and therapeutic benefits are out of this world. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Overall, I highly recommend checking out the National Hot Tub Expo, LLC if you're in the market for a swim spa. You won't be disappointed. Trust me, it's worth every penny.
Took forever to get the spa, it was delivered with parts missing
Took forever to get the spa, it was delivered with parts missing. It's been two weeks and I'm still waiting for the parts to be installed.
South East Spas are the BEST!
South East Spas are the BEST! They delivered on time as promised. When a part was missing, they promptly delivered it on the same day. They even included an extra box of chemicals right away. The setup was done in a timely manner. The staff was prompt, courteous, and professional. I'm just waiting for the cover I ordered, which I'm sure will be given to me soon.
I wanna give a shoutout to *** and her crew at National Hot Tub Expo, LLC for hooking me up with some awesome customer service
I wanna give a shoutout to *** and her crew at National Hot Tub Expo, LLC for hooking me up with some awesome customer service. They really went above and beyond to sort out my problems with the spa delivery. They were super polite and knew their stuff when it came to finding a solution. *** and her team stayed in touch with me the whole time and made sure I was in the loop. And you know what? They actually followed through on everything they said they would do to fix my issues. Big thanks to *** and her team! RSouth
I had a really frustrating experience with the folks at National Hot Tub Expo, LLC
I had a really frustrating experience with the folks at National Hot Tub Expo, LLC. I gotta warn ya, make sure ya read the fine print instead of trustin' what the salesperson tells ya. After I made my purchase, I discovered that there were better deals available elsewhere. And to top it off, when they didn't deliver on the promised date, all they had to say was, "Oops, sorry! We're at the mercy of our supplier." But here's the kicker, if I wanna cancel my order, they're gonna charge me 25% of the total cost. Talk about lousy customer service! The delivery date keeps changin' and if I didn't call 'em up to ask, I wouldn't have a clue what's goin' on!
We got a hot tub last August, but it only arrived in January
We got a hot tub last August, but it only arrived in January. When we set it up, it didn't work, so we had to wait two weeks for the repairman to come and check it out. They ended up ordering a new motor, but it turned out that it wasn't even necessary. Recently, we drained and refilled the hot tub, and now we're facing the same problems - the heater and jets aren't working. We'll have to wait a couple of weeks for the repairman to come again. With these two issues combined, we've missed out on using it for a total of 4 weeks out of the 4 1/2 months we've had it. This doesn't bode well for the future!
We got our Spa in August at the National Hot Tub Expo
We got our Spa in August at the National Hot Tub Expo. We finally got it delivered on June 2, 2022. We got the electrial hooked up, but we haven't filled the hot tub yet 'cause we didn't get the chemicals starter kit like they said we would. The delivery of the hot tub itself went okay. We're hoping to get the chemical kit real soon so we can fill up and start the Spa. We've waited 10 months for the Spa and we're crossing our fingers that there won't be any other problems once we get the chemical package.
Same thing happened to me
Same thing happened to me. They promised a "NEW" tub, but it was shown at the Tampa convention center and delivered to me 2 days later without the antiskid pads I ordered. They refunded me $300 for the stairs I ordered, but they said the stairs were on back order. I tried getting into the tub using a ladder, but I slipped on the entry stair and now I'm worried about trying again. I could have seriously gotten hurt. This is stopping me from enjoying my $30,000 spa. I'm waiting for similar stairs that I purchased on Wayfair for $700. I have many concerns that I'm disputing with the company. The representative was supposed to call me in 72 hours, but it's been a week and I haven't heard anything. She did send me the missing chemical starter kit, but she never responded to my email about paying for the stairs. The fins and exercise ball for legs have been discontinued and I expect to get my money back for those. I ordered easy pads, but they only brought 1 and I paid $1,500 for 1.5. What bothers me even more is that they never called to check if I was satisfied as a customer. People who bought spas from southeast spas should come together and file a big complaint against this company.
