NorthOne Violated my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act by not reporting the reasoning behind why my account was denied

Violated my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act by not reporting the reasoning behind why my account was denied. (I have multiple accounts and have zero ideas about why I was denied. When I spoke to customer service about this they stopped responding and essentially blocked me. (I was very nice to the person). Not a reputable company by any means.

NorthOne This place is RIDICULOUS

This place is RIDICULOUS. They have cost my business hundreds of dollars in late fees and charges because in APRIL they "upgraded" the app. I SPECIFICALLY asked about being able to still deposit checks at an ATM, since the app would be temporarily unavailable. I was told "absolutely". I was lied to. I have not been able to deposit funds into my account in over a month. HOW IS A BUSINESS SUPPOSED TO RUN? As my account dwindled due to not being able to make a deposit, the "bank" offered me 4 months of free service. What a joke! I would not recommend this place to any business, EVER. I'm lucky that I still have a business after dealing with these people. What bank doesn't allow deposits for over a MONTH? It's infuriating, and I intend on taking action.

NorthOne Immediately no, if you are thinking about opening an account with them just no!

Immediately no, if you are thinking about opening an account with them just no! I say this because I had just opened a business account for my business and received an email stating that this company thought that my account had suspicious activity although it had only been open for a couple days and I even made a $50 deposit which included a $75 referral fee ( great, thats how they get you!) I believe that that is very unprofessional, why not inquire about the information prior to suspending someones account? I cant even open the app to login etc.. Why not notify someone before hand that this could potentially be happening if the information isnt provided by a certain date BEFORE suspension? I should have read up on this company a lot more so it is definitely my fault for being ignorant, but this company is still a big scam for business owners. From reading other reviews, a lot of the reviews definitely resonate with my experience with this company. Absolutely awful..

NorthOne I opened an account with this bank in November

I opened an account with this bank in November . It took about 5 minutes to provide all my information to open an account. I was approved shortly afterwards. The customer service was always helpful and very responsive. The bank sent several emails out stating that they will be upgrading all accounts and sending out new cards. They keep reassuring that we would love it and the process would be seemless...THEN supposedly the upgrade begins. I go to open the app and it says we are updating the app and it will take three minutes. I thought to myself OK no worries I'll wait. The wait has been WEEKS! I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY OWN MONEY! THIS IS MY BUSINESS AND MY MONEY THAT I WORK HARD FOR! Suddenly customer service is AWFUL, RUDE, AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL! Customer service keeps telling me that they need a document from secretary of state to complete the upgrade to my account. WHAT?!?!? I asked SEVERAL times to give me MY MONEY AND CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. THEY HAVE NOT! Please help me!

NorthOne This Bank(if you can even call it a bank)does not function like a typical bank would

This Bank(if you can even call it a bank)does not function like a typical bank would. I applied online for an account ,they sent me a Business account debit card I activated it the downloaded their banking app. Set it up. Then I funded the account with an opening amount of Fifty dollars by bank wire transfer from my personal account. Then after they received it within A few days they put a security lock on the account. They wanted me to submit a state issued government valid ID and a copy of my bank statement with my address matching my state I'd i sent they got it.then i was told by email it would take up to 90 Days to review and my understanding was the account would remained lock..I immediately started getting angry about it and decided I not happy with their decision and demanded close the account. I was then told once the review is complete. My account is locked with my funds in it and they are allow the money to draw interest to benefit them..A traditional bank would have acted on this like in a heart beat. I have saved all of my back and forth I have had with them.and some of my last emails to them got real nasty. But the fact remains I wanted the account closed and they refuse to do it.Also they are holding my funds..What is that about? Now I am officially filing a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com on Northone Bank.

NorthOne You cannot call them - not even to report fraud

You cannot call them - not even to report fraud. The *** and reddit threads explain it correctly. They start by saying you are not in good standing with your state of business. In my case, I am, so I thought this was phishing. Then I got an email saying the account was closed, so I assumed this is phishing as well. When I go to the app, it says I am locked out - exactly what I would expects if a fraudster tried to login too many times. So I contact the bank to tell them, but you cannot actually tell them that. You can email or chat a bot, but they do not respond. I found that this is very common with NorthOne, and it was probably not outside phishing. This is how they take funds on deposit. If you have money in the account, they will tell you that they are closing it, and that you cannot talk to anyone about it. Most people seem to be losing $700-$5,000. I noticed that people have better luck recovering the funds if they file a complaint with the division of banking in their state and the federal reserve. The actual bank is ***. I have noticed that people who get attorneys to help them recover the funds seem to have a better recovery rate. The only way to contact NorthOne about this is email, but they don't respond. I was actually unable to find any reviews from people who received a response ever. Regulators will have the best chance of getting in touch. If you lose less than $5,000, it is probably not worth the legal fees to get it back. That is probably why they target accounts in that range. Just budget to lose that amount when you open the account, and don't put more in than you are willing to give them. I just had to pay a $7,000 retainer to get an attorney to start the process.

