Watch out! Don't believe their hype! This "oasis" legal finance company, is not what they appear to be in their commercials.. They are a scam, they lie to potential clients who qualify, telling them, that they will lend money to you, whether you win or lose your case; and it's all bull-*, they just keep giving clients the run-a-round, never returning calls, and you never see a payday (especially when you qualify for the loan!).. They just jerk you around, and keep lying to clients; telling them that they're approved, but the client doesn't get paid! Do not trust them, or do business with these clowns...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I get your point...but just to be fair, Oasis helped me a lot. I have serious injuries requiring surgery and am now disabled in my 30's. Slip and fall lawsuits are very risky for attorneys and lending companies. Oasis helped me even though they knew the risk involved...
check out redwood funding. no scams. fixed rate. no fees
Looking for Advice! I called Oasis just today with questions. The intake operator only said the someone would be calling me within 24hrs and that if no one did, then I should call the toll-free 866#.
It appears that as long as you are well-informed before requesting the advance and well-prepared to re-pay the advance, all should work out just fine.
I have a background in finance, including mortgage and auto loans. I know what to look out for--and what's relevant but missing, in a contract involving monies, loans, etc.
My unexpected disability--due to a careless dog owner (July 2011), has placed me in a position to the point that I may lose my home and car. I don't care about the car so much because I barely drive anymore anyway--too painful. But, in my poor physical health, now is NOT the time to have to pack up and move just because a ruthless, unethical insurance company (All State) refuses to acknowledge the injuries I sustained due to their client's negligence.
I'm going to give Oasis a try AFTER I have read ALL OF THE FINE PRINT and asked all of the right questions and ONLY IF Oasis meets my standards.
I agree Oasis is a scam but honestly you are lucky they never called you back. When they say you "don't have to give the money back, " they mean it's still a loan. You don't have to give it back, you have to PAY IT BACK. With 100%+ interest if you loose your case.
Oasis in particular and other lawsuit finance/investment companies have been sued and regulated out of business in several states by consumer protection laws in the same way and for the same reason that Payday Loan and Title Loan companies have.
I have experience working as a programmer for several of these companies and their explicit goal is to ensure that you are strung along as long as possible and Oasis is in the same vein. At best, you win your case and have to give them $30, 000 out of your settlement for a $7, 000 loan (that's an actual example from a woman in Ohio who was in a car accident). At worst, you lose and have 150% interest on it, no job after your injury and no settlement.
No one is going to give you free money and you should immediately suspect ANYONE who says their loan is "risk free." There is no such company.
Unless you're a lawyer, reading the fine print will do you no good. These companies entire business and existence is predicated on preying on vulnerable people. They have finely tuned their tactics so if you think for a second that you'll be the exception and know what you're doing you're wrong if you even consider this as an option. I know it can be difficult but financing companies like Oasis is a solution, just another way to get into a cycle of poverty.
The Legal Funding Group LLC, Helped my family and I stay in our home! They have amazing people working there and I recommend them hundred percent! Check them out
Redwood Funding, Global and momentum are cheaper
It must depend on which location is doing the lending because my experience was awful. I dealt with Oasis that is based out of Georgia. There are only two people who answer the phone and wont identify themselves. The "supervisor" is very disorganized, and keeps consumer information on random pieces of paper. This concerned me since identity theft is at an all time high. The supervisor even admitted to me that he "threw away" my application. When I questioned him as to why he would do such an unethical and negligent thing, he became exasperated and told me "it was just your name". I am concerned that people are giving information in the hopes of getting money and their personal information is not being properly kept or shredded for disposal purposes. Consumer beware even if you get the money I would still wan to know how they are safeguarding your identity.