I bought a spa at an Expo in Florida in Jan 2021
I bought a spa at an Expo in Florida in Jan 2021. They said I'd get my "NEW" spa in April, but I didn't get it until the end of Oct 2021. Let me tell you, don't believe any excuses for the delays. This company does expos in NC, SC, GA & Fl, maybe more. They give you a date for an upcoming Expo near your delivery. But the Expo in NC wasn't until October! All I heard was how backed up the orders were at the factory! My neighbor went to a show in Myrtle Beach in April (I guess someone there must have requested mine or no deal.) So they come up with an excuse and I'm delayed. Then when the show here in Wilmington NC came along, the model they had on the Expo floor finally made it to my home. My neighbor who bought at the Myrtle Beach show got his in October when the show came to our town. Floor model? Hmmm, I was told I was getting it from the factory, but I guess I did after they displayed it at their show. That doesn't sound new like they said in the contract. Sounds like a floor model. So far, the spa works fine. The warranty says "From purchase date." Beware! The manufacturer still hasn't answered my request to start the warranty from the delivery date.

I made a down payment for a swim-spa on 9/4
I made a down payment for a swim-spa on 9/4. I emailed the customer service department to cancel the order at 10:37 am on 9/5. It was less than 24 hours since I made the purchase. The salesperson, ***, texted me saying she heard about the cancellation. However, I haven't received any confirmation of the cancellation yet. It seems like they are ignoring me now. I put down a deposit of $8600 and I want it refunded. I followed their procedure by canceling in writing within the specified timeframe.
I bought a hot tub from National Hot Tub Expo, LLC on September 13
I bought a hot tub from National Hot Tub Expo, LLC on September 13. I paid a deposit of $2500. The model I chose was the Clarity Series Model Precision 7. They said it would be delivered in 6 months. The payment method for the remaining amount of $5639.60 was cash on delivery, either by cashier's check or certified check. Around September 23, they called me to confirm my order and delivery address. They also reminded me about the payment method, which was still cash on delivery by certified check or cashier's check.
Since March 3, I have been trying to reach them through phone calls and emails. I gave them some leeway because of the bad weather in the South. Sometimes, someone does answer the phone at XXX-XXX-XXXX, but when I get transferred to voicemail, I don't get a response. I even sent an email through the ComplaintsBoard.com (ComplaintsBoard.com), but still no response. I do have a contract, but I don't know how to send it through the computer. I made the deposit using my debit cards, $2000.00 and $500.00.
Overall, I am frustrated with the lack of communication and the delay in delivery. I hope they can resolve this issue soon.
I'm extremely disappointed with National Hot Tub Expo, LLC
I'm extremely disappointed with National Hot Tub Expo, LLC. They are refusing to return my full deposit of $6500, even though my husband has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We signed the contract on 9/11 and gave them the deposit. The installation of the spa was dependent on the construction of a new patio, which was scheduled for April . However, on 11/25, my husband received the devastating news of his terminal illness. He has already undergone multiple surgeries and now has two colostomies and terminal cancer.
Due to his condition, we had to cancel all the patio work. I tried reaching out to the salesman, ***, but he hasn't responded to my texts and calls. I also sent an email to Zack, who informed me that they will be keeping 25% of the total purchase price as a cancellation fee. This is incredibly upsetting, considering that my husband's illness was completely unforeseen. I can't believe they would keep over $4,000 of our hard-earned money, especially when we informed them about his condition as soon as we found out. My husband is dying, and I believe they should have more compassionate policies for situations like ours.

In April , I went to a Hot Tub Expo at the Prime Osborne
In April , I went to a Hot Tub Expo at the Prime Osborne. I decided to buy a master spa from Southeast Spa and later tried to cancel my order. Unfortunately, I couldn't and they informed me that they would keep $5000 as a restocking fee, which was 25% of the total cost. I felt helpless and didn't think there was anything I could do about it.
