My late father passed on in January 2021. He was employed as an electrician at City Power Johannesburg, and his provident fund monies are being administered by a company called NBC Holdings, a Fund Administration company based in Braamfontein. There only monies I have received to date from NBC Holdings is a R100 000.00 (hundred thousand rand) amount after waiting for more than a year. The rest of the money due to the estate are apparently on hold (for an unknown amount of time) as "there is a court case pending" according to NBC. (When I looked up NBC on the internet I have read that NBC allegedly invested monies into a company that has since been liquidated). No other information has been provided to us, and request for details (i.e. where the court case is at the present time, when we can expect to receive our monies etc.) has been met with silence by NBC. Complaints about our current state of bankruptcy, (due to the high cost of living, and administration expenses related to death), eviction and starvation has been received with an unsympathetic ear by NBC. We are now considering involving a lawyer as we have run out of patience!
Desired outcome: We want the monies due to us to be paid!