NorthOne Refund check verification

My account at northone was closed so they issued me a refund check for the funds that I had in the account when it got closed so I take the check to get cashed at a check cashing and the needed to verify the check over the phone and they don't have a phone number for anyone to call them. so I was chatting with someone online about my situation and they refused to get me a number so now I'm stuck with a check I cannot cash.

Desired outcome: Some phone number for check cashing company can call to verify the check

NorthOne I am starting a new business and signed up for a checking account with NorthOne

I am starting a new business and signed up for a checking account with NorthOne. They advertised a $75 bonus after depositing $50. I deposited $50 on January 4, 2022 and received the bonus. Then, a few hours later, I received a suspicious e-mail saying they were suspending my account, requesting a SELFIE (what kind of bank is this?), or else they were going to close my account. Go ahead and close the account. I don't want to do business with weirdos like this. But you need to refund the $50 deposit and the $75 bonus you promised, ASAP.

My business debit card was stolen in early January, and there were over 1k in fraud charges. I did everything the bank said to do, and they STILL *** not credited the fraud charges. They claim they have 90 days on a business account. EVERY bank i speak to, says a credit should have been given within 10 days.VERY poor customer service, very ignorant customer service.

NorthOne I had a business checking account with NorthOne bank

I had a business checking account with NorthOne bank. I was contacted for DBA paperwork claiming it was for an account upgrade. I did not send anything in, they failed at that brim to disclose that would close my account. When I contacted them because I could no longer access my account they closed it and informed me they would send my funds in the next 24-48 hours and that the newly transferred funds would bounce back. In the two weeks since neither of those things have happened. $54 in my account and $125 transferred that they claim was not received.

NorthOne I opened a free business checking with a $50 deposit online

I opened a free business checking with a $50 deposit online. After a few months, I was sent a new gold debut card. I ignored it at first but kept getting notifications that I had to activate the new card. Once I did, I began getting statements with a decrease in balance. I inquired several times as to why. Then I requested my account after not receiving any answers. I was told I had to call in to close the account. Each time I called I could not get through the automated system because I did not have proper credentials. This went on for several months and today I received another new statement telling me to log in.

I applied for the account through an advertisement in another app. Nowhere did it say that there was a fee involved prior to the application.. Evidently I was told in their chat that there was a fee involved in the application after I got the email stating that there was a $10 transaction fee that was going to take place. I never saw this fee and I never approved this fee. My account has been open for less than a week.I have already submitted an ahc transfer of the remaining funds to my account. I would like the $10 also refunded. I want my account permanently closed and all email correspondence to stop after this is taking care of.

NorthOne On June 11th I opened an account

On June 11th I opened an account. A friend of mine referred me. Their terms and conditions stated my first month would be free, and after depositing $50 I would recieve a bonus within 7 business days which is also in the terms. I did all of it, and confirmed with customer service I was eligible for said bonus. They told me I would recieve it today, June 20th. I contacted them earlier and now theyre saying it will be within 30 days. They also did take the $10 monthly fee, thats promised free for the first month. Whenever I speak to them about it I get very vague answers. Im not the only one this has happened to. They wont even help me close my account either. Theyre such frauds its ridiculous. Trying to speak to anyone is a hassle. I do NOT recommend this place at all to any business. Theyre practices are very shady.

NorthOne I signed up for NorthOne a while ago but recently started using it again when they created a referral program of $75/referral

I signed up for NorthOne a while ago but recently started using it again when they created a referral program of $75/referral. I referred multiple people to this bank with the promise of getting $75 for each of them as long as they completed the requirement of a $50 deposit. A few days later I contacted them about why I hadnt received a bonus and they claimed no one had deposited their $50 which the referrals told me they had. The day after that conversation, I sign into my account and my referral link is gone. They took away the referral promotion from my account and when I asked why, they said I went against some rule. (Never stated which one!) They also told me that I wouldnt get paid for any pending bonuses even if the referrals completed the steps. NorthOne stole from me and I would like every referral bonus I earned to be in my account so that I can withdraw the money. I will never use this bank again.

