I recently had my bathroom gutted (within a year) and rebuilt by OGC and overall it went well. The only issue was that a shower pan was used that needed to be cut and as the slope was very minimal it had to be perfectly laid to correctly flow to the center drain. The house is old (and not level so the slope was pretty much flat and made the water follow the grout line away from the drain initially. After this was discovered the contractors fixed it by adjusting the corner tiles to have more slope. The floor isn't perfectly aligned with a lip created by the fix but by that point I wanted my bathroom renovation to be done rather than a large time consuming full floor readjust. Otherwise everything is great and looks good. Recently I noticed the wall hooks were pulling away from the walls and the paint was having some issues so I emailed about a warranty fix. Within a few days, a representative from OGC arrived and fixed it good as new. He also fixed a small issue with the ceiling not being as level as it should have been. Luckily I was within the 1 year warranty period so it went smoothly. The process was not without issue but by the end the issues were resolved.
proved us wrong
proved us wrong. They went above and beyond to address the issue and ensure our satisfaction. We are extremely impressed with their commitment to customer service and their willingness to stand behind their work. We highly recommend OGP for any renovation project.
We were hired by OGC last summer and although we had never worked together before this, the owner and project manager put all their trust and faith in us specially while dealing with some issues we encountered along the way. The Project Manager was always there when needed . Their overall experience in the industry made communication back and forth, effortless. Thank you for trusting us and for the business . OGC should have been an integral part of ourproject but due to the lack of reliability and consistency to maintain efficiency and productivity, there was no value-add to contracting OGC business to ensure the project was completed successfully and according to schedule. The following are key elements to our statement above: 1) Project Management â€" lack of a highly skilled project manager assigned to this project resulting in: a. poor attention to details for each milestone b. lack of site presence to manage progress and oversee work details/instructions c. lack of understanding of the original SoW d. not adhering to proper building code e. lack of controlling time management / project risk f. lack of activity and resource planning g. lack of managing necessary project documentation 2) Communication â€" Due to the lack of communication, being the customer, we had to micro-manage and fulfill project management duties which was OGC's obligation as per the SoW. 3) Skilled resources (incl. subcontractors) â€" OGC unable to secure skilled resources being internal/external to fulfill project and meet deliverables (i.e. siding contractors) 4) Schedule commitments â€" project delays and follow-through with initial timelines. Continuous delays from anticipated close date being end of August to actual close date beginning of December 5) Understanding of SoW and customer requirements â€" resulted in multiple CO's 6) Supply Chain â€" inability to secure material
The designer was very responsible for all wishes and recommended the best technical proposals!

Partially renovated small unfinished basement and bathroom
Partially renovated small unfinished basement and bathroom. It was a pretty scary looking basement before and looks much better now. It took about 3 months once the work got started. Additional work had to be undertaken and not much option to negotiate because the work has already started so ended up paying more than I budgeted. The communication was very good - always polite and available to answer questions and discuss any concerns.
OGC completed my total home renovation and my experience has been great
OGC completed my total home renovation and my experience has been great. The project managers, John and Sarah, were always available to me (I can be very needy) and were always pleasant. The contracting teams were very polite and professional. An area for improvement could be dealing with the logistics of materials; however, my project did start during the pandemic, so I was told that was the main issue. I would recommend OGC to my family and friends.

I had a second storey addition put on top of my bungalow, it was about 1000 square feet. We also renovated our main kitchen. Our project was about $450,000. The project got off to a rocky start, mostly due to the lack of professionalism by another company, but the team at OGC were persistent and ensured me that they would take care of it. I feel forever grateful to this company because we weren't the easiest clients to deal with. At times we were very emotional but my OGC project manager always provided us with a high level of comfort through this confidence and expertise. Thank you OGC team for helping us get through this project.
The only reason this company gets one star is that everyone is nice
The only reason this company gets one star is that everyone is nice. This company has no internal communication. People show up knowing nothing about the project, not having the correct material or equipment and offering contradictory advice from one visit to the next. Their plans are incomplete and the resulting product suffers as a result. They have no quality control over their own staff p's work nor that of the many sub (and sub of sub) contractors. This is all left to the homeowner. They tried to charge almost double the cost of material (thank goodness we saw the invoice from the supplier!) (I have not complained about timelines (which all been blown completely) because it is construction and COVID ) In a nut shell you have to be your own general contractor so waaay better to save your money and pay yourself. I have no doubt you will do a better job and be less stressed doing it.

We first met the representative from OCG in June to discuss our renovation ideas. We converted our mudroom into a laundry room with dog spa, replaced our existing kitchen countertops with quartz, and installed a new backsplash. We also finished the basement, creating an office, 3 piece bath, games room, bar, and family room.
The OCG team did a great job putting our ideas into accurate 3D designs. Our project began in October and was completed mid-January . During that time, the OCG project manager and the design consultant were indispensable. The design consultant's concepts and ideas were fantastic, and the project manager ensured our schedule ran smoothly with no major issues or delays. A special shout out to the OCG jack of all trades who did exceptional work.
From beginning to end, OCG personnel were professional, accommodating, and engaged. They were quick to respond to calls and emails as well as any issues that came up. Overall, we had a very positive experience and absolutely love our renovation. We would highly recommend this company to our family and friends.
