In April 2023 I lost my dad and fortunately for me I had just taken a funeral plan for both my parents police forensic department was involved and we were provided with all documents and and a death certificate. I submitted the documents to the insurance company, OLD Mutual to be specific as well as standard bank, because of the nature of my father's death some answers were needed, Standard Bank was so helpful their client services contacted me every week to give me feedback on how they are getting to questions asked and finally paid out the claim but disappointingly OLD MUTAL to this day they are quiet I have been to their branches several times even yesterday the 22 September 2023 still nothing done but they were quick to close the case and yet they sit will the documents of people who have the answers they so need, why can't they do what standard bank did, since April, this is the 5th month now. I really don't wish that anyone should be going through this I have never been so stressed having to bury my dad from borrowed money which is adding even more pain to my situation on top of loosing my dad, going to OLD MUTUAL and taking a hire cover with them than STANDARD Bank was my biggest mistake and I regret greatly.