NorthOne I applied for NorthOne Business Bank Account to begin to build my business credit on August 10

I applied for NorthOne Business Bank Account to begin to build my business credit on August 10. I paid the $50 deposit and scheduled a call with NorthOne given the earliest option to be August 11 at *** hrs (9:50am). A representative did call and explained how the account works including about how holds will work for the first 30 day period. Thursday 8/12 I received and email from *** of NorthOne stating that my account was suspended until an account review could be completed. Next line was a request for my ID then 3 links that opens to a page not found message or cannot access due to account not active. Nothing provided to upload anything to NorthOne. Have been live chatting, emailing and calling consistently to no avail. No access to anyone for this business now. It appears to be a scam of some sort to acquire $50 from people and I unfortunately was hit. Don't want this to happen to any other Small Business.

So since I've opened an account with them it's been *** I opened my account and then referred a few business friends in which I received $75 for some I'm still missing 3 referral credits but as soon as it was in my account they froze my account and asked for me to take selfies holding paper id etc and submit documents which I did and they unfroze my account but I've been asking nicely for weeks for the missing referral money and why my link no longer works they keep giving me the run around and saying they fix it I check and it's still not working I reply immediately and nothing back , well today I reached out again and *** said she fixed it again and I said I'm sorry but you've said this every time it's still not fixed and sent a screenshot , and my next message I got back was my account was now suspended again and want me to submit the same document again .. how can they do that just for me asking questions and asking where the money is they owe me , to me it's them trying to get out of paying it !

NorthOne This is not a real bank or a real company

This is not a real bank or a real company. It's an app that does not function properly. First they sign you up but don't mention the transactions are handled by an actual bank (***), not them and they have no power/liability for what that bank does. Second, there is no phone/website service. Only the app and chat. They claim they can't close your account without being on the app but...wait for it...the app will only work for IPhone customers. So I have an account that I can't close that runs up $10 monthly fees and $5 A DAY charge for being overdrawn. So since I have not deposited anything, the fee train is chugging away. Chat says they can do nothing. SCAM PURE AND SIMPLE. If you get money into this account you are subject to them closing the account for no reason and freezing the money. I suppose you could sue to get it back since they won't respond to email but...oh yeah...North One asserts that they cannot be sued for the actions of ***. Try to address *** directly and the refer you back to North One.

NorthOne Yesterday morning (12/**/2020) my bank account online access was blocked

Yesterday morning (12//2020) my bank account online access was blocked. I tried to login and I was told that my account was not accessible any more. See below email received yesterday morning: "Valentina from NorthOne Tue, Dec , 11:19 AM (22 hours ago) to me Hi *** We noticed some recent activity on your NorthOne account that warranted further review. In an effort to protect your funds, we have temporarily locked your account and online banking access while we conduct our review. Keeping your account secure is our top priority and we have taken these steps for your protection. You can find out more by reading our blog post here. Thank you, Valentina" 1. I was not notified ahead of time and I did not even get a courtesy call to give me a heads up. 2. I contacted my bank by chat (the only option) and I was told that no more information could be released. 3. It has been now more than 24 hours and I still have not heard from them. I have not seen any fraudulent activity on my account, just paying regular bills. Now, my whole business operation is on hold and I cannot operate until this issue is solved. No reasons nor explanations have been given to me at this point. I have sent multiple emails begging them to at least contact me and explain what is going on and how long the review will take. This bank has been silent since then and my business is now in jeopardy.

NorthOne On January 4, 2022, I signed up for a checking account with NorthOne being referred by a friend

On January 4, 2022, I signed up for a checking account with NorthOne being referred by a friend. The offer from my friend stated that I needed to deposit $50 and a $75 bonus would be applied for a business checking account. They also had a referral program I was now eligible to take part in. I referred my wife who is starting her own business, which earned me another $75 bonus. To fund the account, I made a $50 payment with a *** debit card ending in ***, and the $75 referral bonus from my friend was immediately added to the account.Shortly after my wife signed up, another $75 bonus posted to my account.A total of $200 was sitting in my new checking account for the signup, and referral actions ($50 deposited + $75 referral + $75 referee bonus).A few hours later, I received an e-mail that we have decided to suspend your account until an account review is completed.I initiated a customer service chat with a *** from *** customer support, to inquire what needed to be done. *** replied: Im unable to confirm as I am not on the *** Services team who conducts account reviews. As I could not get a straight answer from ***, I decided to close my account. I could not, however, get confirmation from *** whether they would be sending the full $200 I had earned, or just the $50 deposit. Hopefully they will do the right thing and refund the full $200.

