I pawned a gaming console with case, extra controller, and 8 games
I pawned a gaming console with case, extra controller, and 8 games. But when I returned to retrieve it, they had misplaced my stuff. They said some employees had quit and they were clueless about what went down. They handed us a pre-owned console, but we still suffered a major loss on a nearly new console and games. Plus, we got hit with loads of fees for storing a console they clearly didn't possess.
I pawned my new studio monitor at National Jewelry & Pawn, Inc
I pawned my new studio monitor at National Jewelry & Pawn, Inc. and they were working fine at the time. However, when I paid to retrieve them, there was noticeable wear and tear and the speakers were not functioning properly. I requested compensation, but the store manager tried to fix them on camera and was unsuccessful. I would appreciate it if I could be compensated for my speakers. The address is ***.
I had an item in pawn on the 17th or 18th
I had an item in pawn on the 17th or 18th. I called the manager and explained that I had just gotten out of the hospital and couldn't go out. I was gonna send my niece to pick it up for me. I was told that no one could pick it up for me, but this was not a written policy or rule. So, I had to pick it up on the 22nd of February. Therefore, I was charged an additional month's fee. How can this be valid? I would like the extra money I paid returned. If this policy or rule that no one can pick up my item for me, show me this policy or rule in writing.

Long story short, I've invested ovr $12,000 in this one pawnshop in the past few years
Long story short, I've invested ovr $12,000 in this one pawnshop in the past few years. I go in and make $700 payments and more. New management came and now they're double charging me and won't give me my Nintendo Switch. I paid for it in full and they wouldn't release it, saying I still owed, which ain't true. I paid again in full and still they won't let me get my Nintendo Switch. It's over $900 worth of Nintendo Switch stuff. I got all my receipts from Gamestop. They look at it like I'll keep paying and not worry 'bout the item, thinking they got a free item worth a lot. No. I want my Nintendo Switch and I actually owe the pawnshop $300 due to overpayment. Someone, please contact me and get me my switch that I paid to the pawnshop twice and they won't release it.
I pawned 3 items: a gold necklace, a designer purse, and branded glasses
I pawned 3 items: a gold necklace, a designer purse, and branded glasses. About a week ago, I got a call reminding me to pay for my necklace to prevent forfeiture. They didn't mention my purse and glasses. Then, on 6/2, I received a text stating my loan would forfeit on 6/1, urging me to pay. The online portal wouldn't process my payment. Calling the store, they said I had to clear all fees to reclaim my items. They admitted my items were forfeited on 5/28. When I inquired about the lack of notification, they offered excuses and mentioned courtesy calls. They claimed a computer sets forfeiture dates and they follow daily printouts for calls. Yet, no one could explain the missed call. Their practices seemed deceptive.
My name is [Redacted] and I had a layaway at National Pawn 2751 Capital Blvd Raleigh NC 27604
My name is [Redacted] and I had a layaway at National Pawn 2751 Capital Blvd Raleigh NC 27604. I came in on 10/09 and put a ring on layaway, item number [Redacted] in the category [Redacted]. I have been making monthly payments on this ring. Today, when I called to make my payment, they told me it was defaulted and the ring was no longer there. They said I have a credit of $49.70. I spoke to the manager [Redacted] and he hung up on me twice instead of helping me, which made me even more upset. Another employee was very helpful to me. I want to know why my ring disappeared and why I have a credit if it wasn't my fault. It was mentioned that the ring might have been scrapped and the regional manager collects those at the end of the month, but the ring is not there. I have sent an email to the regional manager Shawn and I am waiting for a response. Please help me in this case. This ring was very personal to me and I really just want it back. Thanks, [Contact Information Redacted].
I went to National Jewelry & Pawn, Inc on Saturday, November 20
I went to National Jewelry & Pawn, Inc on Saturday, November 20. It's at 2751 Capital Blvd Raleigh, NC [protected]. I went there to get a loan for my 2017 ***. An employee named *** helped me. They checked my laptop's password and wrote down some specs, which they said were needed to complete the loan process. They gave me an offer for my laptop, and I agreed to the amount. *** gave me the money, and I left before 12 noon. Later, on Sunday, November 21, at 12:04am, I got a message on my ***. It said, "YOUR *** ID AND PHONE NUMBER ARE NOW BEING USED FOR iMESSAGE AND FACETIME ON A NEW ***. IF YOU RECENTLY SIGNED INTO YOUR *** YOU CAN IGNORE THIS NOTIFICATION." I didn't sign into my *** because I left it at the Pawn Shop for the loan. It's not part of the agreement or contract for them to use my personal property. It's very unprofessional. They're accessing my personal possession and my PERSONAL INFORMATION! The store is closed until Monday, November 22nd at 9am, and I planned to be out of town for Thanksgiving. I'm so disappointed that someone at National Pawn took my laptop and is using it without permission. I expected them to leave my laptop alone while I was gone.
