I bought a gas deep freeze from OK Furnitures last year. This deep freeze was from the floor and not from stock as there was no stock left in the warehouse. Firstly, the deep freeze was delivered to me wrapped in glad wrap. I let this go as this was a deep freeze from the floor due to the "out of stock" situation.
Shortly afterwards, when comparing to a friend's exact same deep freeze bought from the same store, we found that there was something wrong with the deep freeze. After continuous calls and being told that Emily is either busy with a somebody or something, on lunch or out, I eventually got in my car and drove to the store. Once again, she was not there but I left my cell number. Later that afternoon I called myself and then spoke to her. By now it was the 22nd of December 2023. After that I called daily and was told just after Christmas that the suppliers was closed for the festive season. I accepted that and then started calling again at the beginning of January.
After many excuses OK Furniture came to fetch the deep freeze at my house mid-January. Once again, I phoned and phoned. About a week later Emily called and said the supplier has fetched the deep freeze. This did annoy me as I was told the supplier would come and fix the deep freeze at the store. They just fetched the deep freeze a week earlier in the hope that I'd stop calling.
Last week I called many times and the times I spoke to Emily she said she couldn't get hold of the supplier and has emailed many times. This kept on all of last week. I'm continuously being told the case has been "escalated" and how "unacceptable" this was. OK Furniture finding this "unacceptable" doesn't change the fact that I have food in my neighbour's house, across the road and up the street! I paid cash for this deep freeze just as I have paid cash for everything I've bought from your store.
What is really concerning is the reviews OK Furniture carries, 97% unresolved and 3% resolved. The excuses given by Emily and her manager are "unacceptable". We're headed for more severe load shedding, and I bought a gas deep freeze especially for this reason!
Claimed loss: I buy milk and meat in bulk. This was thrown away.
Desired outcome: Give me back my money so that I can buy from a company where the people actually care.