Then, in September , I attended a convention center where I came across National Hot Tub. I really liked their spas and ended up signing a contract with them, thinking they were a different company. However, I had my doubts because I had previously had a terrible experience with Southeast Spa, where they took $5000 from me. I expressed my concerns to National Hot Tub, but still decided to go ahead with the contract.
After signing the contract with National Hot Tub, my husband needed to provide a prescription and correspondence from his doctor for the spa. So, I started communicating with the company through email. It was during this time that I discovered that National Hot Tub and Southeast Spa were actually the same company. I was shocked and disappointed.
When I approached them about the situation, they refused to refund my money or provide me with a hot tub. Instead, they wanted me to sign another contract. I felt frustrated and deceived by their actions.
Transaction date: 1/17
Transaction date: 1/17. I paid a deposit of $3450 on 1/17. The seller said the product would be delivered around May-June (today's date is 8/27). However, the seller hasn't delivered the product within the promised time and refuses to refund the deposit. They insist that I pay a 25% restocking fee of $2650, even though they claim the hot tub hasn't been built yet. This is a breach of contract on the seller's part since they haven't fulfilled their delivery obligation. Moreover, they won't provide a delivery date and refuse to communicate with me over the phone. I sent them an email inquiring about other products they offer as a possible substitute, but they want to charge me more money for a smaller unit. Curiously, when I called one of their salespeople, I discovered that the same smaller unit was priced at half of what the Sales Manager quoted me in the email. At this point, I strongly suspect that they are attempting to deceive me and take advantage of me financially. I demand a full refund of my deposit, totaling $3450.
So, I went to this National Hot Tub Expo thing in January
So, I went to this National Hot Tub Expo thing in January . I found this cool hot tub and decided to put down $3500 as a deposit. They said it would be ready by May . They give you like 3 days to change your mind, and if you don't, they take 25% of the total cost of the hot tub for no reason. That's pretty ridiculous if you ask me, but I wasn't planning on canceling anyway. Just a few days after the 3-day period, I get a call about the hot tub and they tell me it won't be ready until July. July? I was told May! And right after the deadline to cancel, they hit me with a 2-month delay. I had some questions, so I emailed back and forth with this guy named ***, who's supposed to be their Sales Manager. Let me tell you, everything he said on the phone and in the emails seemed sketchy. Basically, he made it clear that I'm stuck because it's been more than 3 days. I was and still am super mad about it. I feel like I got scammed, so I complained to the bank. It's been 2 months now, and I still haven't heard anything from the company. I would definitely avoid them if I were you.
I put a deposit down for a Twilight Series 8.2 on Feb 26
I put a deposit down for a Twilight Series 8.2 on Feb 26. I talked to a sales rep named ***, the delivery team, *** to confirm my order, and *** to complain about the delays. The contract says that if there's no delivery after 6 months, it's terminated. But it's not my fault that there are material shortages and delays, yet I have to either lose my deposit or pay a restocking fee for something that doesn't even exist. According to their contract, they have to give me 5 business days notice before delivery, but they haven't done that yet. I think National Hot Tub Expo is being deceptive in how they sell hot tubs and swim spas. They show up at warehouse or fairground locations, advertise great prices, but then don't deliver the product as promised in the contract. This leaves the customer with no choice but to lose their deposit, pay a restocking fee (even though there's no product to restock), or wait indefinitely for the product to be delivered.
We bought a hot tub in November and paid $2,700 as a down payment
We bought a hot tub in November and paid $2,700 as a down payment. The contract said it would be delivered no later than May - June , but the sales rep, ***, told us it could come as early as February . So I started calling in February '21 to check on the delivery, but I've been getting misleading information up until now, in June '21. I called multiple times and got the runaround, and I also emailed ***, the delivery rep, asking for a full refund if the tub wasn't delivered by the end of June. But she said there would be a penalty. Then, on June 28th, ***, another delivery rep, called to schedule the delivery for July 8th. I mentioned that I had emailed *** about the delivery being late, and if it was, the contract would be null and void. *** said there would be a 25% fee for canceling. I emailed ***, the manager in charge of refunds, on June 28th to cancel the purchase because of the late delivery, but he's on vacation until July 6th. This is really poor customer service, disrespectful, inconvenient, and unprofessional, with a threat.
