Value Added Taxes
Nautica 09/04/2022 Booking #3158520. My spouse and I were on the cruise and filed a VAT request for refund. We sent the original copy of the receipts. as requested. I personally turned them into the ships steward with the Israeli government official right there with him on 09/05/2022 when requested to do so. I was told it would take 30 - 45 days from the end of the cruise for the refund to occur and it would be done so electronically to the credit card on file for the ship. It has now been 53 days and no refund has occurred. Please check your records and explain when I will receive my VAT refund. Please respond as soon as possible.
Desired outcome: Refund VAT taxes spent in Israel.
Cruise - travel.
We have tried to solve an issue regarding the cancellation of a cruise booked REF: REG220722/#3265976.
See attached documents with multiple communications to the Guest services in both Spanish and English.
As the cruise was purchased in Colombia, and the sales representative does have a local number in my country I expected the disclosure of the terms and conditions prior to my purchase and in the same language all the negotiation was conducted.
On the contrary, terms and conditions were provided on the back of the invoice after payment was made and they were in English. More over, at no pint was I advised that there fees would be non refundable due to their policies, as for them to be refundable the cancelation as to be 121 days prior to departure and I booked with less than 60 days prior to departure.
All this was known by me after they cancelled my cruise. Those terms were never disclosed prior to me paying for the trip.
As detailed on all the attachments you will see that the last response was they they will no longer communicate with me and that they will keep my $14,000 + Dollars without providing me any service.
They use their travel insurance service as an excuse but I was never offered that as an additional service, not the assistance with the Visas or travel documents required.
However, they were pressuring me to pay or I will loose the deal of a life time.
They denied any direct contact making any communication extremely difficult as I will have to call a call center, explain myself to different people every time to obtain a vague answer and be redirected to either send an email or follow up by phone at a later time.
Finally their sales representative disappeared after offering me a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) the day of departure.
Desired outcome: I would like that the FCC offered by their sales representative be honored or if it is not possible a full refund.
Customer service, listening to clients requests respecting clients requests.
'waterboarding marketing/brochure/cruise documents to home address'
Today 29 october 2022 received luggage tags/shore excursion book and life onboard book x2 (for each guest). Have oceania not heard about email and the internet? Do they not listen to client requests? Is it not respectful to ask a client first before opening the floodgates? This material arrived in 2 packets from miami via fedex stuffed into our mailbox in the uk, have norwegian/oceania/regent ss not heard about global footprint? We are drained stressed and very very upset by this. All the material was observed on the internet via guest account portal. We now feel we should not have booked a second cruise with oceania, as what will happen next, a second batch of totally unnecessary duplicate material forced into an unattended mailbox? Yes we have told our uk based agents to stop all marketing and such ticketing at the onset of the booking, but do they listen? Seems no. Therefore another firm are blacklisted for any further business. Distraught is an understatement this is meant to be a luxury respecting cruise line? We think not...
Desired outcome: do not send any material to home address, documentation including luggage tags email only
Failure to return money
Booked a cruise in November 2019 for a March 2020 cruise. This was for my 30th wedding anniversary. The March cruise was cancelled by Oceania due to COVID. Thinking that the world would be back to normal by October 2020, I rebooked the cruise. On July 29, 2020, I received an email from Oceania stating that this cruise was cancelled as well. I called by...
Read full review of Oceania CruisesOverall complaint about the cruise
We booked a cruise on Oceania' Riviera from Miami through the eastern Caribbean. The entire cruise was a disaster. We were delayed in boarding due the clean up process on board on 3/22/16. For the first 4 days we were exposed to the constant use of chemicals being applied ship wide. The chemicals being used were slimy and sticky. You could not avoid them both in the general areas as well as your stateroom. The restaurant service was poor and the servers were surly and totally inept. The excursions were overpriced for the quality received and the overpriced Ala carte items were unrealistic. The cruise was 10 days and if we could have ended after 3 days we would have. The freebies (free WIFI and room service were) could not be utilized. We have cruised before and will do so again but NEVER with Oceania