Applied over a week ago and still awaiting an answer! The timeframe of hearing from a case manager within 1-2 business days is a crock of ###! Then when you call you get some ghetto attitude stating your case is being "worked on". I'm in a desperate need of financial help that's the only reason I'm taking the loan and it's very discouraging and upsetting that I'm getting the run a round
I strongly urge anyone looking for legal funding to seek out Redwood Funding Group. They are the ONLY conmpany that will give you a guaranteed repayment schedule in your first phone call to them. They are not afraid because their rates beat EVERYONES> They never charge fees and never compound their interest. They have one fixed rate of 15% every six months. I think you need to fill out the Application on their web site.
Weirdest thing. i was going to also recommend Redwood Funding cause I also found them the cheapest. The post above is correct
But if you don’t get a settlement then you don’t have to repay this loan
Check out the small print that quickly comes and goes at the bottom of the screen in their ads. It gives a list of states that they "choose" not to conduct business. Bull. They had no choice, these states have determined they were running a scheme that was harmful to their residents and won't let them operate there. Pay close attention next time you see one of their commercials. Con-artists.
Oasis charge me over 400% interest on 2, $2000 dollars loans when my case was settled. Instead of owing them $5000-$6, 500 it turned up over$48, 500. They are a total scam don't do business with this company, you'll regret it.
How long did your case take to settle after getting the loan?
I also got a loan from Oasis I only received $900 and I'm up to paying back 11000 and my case is not closed yet I am in total disbelief. Would not never called them if I would have known this I was nearly killed in a car accident I pray I receive something from my settlement
When did you get your loan. ? Why so much interest?
The first time I called it was on December 16th 2016 I was told I would get a call back by Monday no one called so I called in on Wednesday to the same rude person that I talk to in the beginning he was so rude this time to that I have to find someone to hear about this company I'm so sorry that I even tried to go through this company I don't know what kind of business they run but it doesn't look good don't waste your time with them it's a joke ten thumbs down on Oasis
I used http://RedwoodFundingGroup.com They gave me a repayment schedule for the amount I wanted to borrow up front. So I called a bunch of other funders and asked what I would owe on my amount after a period of time. Redwood Funding Group was cheaper for all amounts of advances. I used them and was happy. This other company is just a giant looking to step on little people.
Don't do it. Told I would be called, never was. Attorney cas never called, for an email saying attorney would not speak with them. Attorney had been waiting for car, tried to make contact with them, same day get a letter saying they don't do business in "blank" state. All this after they told me they worked with my attorney before and they did work in the states involved. I don't do liars. I have bills I can't pay, a great attorney and a crooked ex employer. I am stuck in the middle. Laws need to be changed to shut these fly by night groups down that try to take advantage of those that really do need assistance. Four years I have barely been getting by and to have users and abuser criminals out there trying to take advantage should be against the law!
wow...after reading all these ugly comments im second guessing Oasis...i just filled out an application with themn 2 days ago. they called me to ask about my attorney. i gave them the information again. i have yet to hear anything from them. with these high rates...its scaring me. im in a serious condition and cannot work. my bills are piling up and what i do not need is someone taking all of what is due to me just for a 4, 000 dollar loan...smh Redwood Financial huh? I will attempt to contact Oasis and ask a lot of questions in the morning. I wish i would have seen this 2 days ago...becus i would not have went with this company...thanks for the reviews...
Over 3 years borrowed and got 900.00 it's currently up to oweing them over 7, 000.00 I asked my lawyer why it was so much he went over the interest on a 1, 900.00 loan!? I told him it was 900.00 he must have been mistaken he emailed the contract he got. Shows I received 1, 900.00. I electronically signed contract so I don't know if it was transferred to a contract or what! I have printed my bank statement from the time I was direct deposited the 900.00 that says oasis and I still have the employee's name and email that helped me contacted them many times wanted it fixed wanted to know who to fax my proof to and I get told that's what I got or I get no responses back when emailing and leaving messages! This is fraud I just want it fixed!
I recently received a loan from Oasis and despite the negativity they were very polite, and approved my loan in 1 day.
I’m still waiting for the funds every time I call when they are past their estimated delivery time I keep getting a new later estimate on when they will arrive
I am glad I found vyour post I find them to be a demon dont go there 400 percent intresr hello satan
