Nibble Super Expensive

Don’t fall into the trap of doing the free trial or they will charge you and not let you get any of that money back because they make it very difficult to contact them. The information is nice, but so limited for the insane price you have to pay. I wish I could get my money back. This could be a cool idea, but they just don’t have the extensive stories and information viable for the price they are charging.

Nibble Good luck logging in

Need to pay them money? That system works perfectly. Need to log in with the password that you just created?… good luck. Reset your password? You won’t get that reset email. How is it that I can get a “thanks for joining “ email instantaneously but not a password reset? Maybe you should work on the back end systems before taking ppl money. I will be telling my cc to cancel the charge if I can’t even log in for the first time. Ridiculous

Nibble Don’t Waste Your Time

The app is buggy, the content is severely lacking, and the entire experience is very overpriced. When you try to quit they funnel you down multiple pages of forced responses to allow you to continue, ( i.e tell us why you are quitting - answer must contain more then 10 characters ), then offer you a discount, then ( at least for me the first time ) reports an error and forces you through the whole process again. Strongly recommend avoiding.

Nibble A wonderful change from doom scrolling to (re)learning through an educational app

The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is I haven’t experienced it’s entirety. What a welcome change to the usual experience of modern accessibility to apps and games and killing time. I am reminded how much I have forgotten over the years with Nibble. Now, if and when I get bored with this app, only then do I play other games to pass my time. This one engages and entertains while sharing(or sharing again) actual knowledge, not for a candy crush or what have you.

Nibble It’s a trap, don’t waste your time

First of all is a huge data mining operation
After you fill more than 5 minute of questions they are asking you to pay a monthly or directly a yearly subscription

Even the trial is trough payment information, a very limited version with upgradable in app payments is something I would use and later suscribe is the content is decent, but this is more like a timeshare scam than a training app.

Although the advertisement in IG is great I’m going to block and report

Nibble Free to download, pay to actually use

This app looks really cool in the ads, and I was super excited to see that it was free and had decent reviews. It has you give it a bunch of information, but it doesn’t actually let you do any of the activities unless you pay a subscription fee. Sure you can get seven days for free as a trial, but they’re banking on you forgetting to cancel it because that’s the most expensive plan. It’s dishonest. If you want people to pay, just put that in the description instead of wasting their time.

Nibble Good concept, poor execution

Wanted to try this primarily to keep up with math, which I’ve slipped behind in. Its unclear how your selections in the first questionnaire actually affect the outcome and it feels misleading how they don’t present you with the free trial before asking you to pay a fairly high subscription fee for a buggy experience. Only a few of the photos loaded meaning I couldn’t do the activity because the photos were key to delivering the experience. Hopefully it can improve but as of now it is unusable.

Nibble Beware

Beware this app’s sign-up page is designed to “upsell” and immediate bill you for payment without a confirmation page. I immediately requested a refund and cancelation of the $19.99 “upsell” that was withdrawn. I’m curious to see how it will be handled. This reeks of an ugly and intentional manipulation of design to get people’s money so my expectations are low.

UPDATE: low expectations met. No refund available for the upsell. Beware of what you click on with this designer. It’s likely to cost you money.

Nibble Not like the ads

Based off the ads I thought this was going to be a fun trivia quiz game featuring various subjects like art, mathematics etc., basically the grown up version of Trivia Crack. However it’s more about enhancing your ability to learn and gaining knowledge on whatever subject you pick. Overall there’s nothing wrong with that but I wished it was advertised better because I was seriously disappointed after downloading it. Especially advertising it as a free app but then after you fill out their survey you have to pick a payment plan in order to even use the app.

Nibble Very cool

Saw this in an Instagram ad and said screw it what’s the worst that could happen. Turns out this is actually a really neat app! The lessons are interesting and designed well. I’m a big fan of the little interactive graphics they have too. Only problem I have with it is I think it’d be cool if you could zoom in on the pictures in the lessons, especially the art ones. It’d also be nice if once you completed a lesson it’d be removed from the “for you” section so you could get a better idea of what lessons you haven’t done already. Overall a very fun app that I will continue to use.

Nibble Eh

I somehow missed that there was a free trial and ended up paying the money because I really liked the concept and wanted to check it out. Totally not worth the money. I would’ve been fine paying a few bucks to test it out but not as much as I was charged. The lessons are just meh, there’s nothing really interesting you learn. You definitely don’t learn anything about “logic” as a study, they just show you some articles about examples paradoxes and such. There aren’t even that many lessons to choose from and most are pretty basic concepts you learn in high school math.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews before paying. But oh well.

