I am complaining about our dollar portion retention held since 2017
Our company Boyus Engineering Nigeria Limited executed a contract for the Maintenance of Three Cells of Ogbaimbiri Flowstation Bund wall for your CRV department. All payments were received by 2017 but the retention was held which is normal. After the expiration of the six months retention due date, we applied for the release, and the Naira portion was released but the Dollar portion was still being held.
Please kindly use your good office to effect the release of our Dollar portion. We have before now written several reminder emails to the head of treasury but no reply.
Desired outcome: We need to be paid our overdue retention
Nonpayment of jobs completed
Sir, we sent the mail below to you on 22/07/2020, and had expected a confirmation of receipt. Please kindly confirm receipt of our mail as we wait for your invitigation and action.
Thanks.
Sir, we are a contractor to NAOC and was awarded a contract to construct a Waste Sorting Station (PO [protected]) and Access Road ([protected]) both at Ebocha residential area. We completed our job on 5/12/2019 and submitted all our invoices for the Waste Sorting Station while that of the access road has to wait a formal contract to be raised and was submitted sometime in May 2020. The delay was due to the internal working of NAOC. Also in late December 2019, a contract for the construction of Military accommodation ([protected]) was awarded to us to do detailed design and construction, we commenced design immediately and completed design in February after NAOC made all their input and it was agreed that we mobilize to site. We on 07/02/2020 wrote NAOC to complain of the challenges we are facing following the refusal to pay us for our previous job. That though we have completed designs for Kwale we can not mobilize following our Bankers' refusal to grant us further credit. No reply. On 18/03/2020, we wrote again to NAOC to request that the project be revoked but that our achieved milestone 1 be paid to us, following Nonpayment, Our Banker refusal to grant further credit facility, and the raging Coronavirus pandemic which lead to the shutdown of all economic activities. No reply. Sometimes in April 2020 we received a part payment of our Ebocha project and it was not enough to upset of financial obligation to our banker/Suppliers and as such, we were not able to demobilize our construction equipment from the site because we had earlier agreed with the community that we have run out of cash and will come to pay them their end of contract bonus immediately we are paid by December 2019. That was not to be.
We have written several reminders to the NAOC manager and project engineer on this but no response. We have also written to the MD but no response.
Sir, we request you to use your good offices to direct that;
1. Our balance of payment for Ebocha project to paid without further delay;
2. Our milestone 1 for Kwale accommodation is paid.
Thank you.

Alarm bells should be ringing at these 2 points
Point 1) if he is a Barrister, why is his email address domain hotmail.com as opposed to a Nigerian Law Company name
Point 2) Western Union Money Transfer, with no bank references nor company quote codes for insurance policies, etc.
All very suspicious
