Warning, DO NOT purchase NordicTrack products!
I purchased a brand new NordicTrack Commercial 1500 Treadmill over the phone directly from headquarters in Logan, UT. While I was jogging at an average pace (male, 6ft, 195lbs), the frame suddenly broke. Fortunately, I caught myself and was not badly injured.
NordicTrack is supposed to have a Lifetime Warranty on the frame. DON'T believe it! After months of submitting proof of purchase, proof of delivery, pictures, etc., they rejected my request for a replacement.
I cannot get a manager or anyone making these decisions on the phone to discuss the matter further. They clearly prefer negative publicity over standing behind their products/warranty.
It makes me wonder if they would have handled this situation differently if I had been badly injured?
Recommendation: DO NOT Purchase
This is a follow-up review from my previous posting...
I received a phone call today from the Product Resolution Dept. It was unclear what prompted their call. I don't know if it was a result of my previous posting or for some other reason. But, I'm pleased to report, the company changed their original decision and have now agreed to replace my treadmill.
Yes, it would have been much better to have this issue solved properly from the beginning, but at least it ended well and they honored the Warranty. And, for that, I felt compelled to update my previous review.