Nibble Be Careful When Signing Up for 'Free Trials'

Developers force you to try “a free trial”, after which you’ll automatically be charged for 12 months or 12 weeks before you even get a chance to see what the app is about and what it has to offer. Typical app that makes money by relying on you forgetting that you signed up for a free trial and that continuation costs $$$. I completed the questionnaire, but dropped off after the subscription window popped up - why would I share my card information if I don’t even know what the app has to offer? Common practice in mobile app monetization, but very scammy.

Developers can do better. Let people try the app before pushing subscription models on people.

Nibble Not helpful

I tried it out, because the add talked about learning logic as an adult, which I think logic is a topic lacking in most university studies today and so I decided to download the app to gain more understanding and hopefully take a course on logic. After answering a bunch of pointless questions and being asked to pay, I closed out of the menu and was offered a free trial. I accepted the trial and found the courses to be lacking, in substance and most of the “logic puzzles” I already knew the answers to. Things like the game show paradox (where if you pick the first door then you should pick a different doo r when given the chance) or survivor bias. Basically shorter and less accurate TED talks which you have to read yourself.

Nibble Not A Very Useful App/Subscription Cancellation Issues

The interface of this app was not useful or enriching. It forces you to pay before you try the app on an automatically renewing subscription.

Submitting a cancellation request produces a suspicious message in Russian that loosely translates to a confirmation of the cancellation of your subscription. It wasn’t until three months later that I became aware that I was continuing to be charged at a higher rate than the initial subscription fee.

I was unable to access the app again to attempt to ensure that the subscription was cancelled and had to unauthorize the payment through my PayPal account.

A dispute of the charges incurred is out to their customer service division, but I’m not very optimistic.

I believe this app is a sham and is funneling money and personal data to bad actors in Russia.

Nibble No idea what I’m getting

Went through the initial onboarding and before I even knew what the service looked like, I reached a paywall. I’m not against paying for something that will add value to my life, but I went through this long questionnaire and I don’t know what this service/product is. It’s… something to do with learning? and goals? art history? finance? I still don’t know.

I do want to add more learning into my life, but 59.99 annually (or even the cheaper option of 39.99 for 12 weeks) upfront is a lot to drop on an app without really knowing what it does. If there was a cheaper monthly option or a brief (even 24-hr) trial option, I might consider the annual fee. It was just an off-putting experience to go through this long questionnaire and then be asked to pay so much money without even knowing what the product or user experience is.

Nibble Waiting for improvement

Currently started the free trial since it asks for a subscription first. So far it’s a good idea that needs improved execution. For one, some of the lessons aren’t fully functional at least with certain images or interactive images.

Secondly, there isn’t that many lessons…for now. Hopefully they add more to this but it’s very lacking and not worth the cost for $60 a year subscription. Now I could be wrong and there’s more once bought, however that’s not a smart move; let us see all of the content OR, tell us that there is more (or will be more in the future) after we subscribe.

Finally, it’s a lot of money to ask for as a subscription for something that isn’t continuously growing or giving back. Take notes from “Encode” (on App Store) to see a good product that knows it’s own subscription value without needing to add more to itself.

Nibble Great but Course Count is Limited

Nibble is a visually beautiful app. It reminds me a lot of Duolingo and that’s a good thing. Duolingo set a standard for educational apps and the fact that Nibble has that Duolingo standard makes it eye grabbing.

As for the content itself, that’s where Nibble gets a little confusing. The onboarding of the app puts you through a large quiz and basically a survey asking you lots of questions, and then when it’s done, you’re sent to a Home Screen of recommended topics.

The intro survey is a bit too time consuming, especially if you’re trying to quickly see what the app has in store. The app also immediately brought me to a purchase screen without even seeing what I’m paying for first. IMO give me some free lessons to complete THEN bring me to a purchase screen.

So far I’ve done the Monty hall lesson and the computing lesson. They are very fun to read and I love the visuals and quiz like foundation. The app does a great job at providing useful information.

I’ve done exploring on the Home Screen and there are some critiques that I have:

1. Library only shows completed courses and not “All” courses. It makes me wonder, how many courses does Nibble have? The Home Screen makes it look like a low number (less than 30)

2. The User Interface of the Home Screen is visually pleasing but the overall layout still has me confused on where to go next. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very nice, but for beginners, it’s kind of overwhelming. I think it would be cool if there was a category called “Beginners Start Here” and have that be the best, highly rated courses on the app that are best suitable for beginners.

3. The yearly subscription is a bit hard to identify what I’m paying for exactly. The app doesn’t make it clear what’s included for free and what isn’t. I think that there should be a distinction between paid and free content.

So there you have it. Nibble is really cool. I recommend giving the free trial a look. But make it more obvious just how much content is being presented (ie show all courses in the library) and make it clear what subscribers are getting with their subscription.

Honestly, I wouldn’t personally subscribe to this. I would rather just pay a one time fee for an entire course load rather than a monthly subscription. For example, “Nibble Full” is $39 lifetime full purchase vs “Nibble Monthly” is $5 a month or something.