We called to cancel the order and got a hold of customer service within the three days
We called to cancel the order and got a hold of customer service within the three days. There was no way to mail it before the 3 days certified mail. Customer service that should be fine to leave a message with the sales rep. When he calls a week later he said it should have mailed in writing through the post office and cannot be refunded. The owner refuses to talk to us and the sales rep said they can only invest the money in a smaller hot tub or hold the money up to a year and then it is forfeit. I am a disabled vet and my girlfriend is 100% disabled. We called a few times after and said I would mail it now to satisfy the requirement and the said it would be of no use. I repeatedly told them there contract is in contrast to online claims to call customer service for cancellations. The fact the owner refused to authorize a refund and stated the only thing he can do is invest it in a cheaper hot tub is false. The issue being would if the hot tub was ordered already which clearly it is not. They are playing games and the sales rep doesn't call back until called several times. They owe us $2900 for the deposit. They knew we cancelled and never ordered and in this case get a free $2900 Sale for nothing. They are ripping us off and we needed the money back as we stated due to an emergency. They don't care and think their contract to have to have in writing only is legal when Florida statute says buyer can communicate in anyway to let them know the sale is cancelled due to the ridiculous. I was willing to accept the restocking fee despite them not restocking anything. Please talk to them of how this is unfair and their lack of communication is rude and inconsiderate.
Me and my hubby went to this hot tub expo thing in October
Me and my hubby went to this hot tub expo thing in October . We put down 5 grand and still owed 10,045 bucks. They said the tub wouldn't be ready till April or May . They also said we didn't have to get it delivered right away 'cause we needed a concrete pad and electricity set up first. When we asked how they'd deliver it, they said it would be done all professional-like and wrapped up to protect it. But then outta nowhere, we get a call in March saying they need the rest of the money and wanna deliver ASAP. So me and the hubby had to scramble to get everything ready. We had to pour and paint a concrete pad in a hurry. We had no choice but to agree to an April 13 delivery date 'cause they were pressuring us.
On the day of delivery, a truck shows up with 2 young dudes. No cover, just an open trailer, and the straps were so tight they messed up the finish. These guys came all the way from their shop with no cover, exposed to the elements. When they started unloading it, they used some pipes to roll it off the trailer. But it kept falling off the pipes and getting stuck under the spa. They had to use some tool to lift it up and unjam the pipes. Finally, they got it to the concrete slab, but it fell off the pipes again and they banged it on the concrete, breaking the slab and scraping off the paint. They didn't even bother closing up the spa before they left, and they didn't attach the safety hooks for the cover. The straps left deep scuffs on the spa. And to make matters worse, they didn't bring the steps they promised and said they were on back order.
Months later, we finally got the steps, but by then we missed out on anniversary and birthday parties 'cause we couldn't use the spa. And not long after it was delivered, we found out the cover is messed up. (continued on an attached pdf file)
Unsatisfactory Customer Service
Unsatisfactory Customer Service
On Mar 20, 2021, the H2XTrainer 12 was delivered without a serial number provided. To this date, I still haven't been able to use it (two weeks ago)! The main issue is, it's uneven, raised 4-6 inches on one side. The installer suggested not adding water until this is fixed. I contacted Southeast Spa immediately, noting missing exercise equipment, a backordered ladder, and no starter chemical kit. Despite communication attempts, the issue persists, except I received the starter kit on the 29th. I'm waiting for the ladder and equipment. The level issue remains unaddressed. Dylan, who visited pre-delivery, didn't mention the need for leveling. As a US Air Force veteran of 24 years, now on a fixed income, I invested in this for water therapy to alleviate severe bilateral metatarsalgia and other health issues. I need urgent assistance to resolve this matter, as promised follow-ups have not occurred.