I had to fight support to get my bonus because they do everything in there power not to payout. After supplying numerous different items they requested they did finally adjust the $75 to both accounts. Once I got my physical card I sent my link to several friends and family members who had businesses. The very first person who signed up and made there deposit NorthOne locked my referral link and told me it would not be unlocked this based off them asking for my photo id and a description of my businesses which I provided. I asked if this would affect my one referral who had completed there sign up and deposit. I was told by *** on 2 different interactions that the referral was successful and both me and my referral would be paid within 7 days so keep an eye out. Kat then writes me in another chat stating that I will not be paid for my referral even though I had already been told it was successful. They have done this to not only me but several people who I know and work with closely! This was my 1st completed referral! I want the company to honor what they are advertising and pay both me and my referral the $75 bonus. I have screenshots of all my interactions with there employees as well as with colleagues who have went through the same

NorthOne I signed up with NorthOne about a month ago to help my new small business grow

I signed up with NorthOne about a month ago to help my new small business grow. However, it wasn't long until their true colors stared to shine. The first sign of trouble was when I received an email stating that my referral link had been revoked and that I needed to provide additional identity verification. I found this odd, but complied after 1 day. Then after I provided my verification I received a follow up email stating that in spite of my identity verification proof that my referral link still could not be re-instated. I protested, but they would not tell me why this was happening and would only direct me to their terms. I read the terms and found that I have done nothing to violate terms (I was just barely starting to use the bank and have never broken any banking rules or laws in my life). Before my link was removed, I had managed to invite a friend to join. He told me yesterday that he received his bonus of $75 and that I should check my account. When I did, I had not been paid a bonus. Very confused about this I contacted NorthOne and they told me that since my link was not active that I could not get a reward! So even though my efforts brought them a new customer and that customer was rewarded, *** refused to honor the terms of the original deal and chose to cheat me out of my bonus. It does not matter that my referral link is no longer valid, this referral was made before that unfair act had taken place. This is beyond unfair, its downright fraudulent and should be illegal.

NorthOne I trusted this platform with my money

I trusted this platform with my money. I heard complaints about the customer service but decided to give them a chance anyway. I hooked my debit account up to my self employed app to receive deposits from the money clients pay me for my business. On June 12th I received a payment of ***. I used my card for 2 online purchases, (shopping groceries which is normal for me) and one purchase at an amusement park. That was the last time I used the card. Yesterday on June 26 I logged into my account and only $78. Was present. In shock, I started to loose my mind. Where was my money !? As I check the statements, someone is using my virtual card # (which I myself have never used) to make purchases on twitch for video game purchases. They have sent themselves over $500 plus made multiple purchases stealing my money. I freeze the card and immediately contact customer service. I get someone only in a chat. Responding to me with robotic already pre written messages saying sorry this is happening Did you write the virtual number down somewhere? Did you lose your wallet? Are you familiar with these purchases? Etc. After I answer all questions, Im told that it will be sent to the criminal investigation team and I will hear back, I ask the time frame I will hear back, and no response. I ask if they can interfere and stop the pending purchases of over $300, $500 etc. no response. Only if they go three we will dispute them I schedule a call to talk to an actual person for 10:30 AM today. I did not receive any call. No response to when the team will reach out. No updates on my stolen money, My virtual card information was somehow loosely leaked online and I cant reach a human being to dispute and get over thousand dollars of my money back. Mind you I only used this card twice. Over *** was stolen from me. This place is a scam. The bank is a scam. Nothing about it is legit. Do not bank with them whatsoever.

NorthOne I joined NorthOne a few days ago; they had a referral program going on: $75 sign on bonus & $75 referral pay when you sign up and make a $50

I joined NorthOne a few days ago; they had a referral program going on: $75 sign on bonus & $75 referral pay when you sign up and make a $50 deposit (the deposit money is still ours to keep) So I did so; I joined and made the deposit, which was pending in my account. I got the $75 sign on bonus instantly and $75 referral pay instantly on my Northone account. I had ordered the debit card and was waiting for it to arrive in the mail so that I could use my money after activating it. The day after joining I got an email saying they had suspended my account and wanted me to answer some questions and prove my business and provide my I. D. I guess to prove I was legit. I did so, hoping that would fix my account. I answered all questions, provided that info, and also gave them a few social media links so they could see exactly what it is I do (plus I explained) and provided payment proof. Today I got an email saying that they closed my account & the lady who has been emailing me has not given my any reason as to why they reached that decision. I emailed her back stating Id like to know why they closed my account and mentioned I was going to the Complaintsboard.com if I didnt get my money as I followed their referral program and didnt do anything wrong, so if they dont pay me thats stealing! She emailed me back the exact generic response she gave me before, only thing new she mentioned was they would send me a check. But she didnt say for how much money! Im assuming only for my $50 deposit back. Im awaiting her response now about that, and hopefully an explanation this time as to why they closed my account for no reason. I am not the only person this exact thing has happened to! So yes I need my $50 deposit back, but I also signed up & made my deposit so I deserve to get my $75 sign on bonus as well! And my referral pay! I did the work and followed their rules, so they should be made to honor their referral program. $275 total! $50 deposit, $75 sign on, $150 referral pay. Pls help!