Thanks for the educational experience!

Nibble Nibble app

I downloaded this app from the App Store, with its free trial. Once I wanted to cancel because I found the content very limited, there was no button to do so on the app, even on my App Store there was no purchase, subscription or whatsoever. The only thing that’s on the app and App Store is a fake email and the emails get bounced back. They proceeded to take 24.99 pounds from my account , then 19.99 then 11.99 on the same day, and kept trying to take them for a month, fortunately I froze the card in time. No way I can get the refund through the apple customer support nor the owner of the app

Claimed loss: 56,97

Desired outcome: Refund and ban from the App Store of that app

Nibble Nibble App

Provided no means to cancel subscription and then charged me for renewal on 19th November. App is not useful and I do not use it. They don’t have the normal mechanism for unsubscribing. I had to cancel the payments through PayPal. I’ve contacted them 3 times because I cannot afford the very expensive subscription they snuck through. They haven’t replied to 3 emails I’ve sent in the past week.

Claimed loss: 29.84 USD

Desired outcome: A full refund.

Nibble Nibble Restore Purchases

I have an annual subscription but when changing my phone I was asked to sign up again. When clicking the Restore Purchase button, it would just load endlessly. I have tried to re-install the app, tried to do this on various wifi networks as well as mobile data, but the result is always the same. I’m unsure what I’m paying for if I cannot restore the subscription

Claimed loss: Almost 11 months of my annual subscription

Desired outcome: Solution to restoring my subscription or refund

Nibble App

I did free trial and then when I went to delete my account to not be charged since I found the app glitchy and not satisfactory, even though the concept is brilliant. Unfortunately, it did not let me delete the account due to a glitch, and then it charged me. After not replying to emails until I was charged, they have not been helpful via email. Now they won’t refund me. I just would like my money back since it chose the most expensive option!

Desired outcome: Refund

Nibble Restarting a monthly plan after cancellation

I have been subscribed to the monthly plan of this app, which i found out lately that it completely lacked quality.

I cancelled it before it was renewed on 11 August, and the couple of days later my debit card was used for another monthly plan, with an email:

"Yay! Now you have a 1-month subscription plan for Nibble!"

What kind of a rip-off is this? I didn't even have an access to my account anymore once I unsubscribed!

REFUND WHAT YOU HAVE STOLEN IMMEDIATELY! THIS IS A RIP-OFF

Desired outcome: REFUND

Nibble Waste of time and money

Don’t fall for it, this app is not what it promises to be. Most of the images “would not load” or as they put it “image was stolen by aliens” which is not cute. It’s probably just a cover for image licensing issues rendering the content pretty much useless.

Nibble I want a refund - do not use - no content

While the idea of "nibling" information as supposed to chunks of data sounds quite interesting, the fact that it doesn't have enough content to last a year of subscription! Even after "updating" the app after the trial version, nothing changed, nothing were added. Very misleading!

Please read before even opening the app!

15 minutes of questions to try and hook you with a “sunk cost of time” bias. Then they ask for $60 to access anything.

Nibble Must sign up for a subscription to use

I’m done with these apps that are free to download. Make you answer a bunch of questions first, then say you have to pay to continue to use the app. If that’s the case you should have to pay on download so you know what you’re getting into. But that would cut into download stats. Hate this predatory new app marketing

Nibble Do not get!

App is not complete. Pictures crucial to learning are missing. Useless. Plus… makes one think there’s a free trial but you have to pay. Canceling us a pain. You have to file a complaint through Apple to get your money back. Apple needs to hold the developer more accountable since so many people are having the time issues.

Nibble Money Grab

My suspicions were confirmed when I saw that I needed to pay to get the lessons. If the devs really wanted it to be easier and more convenient to learn, it would’ve been free, right? Looks promising, if they made it free. At the bare minimum, they should’ve made a free trial to see if it’s worth the money or not. Guess I’ll never know ‍♂️.

Nibble Misleading and not up front

This company is not transparent and use tactics which are misleading and ended wasting my time. It had me fill several questions which were not well developed just to end up with purchase offer. I hate when companies do that. If it’s a paid application then that should be stated first before wasting people’s time with “profiling” questions.

Nibble Misleading and disappointing

The ad for this app is misleading and as there was no free trial I paid thinking it would be one thing and it wasn’t. Instead I got an app with disorganized “lessons” that read as if someone just got some stuff off Wikipedia. Nibble Terrible cancellation rigmarole

Got the app initially through a trial then cancelled it. The team is telling me it didn’t cancel properly so I’ve now been charged an ADDITIONAL $15 for an app I haven’t used this month. Quite frustrating the customer support can’t get that resolved and decide the cite their terms of service when telling me why they’ll keep my $15 even though I cancelled their service already.