In April , I had a money problem, so I went to National Pawn because they offer loans
In April , I had a money problem, so I went to National Pawn because they offer loans. I went to the store on Market Street, and there were a few customers there. The worker asked if I was military and if I wanted to pawn my $2000+ Diamond bracelet. I said no, I needed a loan. They gave me $600 and said there would be an interest fee, which I expected since my car loan had payments. Then I went to the South College store and got a loan of $715 for my $2000+ Aquamarine gold bracelet. They didn't tell me that a pawn loan is only for thirty days. I've been paying high interest and fees on the loan every month. Only later did the Market Street store tell me that my monthly payments don't go towards the principal! They only collect interest and storage fees, and I have to keep paying until I can give them the principal for each piece of jewelry I borrowed against. National Pawn has over $1500 worth of my small jewelry in their showcase. I couldn't afford to keep paying hundreds of dollars to National Pawn for all my jewelry, so I narrowed it down to five important and valuable pieces. I borrowed $2565 and paid $3200, and they still have $2000 worth of my other jewelry to sell. I'm losing out here. I'm an older person being taken advantage of! I work two jobs and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I want my jewelry back! The papers I signed have different high interest rates for each transaction, like 124% and 264%. If I had money, I would have paid off the loans! National Pawn knows I'm struggling and don't want to lose my precious jewelry! I'm not a bank! I don't have a TV or credit cards. I thought I was making payments on a loan, just like my car loan. National Pawn takes your valuable jewelry and gives you a low loan amount, and when you can't pay it off right away, they win.
I took a nine piece set of drums and a 50 inch Roku TV to sell, both in perfectly working condition
I took a nine piece set of drums and a 50 inch Roku TV to sell, both in perfectly working condition. I waited while the manager inspected the items and we agreed on a price. I initially called and visited the business on 1/5 between 5-6pm and spoke with a sales rep named ***. I found an item of interest but decided to sleep on making a decision. I returned on 1/6 between 3:30-4:30pm after calling back and speaking with *** about purchasing the item and showing them the items I had for sale due to downsizing my home.
I carefully loaded my items, wrapping the TV in two blankets - one comforter and one thick quilted movers blanket. I drove from Huntersville N. C. to Gastonia and went inside to see "***" who was busy helping another customer. After waiting for 10-20 minutes and noticing that no one was approaching me about bringing the items in, I simply asked for the use of their cart to negotiate a deal. After bringing the items in, I was asked whether I wanted to pawn or sell them. I replied that I wanted to sell.
I patiently browsed around the store for another 20 minutes while the manager inspected my merchandise. Then, they asked me how much I was looking to get for the items. I asked for the value relating to pawn shop figures, which are usually lower than the actual value. They never gave a clear answer, so I sarcastically said $300, knowing it wouldn't happen. *** then finally came and said they could do $200. I replied, "Do $225 and we have a deal," as this was from her manager on duty. After giving her my ID to complete the transaction, I waited again, this time just to sign the proper paperwork and receive the cash.
Then, *** and her manager beckoned me over after they had removed the items from the cart onto the concert floor. They claimed that my TV screen was cracked. I, of course, replied that it wasn't cracked when I brought it in, and it wasn't cracked when I loaded it onto their cart. The cart had been sitting in front of their sales counter while other customers came and went. The manager and *** immediately turned into customer service nightmares, responding abrasively and refusing to provide any type of solution or customer care.
Feeling disappointed by this botched transaction due to the sudden cracked TV screen, I reluctantly asked for the amount on the 9pc drummer alone. The management told me that they were not going to do business with me at all. Wow! Talk about a letdown! I then went outside and called non-emergency 911 to explain my issue and waited for an officer to arrive. The officer showed up, I explained my experience, and he went inside to speak to the manager for a short while. He then told me to settle the matter in civil court.
I packed up my items and left. It was then between the hours of 5:30-6:00pm.
