Stay far away from this bank they charge silly account fees . When I ask to close my account they hold me hostage and say I need a checking account in order to clear my payments funny every other institution I have payments come out and they don't hold me to a checking account on top of that I've received over 100$ in bank fees in the last 2 months ...

STAY FAR AWAY THEY ARE SCAMMERS GO TO A REAL BANK LET THESE PEOPLE GO BANKRUPT .

Almost 5 years ago we were talked into purchasesing an RSP in the form of what they call class B shares, they were to be locked in for a period of 4 years, the 4 years has come and gone and we are getting no return on the investments so we wanted to transfer them to a different type of RSP and they will not allow us to and will not allow us access to our money, they have pretty much stolen it as far as I can see, called again on Friday March 8 2019 and was told they have to sell them and that could take years if ever, so I guess we have pretty much kissed that money goodbye
We will report to the ombudsman and consider legal action, very misleading scam they are running and we were told that plenty of folks are upset about not being able to get to their money

First of all I have been a member of the credit union for 10 years at the same branch. My husband and I are gainfully employed individuals and have a monthly income of 6000.00 . On November 17 the after trying to book appointment that would fit our schedules we finally got on. We spoke to Amanda at the Red River road branch the ladies we used to deal with have either left or retired so the current employees are unfamiliar to us as as we are to them. I wanted to close off my term deposit knowing I would lose a small amount of interest due to the fact the money was going to be used elsewhere she stated would have to forward to manager? For approval . I understand there is hierarchy in a company but here I am almost 2 weeks later with no concrete answer. Why do I have to spend time trying to get an answer to withdraw my money that I earned? This is unacceptable and very poor customer service. We have made appointment with another financial institute and after having such a long history with the Credit union I am disappointed that I will be doing my banking elsewhere.

This company scammed me out of $750.00 as they said instead of a co-signer if I could come up with the security and etransfer it I would receive my money in 1-2 days. Well it has been since last Wednesday Dec 9th/2015 that I sent the money in and to no avail can't reach anyone by phone or email. I honestly believe I have been scammed and want some help to recover my deposit if someone could help me. They say The Lending Plaza is there privacy policy and terms but can't reach them either. I have lots of emails between us but they suddenly stopped after they received my deposit.
